I don't think that Paul Ryan clearly understands the Bernie Sanders phenomenon.
If he thinks that arguing for conservative voter turnout by pointing out that Sanders might end up in charge of the Senate Budget Committee is going to be more effective for his side than for the Democrats, he must have been in a coma during the Democratic primary.
I can guarantee that every Bernie supporter who has been depressed about Hillary winning the nomination, and unsure if they would even bother to vote, will be given renewed purpose after seeing this.
And if the idea of Hillary Clinton in the White House, and Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, and Al Franken as part of the majority in the Senate does not fire you up to vote, well then you do not recognize victory when you see it.
Evil never serves it's own purpose - thank all the stars.
ReplyDeleteBernie as budget chairman? Let's do this thing!!!!!'
@Connie 2:42 AM
DeleteYep, let's do this! Let's make it a landslide victory for Hills, and take back the Senate and House!
Get all those Democrats fired up to vote for Hills, and vote straight blue down the line.
I like this post, Gryph. Thank you for it.

ReplyDeleteOMG you probably already know this but trump may have started trump-tv during the debate !!!!!
"
Right before the final presidential debate took place at UNLV in Las Vegas, Trump’s official Facebook page started live-streaming pre-debate coverage. According to BuzzFeed News, the video grabbed the attention of about 200,000 viewers. The coverage showed former Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer and retired Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn discussing both Trump and Hillary Clinton and giving their predictions for the night. The live-stream then included a strong message from Ivanka Trump before a pro-Trump ad.
Around 10:15 p.m., over 170,000 people were live-streaming the video. Along with the video was this message: “If you’re tired of biased, mainstream media reporting (otherwise known as Crooked Hillary’s super PAC), tune into my Facebook Live broadcast. Starts at 8:30 EST/5:30 PST — you won’t want to miss it. Enjoy!
It’s believed the live-stream could the beginning of Trump TV.”

ReplyDeleteDonald Trump Jr.: Becoming President Would Be ‘A Step Down’ For My Father

I didn't see a post on this story before posting on the same topic. Can you believe that Jr.? He's so arrogant. And he just talks at the person interviewing him and sounds like a spazz and control freak at once.
DeleteHe and Eric also repeated the "election is rigged" debacle. No mincing words.
DeleteLittle nazis.
Then Senior IS crazy. What kind of person applies for a job he's not qualified for?
DeleteSo, Donald said twice that he won't accept election results if he loses? What a PRICK!
ReplyDeleteNow he's saying he'll accept them only if he wins.
DeleteAmen..what a quartet that could be!! Vote people!!
ReplyDeleteBernie had primary crowds that were sometimes triple the size of Trump's.
ReplyDeleteAn extra motivator for me is the need to keep all of Trump's family out of the WH. Don Jr. is such a boorish turnoff whenever he does an interview, and this is no exception:

ReplyDeleteDonald Jr: MY DADDY WOULD BE THE GREATEST POLITICIAN IN THE HISTORY OF THE WORLD!
Donald Trump Jr do you mean of America?
DTJ: No, ... "OF THE WORLD" ... "OF THE WORLD" ... "OF THE WORLD!"
USA Today:
Donald Trump Jr. says the presidency would be a 'step down' for dad
Moving into the White House would be a "step down" for his father, Donald Trump Jr. told a Fox News reporter after the third presidential debate Wednesday.
..... So you know what? He's learning. He's learning as he goes. If he was doing this his whole life he'd be the greatest politician in the history of the world."

Whoa, one would never know you spent months gratuitously trashing Bernie for doing exactly the same thing he is now - putting the welfare of the people first.
ReplyDeleteGratuitous? Grow up.
DeleteRight, 6:47, there was nothing gratuitous about the trashing of Bernie here. It was vicious, mean-spirited, ugly defamation.
DeleteGotta be honest, during the primary I hated Bernie Sanders.
ReplyDeleteNow I'm okay with him. Maybe give him a job in her administration.
???? No no no, did you read G's post?? SENATE. And Hillary's not giving it to him.
DeleteThis goes to show what I've been saying about Paul Ryan: he's not that smart.
ReplyDeleteThe only reason Paul Ryan is the darling of the Republican-right is that there is just damned little over there to compare him to.
Same reason Trump got the nomination over those other 16 goofballs they had running: lack of competition.
You hear it all time, on the news, on the talk radio show: Paul Ryan is the Real Deal on budget - but the crap he proposes is nonsense.
It's the same old conservative bullshit: everything will be great when the 1% owns EVERYTHING.
Ryan's budget is FULL of 'magic' imaginary windfalls that he does. Not. Show. Just: give tax-cuts to the wealthiest and everything will be fine.
Paul Ryan is only head-and-shoulders above his peers because that pool is so shallow.
All you said.
DeleteGuess who's coming to the Al Smith dinner on C-Span?
ReplyDeleteBloomberg:
A Funny Thing May Happen on the Way to Thursday’s Trump-Clinton Roast
... “I don’t care how they behave,” said Langone, who intends to vote for Trump. “It’s a roast, so if they go after each other, whether it’s in a humorous fashion or nasty way, I can’t, nobody can guess what the hell these two can do.”...

Oh I can see it, victory. See it, smell it, and almost touch it. Rock on Hillary.
ReplyDeleteWhat an amazing idea. Why haven't we thought of this before? Put adults in charge of the Senate. That should be publicized far and wide so, as you said, the bernie or bust people know they have been heard.. and VOTE.
