New book coming from Stephen King.

Oh my God, that's terrifying!

Fortunately that could only happen in a work of fiction.

Right Mr. King?

Right?

Mr. King?

  1. A Facebook feature is that they'll post a "memory" of something YOU posted a year or more, ago.

On my profile, something from four years ago, just popped up. Its the "meme" of a frightened girl about 16, scared half to death, with "Fox News--frightening people needlessly since 2006"

I recall why I posted it: some rightwingnut friends had their daughter (who looked a lot like the girl in the photo) actually considering suicide if Obama won re-election.

Those same friends, instead of feeling pretty silly about acting that insane, are at it again about Trump losing and Hillary winning.

Will psychologists soon come up with a NAME for this mental deformity? Fox Syndrome? Tinfoilitis?

A woman told me her brother claims that Trump tells the truth and tells it like it is and everyone else lies. That is another Trump lie and projection of his pathological lying to cover up his lies conning people he alone speaks truth.

Trump only uses a truth if it serves what he wants. People are idiots to believe Trump will give them jobs and prosperity. He has not been a leader to manufacture his own products here and he blamed Clinton for everything he gets away with.

I think that is a delicious dig at DJT and I think King should have included @DJT in the tweet.

Last night I posted on your blog about a movie I was watching. I realized I didn't put down the title. It was called Network. It reminded me of this whole Trump ordeal. I imagined his people running the numbers every night. And Trump was just like Howard Beale the character. Then last weekend I watched that movie with Christoper Walken who went into a five year coma (think this was a Stephen King movie) and when he came awake he could see the future. It was called the Dead Zone, and there is a guy running for president named Greg Stillson who is exactly like Trump. Bill Maher said that hollywood predicts the future with its' movies, and he wasn't kidding.

That's the same movie I thought of when Trump came on the scene and King voiced condemnation. Absolutely chilling and you can imagine Trump executing the nuclear codes as Stillson does in the future the Walken character can see.

To further scare the hell out of you, trry "A Face in the Crowd" from 1957. Shows the rise of a "regular guy" into power and near-fascism. He is finally undone by media that made him a star. Very prescient.

  6. Stephen King is the best. Aside from being a hard-working author whose books please millions of people, he has great values - and a great sense of humour.

Huge fan of his works, until now, I wouldn't believe it even if it came from his mouth.... but reality is stranger than fiction sometimes.
