NOT a real advertsing |
In their most recent FEC filing, the Donald Trump campaign revealed that they paid $35,000 to an ad agency that, by all appearances, doesn’t actually exist.
Think Progress’ Judd Legum caught the odd detail when poring over Trump’s financial statements.
Draper Sterling is the name of the ad agency in AMC’s Mad Men. But Legum is right; Trump’s financial filings show that he made several payments to Draper Sterling in April of this year for web advertising.
Apparently the address for this fictional company is just a hop, skip, and a jump from former campaign manager Corey Lewandowski's hometown.
Probably just a coincidence.
Or not.
I kid you not, I literally do not know what to say here.Want some Trump news? The campaign is doing a forensic audit on all of Corey Lewandowski's spending.— Matt Mackowiak (@MattMackowiak) June 21, 2016
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA!
ReplyDeleteThe only way this could get better is if $arah$aysPayme also had a hand in it.
DeleteDidn't Trump spokesman, John Miller, work there?
Delete.....?
MarketWatch also notes that it seems that Trump himself is being paid a salary from the campaign, something candidates generally don’t do.

I know what to say Gryph: Unfuckingbelievable!
ReplyDeleteSarah is pissed off that she is missing out on all this sweet grifting going on in the Trump campaign.
ReplyDeleteWhat exactly is a forensic audit?
ReplyDeleteFrom Wikipedia:
Delete"Forensic accounting, forensic accountancy or financial forensics is the specialty practice area of accounting that describes engagements that result from actual or anticipated disputes or litigation. "Forensic" means "suitable for use in a court of law", and it is to that standard and potential outcome that forensic accountants generally have to work. Forensic accountants, also referred to as forensic auditors or investigative auditors, often have to give expert evidence at the eventual trial.[1] All of the larger accounting firms, as well as many medium-sized and boutique firms and various Police and Government agencies have specialist forensic accounting departments. Within these groups, there may be further sub-specializations: some forensic accountants may, for example, just specialize in insurance claims, personal injury claims, fraud, Anti-Money Laundering, construction,[2] or royalty audits.[3]"

DeleteA forensic audit is used to follow a money trail if there are discrepancies in the books. Very fitting in this circumstance; the same procedure should be used on the crooked palins!!

A forensic audit is when accountants go over the books to find malfeasance or thievery.
DeleteA forensic audit is an examination and evaluation of a firm's or individual's financial information for use as evidence in court. A forensic audit can be conducted in order to prosecute a party for fraud, embezzlement or other financial claims.

Well, that's just rude. They asked a question that other readers might also be curious about, and received answers that might benefit more than just the one who asked the question.

Trump is giving his speech right now and he is reading it from a teleprompter at one of his properties. It is so obvious the applause he is getting is from paid Trump employees. Sort of like applause or laugh tracks used by TV shows. The room is not big, it has a lot of reporters in it so you hear the same Trump guys leading the "yeah" sounds. Also when he reads from a teleprompter he makes this weird sound when he catches his breath.
ReplyDeleteMy Bet> Master Orange is "hanging around his dTRUMP Tower palace "Safe ROOM" waiting to "Do the Hitler" bunker 'End Game".. After HIS resistance.

ReplyDeleteThis is almost too sweet. Obviously Lewandowski knew exactly how limited the orange thing is.
DeleteSo, Corey grifted off ot the grifter.
ReplyDeleteHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!
If they throw Corey under the bus maybe he will start talking. I can't wait for the FEC to do an audit of all the payments going to Trumps businesses.
ReplyDeleteThey fired him, how much farther under the bus can he go?
Delete@8:31
DeleteJail would be further under the bus. Yesterday he said, "I get to go home to my family". It seemed weird when he said it but now it seems telling.
Rubio losing in November will be sweet

