This is perfect.

Is anybody not mocking Bernie Sanders right now?

I was a Hillary supporter way back when she was running against Obama and remain one today. That said, I don't believe most people think about Bernie anymore. He's just a minor nuisance, like a housefly you want to swat away. But by bringing this up again, you're kind of being a jerk. Either that or too lazy to Google an atheist meme for an overnight post.

Who is a "jerk"? This is G's blog?! Don't like it leave! He can bring up what ever he wants again and again and again!
That being said, Bernie is like the Guest who won'[t leave the party, he has snarfed up all the food and drink and refuses to leave.
That is how I see it.
Kind of reminds me of Palin, her 15 mins were up years ago but she won't leave either.... I hope Bernie is not that stupid.

6:06 If you see Bernie as an interloper, that is your opinion. It's a short-sighted shallow opinion, but it's yours, none the less.

And thank you for showing the dissenters the door... you're like the hostess who won't let anyone in who is not in costume because you are worried about what the neighbors will think.

"you're like the hostess who won't let anyone in who is not in costume because you are worried about what the neighbors will think."
      Huh?
No to be CLEAR, Bernie is like the guy at the "last call" every night who won't leave the Bar! Is that clear enough for you?
You seem to have comprehension problem.
I'm not showing "dissenters" the door, most of us have been silent, because of not wanting to hurt the little fee, fees of the Bernie bros. We have had to celebrate a Historic time in America, (no Amerikka) in silence not to hurt the little fee, fees of the Bernie bros.

Sour grapes leave quite a stench 7:02. Grumpy bernie has a lot of grumpy supporters who have been given NO direction from their leader as to what to do now. He is hiding away counting his money and lucking wounds and has left all of you at the lurch. I understand why the only thing you feel you should do is attack the nominee-he sure hasn't endorsed nor embraced her but then he never has been a democrat so maybe he just doesn't care who our nominee is. In America we can speak freely in person or on a blog. Why can't you bernie bros understand that concept?

Now when claiming he's "sabotaging" his legacy fits your narrative to further demean and degrade Sanders are you calling his campaign "important".

Name calling has never changed anyone's mind, gryphen. Maybe you should e-mail Hilary and tell her to denounce more war.
"I have a plan to go after ISIS. Not to contain them, but to defeat them. It has three parts. First, deprive them of territory they occupy in Syria and Iraq. Second, dismantle their network of terrorism. Third, do more to keep us safe. We have to have an American-led air campaign, we have to have Arab and Kurdish troops on the ground. We have got to go after everything from North Africa to South Asia and beyond."

But you skipped over the most important part.
I would never vote for Cruz because he said "If I am elected president, we will utterly destroy ISIS," the Texas senator and Republican presidential candidate told reporters. "We won’t weaken them. We won’t degrade them. We will utterly destroy them. We will carpet bomb them into oblivion. We will arm the Kurds." How is that much different except more pleasant wording from Hillary saying "Not to contain them, but to defeat them." and "We have to have an American-led air campaign, we have to have Arab and Kurdish troops on the ground."

  13. There are plenty of people on Facebook who are still insistent that Bernie *will* win the nomination, on account of the superdelegates, blah blah fishcakes. They are convinced that Bernie really won all the states except for the blatant cheating that nobody has managed to actually prove.

I think Bernie's staying in, in the hopes of improving his position post-election. I believe that he's damaging his own position when magnanimity and graciousness (such as Hilary demonstrated in 2008 when Obama won the nod) would serve him better.

In the meantime, I have no respect for someone who won't release tax records and explains that his wife does them. No matter who does them, they're his records, and he ought to have released them early... but he didn't, and that in itself raises questions.

When Sen. Bernie Sanders, the now-vanquished Democratic presidential candidate, returns to Capitol Hill to vote Monday, he is expected to be accompanied by his constant traveling companions from the campaign trail: the U.S. Secret Service.

Although Hillary Clinton has clinched the party’s nomination, Sanders retains one of the trappings of a top-notch candidate. A team of agents still guards him at his home, where they’ve constructed a small watch station on the property. They travel with him on commercial and charter flights and use a motorcade to whisk him through cities he visits. And they recently marched alongside him during a gay-pride event here in his home town after the Orlando shootings.

Such round-the-clock protection can cost taxpayers more than $38,000 a day. And with the potential for the Secret Service to be watching over Sanders through the Democratic convention in Philadelphia five weeks from now, the taxpayers may get stuck with a big security bill long after his campaign receded from the daily cable-news cycle.

The continued security presence also reflects a larger reality of Sanders’s muddled standing in the Democratic race. He has virtually no chance of becoming the party’s nominee, and he is no longer pressing his case to Democratic leaders that he should. Yet Sanders remains an active candidate because he has not “suspended” his campaign or taken any other steps that would alter his official status.

“He’s in a kind of political purgatory right now,” said Mary Anne Marsh, a Democratic strategist who has worked for neither the Clinton nor Sanders campaign. “He has the perception of still running for president, but he’s not doing that in reality.”

10:39 - You are wrong. Think it through instead of parroting something that makes no sense. The Secret Service didn't employ more agents to protect Sanders so there's no added cost to taxpayers for protecting Bernie Sanders.

When Sanders' Secret Service protection ends they'll be assigned somewhere else and still be paid.

Make a note to yourself so you don't look like a dumbass again: there are only labor costs if workers are added. There is only labor savings if workers are eliminated. Protecting Bernie is cost-neutral.

Don't use her husband as your defense-his terms in the White House were his but I will say though you all lamant him now back when he was in office and when he left the country was experiencing an economic boom we haven't seen since then. No be was complaining then

"While Bernie was collecting unemployment until he was 40 years old "

This is a patently false statement that undermines the rest of your post.

9:54 and 10:21 - classic goalpost moves - changing the criteria when the initial point has been answered. And your statements are patently false, too. Thanks for playing.

By the way, don't you realize Clinton won and you don't have to slander Sanders anymore?

Who is slandering? Fact: Sanders did not have a regular paycheck until 40. Fact: Bernie was a deadbeat dad to his out of wedlock son who he made call him "Bernard." Take it up with Politico if you don't like it.

Gryphen and his followers are certainly hateful towards the very people who are most needed to support Hillary in the general election. Unless, like Trump, you feel that you can do it alone and do not need the support of Bernie voters. There is a lot of people who are simply not that excited about Hillary for various reasons, and to constantly insult their intelligence is not the way to influence and win friends. I can't tell you the number of times when the response from people on this blog is simply telling me and others to F off. It truly doesn't reflect well upon Hillary supporters to have such vocal opposition to anyone who isn't ready to vote for her. I gave up my vote for Ralph Nader for Gore, but with this type of hatefulness of Hillary's supporters--you are convincing the most likely voters for Hillary to simply let the chips fall where they fall. She hasn't earned my vote yet. I believe she is more Republican than Democrat, and she isn't convincing on the issues that I care about.

Maybe you should understand that Hillary doesn't need the Bernie Bros for anything, now run along and practice farting.

BTW we don't "hate" Bernie, most of us just realize that Bernie is a useless old fool who more than likely suffers from dementia.

Hillary's being one gracious winner, a quality I happen to like in a person.
