Donald Trump laying the groundwork for after he loses the election.

It's gonna be great, just me talking 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It's gonna be yuge!
Courtesy of CNBC:

Donald Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner has informally approached one of the media industry's top dealmakers about the prospect of setting up a Trump television network after the presidential election in November.

Mr Kushner — an increasingly influential figure in the billionaire's presidential campaign — contacted Aryeh Bourkoff, the founder and chief executive of LionTree, a boutique investment bank, within the past couple of months, according to three people with knowledge of the matter.

Their conversation was brief and has not progressed since, the people said. Mr Bourkoff and Mr Kushner both declined to comment.

However, the approach suggests Mr Kushner and the Republican candidate himself are thinking about how to capitalise on the populist movement that has sprung up around their campaign in the event of an election defeat to Democrat Hillary Clinton next month.

We have been hearing about this possibility for months but I think this is the first concrete evidence we have seen which demonstrates that Trump realizes he is about to lose and has this plan to start his own media empire once he does.

This might mean that not only is Trump determined to destroy the Republican party from within, but also has plans to do the same to Fox News afterward.

More popcorn anyone?

  1. Anonymous11:45 AM

Trump and his supporters are the zombie apocalypse and clown phenomenon rolled into one. Wow!

  2. Anonymous11:46 AM

It sounds so like Trump to want to yet again try expanding his supposed empire, and we know he's surrounded himself with guys who have plenty of media experience, and yet I have to question whether Trump would want to be so associated with the uneducated yahoo brand that adores him. If he goes with a TV network or online channel, he'll remain king of the embarrassing deplorables and he'll become absolutely tied, in all ways--and we know that the visuals are so important to him--to the blue collar nobodies who would never stay at one of his hotels and golf at one of his courses. It seems natural that he'd want to remain their king, and yet he is so abut appearances and making us all think that he is mister taste and refinery.

    1. Excellent point, but when as Trump ever thought anything through?

    2. Anonymous4:49 PM

Being the narcissist he is, this election has been a 24/7 high for him. All the attention all of the time. How will he get his fix after that? The Apprentice is gone. They're not having him back.

So the only way to stay in the limelight and have free and unfettered access to spew whatever he wants to bloviate on would be to have his own, private TV network. It's a narcissist's wet dream.

Palin couldn't make a go (or profit) of it.

But Trump will figure she went about it all wrong.

I doubt he'll go the subscription route like she did. He also won't build from scratch. He's looking for an existing entity to acquire.

So far, no one wants to get in bed with him. And do you blame them?

  3. Anonymous11:53 AM

See Jane Meyers piece in today's New Yorker.

  4. Trump supporters are too stupid to realize that they have been used. I'd like to be around in a riot proof room when they find out (of course the stupid is too thick for this to happen).

    1. Anonymous12:12 PM

Really. His supporters should imagine what Trump's reaction would be if any of his children were single and his supporters wanted to date them. No friggin' way would he be okay with that!

  6. Anonymous12:04 PM

And Roger Ailes can run it for him.

    1. Anonymous1:06 PM

      Ailes is a partner.

    2. Anonymous4:32 PM

Does that mean he wouldn't run it for him?

    3. Anonymous4:50 PM

He can't run it. Ailes has a non-compete with Fox. But he'll find a way around it. Sewage always seem to sink to the lowest level.

  7. Anonymous12:07 PM

If he succeeds in setting up a. "News" network, I hope it ultimately fails like his airline did. If not, he'll use it to attack President Hillary and anybody who supported her or who ever spoke out against him. And we've seen how chicken most journalists have been....they won't fight back in case he focuses on them. So many unthinking, illogical, un-curious Americans among us that he can influence a big voting block - just as FOX has.

  8. Anonymous12:08 PM

As long as he loses he can go to Disney World - or Hell, also too - for all I care.

Here are ten businesses endorsing Drumpf. Click on it so you can vote with your pocketbook as well as your ballot. Jenny Craig???????

    1. Anonymous12:49 PM

Will boycott where I can. Good bye Home Depot, hello Loews and Home Hardware. Coors -bletch. Hobby Lobby - who needs them when you can go to Joanne's. Easy peasy - for just about every one of those businesses, there are alternatives.

