Look I have been around way too long not to recognize a little manipulation for effect here.
However those ARE Hillary Clinton's words from a past when she was just as full of hope and promise as those young people hearing this speech for the first time.
Does she still have those same ideals?
Well there are certainly many who would say not. But are those people who are dealing with the facts, or reading from a playbook written specifically to stop this woman from ever reaching a position to put these ideas into place?
Well I certainly know what I think.
I've been a fan of Hillary Rodham Clinton for decades. She has always been this way. If those hordes of men in suits wielding torches and pitchforks would STFU and leave her alone for five minutes the world would see it too.
ReplyDeleteThe world has always seen Hillary positively for what she can do and has already done. It is dissenting voices in the USA that try to stop her from achieving her ideals for this country.
DeleteI love Hillary but millenials are so annoying!
ReplyDeleteAhhh, the old people, always so damn jealous of the young....
DeleteBoycott Ivanka and anything Trump.
ReplyDeletehttp://www.rawstory.com/2016/10/donald-trump-is-killing-ivankas-business-as-women-boycott-her-brand-and-the-stores-that-carry-it/
It's not hard to boycott Ivanka Inc, what with her stolen designs and her sweatshops and her lies about how she treats her employees.
DeleteIvanka Trump doesn't need your hard-earned dollars, shop where you're appreciated.
It is amazing to think about. She once belonged to a college young Republican's Club and checked all the right boxes to fit in, then evolved as she grew. This should go viral just to show the millenials she was in their shoes once.
ReplyDeleteI was raised in a Republican household in a small town. "Evolved" is right, and why Republicans are against education.
DeleteShe was also a Goldwater Girl.
DeleteHaha. That was a good one. Fooled even me. The young people of this generation have no idea what shit storm will inundate America if Trump wins with his fascist viewpoint and his dictator's rhetoric. Honestly, I hope they get over themselves real fast.
ReplyDeleteYeah, 'the young people have no idea'.
DeleteHow did you like it when you were talked down to like this back when you were young?
This younger generation is more politically involved than the previous one. How you like them apples?
Honestly, I hope you get over your old ignorant ass. Real fast.
Rednecks like me will always love Trump!
ReplyDelete5:12 Rednecks like you sure have low standards.
DeleteStupid, much?
DeleteOh, and fuck Mitch McConnell.
GeorgiaPeach
Rednecks don't have Hispanic surnames.
Deletere you going to spend this next weekend self deporting yourself?
DeleteThis is someone trolling Sunny's family, so it can only be that puke-inducing psychopath Alicia.
DeleteGryphen, please stop letting her do this.
@5:23 Love GeorgiePeaches ;-)
DeleteWho in her family is Mexican? I thought Levi's dad was the Mexican.
DeleteThat's because rednecks like you are morons. Oh, and you hate American ideals.
DeleteIt's not really anyone's business who in Sunny's family is what. What IS somebody's business is a troll using someone else's name here and Gryphen letting them do it.
DeleteDear Gryphen,\It seems this election season has you hopping on this blog. I know with all the ammo tRump seems to be throwing at himself it must be hard to keep up.
ReplyDeleteBut as a faithful reader for years I am conlar job and monitor this blog.
With tRump up at 3am doing random cocaine tweets, and his east coast surrogates staying up past their 9pm curfew I am worried about you.
Hang in there, we luv ya Uncle Gryphen. tRump will be down in flames in 3 weeks.
Thank you, Gryphen.
ReplyDeleteAnd thank you, Hillary Rodham Clinton.
1968 was a devastating year. Hillary Rodham helped us find our voices.
1969 Wellesley Rah! 1969 Wellesley.
In '68 my favorite cousin was killed in 'Nam, one brother still alive in 'Nam and 2 more brothers on their way between '68 and 70, in '69 I had a sister go as a nurse and I followed her in '70. Luckily we all made it home, not all without issues but the rest of us made it home.
DeleteI'm impressed, Liz.
DeleteMy dear mom and dad were born in 1968 so I consider is a pretty good year :-)
DeleteI'm giving Clinton the benefit of the doubt that she plays both sides of the fence because she knows that's what she has to do to get things done. And I'm hoping the republicans will end their eight year hissy fit after seeing the monster it created.
ReplyDeleteI don't think knowing you need to compromise sometimes is "playing both sides of the fence", I think negotiating is how things get accomplished.
DeleteNegotiating and compromise are how governments work. Look at the GOP since January 2009. All they've given us is a permanent temper tantrum complete with held breath so that very, very little can be accomplished. I'm sure that there are at least a few Republicans who would like to start combatting climate change and a few that would like to have some Zika research done and maybe even a few who would like to see Garland named a Supreme Court justice but they do nothing. They are paralyzed by fear of being seen to "compromise." The 21st century GOP has no business being anywhere near a government, from local, county, state or federal, until they learn the art of compromise and until they teach their supporters that negotiating and compromising are not the evil twins of some bizarre universe far, far away.

