Here is a little good news to start your Sunday.

Courtesy of HuffPo:

When The Huffington Post’s presidential forecast model debuted on Oct. 3, Clinton had an 84 percent chance of winning, leaving Trump only a 16 percent chance of becoming president. Now, 11 days later, Trump’s chances are in the single digits. Clinton has a 91 percent chance of winning. The model gives her 341 electoral votes to Trump’s 197.

Trump’s lower chances in the forecast stem from small shifts in polls across several states. Despite the poll changes in Utah, it’s still classified as a likely Trump win. Other states have seen small ― but important ― shifts toward Clinton. Michigan and Wisconsin are now over 90 percent likely to go to Clinton, which gives her 273 electoral votes just among states that she is 90 percent or more likely to win.

Once again I share this with you simply to start your day off on a positive note, but it in no way means that this election is over and that your vote does not matter.

Early voting in Alaska starts Monday, October 24, and if you do not think I will be there on day one to cast my vote for Hillary Clinton then you certainly do not know me very well.

The moment you get back, please post, especially telling us the mood at your voting place. November 4, 2008, was the happiest vote of my life, and the silent euphoria in the long waiting line was unmistakable. Let's do it all again :)

I remember waking up the day after the election in 08. Got up early for work, expecting to hear that Obama lost, and instead did a DANCE! hell, I danced all day at work!

Exactly! Let's all make it a bigger landslide than even what is predicted now!

    2. Yep. Poll numbers are not ballots.

Think this on November 8th -- Eight-hour-long lines; voter intimidation; closed polls in Democratic-leaning districts; voter suppression laws; rigged machines owned by right-wing folks; gerrymandering.

Nothing is certain in this election except GOP cheating will be attempted -- they now have nothing to lose.

The usual crap they pull in every election times 10 this time.

  5. It's great news because Trump will get madder and madder, spewing his poison even higher, making him even more unelectable. But a loser Trump is like a bear with the sore head.

He will claim to his gun-toting mob that
Hillary's presidency will not be legit, nor her government
(so it's OK to take up arms).

Bad news because Hillary needs him to stay in until November 8 and he has said -- in capital letters -- that he will never, ever quit. Why does that worry me? 'cause he usually does everything he says he's not going to do. It's his pathetic pattern.

Governor Haslam (R) has gained some redemption in my eyes by declaring he can't support Trump and can't wait for the election to be over with and done.

As an aside, he is also vehemently against guns in bars, but his veto was overridden.

I'm sitting here right now drinking coffee out of my "I'm with her" mug.

      Whoops, cast, not caste.

Either way, I will be there on the first day of early voting.

  8. Did you see the article in the SECOND Tribune by Elizabeth Smart about Teump'so Access Hollywood remarks? I hope that the women of Utah will think of her when they get to the voter's booth.

Reminder: The same forecasters gave Clinton a 95+% chance of winning the primaries in Michigan and Indiana. She lost.

This early spiking of the football is dangerous. People who don't like Hillary but would never vote for Trump might exercise their protest vote - leave "President" blank, vote for Johnson or Stein, write in somebody else - if they believe the race isn't close.

I have never nor will ever give credence to polls. Unfortunately, many do. My mail-in ballot should arrive this week and I can't wait. VOTE.

Hell froze over here in Idaho. The main newspaper just endorsed Hilary. The first time in its history it has endorsed a Democratic candidate. The republican party here voted for Cruz.

Horrible, disgusting man. No chance. (sniff)

(Full disclosure: In the mid 1970's I briefly performed in a Hamilton Joe Frank and Reynolds cover band called "Sid Blumenthal and the Email Servers". We were awful but we did it to get chicks. Unsuccessfully, I might add)

Thank You, Lord Jeebus for President Drumpf!!

All the polls are, are educated guesses at one point in time. Trump's got a couple more weeks to keep digging deeper, and I firmly believe, Hillary will be the winner hugely, very hugely, and believe me, I know words, lots of words. From watching generals on all the shows, and of course, tweeting my tiny fingers to the bone till the wee hours of the morning because Melania got a fancy lock on her boooooodoir/ goat cheese manufacturing room in the palace in New York aka The New York.
