After Wednesday's speech Latino former Trump supporter believes he is trying to lose and instead intends to start a media empire.

Courtesy of Raw Story:

“After I heard that, there was no way I could continue to be part of a prop apparatus for Mr. Trump,” Monty told MSNBC on Thursday. “So, I resigned. And it’s a sad day because I am no fan of Hillary Clinton.”

As for why Trump had doubled down on inhumane immigration policies, Monty said that it was possible that Trump “listens to whoever talks to him last.”

“The other possibility is that maybe he does not want to win,” he added. “Maybe this is a media play. And I feel serious about that.”

“You can usually count on someone’s self-preservation instincts,” Monty explained. “Not only is this the right thing to do, this is the only way that he can win the White House. And that he didn’t follow it suggests to me that maybe winning is not part of the game plan. Maybe this is part of a media play where he wants to create a media empire that will focus on the millions nativists that believe that the country needs to control immigration.”

“And if that’s his play, it will be good and he’ll have millions of followers. But he won’t win the presidency.”

Okay I've heard this media thing several times now.

What do you think? Is starting Trump News really the end game here?

Would that they had done this in year one, before he nearly destroyed this country with his propaganda network, not to mention mad 'starts' of O'Reilly, Hannity and the entire sick crew, including the women he abused. Face it, attorney Megyn and Miss America Carlson would not have been pseudo-journalists anywhere else. Shame on all of them.

Trump's Blood Libel & Press Failure

...Watch Trump's speeches, with the yelling, the reddened face, the demand for vengeance and you see there's little to distinguish them from what we see at Aryan Nations or other white hate rallies that we all immediately recognize as reprehensible, wrong and frankly terrifying. This isn't 'rough' language or 'hard edged' rhetoric. It's hate speech. Precisely what policy solution Trump is calling for is almost beside the point. Indeed, it wouldn't be hate speech any less if Trump specified no policy solution at all.

This isn't normal. It was normal in the Jim Crow South, as it was in Eastern Europe for centuries. It's not normal in America in the 21st century. And yet it's become normalized. It's a mammoth failure of our political press. But it's not just theirs, ours. It's a collective failure that we're all responsible for. By any reasonable standard, Donald Trump's speech on Wednesday night should have ended the campaign, as should numerous other rallies where Trump has done more or less the same thing for months. There's a reason why the worst of the worst, the organized and avowed racists, were thrilled and almost giddy watching the spectacle. But it has become normalized. We do not even see it for what it is. It's like we've all been cast under a spell. That normalization will be with us long after this particular demagogue, Donald Trump, has left the stage. Call this what it is: it is hate speech, in its deepest and most dangerous form.

I am not responsible either, I have been saying from the beginning little Donnie is a sociopath and his tactics are just like Hitler's.

Of course he will start a network, Roger is already on board.

Trump will do anything for money, in fact he will have his own state owned network if he wins, with Trump propaganda 24/7.

Traitor Trump has probable already sold all the info from his security briefing to the highest bidder and why they allowed Bannon to participate is beyond me.

Absolutely (and I think most of us have known it from the beginning that this was his plan all along) - trump wants a media empire that he can be king of (to get all the ego stroking and attention he craves) - I don't think he thought he'd get this far and actually be the nominee - but all the better for more free air time and more followers - just look at his so called "campaign" staff - they are all hard right conservative media folks (not experience with a political campaign) - and his ego is bursting at the seams that he made it this far - if by some "russian hack" or end of the world mishap and he was elected - he'd turn the white house into a media circus and trump money making machine for himself

EXCLUSIVE: Donald Trump stayed silent when his dad said 'I don't rent to n-----s' in rejecting black tenant's bid for Queens apartment in 1963, ex-employee claims

... “I asked him, ‘What do you want me to do with this application?’ He said, ‘You know I don’t rent to n-----s. Put it in your desk drawer.’ Donald was alongside of him. He was maybe 16, 17 years old at the time. He was learning the business of his father. He was right at his side."

Donald, Leibowitz said, had “no reaction” to his father’s use of the slur.

HE went from his toney white prep school to his expensive white military high school, and then on to U Penn, where he pretends he received a Wharton MBA (he did not, and neither did his sons or daughter..they all have BS degrees in BS.) Black people? Oh dear. They are only fit to clean his posh hotels and cook for him and his many wives. He is such an ignorant, awful, hateful man. Hired hands have done all the work of 'building' his empire while he struts around taking credit for any 'success' that pops out of his cheesy schemes.

All too often the efforts end in failure, ridicule or bankruptcy. These he simply glosses over and stomps off into yet a new scheme denying any failure beyond blaming problems on those in his stable.

WATCH: Stephen Colbert ridicules ‘Oompa Loompa’ Trump’s screaming banshee immigration speech

The Republican presidential nominee’s speech was so terrifying that Colbert ducked to the floor in fear, poking his head up only after Trump’s panicked litany of dreadful warnings had ended.

“Is the bad man gone?” Colbert said. “Do I have time to change my pants? Because I am in code brown right now.”