    2. Anonymous4:47 PM

Got some extra shit to return to Home Depot . I'll be sure to tell the Home Creepo WHY I'll never be back.

    3. Anonymous4:56 PM

Bernard Marcus is OUT at Home Depot. He may have founded it and been the CEO at one time, but he has nothing to do with the company now.

I'm not sure Jenny Craig has anything to do with her company now either.

You really have to do research with lists like this. They name these companies so people will recognize the names, but some are no longer associated with the businesses they founded.

I boycott Hobby Lobby, Chick-Fil-A and Georgia Pacific (Koch brothers) because of their previous stands on women and LGTQ issues and will continue to do so.

Well, if the Trump/Kushner clan have too much money and want to throw it away, I say go for it. Oprah had problems with OWN and check out the programming on it now. If it comes to cable/satellite I sure the heck won't be paying for it and if it's bundled into some other package, I will cancel that entire package rather than contribute one cent to InfoWars-Comes-To-TV.

I'm hearing that Trump and Ailes have been trying to get financial backing for their Hate project but haven't been very successful so far.

If Trump were as rich as he claims it would be no problem to set up the Trump Hate Network.

I hope his idiot followers can see for themselves that he only wants them to monetize them- he wouldn't tolerate them in his living room.

    1. Anonymous4:58 PM

Trump only uses other people's money. So when they go bankrupt, he's got no skin in the game. Something he's learned from his previous bankruptcies.

Any Bernie supporters who live in the 49th Orange County district in CA please put your vote in for Applewood! Oust Issa!

It would be a new day in Congress if that piece of utter nonsense, Darrell Issa, who constantly obstructs Obama, petitioned and funded the recall of governor of CA so state could go broke, endless piece of crappy diatribe in the face of every other member of the US Congress, Issa, with his criminal history, has done every conceivable thing he could to thwart anything Obama has tried to accomplish, demeaned and denigrated the position of a national congressman (elected term after term by idiots) and Ret. Marine Colonel Applewood is within striking distance. The DCCC just poured money into Applewood's campaign.

What a revelation it would be for the national Congress and the state of CA if that worthless piece of excrement could be beaten and stop using up hours of legislative time with idiocy, and obstructing President Obama. Spread the word! It has taken years for CA to recover from the stupid recall Issa engineered and financed in CA. More than a decade of his nonsense is way too much. Help spread the word and vote if it is in your district.

    1. Anonymous5:06 PM

Applewood is hitting Issa hard. I've seen ads from both and Issa is running scared. He's never had a challenger like this.

I really hope Applewood takes Issa out. Issa is an embarrassment to the state.

In California, tying Issa to Trump is a good idea.

Arnold Schwarzenegger, the former governor who I'm sure the California worship almost as much as St. Ronnie, has come out against Trump in very powerful words. He says while he is a Republican he is an American first and he puts his country above his party. That is leverage against Issa and his ties to Trump.

Issa has that liar Giuliani defending him against the accusations Issa didn't do enough for 9/11 first responders. That will resonate here too.

Unfortunately neither I, nor my parents live in Issa's district. I don't think my sister does either.

    1. Anonymous5:08 PM

After Trump loses in November, I wouldn't be surprised if Eric an Jr. go back to Drumpf or even take their wive's names. The brand will be ruined and no one will want to be associated with "Trump".

  18. Anonymous1:16 PM

Trump will have to lean on the generosity of his friends if he's going to build any kind of a network via any media. He does not have the billions to ride out the 3-5 years it takes to turn a profit in that industry.

Trump is down to his last few measly million dollars, which reminds me of the time Jim and Tammy Faye Bakker whined about being down to their last $36,000 hahahohohahaheehee.

    1. Anonymous5:13 PM

Trump doesn't have any friends, only business associates. They're not generous, they're businessmen. Trump has so tainted his "brand" that they aren't going to rush to do business with him. Not for "Trump TV" or the "Trump Network". Now that Trump has been exposed for the loser businessman he is, they aren't going to want to risk losing their investment and being involved in another Trump bankruptcy.

Kelly Anne (Trump's spokesperson) said Trump is getting unfair coverage.

So that big ass baby is crying about his coverage?

What happened in the primaries? That orange Butterbean received a lot of free Press coverage and everybody else took a backseat and had to pay to get their messages out.

