Green Party candidate Jill Stein says that Hillary Clinton is worse than Donald Trump and that Bernie Sanders has been in Washington too long. Well she seems nice.

Courtesy of Politico:

As much as Stein despises Trump — and she really, really does — she describes the choice between him and Hillary Clinton as an abominable binary offering “death by gunshot or death by strangulation.”

But her contempt has a more cutting quality when she talks about Clinton. She mocks Trump as braying menace; Stein thinks he’s, at heart, a bumbler who would be neutered by his own party after being elected. But it’s Clinton who poses the greater threat, in Stein’s estimation, because she knows how to move the levers of Washington.

“Donald Trump, I think, will have a lot of trouble moving things through Congress,” Stein explains. “Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, won’t. … Hillary has the potential to do a whole lot more damage, get us into more wars faster, to pass her fracking disastrous climate program, much more easily than Donald Trump could do his.”

Gee I wonder why people claim that Stein has a screw loose?

Oh, because she does.

Don't believe me? The check out what she says about Bernie:

“I’ve tried to talk with Bernie, but, you know, Bernie is — he is a team player,” she said, lamenting his refusal to even chat with her. “I think he’s on the wrong team, perhaps because he’s been in Washington, D.C., too long, because he used to really understand independent politics and why we cannot have a viable political system unless we have independent political parties. … Maybe it’s a generational thing.”

So not only has he been corrupted by Washington, but he is also too old.

Is there anybody this lunatic didn't just take a giant shit on?

And that my friends is the end of that campaign.

  2. Why do people like Stein who always complain about D.C. want to get elected to a job in D.C? Then if they do--they want to get re-elected? You know, then have their job for twenty or so plus years so someone else can complain that they've been in DC too long.

No one gets into politics for anything other than to feed their ego and enrich their wallet. It's the problem with our system, decent people never run, they are too smart and too humble, so we're left to vote for the least offensive person.

To enter the political arena and put yourself out there to be voted in or ignominiously voted out, you need to have a pretty strong sense of self. Yes, there are a few who see it as a way to make a steady income, but more often than not, a budding politician has been persuaded by others to run -- usually based on his/her public service, or volunteer activities. After listening to an NPR interview with Stein several weeks ago, I concluded that she is really in the race for self-aggrandizement. She didn't have well-thought-out answers to many questions, and I didn't get the impression that she really cared about any of her policies. Very weak, very uninspiring (and I'm comparing her to Canada's Green Party leader Elizabeth May). And now I've lost all respect for her because of this most recent interview. Get off the political stage, Jill -- you don't belong there.

No, that would depend. In America they are put inside regardless, but in the UK they can go in or outside, depending on context.

"...people in different countries also follow different rules, so you may see quotation marks handled differently in high-quality publications from different countries."

In this case I would question if those are actual quotation marks or indications of a title, since underlining or italics aren't always possible in blogs. If it were a true quotation, you'd have double quotes at the front and double quotes after that period which would be either before or after the single quote indicating a title depending on the country of useage.

      http://www.quickanddirtytips.com/education/grammar/how-to-use-quotation-marks

"Single quotation marks are valid only within a quotation, as per Rule 7, above.".

As I said above, these single quotes aren't being used to indicate sarcasm but the title of something.

Jesus, what an embarrassing blog. Trump will indeed have a difficult time moving along many of the promises he ran on. That's readily apparent to anyone with even a basic understanding of how our system works. You think he'll have Roe v Wade overturned, for instance? Talk to any capable attorney. It's next to impossible, realistically. The man is a jackass, and will most likely redefine the idea of a lame-duck president. On the other hand, Clinton has some truly horrific ideas that she most definitely would have navigated into law. Defining corporations as people, expanded fracking, deregulating what drug companies can charge, which is already a wild west market... The list goes on. So yes, in many ways, assuming you are a liberal, Clinton would be capable of far more damage than Trump. Your whole attack on Stein just reeks of someone without a basic understanding of how government works. She's crazy? For pointing out what any reasonable liberal voter has known forever? You Clintonbots are ridiculous. Now I'm sure you're out protesting the electoral college, since you clearly never sat through a basic civics class...
