Newsweek calls into question the veracity of Donald Trump's "doctor's note."

Courtesy of Newsweek:

It purports to be a medical letter, but it is one of the most ridiculous documents ever to emerge in any political campaign. First, the letterhead is in the same font as the letter, which appears to have been created using Microsoft Word. The signature from the doctor is several inches past the signature line—the result you might get if the document had been signed as a blank and filled in later. The letterhead includes a Gmail address—something doctors tell me is extremely unusual, since doctors do not want patients contacting them directly by email as a substitute for scheduling an appointment.

There is also a website listed, but if you follow the URL (haroldbornsteinmd.com), sometimes it takes you to cdn.freefarcy.com, a blank page that asks if you want to upload an update to a Flash program onto your computer (the domain name, freefarcy.com, is still for sale. No, I can’t explain that.) If you decline, it does so anyway and, based on the response of the security system on my computer, the “program” on the doctor’s supposed website is a virus. (Other times it takes you to a generic medical website. No, I can't explain that either.)

Unlike the Clinton letter, it does not contain a full medical history for Trump. The letter also has problems with sentence structure and major typographical errors, such as the opening line, “To Whom My Concern.” Most amusing, it says that his medical examination of Trump has “only positive results.” In medical terms, if the test is positive, it confirms the existence of disease. Is this doctor saying Trump has every medical ailment that could be found in examination? Does he not know the meaning of the word? Or, as I suspect, was the letter written by someone in the Trump campaign?

Oh come on.

Who's going to fake a letter from their doctor?

Okay well you have a point, but there is no precedent for this. Is there?

Oh yeah, I almost forgot.

So do we think that Donald Trump's doctor's note is a fake?

Or do we think that Trump tested positive for every medical ailment known to man?

Actually judging from the color of his skin, either one could be true.

Yes, well, so far, if that's the case, one would think people would be asking legitimate questions.

Instead all they have is moronic tv screen diagnoses pulled out of their asses, which Hillary has no obligation to respond to at all.

Dr. Drew is an absolute sell out. I don't even think he has any credentials any longer, he just spouts nonsense on "celebrity relationship shows". What a loser! He used to be really funny on "Love Line" with Adam Corolla on radio, but that must have been like 20 years ago. Now he tells stupid whore starlets like Courtney Stodden how to make relationships work with a dude who is 39 years her senior.

Donald Trump sure is getting desperate. Expect more crazy conspiracy theories coming your way from him as he makes stuff up about Hillary. Remember when he accused Ted Cruz' dad of being a part of the JFK shootings? Saw something on my fb feed that Christie owed Trump a lot of money due to gambling at his casinos. You think there's any truth to that?

That is what he means when he says, “I am your voice”"In fact, they were surprisingly well-off financially — better off than those who supported Trump’s Republican rivals. Maybe that is why Trump hasn’t really talked much about his economic plan. He knows it doesn’t matter much to his base. What Rothwell discovered is that those who view Trump favorably are racially isolated as well as isolated from immigrants."
"The media have had a difficult time reporting this, not only because, as I said, they don’t want to attack Trump’s supporters, or because the idea of PC is unpopular, or because to identify anti-PC as possibly the primary force behind Trump’s campaign would be having to admit some awful things about America itself."

No one would be taking a statin for no reason. Also, unless you have had heart issues there is no reason to take an aspirin a day by a Dr's order.

In a physical exam report, the language used to describe someone whose organ symptomatology is within normal limits would be: "Review of systems is unremarkable."

  8. Anonymous2:45 PM

I work in the medical field and two things I can say about this letter:
    1) a doctor would NEVER comment on the health of "every individual ever elected to the presidency" without first having physically examined them. Even then, he couldn't comment without written permission from each one of the them.
    2) you DO NOT summarize a complete medical examination by stating " showed only positive results.
A real physician would not write a letter like this. Certainly not a physician that has been in the business for 30+ years and comes from a family of physicians.

      Won't happen.

Any change to the presidential ticket at this point is a sure losing proposition. Paul Ryan knows it and would never consent to have his name on it if he has any future aspirations to the White House, which he does.

If Trump dropped out they'd have to find a sacrificial lamb who has no future as a possible candidate and so has nothing to lose.

They would probably put Pence at the top since he's already on there as VP and has been campaigning. Then they'd fill the VP slot with a throwaway, like Bobby Jindal who has no hope of ever being a presidential nominee. They could even use some of the primary drop outs like Mike Huckabee, who hasn't a ghost of a chance of ever being a future nominee. At least they'd be a footnote in the history books of having run and lost. I think the most entertaining would be a Pence/Carson ticket.

