Wow, the @nytimes is losing thousands of subscribers because of their very poor and highly inaccurate coverage of the "Trump phenomena"— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 13, 2016
Wasn't it Omarosa who told us that Trump had a list of enemies? The @nytimes sent a letter to their subscribers apologizing for their BAD coverage of me. I wonder if it will change - doubt it?— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 13, 2016
Well clearly the New York Times made the list.
By the way Trump lied, the Times did not apologize.
Personally I think the New York Times did an amazing job of covering Trump, and I have little doubt that now that he has "won" the presidency that the Times will see its subscribers grow as more and more people worry about what he will do while in office.Letter to NYT readers from Arthur Sulzberger Jr. and Dean Baquet pic.twitter.com/jORqzx3BA9— Sydney Ember (@melbournecoal) November 11, 2016
In fact I just subscribed myself.
And his latest tweet is some public ego stroking - he's obviously in a dither -
ReplyDelete"The debates, especially the second and third, plus speeches and intensity of the large rallies, plus OUR GREAT SUPPORTERS, gave us the win!"
There is some kind of inherent instability in his character/psychological make up and "winning" hasn't altered it no matter how often he says he'll get himself under control and be "presidential" or whatever.
Trump is not only the most unqualified uninformed inexperienced person ever elected to public office, he is also the most secretive about his finances and dealings. Add to that the fact that he is also the oldest person ever elected and he's been highly secretive about his medical history as well (other than the BS medical report he revealed on Dr. Oz citing his high testosterone levels LOL).
I hope he has a major heart attack or stroke and we never hear from him again! Can't believe I'm saying this, but I do mean it!
DeleteCannot abide him...there is nothing redeeming about him....he's sick mentally and physically (obese body due to zero physical activity - watch him just do the function of walking!).
He will be a horrible leader of our country. He's ill equipped for the position which is being shown on a daily basis as it was throughout his campaign. He lost all three debates too, which should tell everyone something! He's poorly spoken and doesn't read from all reports. He watches TV to get his news and scope on things. If that truly isn't frightening to everyone it should be.
Media has shown itself not to be truthful when talking about Trump - most especially FOX and CNN! Trump watches FOX because it puts glowing reports out there about him on a 24 hour cycle!
Prepare to figure out how you can help care for your minority friends, your Muslim ones as well as those that are in your home (or outside of it) that are gay!
They are going to need us under the dictatorship of Trump! He is going to create havoc within America. Be prepared!

ReplyDeleteFrom the quote of Trump's first tweet: Wow, the @nytimes is losing thousands of subscribers …
ReplyDeleteSince the Times is reporting an increase in subscriptions, Trump is obviously just pulling this unsupported claim out of his … face.

There's no apology in the letter—the same comment applies.

ReplyDelete.... “President-elect Trump, as you assume the nation’s highest office, we urge you to reconsider and change course on certain campaign promises you have made. ReplyDeleteFrankly I do not feel any pity for the NYTimes. Throughout the campaign there were multiple articles daily about Trump; rarely a word about Hillary Clinton's campaign except to report that there were emails clouding her every step. Granted the NYTimes endorsed Hillary Clinton but, other than that, they gave her little support. Paul Krugman and the occasional oped piece that put forth her views on the issues or criticized Trump's views. Otherwise, their articles articles that mentioned Hillary Clinton also mentioned brought up the emails or the notion that people did not think she was trustworthy. The Times' publisher is likely worried that they'll lose advertising revenue from Trump's company. I think they lost subscriptions from Democrats who, like us, were tired of their lackluster reporting, especially with regard to the Comey stunt when the paper opted to rant about emails instead of investigating the ties between Putin's regime and the Trump campaign. In the paper it was referred to as "much ado about nothing."
ReplyDeleteBeaglemom
The New York Times also published lies about Hillary Clinton very early in her campaign and deliberately let them stand for weeks before retraction.
DeleteThe New York Times also censored Andrea Fay Freeman when she responded to the bullying personal attack on her by Sarah Palin and her family.
The editors of the New York Times can go to hell.
The newspaper is obviously doing something right because they are constantly getting under Trump's skin. I've already subscribed to them via the mail!

POLITICO:
Reid spokesman: Trump 'always used threats and intimidation'
By REBECCA MORIN 11/13/16 02:34 PM EST
Several hours after Donald Trump's campaign manager warned Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid to be careful "in a legal sense" after he released a statement calling the president-elect a "sexual predator," Reid's spokesman criticized Trump for trying to "silence his critics with the threat of legal action."
“It only took five days for President-elect Trump to try to silence his critics with the threat of legal action. This should shock and concern all Americans," Adam Jentleson, Reid's deputy chief of staff, said in a statement released Sunday...

Say it again, Harry Reid! "Donald Trump is a self-declared sexual predator!" Words from his own mouth. They'd lose a law suit in a heart beat. There is way too much video out there that would prove your point!

"Still, Mrs. Clinton’s instinct to shun any personal responsibility angered some Democrats. Several donors on the call, while deeply bitter about Mr. Comey’s actions, said they believed that Mrs. Clinton and her campaign had suffered avoidable missteps that handed the election to an unacceptable opponent. They pointed to the campaign’s lack of a compelling message for white working-class voters and to decisions years ago by Mrs. Clinton to use a private email address at the State Department and to accept millions of dollars for speeches to Wall Street.

ANOTHER USELESS THREAT
WHEN TRUMP BECOMES PRESIDENT, HE THREATENS TO REVISE THE FIRST AMENDMENT LIBEL LAWS SO HE COULD SUE THE MEDIA (New York Times & Washington Post)
FRIDAY, FEB 26, 2016 12:39 PM PST
“We’re gonna have people suing you like you’ve never been sued before”: Trump threatens NYT, WaPo and the First Amendment
.... After accepting Christie’s endorsement and mocking Rubio by flinging water all over the stage (a la the Senator’s infamous 2013 SOTU-response gaffe), Trump took an ill-advised (for anyone else) swing at the First Amendment — more specifically libel laws, which he promised to “open up” as president.
“So that when The [failing] New York Times writes a hit piece … we can sue them and win money instead of having no chance of winning because they’re totally protected,” Trump told rallygoers. “With me, they’re not protected, because I’m not like other people … I’m not taking their money.”
Finally, Trump addressed The New York Times and Washington Post directly, “We’re gonna have people suing you like you’ve never been sued before.”...

Sarah Palin’s family lawyer has told Crown Publishing Group (CPG) she may sue the company for “knowingly publishing false statements” in a controversial book recently published on the ex-Alaska Governor.
In a letter to the publisher – obtained by ABC News – attorney John Tiemessen warns that Palin is considering launching the lawsuits over damning allegations in the much-publicized biography that she used cocaine and had extra-marital affairs. Tiemessen instructs the company to keep any emails or records related to the book, called The Rogue: Searching for the Real Sarah Palin, and its veteran author, Joe McGinniss.
