Newt Gingrich is suspended from Fox News. Does that mean he will be Donald Trump's running mate?

Courtesy of HuffPo:

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is no longer a contributor to Fox News, the network announced Tuesday.

“Fox News Channel has mutually agreed to suspend its contributor agreement with Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich effective immediately,” said a statement from Jay Wallace, the network’s executive vice president of news. “Due to the intense media speculation about Gingrich’s potential selection as Donald Trump’s vice presidential candidate, we felt it best to halt his contributor role on the network to avoid all conflicts of interest that may arise.”

Rachel Maddow pointed out on her show last night that when a Republican loses his job on Fox News that it typically indicates that they are about to launch a campaign for political office.

So does this prove that Gingrich is the guy for Trump?

I have no idea.

Nothing about Donald Trump makes any kind of sense, therefore I make no predictions.

However what we do know is that the other two names that have been bandied about recently are Mike Pence..
Zzzz, okay does anybody else have trouble staying awake while looking a a picture of Mike Pence?

and Chris Christie.

So we can logically assume that Trump is going to appoint another white dude to join him on the ticket.

And since he recently said that he wants an attack dog for a VP, that would seem to put Chris Christie and his mangina in the front of the pack.

  1. Anonymous11:40 AM

    Pence - snooze
Christie - Trump's disgust of over weight people may keep him from pick Christie - but he was born to be an attack dog - it would be great to get him out of NJ (we hate him here) but I would not wish him on the rest of the country - just hoping his career is damaged enough he won't be governor again ever any where - but I have a feeling he would rather be Attorney General (appointed by President Trump) - all that power, and ability to spread corruption and fear and all done in the back ground and in secret far away from the spot light of being VP
Gingrich - they are two peas in a pod, and he brings the evangelicals along (they love their sinners who cheat on their wife etc.) - if I were going to bet - I think it will Gingrich

    1. Anonymous1:00 PM

They are all a fucking nasty bunch. Seriously doubt any of them will EVER be elected to any position anywhere in the USA! They must think Americans are really stupid!

    2. Anonymous3:25 PM

I don't see Gingrich down with the "hating" or the "h8'rs" lovin' him.
I do see them going nuts after our Wasilla dingbat tho.
I do think she has been advising trump, get the meth pipe √ spew about Obama√ spread h8√ act like a flippin idiot on drugs, cue the "mosquito speech" and her "Punk assss thuggery goin' on here" √
Nobody is dumb enough to want it eXCEPT for HER!
      Ms Wasyphillis!
People are thinking it but not saying it b/c it would RILLY be the dumbass team! EVAH!
When Trump loses I expect him to check into rehab without MS Wasysphillis. She will die before going to rehab....

  2. How can that Christie picture put anyone to sleep?
I would be tortured & traumatized by severely frightening nightmares.

    1. Anonymous12:58 PM

You'd think he'd be embarrassed as hell about that photo being in circulation.

He has lost weight since then though - even though he has more to go. He still doesn't appear healthy - but, neither does Trump!

They are ALL something else to draw from! None of them will ever win the presidency and vice presidency. Tain't a gonna happen!

  3. Anonymous11:46 AM

Trump and Gingrich--two peas in a pod--two serial adulterers.

What the hell does "pursuant" mean? It's in there twice and is used commonly by attorneys (pursuant, that is). There is no excuse for such sloppy work.

    2. Anonymous6:16 PM

Happy, I think you mean to point out the misspelling of "pursuant" as "perusant"? If so, it may just be a typo by a court clerk who entered the docket entry. Mistakes happen.

  5. Anonymous11:58 AM

That means, with Newtices, he will get two for one. Newticles said "If we are called, Calista and I will be happy to serve" CALISTA!! Will she be the blow job supervisor in charge, since that is how she got Newticles attention. I do not think she can close her eyes, from too many eye lifts, so she would be great at security. If Crispy Creme Christie is the one, I think he should wear his baseball uniform for ALL state dinners.

    1. Anonymous12:54 PM

Isn't she the one with the weird eyes? She stole him from the previous wife....such good, Christian folks - Trump and Gingrich! NOT! They will never be elected!

    2. Anonymous1:02 PM

Mary Pat, how can u let Crispie appear in public in those white pants? Jesus H. Christ you need to step in.

    3. Anonymous1:21 PM

"CALISTA!!... I do not think she can close her eyes, from too many eye lifts, so she would be great at security."