But whatever they do they'll never win. Not by changing candidates. Not by keeping the one they have.

I just wish the hiatus would end and Colbert, Maher, Oliver and the rest would come back and give us their own entertaining recaps of this never ending vaudeville show.

Regarding Hillary's health statement. There is no way I would ever recommnend ANY of the new anticoagulants. She is on the old-fashioned Coumadin, the ONLY way to go! You are monitored and it is the safest of the anti-coagulants. (Partner been on it 15 years and I am a career nurse so know what I am talking about here first hand) I have friends and acquaintances who have been placed on the newer anti-coagulants (Dr. Drew's recommnedations) and each of them has had serious repercussions and there is NO testing for those people on the new drugs - just wait until you get in trouble and go to the emergency room.

Dr. Drew is also fussing about her tried and true old guard thyroid medication - but Hillary's is the best known NATURAL one, not a synthetic.

So Hillary's doctor has her on the best regimen there is for those drugs, IMHO as there are no tests for the new anticoagulants - watch the TV ads and you will see there is no way to monitor and no tests for the new drugs.

Most insurance companies, Medicare and Medicaid don't cover Armour Thyroid for treatment of hypothyroidism because it's no longer the "standard of care" treatment. Clinton is fortunate she has the money to pay for prescriptions her Medicare Part D won't cover. And yes, Clinton is insured under Medicare. All citizens over 65 are on Medicare. Here's the 2016 Medicare excluded drug list. Page 5 all dosages of Armour Thyroid, Excluded as Unapproved Drug:

It is possible to opt-out of Medicare and many wealthier folks do just that simply to remain on existing group polices from their businesses or to buy a preferred private insurance plan. Even with Medicare it is also usual for recipients to buy 'supplemental' insurance to cover the 20% non-covered portion of approved medical services and for any other non-approved medical services.

Not EVERY citizen over 65 is ON, btw. Must have some minimum income from wages that were subject to Medicare payroll deduction and some residency requirements.

Odds are the Clintons have opted out of Medicare coverage and buy private insurance so they can continue with their choice of doctors and hospitals.

      Delete
    6. Anonymous10:13 PM

You're right, some people over 65 don't qualify for Medicare. You're wrong that you can completely "opt out" if you qualify for Medicare, are over 65 and are no longer working. You can buy enough coverage to fill all the gaps, but you can't opt out of Part A. Clinton is not currently employed, she qualifies, so she is most likely at least on Part A. The Part B supplemental does not cover prescription drugs. Part D covers prescription drugs. If you want to take a drug that's excluded from Part D, you have to pay for it yourself.

It was obvious that his meeting at his big table was made to coincide and leave the impression that he is so serious, but I also think he wanted to stick it to the govt. and say he's bigger than they think and he was not going to come across as fortunate to be able to receive info from them. No way. He's the leader. He has his own intel people. He's the big cheese. He couldn't live with having to look like a low-tier person being allowed into the high-tier people's meeting.

Who addresses a letter "To Whom My Concern"? This letter should be addressed to Donald J. Trump. Maybe this letter was written by the same bimbo (Meredith McIver) who helped Melania plagiarize her speech!

Where are the numbers? What is the date of the orange blob's last physical exam? What is his weight and height? If he lost 15 pounds, how much does the lard ass weigh now? What is his Body Mass Index (BMI)? Is he considered underweight, healthy, overweight, or obese? Where are the numbers for his fasting glucose and cholesterol (including LDL and HDL)? Has he had an electrocardiogram or echocardiogram? When was his last colonoscopy, and what were the results? Has he had his eyes examined and tested for cataracts, macular degeneration, and glaucoma? Has he been to a dermatologist for a checkup? Has he seen a podiatrist?

If Trump is in good health, why not just tell it all? It makes no sense to have a doctor write a letter without details. But, to end the letter with a comment that Trump "will be the healthiest individual ever elected to the presidency" is strange, if not ludicrous! What a load of crap!

The picture of Palin reminded me of why we are in this political mess. The religious right got their hands into all that trying to micromanage their God, and then, they just down and out took over for him when the believers money came rolling in, and then peoples like Palin were told of the end of time, then they somehow tried to square things with God so's not to offend him and even tho alot of their beliefs now are not in the book, they made some up along the way to appease their hatred of the downtrodden. Then somehow they got into politics because if God wasn't going to intervene they would. Then Palin went to church at some point and time, and she may have gotten turned on by all the hype. But somewhere the message got warped, and money factored in again, and she got lost, but not before she revved up all the crazies that were like zombies just waiting for fresh blood. Now, we are one step of the zombies, and Donald is his namo.
