Will I serve my term? That's for me to know and you to find out. |
The traditional goal of a presidential nominee is to win the presidency and then serve as president.
Donald J. Trump is not a traditional candidate for president.
Presented in a recent interview with a scenario, floating around the political ether, in which the presumptive Republican nominee proves all the naysayers wrong, beats Hillary Clinton and wins the presidency, only to forgo the office as the ultimate walk-off winner, Mr. Trump flashed a mischievous smile.
“I’ll let you know how I feel about it after it happens,” he said, minutes before leaving his Trump Tower office to fly to a campaign rally in New Hampshire.
It is, of course, entirely possible that Mr. Trump is playing coy to earn more news coverage. But the notion of the intensely competitive Mr. Trump’s being more interested in winning the presidency than serving as president is not exactly a foreign concept to close observers of this presidential race.
Okay now I have thought for a long time that Donald Trump, much like Sarah Palin before him, is WAY more interested in winning the office rather than in doing the job.
And remember SHE quit a little more than halfway through her first term, who's to say that Trump will even make it that far?
Well this will certainly give some more ammunition to the anti-Trump forces organizing right now to deny him the nomination.
Just when you think this election season cannot get any crazier, Donald Trump comes flying out of left field to prove you wrong.
He is just another QUITTER.
ReplyDeleteSo many on the right think this is a plan between trump and the clintons, to give her the presidency. If he QUITS we will be an even more divided country.

That simply makes no sense, and it proves Repubs are not too bright.
Trump is working hard to destroy Hillary You don't try to destroy someone who you want to win.
Donald asked Sarah to write his quitting speech.
ReplyDeleteIt starts off saying .. "only dead flows go fishing, and I don't eat fish"
It won't surprise me at all if another Dallas-type shooting takes place in Cleveland during the convention. This stuff has just gotten way off the deep end.
ReplyDeleteI hope to God that there will be no more shootings like the murders of policemen in Dallas. Not ever again. It simply solves no problems.

Like a lot of fake businessmen, this clown doesn't own those properties he has his name slapped on, he "rents" it out to them and if they go under, bfd to hi he loses nothing.
ReplyDeleteHe will feel the same way about this country, slap his name on it, quit and he won't care.
He has a short attention span and unwilling to learn past threatening people, even his own party members. He does feel it is his right.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure if he would quit because that's giving up a lot of power to use over people. I suspect he will appoint a manager to run the U.S. while he and his family continue to run the business and pop in when he needs something from the "store." I would not like being one of his past competitors right now or even someone he felt slighted by. He does need a vp that as palin said, won't poison him and happy to steal from the trough too. Someone who knows like-minded individuals.
Christie, per news today, is not being considered. Am not sure why trump feels that he can publically humiliate someone like Christie, without fear of revenge. Christie only became a toady because he was probably told that he would be vp.
Being kind, thoughtful, and intelligent are not in Trump's nor Palin's wheelhouse. I am amazed how much alike they are.
ALL THREE> 1 WORD> MAFIA
DeletePerhaps the small-handed nub should rethink the racism and hatred he encourages in his appearances. I hope hope he's thinking long and hard about that today but I doubt it.
ReplyDeleteMillions of the brain dead will vote for this dangerous clown.
ReplyDeleteOT: I see Kimberlee Colbo requested a hearing on Bristol's Motion to Show Cause against Levi. The hearing is set for July 14. (I'm sure Gryphen knows this, which is why there hasn't been anything new since the Gino revelations). I truly hope the Constitution wins, and Levi isn't punished for revealing information to Gryphen at a time when the confidentiality agreement clause in their recent settlement agreement wasn't in place.
ReplyDeleteI'm lost, who is Colbo? And what's going on about Gino? Bristol's motion to show cause with Levi? WTF? She's one nasty vindictive bitch. She supposedly got married, she should just move on, own her mistakes, & try to have a happy family life. That's what normal people do.
DeleteFFS stop it.
DeleteColbo is Dakota's attorney in his custody battle with Bristol, who is now Bristol's attorney in her custody fight against Levi. This has been discussed here at length, as has Bristol's motion to show cause against Levi for spilling true facts to Gryph before he settled with Bristol, which included a confidentiality clause.
DeleteThanks for the info. I miss a lot here due to my chemo. If I'm up to it, I'll search around & find what all was discussed ... unless you or someone else can send me in the right direction.
DeleteIf Bristol was mature, and behaved as the Christian she claims to be, she'd quit fighting against Levi, and go live her life fully & peacefully. Acting like she is hurts her son that will have long lasting effects. In fact, it will also affect her daughter. Shame on Bristol, & all the Palins, in general.
Thanks, again!
Giggles at 2:27 pm. Bristol and her new husband have the maturity of a pair of rocks. I agree that Bristol should start being a grown up and allow Levi to live his life without the threat of a court appearance every month. It is not good for Tripp and will end up damaging him in the end.