"But are those people who are dealing with the facts"
ReplyDeleteHere's a fact: Hillary Clinton has rarely broken with the elite, establishment, insider position: when most were for the war in Iraq she was for it. When most were against the surge in Iraq, she was against the surge. When Romney was a hawk on Russia in 2012, she played doveish. Now she and her minions are talking so hawkishly about Russia that's it getting to where if it doesn't get de-escalated soon, we're going to have a real problem. What you get with Hillary Clinton is more elitist groupthink. That's a fact.
Fuck-n-A right.
DeleteThis is fact:
Deletehttp://www.rawstory.com/2016/09/john-oliver-trumps-scandals-are-way-worse-than-hillarys-and-voters-should-be-fcking-outraged/
What you mean is at all times the majority of people agree with Hillary Clinton.
DeleteHowever you clearly have no knowledge of the current situation with Russia. How about you go read some European reports FROM THE REGION and take a break from promoting Trump?
"What you mean is at all times the majority of people agree with Hillary Clinton."
DeleteStrawman much 6.44? No, that's not clearly not what 6:13 meant.

ReplyDeleteTrump Will Accept Results Of Election ‘If It’s Fair,’ His Son Says
ReplyDelete"I THINK WHAT MY FATHER
IS SAYING IS"
WTF?
Huffington Post:
WASHINGTON, Oct 23 (Reuters) - Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump will “100 percent” accept the results of the U.S. election if it is fair, his son Eric Trump said on Sunday.
“I think what my father is saying is, ‘I want a fair election,’” Eric Trump said on ABC’s “This Week.”
“If it’s a fair outcome, he will absolutely accept it. There’s no question about that.”
Donald Trump, Putin's pawn and supposedly a millionaire who wants to be king of the United States of America and Eric Trump his son has to translate for daddy? D
I'm sorry, didn't Donald go to the best school on this side of the galaxy if not the entire galaxy? Why does he need a translator?
Some kids go to school to learn and better themselves, some to eat lunch and some go to school to grab coochie.
Donald Jr, Eric, Ivanka, Tiffany and Baron, which one is your father?
"I THINK WHAT MY FATHER IS SAYING IS?"
Sheesh come on man!
He better check with his brother because Jr. says it's rigged.
DeleteSo who is going to determine "fair"? Obviously not the vote count; the Trumps wouldn't like that. Maybe rock-paper-scissors? I don't think that anyone in the Trump family has the mental capacity of a fifth grader. They all seem to be stuck in the fourth grade.

