Just remember that the last President we had who believed that he was anointed by God was George W. Bush.
You remember that guy right?
Two unnecessary wars, lied to the American people, tanked the economy.
In case you are having some trouble placing this Michael Cohen fellow he is the "Says who" guy.
Yeah, I am going to suggest that this guy's critical thinking skills have not been sharpened in some time.
(H/T Daily Kos.)
The lunatic Christian right is constantly proclaiming for the unsaved and unwashed masses the "will of god" and mandating how all the rest of us must live, what we should believe, and how we're all unsaved trash.
ReplyDelete$arah Palin told John McCain that god would make sure the right people won the 2008 election.
God told Rick Santorum, Michelle Bachmann, Herman Cain, Mike Huckabee, and Ted Cruz to run for President.
Either god doesn't exist, or he/she/it has a sense of humor
That didn't work out so well for Sarah! Did she piss off God?
DeleteI am agnostic but if God has been choosing the winners of past elections, s/he did a great job in 2008.

ReplyDeleteTrump loves Vladimir Putin. Could his tax returns explain why?
ReplyDeleteBy Eugene Robinson Opinion writer OpinionsSeptember 12 at 7:21 PM
Why does Donald Trump say such nice things about Vladimir Putin and Russia? What is Trump hiding in the tax returns he refuses to release?....
Trump has broken with four decades of precedent and adamantly refused to let voters see his tax returns. His excuse — that he is under audit — is bogus...
Here’s what we know. In July, Trump said in a tweet that he has “ZERO investments in Russia.” If this is true, the more relevant question may be the extent to which Russian oligarchs, by definition beholden to Putin, have investments in Trump and his empire...
In 2008, Trump’s son Donald Trump Jr. said at a New York real estate conference that “Russians make up a pretty disproportionate cross-section of a lot of our assets.” Referring to the Trump Organization, where he works with his father, he added that “we see a lot of money pouring in from Russia.”
That boast would make perfect sense. Following the bankruptcy of Trump Hotels and Casinos Resorts in 2004 — which involved three casinos in Atlantic City and one in Indiana, and allowed Trump to get out from under an estimated $1.8 billion in debt — banks became wary of lending to Trump, according to widespread reports....
Which raises an obvious question: To what extent are Trump and the Trump Organization dependent on Russian investment? We have no way of knowing. Examination of Trump’s tax returns might provide the answer....

The Guardian:
Donald Trump labels Clinton 'unstable' as he edges away from Putin relationship
Donald Trump made a half-hearted attempt to distance himself from Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin, on Friday night at a rally in Florida, but aimed inflammatory comments at Iran and his political opponent Hillary Clinton.
He said Clinton could select someone in the Pensacola bay center, shoot him or her in the heart, and get away without prosecution. “She’s trigger happy,” he said. “I think she’s an unstable person.”
“She could walk into this arena right now and shoot somebody, with 20,000 people watching, right smack in the heart and still not be prosecuted,” he said.....
《 WHAT THE FUC_? Trump is the one who said he could shoot someone on 5th Ave and he would not lose voters 》
On Putin, Trump struck a milder tone at the rally. “I don’t know the gentleman. He’s nice to me,” he said. “But if he’s nice to me it doesn’t mean anything unless we make some great deals for our country.”

Democrats are seeking a criminal investigation into Donald Trump's donations.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/donald-trump-donations-probe-democrats_us_57d8321ce4b09d7a687fe744?section=&
"Democrats in Congress want the U.S. attorney general to launch a criminal probe of Donald Trump’s donations to Florida’s top prosecutor, state Attorney General Pam Bondi.
In a letter sent to U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch on Tuesday, Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee pointed to a $25,000 donation that Trump’s charitable foundation improperly paid to a pro-Bondi group while her office was examining a lawsuit against Trump University. They noted that after the donation was received, Bondi declined to pursue a case against Trump’s controversial real estate seminar program or to join other states’ litigation. They also cited other donations in support of Bondi’s bid for re-election.
“This fact pattern indicates that these payments may have influenced Mrs. Bondi’s official decision not to participate in litigation against Mr. Trump,” wrote the Democrats, led by Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.). “A number of criminal statutes would appear to be implicated by this course of conduct,” they argued, pointing to laws against bribery, public corruption and hiding charitable foundation payments from the Internal Revenue Service."
