Wait, so you mean if you're a Republican Chairwoman and you put a racist meme on your Facebook account directed at the President you could lose your job? Yep.

That's right this Linda Storm Sorenson thought that meme was fucking hysterical, and posted it on her Facebook page for all of her racist buddies to enjoy.

And I am sure they did.

Sadly for her the other Colorado Republicans did not get the joke.

Courtesy of The Daily Sentinel:

The chairwoman of the Delta County Republican Party has resigned.

Linda Sorenson, who had been embattled recently over sharing a racist meme on her Facebook page, resigned her post after a fourth accountability meeting held Thursday by the county’s Republican Central Committee.

That meeting was looking into allegations that Sorenson and others made that her Facebook page was “hacked” and whether she violated party rules by endorsing a primary candidate.

It is unknown if the committee will continue to investigate the matter — it was set to meet again for a final meeting next week — since Sorenson’s resignation makes the matter moot.

Hacked. I swear that is the go to excuse for EVERYBODY who gets caught doing something stupid on the internet.

Look I know that it happens sometimes, but the most likely explanation is that this Sorenson woman is a fucking racist.

And clearly a racist who likes other racists, such as Rick Perry.

Look for Trump to invite Sorenson to speak at the GOP convention. He has a lot of open speaking slots to fill.

She probably was going to be fired for endorsing a primary candidate.

That picture and comment directed towards President Obama is uncalled for. Now the world knows what is in her heart.

From Bigmedia.org on May 25, which seems to be the original source of the story:

"Sorenson told me in a very brief phone interview today that it was a joke.

“I really don’t care if people are offended by it,” she told me of the post, which was sent to me by a source. “Un-friend me. Stop looking at me on Facebook.”"

So much for "my account was hacked".

Note the contradiction to 5:39's post. So which was it Sorenson- you put it up and don't care? Or oops you don't want the consequences so claim hacking?

She's come up short in every way: IQ, stature, ethics, character.

In the original story I read about this they posted SEVERAL other of her anti-Obama memes that she felt 'comfortable' posting on her FB page. She also tried to lie and say she only FB 'liked' something that was sent to her but it was shown that she had been the one sending the original Bonzo 'joke'.

If these people feel so proud and entitled about their racism they should 'man up' and claim it instead of scurrying away like the devious little rats they show themselves to be.

It took FOUR meetings to decide she's a racist? Oh wait... they're rethugs.

Remember when George W. was president, under the patriot act we weren't even allowed to SAY anything against him or his illegal war.

  10. Why must this imagery persist? Why can't one dislike like the president without resorting to such characterizations? It is not about political correctness; it is about basic human decency. No one chooses one's race, gender, or appearance. When I was in school, girls who weren't liked were referred to as pigs or maggots. It would be easy enough to post shots of pigs and maggots and attach a name and then pass it off as funny not derisive. I assume this woman, her family, and friends consider her a good and decent person. But when you continue to resort to those characterizations and post them for all to see, you are not decent.

I cringe when I see people praising Trump for his refusal to be 'politically correct'.

When did being racist, misogynist, crude, ignorant and insulting become something to admire? When did it become standard practice to demean and humiliate people who have different opinions? There are ways to be honest and candid without being rude.

Somehow, treating other people like crap has become commendable. The Republican party, and its current presidential candidate, have made it an art form in the last 8 years. I can only hope that winning the White House in a landslide election and taking back the Senate may convince the political powers that this kind of abusive behavior will no longer be tolerated by the majority.

We have Power of Attorney over my lower-Alabama-raised mother in law, and while she is alive and in a nursing home, we're donating $50,000 of HER money to a particular city park in Mobile if they'll agree to post a tiny brass plaque somewhere in the park that reads:
"A reparation from the raciest lady in Alabama, [her name]. She's sorry."

Is that any different than Sarah Palin's "So Sambo beat the bitch" comment in 2008? It is ironic that ever since Palin's comment, she has been lusting after President Obama. Sarah Palin jealously derides President Obama in every screech that she begs to give. It is no wonder that Todd goes to other women for comfort.

Yes 5:36 AM. The Las Vegas Review Journal,
Sunday, July 3, 2016, long article by
    Jay Reeves, Associated Press.
"KKK dreams of rising again 160 years after birth." "Members say political climate favorable." "Klan leaders say
Donald Trump's ascendancy in the GOP is a
sign things are going their way." "Joining
the Klan is easy as filling out an online form provided you're white and Christian."
"Members can visit an online store to
buy one of the Klan's trademark white, cotton robes for $145.00, though many
splurge on the $165.00 satin version."
The two racists and so called Christians,
Palin and Trump, of course chose the satin
robes. Some are even decked out with fancy
trim. Palin, remember to leave all of your
flag jewelry home when you and your Klan
buddies are setting fire to crosses in the dead of night. You could be outed!

Can someone remind me how many racist memes were posted against Condoleeza Rice or Colin Powell by Democrats?

    Just sayin'.

I'm a white mother of three, and when I see things like this it hits me viscerally. Hate and Racism aren't funny and I don't tolerate it at work, on social media, nor from elected officials. The "problem" is we have an African American in the white house, and it chaps their butts that they let the hate bombs loose. A few years back, I saw a man, obviously nuts, with tattoos, a mouth full of metal (grill?) with lynched black men hanging from trees, tied to car bumpers, shot, stabbed etc with large letters saying "Embrace your Race- send them all back to Africa",
It's not enough to use the words, but to advertise this level of hate permanently on your body, I'm sorry, it's not free speech. And for the record I have some tattoos that are pieces of art and discreet.
Did she hand over her hard drive to the FBI to check if it was "hacked" before she resigned? If not, I don't buy it.