Colbert said you couldn’t really call that Wednesday night horror show a speech, since Trump screamed all of his awful predictions about chaos and lawless violence, so he proposed calling it a screech.

“I don’t understand how he changes emotions so quickly,” Colbert said. “He went from Mr. Cool in Mexico to thermonuclear in, like, an hour. I’m starting to think there might be more than one Donald Trump.”

I have always thought he never wanted to win, this was just a grift and to get all the free air time he could. I am sure he never expected to win and look at what he got away with? Trump needs constant stroking, the only thing equal to his ego is his thin skin....we all know bullies are actually cowards. I have read so many articles about how his rise in hate fame has given him a new objective, a media empire. Timing is everything in life...Fox is done for with Murdoch's sons taking over and Ailes is out and looking for a new gig. He has the masters of hate working for him and a legion of new followers that will not go away when he loses...its perfect. What better way to stay on the national stage and keep the anti Clinton fires stoked, just like Fox has done with Obama since day 1. Ever the grifter, he has made millions during this campaign along with his family funneling all the donors money into his many businesses. Overcharging everything and "loaning" his own money to the campaign which is paid back with donor money plus how many fees? All of this in plain sight...every bankruptcy, every lawsuit ending with him making money as the banks or small businesses lose millions. The most ludicrous is the immigration bullshit which he abused every chance he could. All his buildings used undocumented workers, the model agency....talk about the emperors new clothes. I am convinced there is nothing no matter how obscene or dishonest that will change the minds of his true believers, the next wave of Fox devotees are ripe for the picking totally immune to facts.

  28. I have suspected this from outset that Donald wants attention and ratings more than anything. Pretty clever to use the presidential run to have the media wrapped around his little finger. He wants to win like it's the Miss Universe Pageant. He doesn't actually want to be president. After he loses he may be arrogant enough to eventually admit that his presidential run was better than the greatest reality TV show the world had ever seen. Just like he admitted that he could shoot someone and his followers would still vote for him.

Many low-info paranoid TrumpFanatics will never care and follow him to the end of the world. Donald says he loves the uneducated. But the so-called serious pundits, supporters & politicians are going to be very red-faced when they realize how much Trump fooled the right wing populace and took them for a ride. It will be fun to watch them sputter and squirm. The ones that are jumping off the Trump train and denouncing him early on are wise to do so.

There will be factions on the right that will turn rabid against him once it dawns on them how they've been had. Angry ex-supporters/gun-nuts/racist hate groups may turn their wrath on him and then Trump will be forced to pay for his own lead vests and security everywhere he goes. My advice to him is that after he loses he better be very, very careful about what he admits to publicly.

I haven't read The Art Of The Deal but I believe his real deal is the mind-set of a crap-shooter (in more ways than one). He's a gambler and takes advantage of his losses (bankruptcies & lawsuits) but wins enough to keep afloat robbing Peter to pay Paul. His lawyers have every loophole covered. To Trump this is all about gaming the system and the gambles are worth it. THAT is his real "art" of the deal.

Lawrence O'Donnell had a very interesting take on the AZ speech. He pointed out that, after you strip away the venom, the 10-point plan did back away from the central pledge, long touted as the centerpiece of his tough-guy image, to deport 11M illegals *immediately*. The details of his plan are mostly the current policy, with a few details that would never get through Congress, plus the pledge to build a wall. In short, it was a softening of his earlier stance. O'Donnell's point is that he wrapped the substantive points up in especially venomous rhetoric to keep his based riled up and be able to point to "liberal outrage" against proposals that were materially more reasonable than they sounded. Like I said, an interesting take. Yet another tRump attempt to have his cake and eat it too?
Of course that doesn't mean the ploy worked. The tone of the speech was so well-steeped in anger and hate; like his convention speech, a pretty big turn-off to people who aren't already die-hard supporters. If the point of the Mexico trip was to look like a Statesman, a 72-minute red-faced, spitting-mad speech sure undid any gains in a hurry. And his approval ratings with blacks and Latinos certainly seem to be approaching zero. So it's hard to see what the ploy actually accomplished, with the possible exception of riling up the nutcase base that ain't never gonna carry the day in November.

I'm thinking the very same thing! This presidential run is a foundation for a money making media empire.

Trump actually said at a rally that him starting his own media empire after the election sounded like a great idea.

    THIS IS HAPPENing NOW>
"“If the decision is not overturned, it will be the first time in this country’s history that a noncitizen on U.S. soil would not have access to a federal court to challenge the legality of their removal,” LAWS ARE WHAT MATTER.

The media empire is Trump's bailout plan if he quits during campaign & backup plan WHEN HE LOOSES.

Trump desperately needs an excuse for losing. It's obvious he knows nothing and listens to no one, whatever his next business venture turns out to be is destined to lose as well.

It's sad that our politicians play these games and nothing good gets done in America. I mean on the Republican side. Democrats are always fighting for the underdog on very little funds. Meanwhile, the Republicans waste away taxpayer funds by first investigating Bill Clinton getting a blowjob, and now Hillary's email. On and on. Watching ABC news now and they just repeat what the Right wants them to. It's boring. Turning off the T.V. now. I don't need to be fed.
