GOP pollster and wordsmith Frank Luntz talks to group of former Trump supporters who explain how he lost them.

Courtesy of Raw Story:

Pollster Frank Luntz is the GOP darling when it comes to his focus groups for conservatives, but not even Luntz can polish the steaming pile Trump has handed him.

“He was my first choice. But just along the way, he has — I guess you can say he’s lost me,” one focus grouper told Luntz in a video that aired on CBS’s “Face the Nation” Sunday. “I’m not saying there’s no chance of turning but he’s become outrageous. I mean, we all have thoughts, but I think he speaks without thinking.”

The collection of respondents come from Pennsylvania voters where recent polling numbers show a lead for Clinton in the swing state.

“When he initially began to run, he gave voice to a lot of the frustrations that I was feeling about how government is working or more to the point not working,” focus group member Michael said. “But since then, he’s been running as a 12-year-old and changes his positions every news cycle, so you don’t even know where he stands on the issues.”

I think that "running as a 12 year old" comment is spot on.

Despite what it might say in the Russia media THIS is the reality of what is happening with Donald Trump's popularity in this election cycle.

However I am less than impressed that many of these idiots suggest that if Donald Trump suppresses his personality and stays off Twitter that they might still consider voting for him.

It is almost like they WANT to be tricked into voting for the worst possible candidate.

Of course he behaves like a 12 year old. That's why Miss Kellyanne was hired to babysit him. I've never seen a more obvious sham of a campaign in my life.

His teleprompter speeches, that are obviously written by someone else, are so unTrump like and still his supporters applaud because they think he's tricking the left.

    Absolute stupidity.

Trump has succeeded in a hostile takeover the GOP establishment. Come Nov 8, the only people who will vote for Trump will those who wish to stick it to them while they are down. If Trump succeeds in destroying the GOP as we knew it, I predict this will all have been worth it.

Trump has been punking republicans all this time, and it has taken them more than a year to get a clue.

CBS just had Luntz on and aired this video - not a word about his conservative propaganda activities. I had to laugh out loud when panelists began debating "which is the real Trump." They all avoided the obvious conclusion that there is no 'real' Trump.

It is impossible for me to have any sympathy for any and all republicans. They either actively participated in the hate or they stood by and said nothing in order to gain political power which they squander. Enough is enough. America does not deserve what republican politicians dish out.

    Trump’s Hollow ‘Regrets’

I don’t believe, even for a nanosecond, that he regrets the personal impact of what he has said on anyone besides himself.

I believe that he only regrets that what he has said has not worked well for him in the general election portion of the campaign. That is the difference between regret as an act of public contrition and regret as an expression of personal disappointment in one’s own flagging fortunes.

Republicans hate America. Trump proves it. Think of all their choices this year. He is who they picked. Disgusting and treasonous!

    Quoting Jim>
"Florida we gonna landslide TRUMP....wear'n red at polls... We gonna be watch'n fer shenanigans...& haul ya away.."
So, if I understand this correctly, the idea here is that Trump Supporters will wear pseudo-uniforms and patrol the polling stations on voting day, checking for "shenanigans" which they will detect how exactly? No, really, how does this work? Either they're deciding the eligibility of each voter via appearance measured against their own pre-conceived notion of who is and who is not a legitimate citizen OR they physically take over the polling station, access the registration records, demand each person's identification individually and they themselves decide who can and cannot vote.
Either method is illegal, both by state and federal law. Seriously illegal. Like felony illegal.
But, wait, there's more. According to Obergruppenführer Harry here, if they detect any "shenanigans" they'll "haul ya away" in their little Trump Jail.
Which is likewise illegal. Like felony illegal.
This is what Trump voters see as the future of America. This, right here. Jackbooted thuggery wrapped in a flag. This is how it always begins, right here. The purity test. Threats. Intimidation. Busting heads. The cult of personality. The howling mob. Then one day you look up and realize you're surrounded by flags and guns and the sound of boots marching in the streets and you'd better toe the fucking line or else -- and somewhere in the background, quietly, out of sight, the trains are "hauling away" the undesirables.
This guy thinks he's a patriot.
    But then they always do.

    THIS WILL HAPPEN!

      It's called FASCISM.

The Republicans have displayed more and more danger signs as the years have passed. I think the Patriot Act was the turning point.
