Thank you Gryph for the pearl of genuine wisdom. It works for all. Good on you for 'done good' with raising (influence on) your daughter.

Taking pride in your children is one of life's simple pleasures. Take a bow. It is well deserved Gryphen.

But Humpty Dumpty Trumpty sit on a wall, Humpty Dumpty had a great fall......all the groves men and all the classless women could not put humpty dumpty trumpty back together again. Trumpty tweeted the constitutional sheriffs badge to rig and dig but no no no he is still a loser. Anyone still own garbage pail kid cards? "DONALD DUMPTY" is the card to own.....dump is holding a trowel for mortar and a texas state flag in the background. It is hugely perfect.

There is the difference between liberals and the "religious GOP." They never 'try to do good.' They try to do whatever will benefit them. Pretty damn sad.

Nope, we never do. We never try to give people a living wage, never try to improve military pay or raise their benefits, never do we want to make college more affordable so we can have an educated populace, never do we want to feed the poor, never do we want to have healthcare for everyone because it should be a right not a privilege, never do we want to share the wealth so everyone can have a chance and not just the 1%. No we never try to do good. I don't know what is wrong with us. Why can't we vote for more war, pay our vets less, abandon them when they are mentally and/or physically disabled? Why can't we increase the infant mortality rate and vote to put more people in prison? AND WTF can't we help the 1% get more of the money? Why can't we just be good Republicans?

Personally, 4:54, I don't TRY to do good. I just DO IT! And I have far too many examples of what I do to post here. (Many of us here could probably say the same.) Besides, I have nothing to prove - especially to a person making hateful, hurtful comments who does so seemingly to cause discord.

I sincerely hope you never have to depend on the "goodness" of your fellow republicans.

You know Gryph, I think that for the most part you are a good guy.. However, I was a little bit put off by your handling of Bernie Sanders. I'm a quiet Bernie supporter, I like they guy, always have, even long before he jumped in the race. Your coverage of Bernie was....disappointing....to say the least.

If I didn't know better, I'd say that HRC's camp was paying you.

But that assholishness aside, you're not a bad guy.

That Gryph does not support who you do doesn't make him an asshole. I consider his coverage more than fair.

Oh I don't think Gryphen's coverage was balanced, but that doesn't make him an asshole. He is expressing his likes and dislikes on HIS blog. Some of you forget that this isn't a public NPR media site.

"He is expressing his likes and dislikes on HIS blog".

If you're going to use the old "HIS" to excuse how rude he is to Sander's supporters, then you'd have to except it for how Palins treat Obama supporters.

There is no excuse. You don't degrade an entire group of people as if they are all the same person.

You seem very insecure in your parenting skills. Does your daughter have a mother? I don't think you raised her alone.

Hello fellow IM'ers. I am a longtime reader, first time commenter. I'm working toward my graduate degree and my thesis is, in part, dedicated to discovering how and why people have changed in regard to "celebrities"/people of note being more accessible than ever via social media. For my case study, I'm undertaking a comprehensive review of our very own IM troll, Alicia Manglesdorf. Just in my preliminary research, I have demonstrated that Alicia spends virtually all of her waking hours supporting and defending the palins, most especially Bristol.

If you have an anecdote concerning Alicia, I would love to hear it. I'm also interested in any usernames you've seen her use. (I have already discovered more than FIFTY usernames she has employed in just the last year)
Thank you all, and thanks Gryphen for allowing me to post this here.

Yes, it truly is. After reading about the dysfunctional, violent, do-nothing, grifter Palins for so long, yes, it is refreshing to see the results of good parenting, especially when both parents were the length of the US apart.

Gryphen, this positive and rather innocuous post seems to have brought out some bitter trolls.

    Well done!!

Plus, I love your daughter's post- that is something that fundies just can't seem to comprehend- plus, as these trolls demonstrate (Palins?) they have been brainwashed to think "liberals" are innately bad people. I find that very sad to go through life that way.

I grew up in a household where "libruls" were bad. The older I got, the more my thoughts changed as I discovered the world.

Perhaps trolls here should read The Sermon On The Mount Matthew 5.

You raised her right. Good Parenting is one of the hardest jobs, but so rewarding. Just think how much better off the world is because of good parenting?