Under any case this guy is just bad news. His mental condition, his financial problems, his personal legal problems, his tone, appearance and voice sucks big time. His agenda sucks, his message sucks, his threats suck. His cult sucks, his sheep suck. Why is he even on the stage? No vote for humpty dumpty. DENIED APPLICATION. AND FIRED.
ReplyDeleteA person must really hate this country to vote for this clown.
ReplyDeleteI wish he'd just quit now and get it over with.
ReplyDeleteHe can't quit; he does not have liquid assets and nbc won't give him back his tv show. He wants to start a media company. Who is going to invest in this now knowing what a contemptuous deadbeat he is?

If anyone wants an example of how Hillary Clinton will act and perform as President, these last few weeks since she won the primaries are an amazing example.
She has been facing a Presumptive Republican nominee, psuedo-scandals, and a rival candidate that lost the primaries, but has not yet conceded.
She has been wise enough to get the best out of each one of these challenges, mainly be letting each challenge be itself - or in other words letting them win.
Let’s start with Trump. Donald Trump cannot speak from a script, he feels he is only winning when he is allowed to be himself - that crazy, greedy Donald. So with Trump, Hillary Clinton is not arguing with Donald, but accepting him as he is. She is winning by using Trump's own actions and words damage the Republican’s candidate. She quotes his rambling words and points out his bankruptcies, proving over and over again that he is unfit to be president.
As for the two psuedo-scandals, she just lets them run their course, knowing that because she did her job as Secretary of State honestly and well, there was nothing to the Benghazi or e-mail investigations. The win from these unnecessary investigations have been the results. Notice how calm and collected Hillary has been throughout these investigations? On the other hand, the Republicans have been seen as wasters of public funds and as vindictive and petty people.
As far as Bernie Sanders goes, she has not interfered with Sanders actions over the last few weeks, her simple statement has been that Bernie Sanders has the right to finish his campaign as he wishes.

