Former campaign manager confirms that James Comey letter helped Donald Trump win election.

Courtesy of The Telegraph:

Corey Lewandowski, who is expected to be offered a key position in the Trump administration, described the move as "amazing" and said it gave the Republican candidate the "spring in his step" he needed to win the race.

"With eleven days to go, something amazing happened," Mr Lewandowski said in a speech at the Oxford Union debating society on Wednesday evening.

"The FBI's director James [Comey] came out on a Friday and he said they may be reopening the investigation into Crooked Hillary's emails.

"What that did was remind people that there are two different rules in Washington - those of the elites, and the privileged and those for everybody else. (Actually what it did was to reinforce voter concerns that Hillary would be indicted, when that was never going to happen.)

"When Comey moved forward with that investigation... it allowed the campaign a little spring in their step, and for them to redouble their efforts."

So now we have the Clinton campaign and the Trump campaign essentially in agreement that James Comey helped steal this election from Hillary Clinton.

In my opinion this entire Trump "victory" is a sham that should be discounted entirely.

However I don't think we have a mechanism in place to do that, plus ANYTHING the Democrats do in response to all of this will be seen as a partisan attack and be dismissed by the media and the majority of Americans completely.

I think we are stuck with this outcome, and no petition or attempt to dismantle the electoral college is going to change that.

I refuse to watch CNN now - they're hiring of Lewandowski while he was still on the Trump payroll and OBVIOUSLY a Trump surrogate was disgusting. Zero credibility news network but not for the reasons Trump so often cited during his campaign (e.g. Clinton News Network).

Yes. And it was known that he was constantly in touch with Trump, was basically working for Trump for free--and would get paid back after the election if Trump won, and I bet Trump would have found him a good-paying job in his biz if he'd lost.

I know it's the usual to just mock anyone on this site who stands by a certain candidate or who is a Dem but says something even slightly complimentary about a Repub, but I am going to say that I'm in shock that Trump finally has a candidate who fits a role and could do the job: Romney as Sec. of State. When I heard this morn that his name had been brought up and he'd be going to the satanic inferno in NYC for a meeting, I immediately thought that it would be a decent pick for SOS, if that's why he was going. Trump's choices are almost all lower tier. And many good candidates have no interest in being part of his admin. He'd like to have Haley to kill a few birds with one stone--woman, minority, considered a moderate--but she has no experience and she will be way over her head if he picks her. Romney, for all that I don't like about him, would work. And his physical presence and demeanor would have a positive effect. Much of me wishes he'd not have accepted an invite, but I do think it's Trump's first halfway intelligent decision.

  43. It gets better.

Designers are starting to refuse to work with the First Lady.

I'm sure there's some right wing conservative nut job designer who would be more than happy for the publicity. That is if Melanoma wears anything besides Ivanka's brand. (For which she will get hateful push back for shilling for her step-daughter.) I'm sure Ivanka is drooling over being the exclusive designer for the First Lady. What free publicity and an economic boom to the family business!

Conflict schmonflict. There's money to be made!