    1. Anonymous5:15 PM

He just doesn't like the coverage he's getting.

Beggars can't be choosers. If he doesn't like it he can PAY for the coverage he wants. Oh, that's right. He cancelled all of his ad buys. He can't afford to produce and air his own spots.

      Boo hoo.

      Whiny little bitch.

In recent years, several Trump-like personalities have tried to transform their populist shtick into a television venture and have failed. First, there was the Sarah Palin Channel, which lasted less than a year. Glenn Beck, who once led the anti-Obama conspiracy theorists on the right, had a popular show on HLN and then Fox News, but his Blaze TV project has been in a death spiral this year.

Recent newcomers to cable news, like Bloomberg and Fox Business Channel, have also failed to take off. Outside of conservative and news media, networks designed around a single person are no easier to sustain. Even the Oprah Winfrey Network, a cable channel with hundreds of millions of dollar in startup funds, created, in 2011, by one of the most popular personalities in America, has struggled to post impressive ratings.

Also Trump's Kelly Anne said Melania will speak on TV tonight. I think Kelly Anne said something about she believes her husband or something like that.

Donald is this the long drawn out illegal immigration press conference you said will be in a couple of weeks.... A COUPLE OF MONTHS AGO?

Melania made her comment on CNN about her husband's behavior, this was just shown on MSNBC.

    1. Anonymous1:44 PM

Groan, the bleach blond whose hair can practically be seen falling out during interviews will be on with Melania and her newly juiced lips? That part I didn't know.

Yeah, she blames it all on Billy Bush tonight. He "egged on" Trump. Trump has never said or done anything he ought not. I really don't believe Mel thinks that, but of course it's possible that he has hidden things from her very well, especially given that she's wife #3 and he wouldn't want to go through divorce #3 if she had the goods on him.

    3. Anonymous1:52 PM

I saw a small portion of tonight's Melania interview. She has no credibility and said things like a campaign would have her say. The whole thing came off as stupid. Of course, a wife like Melania would 'support' her hub and say it for TV audience. Even if she didn't mean it.

    4. Anonymous3:23 PM

Her eye makeup is really heavy. She keeps darting her eyes from right to left. Of course she knows what a pig her hisband is. What kind of life would she have without him? Too old to go back to being an escort.

She uses a vague "they" as if she thinks the Dems were behind what happened when everyone brought out her porn (and her lies, and her plagiarism).

Melania Trump's first interview since leaked tape

(CNN)Melania Trump says her husband was "egged on" in the 2005 tape in which he made lewd comments about his own sexually aggressive behavior toward women -- remarks she says were "boy talk."

"I said to my husband that, you know, the language was inappropriate. It's not acceptable. And I was surprised, because that is not the man that I know," the wife of the Republican presidential nominee said in an exclusive interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper, which is set to air at 8 p.m. ET Monday.

"And as you can see from the tape, the cameras were not on -- it was only a mic. And I wonder if they even knew that the mic was on," she said, referring to Trump and NBC's "Access Hollywood" host Billy Bush.
She said they were engaged in "boy talk, and he was led on -- like, egged on -- from the host to say dirty and bad stuff."

It was the first on-camera defense Melania Trump has made of her husband since the tape was published by The Washington Post more than a week ago...

She also told Fox News that it’s fair game for her husband’s campaign to highlight the women who have accused former President Bill Clinton of sexual misconduct.

“Well, if they bring up my past, why not?” she said.

The Clintons are “asking for it,” Melania Trump said, adding that they have made an issue of her career as a model.

“They started from the -- from the beginning of the campaign putting my -- my picture from modeling days,” Melania Trump said. “That was my modeling days and I’m proud what I did. I worked very hard.”

Melania Trump Suggests Billy Bush Egged Trump On In Now Infamous Tape (VIDEO)

In a preview for an interview with CNN's Anderson Cooper set to air Monday night, Melania Trump said that she believes former "Access Hollywood" host Billy Bush egged on her husband to make predatory comments about women in a leaked video from a 2005 taping.

Cooper asked Trump what she thought the first time she heard the now-infamous tape, and she said that she let her husband know that his comments were not okay with her.

"I said to my husband that, you know, the language was inappropriate. It's not acceptable," she said. "And I was surprised, because that is not the man that I know."