A very good description of Hillary Clinton's demeanor over the past several weeks. She has a lot more patience then I would in similar circumstances. Go Hillary!!!
DeleteBeaglemom
Now it becomes very important who this loser picks as his VP.
ReplyDeleteI was going to post the same thing. Hope it's not Newt. Trump for sure would need a food tester. Newt is one devious, lying, deceitful, power hungry has-been.
DeleteChristie is out, but many thought he'd been promised the Attorney General spot. He's another devious, lying, deceitful asshole.
The best, and only thing we need this election cycle is for Hillary to win, & we overtake the House & Senate.
It's likely Trump would be killed or impeached within his first year of office.
DeleteWatching Palin poop on herself since 2008... All the opportunities and networking she could have availed herself to had she not had such a need for positive reinforcement re her looks. Doesn't her religion have a deadly sin attached to this behavior?
DeleteTrump's hair looks different there. Ivanka not sharing her hair color bottle with him anymore?
Trump's sanity reflects the possibility that he did not lose his personnel Viet Nam.
Newt Ging-Rich.
DeleteIvanka is being floated, since she is so "beautiful". Great qualifications, eh? Her face is shaped like an egg, with her father's anus mouth.
DeleteHe's gonna pick Kasich.
DeleteYeah, I agree with you about Kasich.
DeleteIvanka; what a joke! Never.
DeleteTrump and ivanka reference Wharton school of business, implying MBAs instead of what they actually have -- BAs. Ask people who have lost money to Ivanka's sales pitches, which includes diet pills.
DeleteIvanka also hustles a line of shoes at Nordstrom. They tried to sell me a pair there while I was being dressed as mother-of-the-groom, and I said, no way, I don't even want to LOOK at them!
DeleteFor the record, $arah, there's both a civil and a religious marriage license for his wedding. Also, too, lots of photos and witnesses that can prove that the wedding actually took place! And my son and DIL not only have diplomas (plural!), but no kids yet... It's so un-Palin, don't you think?!?
My niece went to University of Penn Medical School around the time Ivanka was there. They shared some core classes, for the most part, she stayed to herself, but one day she came in late spitting fire and pissing and moaning.
DeleteShe used the Helipad on Hahaneman University Hospital to get to and from NYC, and she had to waste all this time and fuel circling around because three other heelycopters with peon patients needed access to land. That was the day their "friendship" ended. Entitled bitch like her dad, thinks the world owes her something.
He can pick Kasich if he wants but Kasich has already said NO. (As have many others.)
DeleteIn the end Trump isn't going to pick any VP beyond who will finally agree, after many have declined. He probably won't get anyone in his top 10 choices.
At this point, The Donald is playing to lose. His entire campaign has been a publicity stunt that went farther than he expected.
ReplyDeleteNo shit he wants out. Expect more of these verbal slip ups before November. He never planned to be President. If his narcissism hasn't completely taken over, he's a little scared of just how far his little game has taken him. He wants to lose. He'll be relieved when he loses.
Then he will present an overinflated expense bill to the RNC who should tell him that the check is in the mail...
DeleteHillary Clinton And Democrats Open Massive Lead Over Trump And GOP In New Poll
ReplyDeletehttp://www.politicususa.com/2016/07/08/hillary-clinton-democrats-open-massive-lead-trump-gop-poll.html
American voters are going to come out in a huge force in November to assure that the Republicans do not gain the White House in January, 2017!
DeleteAll they do is spread hate, fear, racism, lies and murder! They are a horrible breed of cat!
Vote Hillary Clinton! She has my vote. It's amazing to watch the all out force by the Republicans trying to do her in! Fuck you, Republicans, it tain't gonna work!
12:24 - Yes! HRC! Let's have a blue wave down-ballot, too!
DeleteIt was just a month ago that Republicans were telling voters that the economy is terrible, but after it was announced that the economy created 287,000 new jobs, the GOP reaction has been silence.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.politicususa.com/2016/07/08/republicans-stunned-silence-obama-economy-posts-massive-jobs-gains.html
The Republicans keep yakking they are going to create all kinds of jobs.
DeleteSeems like the only jobs they are creating are for themselves on "let's investigate Hillary one more time" committees.
Make that flying out of RIGHT field. ;)
ReplyDeleteTrump Official Goes There: Blames Clinton For Cop Murders
ReplyDeleteI want to say that I am not shocked by anything coming out of the Trump campaign, but the Hill is reporting something that rendered me speechless.
Apparently, the chairman of Donald Trump’s Republican presidential campaign in Virginia had the audacity to blame Hillary Clinton “for essentially encouraging the murder” of police officers in Dallas. Yes, you read that right. Clinton encouraged the murder of police officers.
Corey Stewart, the person in question, posted the following on his Facebook page:
“Liberal politicians who label police as racists--specifically Hillary Clinton and Virginia Lt. Governor Ralph Northam--are to blame for essentially encouraging the murder of these police officers tonight.”
The post has since been deleted, but not before the damage was done. Publicly blaming a candidate for the murder of 5 law enforcement officers is not only disgusting but it is libelous. Accusing someone on encouraging murder is a new low, even for a Trump campaign member.
Is this where we drifted to in American politics? Antisemitic memes, accusing the FBI director and Attorney General of conspiring with a candidate to avoid trumped up charges related to email and now accusations of encouraging murder of law enforcement? Does the Trump campaign have no shame?
http://crooksandliars.com/2016/07/trump-blames-hillary
No, neither Donald Trump nor the GOP has any shame. They are amoral, incapable of moral thought or deed.

Trump reminds me of Hitler. He treats the house and Senate members as if their loyalty is to him, not their constituents. Once he gets elected there will be no more dog and pony shows. We will all be under trumps thumb. Don't think he will give up this power.
ReplyDeleteThe first thing that would go w/a dictatorship by The Donald is our free press! He'd control it! No more America!
DeleteAnd, then civil war would break out and Trump would be assassinated.
Hmmm, the last part of that last statement? Oh well.
DeleteWell, to be honest, no GOP senator or representative cares at all about constituents. They care only about what the GOP under the Koch brothers and Grover Norquist orders. Trump isn't their leader yet.
DeleteBeaglemom
And don't forget about the NRA, Beaglemom.

Almost as charming as Sarah Palinand her fuc family.
Drumpf is all about the game. It's about winning. Once he's won, it's over. He has no interest in doing the work.
ReplyDeleteIn fact, I wouldn't be surprised if he bowed out after winning the Republican nomination. That way he would still be a "winner" and not have to risk being a "loser" if Hillary wins.