    4. Anonymous1:24 PM

I feel for his kids - some of which are also heavy. The family needs intervention in that regard - although Christie has lost weight since that horrible photo was taken. I'm sure it embarrassed the hell out of all of them!

    5. Callista Gingrich, 3rd wife of Newt.

    6. Anonymous5:48 PM

      @anon 1:24pm
Actually Christie has gained weight since that pic, he ate his way through his lap band that the Tax payers of NJ provided for him.

    7. Old redneck,
the crazy is strong with that one!

  6. Anonymous12:01 PM

Christie: Trump is his own attack dog so he really doesn't need someone to take care of that for him. Plus Christie was the prosecutor in the Kushner trial which put away Jared Kushner's(Trump SIL)father in prison. However, Christie has the executive political experience and could be the presidential surrogate if Trump was elected and could also serve quite effectively as the Trump lapdog. I don't think it will be him.

Gingrich: Please let it be him! Gingrich is just what Trump needs. More drama to the ticket. Free media exposure! Gingrich will most certainly grab headlines and frankly has nothing to lose by being the VP nom. If Trump loses in November, Gingrich will have a lifetime of book deals and pundit positions available to him. Like Christie, Gingrich could certainly manage as the presidential surrogate since Trump has already said the VP will do all the work he doesn't care to do. The risk to Trump is that Gingrich is also very capable of sucking all the oxygen from Trump and stealing the thunder. Plus, Gingrich is universally despised.

Pence: He is a safe choice, might possibly be able to swing Indiana votes to Trump which could help him and would likely be a classic VP. In the background and capably handling chores as assigned. He has conservative cred and is relatively unknown to the rest of the country. That could be a problem as we all know the RNC doesn't have a good track record for vetting. Might be some surprises but I think it's one that Trump will risk.

I think Pence will be the pick.

    1. Anonymous12:53 PM

I just read where the majority of folks in the state Pence is from don't like him. Guess he's up for reelection there and his negatives and favorability ratings are not good!

    2. Anonymous1:25 PM

The positive for Pence is that since he likely would not be reelected as Governor his short stint as VP nom would give him more national exposure for future book deals and cable news gigs. He really doesnt have much to lose if Trump loses.

    3. Anonymous3:26 PM

I thought Ivanka was his choice? Where is Maleria, she has not been seen lately. Having a "tune up" at the plastic surgeon ready for the Inauguration.

    4. Anonymous5:21 PM

    6. Anonymous2:52 PM

Pence is such an incompetent moron even the GOP in Indiana wants to be rid of him. They practically begged Trump to take him off their hands. I guess they got their wish. Pence might not have been turning the state blue but he was making it easier for a Democratic challenger to possibly win the Governorship.

  7. Anonymous12:01 PM

No, Bernie Sanders supporters won't flock to Donald Trump

...It was ludicrous from the get-go to think Sanders' followers — pro-gay rights, pro-choice, pro-immigration, pro-environmentalist, pro-nationalized health care supporters, pro-Black Lives Matter — would rush to the candidate who has insulted women, minorities and the disabled, wants to build a wall and deport millions (while keeping all Muslims out) and has suggested women should be punished for abortions. Indeed, as The Washington Post's Greg Sargent details, the pro-Clinton super PAC has a series of ads highlighting many of those stark differences (e.g., on minimum wage, education, immigration).

"Bernie voters will choose Trump" is another morsel of self-delusion the Trumpkins have been munching on as they head toward electoral defeat. Other lies they tell themselves —

    1. Anonymous12:39 AM

They won't flock to Hillary either.

      Some will.

But some are simply pissed at the way they've been treated. And that it still hasn't stopped.

      I don't blame them.

I guess the Hillary panty sniffers have stock in vinegar and never heard of honey.

  8. Aw jesus, Newt, give it a rest! No one ANYWHERE wants you. You are a fool and a tool. And I live in Georgia. Newt: a slimy amphibian.

    1. Anonymous12:50 PM

Plus, just look at him! He's very obese with his stomach meeting everyone before the rest of his body does!

Trump isn't much healthier...he's obese too! Both could have major heart attacks and bite the dust! Could either of them handle the pressure IF they were elected (which I seriously doubt!)? Nope, don't think so!

