Creationists are trying to ruin Halloween for the kids again. Aw man, and they're using dinosaurs to do it!

Courtesy of HuffPo:

Anti-Halloween creationists have some ideas about the holiday that could turn your home into the least popular trick-or-treat stop in the neighborhood.

Instead of handing out candy, Answers in Genesis wants you to give trick-or-treaters fake $1 million bills that warn children of the fiery hell that awaits them.

“Have you ever lied, stolen or used God’s name in vain?” reads part of a fake bill with Noah’s Ark on the front. “The penalty for your crimes against God is death and eternal hell.”

A bill featuring a picture of a dinosaur is just as pleasant.

“Have you ever lied, stolen, hated or dishonored your parents? Have you looked with lust? God says that’s the same as committing adultery in your heart,” a message on the bill reads as it describes the Ten Commandments.

And if you’ve broken any of these rules, you’re doomed: “The penalty of sin is death and eternity in hell.”

Answers in Genesis are that group of assholes trying to trick kids into thinking that Evolution is bullshit and that every animal we see today was rescued from a global flood in a physics defying wooden boat.

Any "Christian" adult who attempts to terrify children with visions of hell should be arrested for domestic terrorism in my book (I know that may seem extreme to some but I think purposefully giving children nightmares, and making them live a life of fear, is just about the worst thing you can possibly do.) and thrown in the same jail cell where they keep the child molesters and kiddie porn watchers.

Actually that is probably the best place for them to run into other members of their church.

By the way for the next knuckle dragging moron who comes over to IM to bitch that I am always going after religious people, shit like this is the reason why.

If religious folks want to stay in their little churches lying to each other about things their pee brains are too tiny to understand I would not think twice about them.

But when you push your religious point of view into the realm of politics, public education, and into our children's lives then you deserve whatever negativity you might receive.

Not only do these fake xtians hate adults but they also hate children too! Their only concern is for fetuses. That's really creepy, as in Halloween-worthy creepy.

So many adults I know will not allow their children to participate in Halloween because, "it's Satan's day". And yet, every single one of them Trick or Treated as kids. But, according to each one of them, things were different then.

Personally, I think it is high time these kids get called out for the lust they have in their hearts! Adulterous little bastards! To eternal hell with all of them!

Do these Christians spend their time explaining to their young kids what "lust" and "adultery" means, so that when their little Johnny says "I think the little girl who lives across the street is cute" they can tell him he's going to burn in fire and brimstone for eternity.

That'll give him a healthy outlook on girls for the rest of his life.

I get a kick out of all the people 'praying for those in the path of the hurricane'.

Well, if your imaginary sky fairy is so powerful, why don't you just pray for him to reach down and snap his fingers and dissipate the storm right now !

I'll keep watching the Weather Channel and wait for that.

I hope people are paying close attention to whoever does this and comes back to TP their house! The saying *IS* "Trick OR Treat", after all.... On second thought, knowing how many of these X-tianists are most likely paranoid and armed, maybe they shouldn't.

at Liberty University’s 2012 convocation, when he was introducing Trump, (Jerry) Falwell, to a roar from the assembled believers: “Trump has also become one of the most influential political leaders in the United States. In 2011, after failed attempts by Senators John McCain and Hillary Clinton, Mr. Trump singlehandedly forced President Obama to release his birth certificate.”

Food for thought: This post and some of the responses to it are exactly the reason why the US Constitution protects the right to free exercise and expression of religion. You may hate it, but it's protected.

I don't think any here would argue your point. We are exercising our right to free speech.

"free exercise and expression" does NOT include imposing it on other people. You may hate that, but that's the way it is.

Sorry Ted, you're wrong. Brush up on your First Amendment knowledge.

Handing out a paper with a religious view in a public place or from the door of your home when someone comes to the door is expressing, not imposing. Nor is it soliciting. As the Supreme Court has found, it's leafletting as long as you're not asking for donations. The Supreme Court has also found that a public street is a street is a street. You an hand out your literature on a residential street as well as Main St. downtown. You may hate that, but that's the way it is.

It's also an incorrect assumption that I'm in favor of handing out religious tracts for Halloween or what that dinosaur thing says. What I'm for is defending everybody's right to express themselves whether you like it or not.

    1. Doubt it, without even reading it. He is the Annointed One and if trafficking is what he needed to do to make enough money to Prepare the Way for him to become President, then So Be It -- it's fine with them.

  11. Amen brother...your take on religion is parallel with mine. Children should NEVER be allowed in a church of any kind. Many still worship magic souly because of tradition, nothing more and their pee brains will never see that. Get em Gryphen

They'll tell kids that lying or stealing or lusting will send them to Hell, but I'll bet they're voting for Trump.

Go ahead and mock the Anti-Halloween Creationists if you must, Gryphen, but these people KNOW how to party!

Last year's All HALLOW'S EVE MONSTER BASH was INSANE! Apple bobbing in vodka, super scary haunted house, rum soaked candy corn, naked chicks everywhere dressed as naked chicks, fake guillotine for liberals (pretty sure it's fake...), lots of Drumpf masks, pumpkin spice tequila shots, Ask A Creationist booth, the works. LOTS of Drumpf masks.

If anyone is interested in a local Halloween party conducted by anti-Halloween Creationists look for your local chapter on Craigslist or Meetup under "Total Douchebags".

I have said it before, but I don't know if I said it here. I went to the funeral of my best friend's mother. She was the sweetest most generous, devout person I think I have ever met. During her Baptist service there were lovely songs and words but then the pastor yelled out "but she was a sinner". That was it for me. I was already questioning but that made it all clear. I am so tired of hearing about people professing to be God fearing Christians. Whey would anyone fear a God that is supposed to be loving and forgiving? I grew up Christian but not devout. As an adult I went to church with my husband and we raised our children in the Lutheran Church. I began reading and thinking (imagine that!) and I am now an athiest. My husband is still religious but does not attend church. When our son died, we had a religious funeral that he would have hated but it was for the rest of the family for whom it is still important. We had one pastor at our Lutheran Church that explained that Halloween actually came from a religious beginning called All Hallows Eve. So what is the harm? When talking about religion and politics; read Jeff Sharlot's The Family. It is eye opening and explains a lot. It is actually scary. These religious politicians really scare me. They are very sleazy and quiet about it. They have been involved with the African, Uganda, I believe death penalty law for gays. They are there because they are opportunistic and that is where they could get a foot hold. Just read......

Whereas the Evangelicals are out to ruin Halloween by requesting everyone tell the little treaters they are all going to hell.

    Yeah, that will scare anyone.

One has to wonder how many of these "perfect" Christians there are. How many would pass the "smell test" to get into heaven.

John Steinbeck said it best: “And now that you don't have to be perfect, you can be good.”
