Newt Gingrich is suspended from Fox News. Does that mean he will be Donald Trump's running mate?

Courtesy of HuffPo:

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich is no longer a contributor to Fox News, the network announced Tuesday.

“Fox News Channel has mutually agreed to suspend its contributor agreement with Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich effective immediately,” said a statement from Jay Wallace, the network’s executive vice president of news. “Due to the intense media speculation about Gingrich’s potential selection as Donald Trump’s vice presidential candidate, we felt it best to halt his contributor role on the network to avoid all conflicts of interest that may arise.”

Rachel Maddow pointed out on her show last night that when a Republican loses his job on Fox News that it typically indicates that they are about to launch a campaign for political office.

So does this prove that Gingrich is the guy for Trump?

I have no idea.

Nothing about Donald Trump makes any kind of sense, therefore I make no predictions.

However what we do know is that the other two names that have been bandied about recently are Mike Pence..
Zzzz, okay does anybody else have trouble staying awake while looking a a picture of Mike Pence?

and Chris Christie.

So we can logically assume that Trump is going to appoint another white dude to join him on the ticket.

And since he recently said that he wants an attack dog for a VP, that would seem to put Chris Christie and his mangina in the front of the pack.

    Pence - snooze
Christie - Trump's disgust of over weight people may keep him from pick Christie - but he was born to be an attack dog - it would be great to get him out of NJ (we hate him here) but I would not wish him on the rest of the country - just hoping his career is damaged enough he won't be governor again ever any where - but I have a feeling he would rather be Attorney General (appointed by President Trump) - all that power, and ability to spread corruption and fear and all done in the back ground and in secret far away from the spot light of being VP
Gingrich - they are two peas in a pod, and he brings the evangelicals along (they love their sinners who cheat on their wife etc.) - if I were going to bet - I think it will Gingrich

You'd think he'd be embarrassed as hell about that photo being in circulation.

He has lost weight since then though - even though he has more to go. He still doesn't appear healthy - but, neither does Trump!

They are ALL something else to draw from! None of them will ever win the presidency and vice presidency. Tain't a gonna happen!

Christie: Trump is his own attack dog so he really doesn't need someone to take care of that for him. Plus Christie was the prosecutor in the Kushner trial which put away Jared Kushner's(Trump SIL)father in prison. However, Christie has the executive political experience and could be the presidential surrogate if Trump was elected and could also serve quite effectively as the Trump lapdog. I don't think it will be him.

Gingrich: Please let it be him! Gingrich is just what Trump needs. More drama to the ticket. Free media exposure! Gingrich will most certainly grab headlines and frankly has nothing to lose by being the VP nom. If Trump loses in November, Gingrich will have a lifetime of book deals and pundit positions available to him. Like Christie, Gingrich could certainly manage as the presidential surrogate since Trump has already said the VP will do all the work he doesn't care to do. The risk to Trump is that Gingrich is also very capable of sucking all the oxygen from Trump and stealing the thunder. Plus, Gingrich is universally despised.

Pence: He is a safe choice, might possibly be able to swing Indiana votes to Trump which could help him and would likely be a classic VP. In the background and capably handling chores as assigned. He has conservative cred and is relatively unknown to the rest of the country. That could be a problem as we all know the RNC doesn't have a good track record for vetting. Might be some surprises but I think it's one that Trump will risk.

I think Pence will be the pick.

The positive for Pence is that since he likely would not be reelected as Governor his short stint as VP nom would give him more national exposure for future book deals and cable news gigs. He really doesnt have much to lose if Trump loses.

No, Bernie Sanders supporters won't flock to Donald Trump

...It was ludicrous from the get-go to think Sanders' followers — pro-gay rights, pro-choice, pro-immigration, pro-environmentalist, pro-nationalized health care supporters, pro-Black Lives Matter — would rush to the candidate who has insulted women, minorities and the disabled, wants to build a wall and deport millions (while keeping all Muslims out) and has suggested women should be punished for abortions. Indeed, as The Washington Post's Greg Sargent details, the pro-Clinton super PAC has a series of ads highlighting many of those stark differences (e.g., on minimum wage, education, immigration).

"Bernie voters will choose Trump" is another morsel of self-delusion the Trumpkins have been munching on as they head toward electoral defeat. Other lies they tell themselves —

Poll: Most young people dislike GOP's Trump, say he's racist

Donald Trump is wildly unpopular among young adults, in particular young people of color, and nearly two-thirds of Americans between the ages of 18 and 30 believe the presumptive Republican nominee is racist.

That's the finding of a new GenForward poll that also found just 19 percent of young people have a favorable opinion of Trump compared to the three-quarters of young adults who hold a dim view of the New York billionaire.

That conduct includes bringing a 20-year-old intern to his legislative office with a cooler full of beer, kissing her and eventually having sex on a couch, according to the report."

    Also too!

"The report also includes another woman - identified as Jane Doe 9 - who said during the 2013 or 2014 session that Durham had a dish of candy on his desk. When she asked for one, Durham instead pulled a dirty, unwrapped mint from his pocket and said, "You don't want those I've got this."

Trump $10 Million Lawsuit Against Former Aide Proves Clinton Right About Abuse Of Power

...Donald Trump is supposed to be concentrating on running for president, but he is devoting his energy to settling a score with a former employee who he feels did him wrong. Trump is bullying his former aide, and if this is the way that he handles his staff, it paints a frightening picture of how he would behave as president.

Clinton was correct. Donald Trump is a threat to democracy, and if he loses America may someday look back on the bullet that was collectively dodged by not electing Trump.
