Ben Carson rejects opportunity to join Trump cabinet.

Look I'm gullible, I'll believe just about anything. But even I have my limits.
Courtesy of The Hill:

Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson has told President-elect Donald Trump that he isn't interested in serving as secretary of Health and Human Services, a Carson ally confirmed to The Hill on Tuesday.

Business manager and close friend Armstrong Williams said Carson won't join the incoming Trump administration and would only serve as an unofficial adviser.

"Dr. Carson was never offered a specific position, but everything was open to him," Williams told The Hill in a phone call.

"Dr. Carson feels he has no government experience, he's never run a federal agency. The last thing he would want to do was take a position that could cripple the presidency."

Damn that really says something when a guy who thinks the pyramids were built to store grain is too smart to jump on your soon to be sinking ship.

But as for that "no government experience" remark, didn't this guy want to be the ACTUAL president at one point?

And doesn't THAT also require a little "government experience?"

LOL "Dr Carson 'feels' he has no government experience ..."

He needs a good dose of Sarah Palin to crack open that door to total early-resigning incompetence. Sarah Palin is so desperate there is nothing she wouldn't pass up- even Secretary of Word Salad.

Herr Trump's queen of the world as

      'Royal Food Taster Extraordinaire'

is the best dining room china cabinet position for ol' Sarah P, IMO. Extreme vetting not required, McCain did it in 2008.

Apparently being POTUS is not as hard as heading up a federal agency or department. Poor Dr. Ben Carson, forever confused with the trustworthy kindly black man on the Uncle Ben's Rice packages.

Yet, he ran for the highest government office in the land, the presidency.

    The ignorant SOB.

He ran merely to increase his speaking fees while he was hawking his latest book on the campaign trail.
It was all to increase the visibility and $$ of his 'brand', not to be elected POTUS.

Carson wasn't the Miracle Surgeon he promotes himself to be. His 'expertise' wrecked some little kids' lives, and by extension, the lives of those little maimed kids' families. The Google is forever.

    Don't sweat my friends.

I feel he will be impeached, if the Electoral College even elects him in December.
There are impeachable offenses on his part, that the House and the Senate can get him on.
He has court cases coming up. And he was accused of raping a 13 year old.

The Congress can find impeachable offenses for sure. As he is hated by the GOP establishment.

Also he has not given a report on his health like all other candidates and presidents have done. I feel there could be some health issues he is hiding from the American people.

He reviewed the official numbers on TV with Dr. Oz, who I think was the Muppet who played saxophone in the orchestra pit. He made sure Oz read aloud, even to Oz's incredulity, that he had more testosterone than a monster truck fucking a beer keg on a football field. By Trump logic, this constitutes the release of medical records.

If Congress impeaches Trump, then we get Pence. If Pence should also be impeached, then we get Ryan. And on down the list - of various shades of "deplorable." We know that not one person wearing the name tag "GOP" cares at all about governing or knows how it should be done.

    4. I have developed a tiny amount of respect for Paul Ryan out of this. At least he stood up to Trump. And still is.

I don't agree with Ryan or his beliefs as a whole, but at least he has the integrity to stand up to a complete disaster like Trump. If I had a choice between Trump, Pence, or Ryan, I'd pick Ryan. Easily.

    5. If in the electoral college, I would start to worry about this guy.

He wants to reinstate a registration system for Muslim immigrants. The wall/fence is moving forward. He has a white supremacist/anti-semite in the Karl Rove bird seat. His transition team is a mess, missing meetings and deadlines and they can't find anyone to fill positions. They're asking the outgoing Democrats to recommend Republians? Really?

The electoral college has two weeks to get their shit together and do something about this.

Lindsay Graham has pledged to hold hearings on Russia's intervention/interference in this election.

This is another ground for the Congress to impeach Trump. (if the Electoral College even elects in on Dec. 19.)

Trump's transition team has been a big no show at several very important departments.. defense and transportation. The folks leaving are waiting for the folks coming in to learn wtf they are supposed to be doing and NO ONE SHOWS UP!!!!

Carson is smart enough to see the handwriting on the wall. Someone has to take the blame when tRump goes down in flames. Stand clear, let one of his spawn face the music, they are running this disaster right now. I wonder how PayMe feels, reading about the people turning down jobs, when she has not been offered one? He might be forced to stoop to her level yet, since nobody seems willing to join him, only crooks.

Yep, when Trump goes down, any blacks on his staff will be blamed/scapegoats. Trump surely will try to get some scapegoats(blacks) on his staff.

Most of them do not want to actually do any work - we all know most (including trump) were running for president to make money - higher speaking fees, book sales, etc.

      1. Not everyone who runs for president, or other public offices, go on speaking tours, or even do public speaking.

      2. If running for president gets you higher speaking fees, then the system is to blame.

4:17 - I did not say everyone! but look at the clown car of repubs and tell me that most are not doing for the money and speaking fees?

what system are you talking about - that the wealthy are so rich they can spend millions of dollars to listen to crackpots ? that system - sure I'll blame that system

    3. Anonymous6:05 AM

AND I don't even care about speaking fees - more power to who ever can get paid big bucks for an hour or two of just talking - what I get upset about is that they are using campaigning to raise their status and spreading lies and hate and tossing red meat to do it

  10. So even Carson sees this future administration as a clusterf*ck. . . . .

I'm sure there are a few clueless ex-pols who would love a job in already completely corrupt administration. They just have to offer her one.

SO.....Carson begs off Trump cabinet posts citing 'lack of experience' yet he was running for president. What this tells us is Carson wants nothing to do with the coming spectacle that will be a Trump admin. Anyone taking a job in the Trump admin had better be lawyered up to the gills as well--for all the scandals & illegalities that will be prosecuted. 100-200K per year right there.

  12. I'm glad that Carson rejected the position. It's one of the smartest things he's ever done!

Do you know what a pain it is to try to explain to people why hiring a neurosurgeon could potentially be a terrible blow to science education and research in this country?

This would be funny if the list of appointed deplorables wasn't getting longer. At least Carson was a Dr. The rest will throw it at the wall and see if it sticks.

Hey deplorables, see what you've wrought?

He thinks Trump getting elected is one of the signs of Armageddon or he'd need a new "bro" photo with Jesus, Benjamin and Donald. Those things cost a lot of moolah.