    2. Anonymous2:55 PM

Poll: Most young people dislike GOP's Trump, say he's racist

Donald Trump is wildly unpopular among young adults, in particular young people of color, and nearly two-thirds of Americans between the ages of 18 and 30 believe the presumptive Republican nominee is racist.

That's the finding of a new GenForward poll that also found just 19 percent of young people have a favorable opinion of Trump compared to the three-quarters of young adults who hold a dim view of the New York billionaire.

The Republican Party is epically fucked.

The legislator is known as "Pants Candy" but his fellow republicans don't have the stones to throw his ass out.

"Rep. Jeremy Durham engaged in inappropriate conduct with women that constitutes disorderly behavior and warrants expulsion, according to a newly released report from the state attorney general, but a special legislative committee is leaving up to the voters of the 65th District to decide whether or not the embattled lawmaker will continue serving in the legislature.

That conduct includes bringing a 20-year-old intern to his legislative office with a cooler full of beer, kissing her and eventually having sex on a couch, according to the report."

    Also too!

"The report also includes another woman - identified as Jane Doe 9 - who said during the 2013 or 2014 session that Durham had a dish of candy on his desk. When she asked for one, Durham instead pulled a dirty, unwrapped mint from his pocket and said, "You don't want those I've got this."

  14. Anonymous12:16 PM

OMG, he would be stupider that I already think he is to choose Gingrich.

    Gingrich's Ethics

What we would learn only later was that while driving the country toward impeachment Gingrich was himself carrying on an affair with a twenty-something congressional aide named Callista Bisek. Gingrich would later divorce his wife Marianne and marry Bisek - they remain married - just as he had years before married Marianne after carrying on an affair with her while married to his first wife.

    1. Anonymous12:46 PM

Isn't Gingrich the one that ran off on one of his wives that was sick - MS or something?

He and Trump are much alike and would lose the race by a huge margin to Hillary Clinton.

Trump $10 Million Lawsuit Against Former Aide Proves Clinton Right About Abuse Of Power

...Donald Trump is supposed to be concentrating on running for president, but he is devoting his energy to settling a score with a former employee who he feels did him wrong. Trump is bullying his former aide, and if this is the way that he handles his staff, it paints a frightening picture of how he would behave as president.

Clinton was correct. Donald Trump is a threat to democracy, and if he loses America may someday look back on the bullet that was collectively dodged by not electing Trump.

  17. Anonymous12:22 PM

Because Trump is Trump, I can see him picking Pence for the reason that "Trump/Pence" bumper stickers and other paraphernalia will look and sound sound better than other names. I just don't see him wanting the name Gingrich on that merchandise! Christie will be okay. And he really likes Christie. Chris Matthews said no way to Gingrich and Christie today, and he predicted the pick would be Pence, but I can see Trump going with Christie after all. it's amazing that there is no one who is well known and who has pizazz who also doesn't have a whole lot of baggage. it must be killing trump that there are serious negatives about Christie but I won't be surprised if he picks him anyway. If Trump can make himself pick a veep who will appeal to conservatives and the Midwest, he'll go with Pence. It's said that this is who his kids want him to pick but his gut wants Christie.

  18. Anonymous12:22 PM

Donald Trump running mate roundtable: Salon writers on whom Trump will — and should — choose as his VP

Pence? Gingrich? Or maybe little Randy?

...Donald Trump should pick: Rand Paul, who isn’t on the list. No, I’m serious: Paul ran a dreadful presidential campaign and is kind of dumb, but his libertarian jazz-dance routine, where he doesn’t care about gays or weed and is against overseas wars and NSA spying, could create real positioning problems for Hillary Clinton, and open the way for Trump to outflank her to the left on certain issues.

  22. Anonymous12:44 PM

I predict Newt Gingrich. He was a disaster for the GOP during the days of his political relevance, he's roundly disliked by Americans, he's been fined for ethical violations, and he's a serial adulterer who has had a string of wives.

  23. Anonymous12:47 PM

Trump will pick Newt Gingrich. Trump can’t help acting the bully. In his mind, there will be no better way to get under Hillary Clinton’s skin than to run with one of her husband’s major tormentors from the 90s.

    1. Anonymous1:20 PM

The fact Trump would, or could, pick Gingrich for the sole purpose of going after the Clintons will not win them the race!

Trump already is known to be a bully and then he'd have Gingrich on the ticket who has a horrid reputation and was kicked out of Congress!
