As predicted the release of information hacked from Congressional Democrats results in mayhem, confusion, and phishing attempts.

Courtesy of Politico:

House Democratic leaders on Saturday urged members to upgrade their security as staffers were flooded with vulgar, malicious emails and texts following a massive online dump of their contact information late Friday -- the latest fallout of a series of election-season cyberattacks primarily targeting the Democratic Party.

Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, calling the incident a "sad course of events," wrote in a note to colleagues that she was changing her phone number and advised colleagues to do the same. An email from the Democratic Caucus told members and staffers whom to contact to do so.

“I was in the air flying from Florida to California when the news broke,” Pelosi wrote. “Upon landing, I have received scores of mostly obscene and sick calls, voice mails and text messages.”

Other aides told POLITICO that overnight they received dozens, even hundreds of spear phishing-style emails and texts, which are fake messages that lure recipients into clicking on malware-laded links, possibly infecting the entire device.

Yep undermining the Democrats ability to do their jobs and attempts to phish for more information, sounds like somebody is trying to impact an election to me.

Of course now we are hearing that the Russians targeted the Republicans as well.

Courtesy of The Hill:

A website tied to the hacking scandal of the Democratic Party has now posted a small batch of leaked emails from Republican campaigns and state GOP staffers.

The emails on the site, known as DCLeaks, appear to be from state party officials and former Republican presidential candidates, including Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.). The messages range from June to October of 2015.

Boy that sure is convenient don't you think?

I mean right when folks are accusing Donald Trump and the Republicans of collusion with the Russians this hack is revealed.

Yep that right there is what you call "good timing."

I think it is also any one in their data base, since the hack I've have viruses sent and multiple phishing attempts I had to send to my ISP. NOw I will send to the FBI/IC3 and tell them its because of the Trump hack! I haven't given anything this time around either but I'm in their data base and still get news etc.
Make sure you have a AN that scans your mail!
    Thanks Trump you fucker!

  3. Not all Republicans are supportive of Put in or Trump. It will be interesting to see which Republicans were targeted. For example Lindsey Graham has been especially dismissive of Trump.

With the DNC hacking operation (which seems likely to be Russian government backed but might not be), the on-going crisis in Ukraine, Russia's role in the Middle East, various possible ways of trying to make mischief in the US election etc etc etc, we shouldn't lose sight of an essential point: Russia is a weak and vulnerable state with geopolitical pretensions wildly out of sync with its national wealth and power.

Here are some statistics that may surprise you.

To my GOPer friends in Alaska, who are so sure of their party's purity. What do you supposed a dump of GOPer emails would show? Keep in mind Denny Hastert and his perversions; Sarah Palin (she got her's scrubbed); the vaguely bearded creep who stole from the Fairbanks North Star Borough. If you do not call out the thieves in this hacking, you are setting yourself up for at the very least, embarassment. Right? Dan (we haven't seen you man) Sullivan and Lisa (got no convictions) Murkowski.

OT? THIS SHIT!" “I’ve heard stories of police yelling out false things like this before they unjustifiably attack someone as a way to justify the attack, and I thought this was what was happening to me. I braced for bullets to hit me and all I could think of was my daughter having to watch it happen and being left alone on the side of the highway with an insane, violent cop.”"“If you are a person who has ever looked skeptically at the claims of Black Lives Matter, or others who talk about police violence, I urge you to consider what happened to me and put yourselves in the shoes of others. O/T
    IrishCentral:
Melania Trump should release her immigration files, not hold a presser

If it takes weeks instead of hours for a presidential campaign to respond to a simple question, something’s up.

It’s an old rule of Washington, the longer you wait the more they’re probably hiding.

Inexplicably, it has taken weeks for Donald Trump and his campaign to explain if his wife Melania violated U.S. immigration laws when she first came here.

If there’s no issue, if there’s nothing to conceal, what’s the hold up?

On Tuesday evening Trump announced his wife will hold a news conference "over the next couple of weeks.” A news conference? We don’t need another Trump news conference, Melania should just release her immigration files.

Letter to Putin. No matter who you hack in this country. No matter what blackmail, threats, etc. etc. you attempt, Americans don't buckle. I am pretty sure you're way of doing things won't fly over here. That's what happens when a country allows people to think for themselves, and that's what happens when people have basic human freedoms. You may scoff at these ideals, and say we are hypocrites, but in the face of things, it's the best system in the world, and it's who we are. Go ahead. Get your' hacks to hack our politicians. We know they aren't perfect. One of them is constantly sending pics of his dic. Our government's computer system is antiquated and needs to be revamped. We know all this. Most of our politicians bad mouth the other party, and their own. That's why they call it politics. It's a down and dirty thing politicians do to win. But your' kind of politician is a no win situation. You go in for the kill. That's where we draw the line. Where the Clinton's raked in millions in speaking fees in this country, you somehow made billions in yours'. We'd like to see your emails, and dirty laundry. KGB style I am sure. No, don't try to put yourself into our business. We are not Crimea. No matter how covert you are, we are on to you.

The release of a small amount of Republican information is just misdirection, hoping to cover up the focus of the hack. A token dump.

We know who is behind it and what the intent is.

I still say this is going to hurt Trump because of his ties to Russia and Putin.