She went on, though, to question whether Donald Trump knew he was being recorded and whether Bush goaded him into what she characterized as "boy talk."

"Ss you can see from the tape, the cameras were not on, it was only a mic," she said. "And I wonder if they even knew that the mic was on, because they were kind of boy talk, and he was egged on by the host to say dirty and bad stuff."

"You feel the host, Billy Bush, was egging him on?" Cooper clarified.

    "Yes," she replied.

Melania Trump went on to say that she has never heard her husband speak like that, but alluded to the "locker room talk" defense that her husband's campaign has been using.

"That's why I was surprised. Because I don't know the person that would talk that way, that he would say that kind of stuff," she said....

    See video below

    1. Anonymous3:41 PM

Whether a mic was on or not should make no difference to the idiot! And her husband is 25 years older than Bush and even back then Trump was so used to the media and should have known better. My blame on Bush is about him. Trump needs to take responsibility for his own words. And so does Melania. Her excuse that he's a germaphobe and wouldn't touch a woman is asinine. He doesn't want to be touched but wants to touch when he wants to touch. And he surely cleans up afterward. And what he's doing, while germy, is sexual and using sex as a weapon is much more important to him than his general distaste of touching. She's an imbecile.

    2. Anonymous5:51 PM

She caught him in the act with one of his victims.

Well, to a point--she's pretty fucking into lying and doing whatever will get her what she wants! We know that from past ethical crimes she's committed.

I also have to say that she looked like hell. She must be doing her own makeup. Every pore of her dry face showed. The way overly darkened and strangely white-highlighted-underbrow eyes looked horrible, and that injected mouth...yikes.

Melania acts on both AC360 tonight and in a Fox interview tomorrow as if all the accusers are trash and Bill and Hillary are behind the accusations and the Billy Bush tape, and they deserve to be attacked back by Bill's accusers. Melania says "they asked for it." She smirks. She is so fucking evil!

It shows, she is going way of sarah. Looking more like a man everyday. The con will ditch her or have flings. No brainer.

Malania has given SNL some choice material to work with. She will make Trumpsters happy. For the majority she was a ridiculous and makes it look like that marriage is a front. She talks about the Don as if he is about Baron's age. I doubt they live with him at that tower. I think that is a place they use for these photo ops and performances. Knowing the Trumpsters will buy whatever they are doing.

She has earned and deserves to be mocked.

Her flippant blame game and smirking in both interviews shows just how undeserving Melania is of being First Lady.

Trump has invited the psycho Benghazi mother from the GOP convention to the third debate. Times like these, I wish our side could stoop low--I'd love to see all of Donny's accusers, including the then-13-year-old, there.

A social media post of an Oelwein reserve officer is drawing some attention. The picture shows a man with with his pants down, pointing a gun at a Hillary Clinton sign. "

Villainia said to Anderson that Michelle Obama needs to take a look at what kind of people support her. She also seemed pleased that, according to her, only women reporters were writing stories that were writing anti-Melanaia stories--her smirk indicated that she thinks of them as envious. She said smugly that if it were up to Trump she'd be on the campaign trail all the time--she seemed to think she was the secret weapon but she wnated to be at home and be a mom (what an excuse to NEVER campaign!). What really killed me was how she went on and on about her nude photo stories and insisted that she was the truth teller and others were liars. Anderson should have asked her, next, what about what it said on her website bout having a degree, and what about the plagiarism. Yes, Donald is the one running for election, but she was going on and on about truth. I saw so much arrogance and smugness and an inability to sympathize with other women.

Melania has no business comparing herself to our graceful, intelligent First Lady! Just another plastic, gold-digging bimbo and don't even get me started on her "mom" creds.

I doubt he has the stamina for another show, maybe he'll join the duck people, or better yet, the grifters from Wasilla. Great, another channel not to watch, so glad there's hundreds of others. His first guests will be Vlad Putin, Zimmerman, and Pat Robertson. Then he'll have that tall piece of ass (his words, not mine) Ivanka, the love of his life.

Hey Melania, what about Nancy O'Dell, the woman your husband said on that tape he tried to fuck? And we all know by Nancy's statement--that she will speak when she casts her vote--that what he said was true.

Don't feed the trolls!
It just goes directly to their thighs.
