Doonesbury's take on Donald Trump.

Doonesbury has had Trump's number for over twenty years now.

Speaking of Trump it appears that the business school he is always bragging about attending, would like him to stop.

This is from an open letter written by some Wharton School alumni:

We, proud students, alumni, and faculty of Wharton, are outraged that an affiliation with our school is being used to legitimize prejudice and intolerance. Although we do not aim to make any political endorsements with this letter, we do express our unequivocal stance against the xenophobia, sexism, racism, and other forms of bigotry that you have actively and implicitly endorsed in your campaign.

We, the undersigned Wharton students, alumni, and faculty, unequivocally reject the use of your education at Wharton as a platform for promoting prejudice and intolerance. Your discriminatory statements are incompatible with the values that we are taught and we teach at Wharton, and we express our unwavering commitment to an open and inclusive American society.

Damn, you have to be some kind of POS for students of your old alma mater to organize just to let people know that their school is not responsible for your bullshit.

I can't wait to begin trashing Barron Trump. His mother says he's a little Donald, so we'll see how well he holds up to it.

Trump promised to release the speakers list for his convention last Wednesday. Then he changed the release date to Thursday. He had all the spaces filled and a waiting list don't you know. Still waiting for the list .....

Doonesbury had me with the opening image.

He clearly understands the intricacies of Trump's weave...

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott sustained second- and third-degree burns hours before the attack on Dallas law enforcement. Abbott was on vacation in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, when he was burned by hot water on both legs below the knees.

Abbott’s schedule is expected to be lightened over the next few weeks, a result of which could be him having to miss next week’s Republican National Convention in Cleveland. Instead of a speech by Abbott, Clint Eastwood will ramble incoherently to an empty wheelchair.

Sad but true, in a recent survey 57% of republicans would rather be in an emergency room than in Cleveland for the republican convention.

What was Abbott doing getting his legs burned in Jackson Hole when he knew there was going to be a demonstration in Texas? Or is he not aware of what is going on his state unless it specifically has to do with taking away women's rights?

It is also worth mentioning that right wing nut jobs blamed former governor Martin O'Malley for the riots in Baltimore over the Freddie Gray police brutality case despite the fact that Maryland's governor at the time was republican Larry Hogan who is besties with Chris Christie.

Gee, he burned himself just to get out of going to the convention? That is desperate.

  6. Note the radio silence, over the years, from the University of Idaho over its most famous Probably-Didn't-Graduate, $arah Louise Heath.

Also, too, when Drumpf bangs the drum about being a "Wharton graduate," he's implying he has an MBA from the Wharton School of Business at Penn. He has no such thing. After two years at Fordham, Drumpf transferred to Penn to complete his bachelor's degree. That's what he has, no crime in that (that I know of), but clearly he seethes at those who have MBAs (Romney, W.), or law degrees (Obama, both Clintons).

Two years as an undergraduate at Wharton, when it still had undergraduate courses, with a final degree, I believe, in "real estate."
      Again, that's an adequate education,
for a real estate developer. It doesn't even begin to cover the background and intelligence needed for a president, senator, governor, representative, or, hmmm, small-town mayor.

That is interesting info, I never looked into it but always presumed he had an MBA.

Another day, another lie from little Donnie. This guy really needs a psyc evaluation.

I still think Sarah earned her grades on her back and that's why she transferred so often. I also think none of her alma maters acknowledge her to keep that fact hush hush.

The Clinton campaign is releasing a devastating anti-Trump ad called "Dictators" today, during which they roll tape on Dangerous Don praising the leadership of Kim Jong Un, Muammar Gaddafi, Vladimir Putin, and Saddam Hussein.

The Clinton campaign’s biggest job as they face off with Donald Trump right now is restraint, letting the press do their job until the press stumbles or misses a major point. All they need to do is simply use Donald Trump’s own words against him.

And here you go. It’s a devastating new web ad called “Dictators”, during which they roll tape on Dangerous Don praising the leadership of Kim Jong Un, Muammar Gaddafi, Vladimir Putin, and Saddam Hussein.

The video asks what kind of president Trump would be, given his admiration for dictators.

Trump’s Worst Nightmare Comes True As Clinton And Sanders To Campaign Together In NH

The Clinton campaign released a statement confirming the rally with Sanders, “On Tuesday, July 12, U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders will join Hillary Clinton for a campaign event at Portsmouth High School to discuss their commitment to building an America that is stronger together and an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top.”

At virtually the same time, Sen. Sanders released a statement, “U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders on Tuesday will join Hillary Clinton for a campaign event at Portsmouth High School to discuss their commitment to building an America that is stronger together and an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top.”

Two statements with nearly the same message was not an accident. There are some Sanders supporters who are endorsement deniers out there, but it’s clear that Sen. Sanders will be endorsing Hillary Clinton tomorrow.

Don’t Let Them Kid You: In All the Ways that Matter, Trump Really is an Evangelical

In The Evangelicals and the Great Trump Hope, Robert P. Jones of the Public Religion Research Institute, looks at Evangelical support for Donald Trump. The question that lies at the heart of Jones’ column is, “Can the era of white Protestant dominance in America be recovered?”

Dominance being another way of saying “privilege.” In other words, a place where Fox News’ “white Christian Americans” have all the cards. These days, white Christian Americans like to accuse others who demand equal rights of wanting “special rights” but what is really going on is that these Evangelicals don’t want to lose their special rights.

And so they have turned to Donald Trump.

...It is true that Evangelical hopes and Donald Trump’s rhetoric coincide. Making America great again is making America white again. Trump has been very clear about that. It also means making America Christian again, whatever Americans’ own views of religion or the guarantees of First Amendment.

...And let’s face it: the America they want to go back to never really existed. Their Protestantism is not the Protestantism of most Protestants (those are the people Rick Santorum says are “gone from the world of Christianity”).

It is not even certain the religion of Evangelicals can be called Christianity when it lacks Jesus. It is more a means to sanctify bad behavior and bigotry based on a cherry-picked text it is evident most of them have never read.

There is nothing good and pure about the hopes of these “white Christian Americans.” In their hatred of true religious freedom, there is nothing even particularly American about them, let alone “real” American.