ReplyDeleteAnd there's SOOOO much more that will be hitting the news. Wanna bet RNC is doing all of their opposition research on Heir dRUMPf?
ReplyDeleteThe RNC and Trump are engaged. The convention will be the wedding. There isn't much time left.
DeleteWell someone from RNC has a hand in the latest lawsuit, filed in federal court Monday, alleging the orange pedophile raped a 13 year old.
DeleteWhy doesn't the liberal media report that @2:21?
DeleteWell, I guess that tells us what Donald Trump and company think of US laws and election requirements. Or is it all just a tasteless joke. I don't mean his candidacy, which may well be a joke as well, but the filing information.
ReplyDeleteBeaglemom
OT only because I want you to feel my pain - Marco Rubio has decided he IS going to run for his senate seat again.
ReplyDeleteAnd I was so looking forward to never having to hear his smarmy voice again. Sigh.
I do feel your pain. Sara is still in our lives too.
DeleteSmarmy nails it. Same as Ted Cruz in that you want to take a shower after hearing them speak. Slimey.
DeleteHe found out that he'd have to get a real job come January. Rubio has been about the laziest senator out of a bunch of do-nothing Republicans. I do hope that Floridians have had enough of his good-for-nothingness and will send him packing.
DeleteBeaglemom
Marvin - keep singing this until the election: "Goodbye, Rubio Tuesday." I hope he loses on that Tuesday in November!
DeleteTrump just gave a weird speech. He was very flat and depressed looking. Pandered all the way through promising more jobs, fixed infrastructure, higher wages for everyone, and tax cuts for everyone. No plans were given to carry out this fairy tale of course.
ReplyDeleteOnce a crook, always a crook.
ReplyDeleteAt least this time he's being exposed to the entire country as a cheap conman.
Who will write the screenplay for the movie. It begs to be written and seen. :D

Now, it's personal: molesting the memory of my favorite television show.
ReplyDeleteDon Draper was really Dick Whitman and stole the former fellow's identity - and switched dogtags - when he was killed in Korea. He was a man pretending to be someone he was not. A star in advertising, yes, but always one government or police investigation away from being revealed and prosecuted as a deserter. In one flashback, his dead father says to him, "Look at your hands. Soft as a woman's. You manufacture bullshit."
A good deal of Trump parallel should be obvious.
So Corey Lewandowski trumped Trump. He must have graduated from Trump U with a PhD in Trumping the system. Ahahahahahahahaha

ReplyDeleteHis is giving his speech from one of his properties, how much will he charge the RNC?

Two words
ReplyDeleteMoney Laundering
this story has many legs including that of a former Navy Seal
Deleteformer Navy SEAL Paul Holzer
DeleteNBC news just picked up the story. It should make the national network national news tonight.
Draper Sterling was only incorporated in March, and the registered agent, according to New Hampshire public records, is a man named Jon Adkins — who separately was paid $3,000 in May for "field consulting" by the Trump campaign.
Another man using Adkins' New Hampshire address, former Navy SEAL Paul Holzer, also pocketed $3,000 for field consulting on the same day, the filing shows.
Holzer and Adkins are listed as co-founders of a Boston-based medical non-profit startup called Xeno Therapeutics, and Holzer has other political connections, having worked on GOP gubernatorial campaigns in Massachusetts and Missouri.
As ThinkProgress reported, Holzer is the brother of Adam McLain, who runs the super-PAC Patriots for America. The super-PAC's filing show it owes more than $56,000 to a firm called — you guessed it — Draper Sterling.
That Draper Sterling is located in Delaware, not New Hampshire, though. Delaware records don't show who runs it, and it's not clear if it's the same entity.

He's gonna make the Lewandowski guy the fall guy for any and all financial irregularities of the campaign.
ReplyDeleteEven if he, himself, did it or ordered L and others to do it.
Because, you know, The Donald is perfect and never makes mistakes. Or bad business decisions. Or cheats.
Birds of a feather flop together... I hope.
DeleteOne thing is for sure, Corey was let go because something big was about to blow one way or another. Whose credit card was used four times on the same day. It was charged $10,000, $10,000, $10,000 + $5,000 all on the same day for a total of $35,000. If this was on Corey's card, he will be the fall guy even if he was not involved in the scam.
DeleteThe Alaskans in the crowd will understand this. The Trump campaign sounds a lot like the John Landauer for Governor campaign.
ReplyDeleteOops ... Lindauer. I had it right, but spellcheck "fixed" it for me.

The shit has hit the fan at the various Draper/Sterling households. How crooked and stupid are these guys? We are about to find out. And Donald Trump is right in the middle of the story. Looking forward to Hillary recounting this story in one of her speeches about Trump's incompetency to run this country. This story has CON MAN written all over it. Maybe Dakota Meyer will make a cameo in this somewhere and Bristol will be standing there with blood coming out of her wherever.