Because daddy wants to hear Hail To The Chief, ride in Air Force One, wants to live in the White House and wants the world to bow down to him, daddy has now
ReplyDeleteCLOAKED THE TRUMP NAME IN FAILURE
Not only Americans are distancing themselves from the Trumps, so is the world.
$$$$$$$$
*In Dubai, a firm building a golf complex with Mr Trump removed his name and image from the property.
*In Turkey, the developers of Trump Towers Istanbul have tried to distance themselves from the Republican hopeful.
*And there have been protests outside Trump buildings in the US.
Demonstrators and decadence at Trump's new Washington hotel
*The building is the subject of a lawsuit by disgruntled buyers who lost money after investing in the property, in one instance almost 1m Canadian dollars ($750,000; £613,000).
*Brent Toderian, a Vancouver-based city planner, was the first to openly oppose Trump branding on the 63-storey Canadian tower, designed by famed architect Arthur Erickson to have a distinctive 45-degree twist as it rose into the sky.
"We've taken a building that is the second-tallest in the skyline, carefully planned at least in part by one of our most revered Canadian architects - a very elegant piece of architecture for our skyline - and retroactively duct-taped Trump's name to it," he said in an interview.
*In December, Mr Toderian renewed his call for the Holborn Group to distance themselves from the Trump name. He was joined by Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson, who said the brand had no place on the city's skyline.
"Donald Trump's hateful positions and commentary remind us all of much darker times in our world's past - and it is incumbent upon all of us to forcefully challenge hatred in all of the ways that it confronts us," he wrote in a letter to the developer.
*In a recent decision, an Ontario court ruled in favour of two investors, saying one could be discharged from his obligations and another could be awarded damages.

For Republicans Abandoning Donald Trump, Obama Has a Message: ‘Too Late’
ReplyDelete“Competing for the job I currently hold, you’ve got a guy who proves himself unfit for this office every single day, every single way, and on the other side, you’ve got somebody who is as qualified as anybody who’s ever run for the presidency: Hillary Rodham Clinton,”
- President Obama
Trump’s most dangerous gambit
ReplyDeleteIs the GOP candidate trying to win anymore, or just intent on destroying the presidency?
To the Clinton campaign, Trump doesn’t look like he’s trying to win anymore.
And its frightening them as her aides start shifting toward a transition mind-set and thinking about how to govern in the aftermath of the ugliest, most divisive election in modern presidential politics.
Her team worries: Is the next step protests, or even riots? Or is it an extended resistance to Clinton if she’s sworn in as president?
It could be all of the above.

I really like this post jesse, thanks for putting it up.
ReplyDeleteMost of the time, when I see a Facebook post declaring Hillary is Hitler incarnate, a serial killer rivaling Ted Bundy, and the love child of a still alive Elvis and Bigfoot (operating a general store in Dumfuque, Idaho)
ReplyDelete--I just scroll on past...NOTHING will change the mind of that kind of a rightwingnut domestic terrorist.
But I can't help myself, and often comment with a phony compliment on the mental telepathy of those who claim they can read Hillary's mind, so are privy to her thoughts on Wall Street, how she will destroy the planet Earth, and so forth.
It really is amazing how far into the Twilight Zone some Trump supporters can go...ready to stake the lives of their entire families, on the verity of such psychotic sounding proclamations.
roger, there is a loon at c4p tonight, FREEMPG, who claims and links to an article about how the government is set with a machine that creates holograms of aliens to flash over ignorant red states to scare them into staying home Nov 9.
DeleteI kid you not.
The same result could be achieved by continuously streaming NASCAR on election day ;-)

ReplyDeleteThis site is giving away free Donald Trump tshirts as long as you order before Nov. 8th. (Or until they run out) http://adf.ly/1f3Gt3 Just fyi.
ReplyDeleteOT - two sisters go to a trump rally wearing a tshirt that says "Latina contra Trump" - end up getting their picture taken with eric trump
ReplyDeleteLOL these girls are the best !!! (glad they didn't get hurt)

Sure she started out idealistic, hopeful.
ReplyDeleteThen s a woman, she was squashed squashed squashed . In politics she had to play the game or get nowhere.
Collectively we need to raise our children to be better, different. Then the Hillary's of the world can make real lasting changes that benefit us all.
And term limits. Need those. It should be a tough honor, not some cushy job in which you get rich by selling your principles.
First off. The republican party so full of hate since 1992 decided to allow a fringe radical group manage the party. The Rinos now own it. And you people (gop) sold it to them. And today? RT TV Russian/Trump TV is the face it. Treasonist and Traitors TV
ReplyDelete16. 16 choices the republican party had. And Donald j trump was the choice. He won by calling all 15 people names, by hate filled insults, lies, bribes and threats. You allowed it. And now ask America to allow it. NO. and by the way. NO means "NO"
ReplyDeleteSo awesome!! Thanks for posting that. Yes - she still has those ideals.
