It appears that Sarah Palin and her ghostwriter have a new gig.

Courtesy of the Young Conservatives:

“When you’re up to your eyeballs in alligators, it’s hard to see how to drain the swamp.”

Thanksgiving 2016 – could we be more blessed than we are with America’s opportunity and optimism to recapture her exceptionalism? Be thankful! (Yeah try keeping your breakfast down after reading that!)

And vigilant.

Word of caution to our competent, exciting, “for-such-a-time-as-this” new President who will let the people make America great again: in draining the swamp one must not create a new swamp. (It looks like Palin's new ghostwriter may be a first year English Major.)

Opponents who did everything in their power to destroy the people’s Trump Movement (The "people's Trump Movement?" Isn't that kind of like "The People's Republic of China?"), now scrambling to hop aboard, can allow us to be even more thankful once we hear how they would keep our train barreling toward new, fresh, ethical, non-political grounds to make America great again. How will they serve the mission – once vigorously opposed – well? (And not a very good English Major.)

What changed between the campaign they overtly or covertly sought to decimate, and today’s transition team assembly? Voters believe our winning candidate is the same man, with the same plans, same character… they did not like any of it then, so we must ask: have you changed? Or has he?

Those few of us who’ve served in office (However briefly.), having experienced this political phenomenon watching chameleons in self-preservation mode do their thing ("Do their thing?"), learned lots of lessons. Take it from us. Heaven forbid the same lessons be re-learned in this higher office as a result of sidling-up politicos who’d get President-elect Trump off-message. There just isn’t time. And we can’t take more betrayal. (Okay I actually think this new ghostwriter might be a college dropout. Or else at some point Palin pushed her aside and started just typing this herself.)

Thank God, literally, we’ll have a leader strong enough to withstand the wiles inherent in government. And thank God our eyes are open to threats against the promised drained swamp.

As Trump discerningly creates his political circle, be vigilant so the new team succeeds for we the people. Be courageous in staying ahead of threats sensed, and call them out. That’s our job, for such a time as this.

Sarah Palin

I have to admit it took me probably longer than it should have to stop giggling about the idea of Sarah Palin writing for the "Young Conservatives."

They must be awfully hard up for contributors.

AND they must not have seen a recent picture of her.

What? I'm still young.
However on the plus side it looks like Palin has a fallback position now that she knows she is not on Trump's short list for his cabinet.

Yep now she can leave the constraints of Facebook and allow her incomprehensible word salad to flow through the pages of some news outlet that I have never even fucking heard of before.

Seriously, the Young Conservatives?

That sounds like some kind of Alt Right rock band which shows up to gigs in three piece suits and Oliver North haircuts.

And how is it possible that with Stephen Bannon as Trump's chief propagandist that she cannot get a writing job at Breitbart?

Or do they require basic writing skills and at least some comprehension of the English language?

      25th Amendment
      Amendment XXV

      Section 1.

In case of the removal of the President from office or of his death or resignation, the Vice President shall become President.

      Section 2.

Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress.

      Section 3.

Whenever the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that he is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, and until he transmits to them a written declaration to the contrary, such powers and duties shall be discharged by the Vice President as Acting President.

      Section 4.

Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.

    Questions for Sarah!

Where is Trig's birth certificate? (Will he be deported?)

Why did you quit on July 3, 2009? (Does Donald Trump know the real reason, and does that have anything to do with why you aren't going to be in his cabinet?)

" "The GW Bridge, he knew about it,” Trump said during a speech in Mount Pleasant, S.C., of Christie’s involvement in the scandal, which has been dubbed “Bridgegate.”

“How do you have breakfast with people everyday of your lives. … They’re closing up the largest bridge in the world … they’re with them all the time,” Trump continued. “They never said ‘Hey boss, we’re closing up the George Washington Bridge.’ No, they’re talking about the weather right? So he knew about it. … He totally knew about it.”" (http://thehill.com/policy/transportation/262394-trump-christie-totally-knew-about-bridgegate)

What does Donald Trump know about Sarah Palin?

That Sarah Palin was for the Bridge to Nowhere (the one on Gravina Island to be exact) before she was against it?

That Sarah Palin was a director of the Ted Stevens 527 "Ted Stevens Excellence in Public Service, Inc.," (Palin and Exvellence in the same sentence = lol!) back when it was first formed in 2003?

Or does Donald Trump know something else about Sarah Palin and the people she used to pal around with? Good thing there haven't been any more guns and weapons arrests!

She has no concept of writing for an audience. No young person is going to relate to that shit salad of hers. Few people at the site who read what else is there will even bother reading through it.

It's always about her need to vent in her densely packed way with its awkward sentence constructions and ever-mixing metaphors and tossing in of big words meant to impress that she isn't truly comfortable with. The result is muddled and boring prose. She tries and tries to write in a way that is alive and exciting, but it bores.

It bores everyone, including people who think like she does. Anyone who has taken Comp 101 learns not to do the things she does every time.

My 15 yr old and I were talking about gender the other day. Patriarchy as caused a ton of problems. Literally everything traces back to it. The "kids being seen and not heard generation" of the 40s/50s are part of that, when men came home angry, screamed at kids to stay the fuck away from him, and poured a drink.

We both agree, as many others have, that the day the world can start being a nicer place will come as soon as patriarch falls. Women need to stop taking men's names. Couples need to give kids both names (or more men need to honor the women's surname.)

It needs to happen in a large enough way so men's egos and bullshit implodes. Men need FAR less power.

There is definitely too much testosterone in America, and apparently men can't get enough of the Big T supplements now.

The Patriarchy that spread all over Europe and beyond came out of central Asia and led to the downfall of Neolithic civilizations, dominated by the female.

I'm an old lady now with time to observe and contemplate our current situation. We are in the grips of testosterone driven old white men who are anxious about losing their power, prowess, sexuality.

Trump epitomizes this white male dominated society, and his avid supporters are of the same. We, as women, must be vigilant and act according to our own health and happiness.

It kills me how all these people stand against common core. They fight against a basic outline for standards that everyone must meet--if any of Trump's kids had gone to a school that didn't have such an outline for a curriculum, he'd not have let them attend those schools. And they are all for vouchers to charter and private schools that can be just as lacking as a public school but, oh, they want that ability to opt out of being taught science and sex ed and to embrace creationism. They can use our damn tax dollars for this voucher thing. No one for vouchers ever does a damn thing to help the public schools. I don't care how involved this DeVos has been--her ideas have sucked. Good article on it at Huffpo, too.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/hillary-clinton-challenge-election-results_us_5834e3a6e4b000af95ed3a34?section=us_politics

"A group of computer scientists and election lawyers are urging Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton to demand a manual recount of ballots, saying they noticed some statistical irregularities in key swing states.

    J. Alex Halderman, a computer scientist, noted that U.S. voting machines have “have serious cybersecurity problems” that open them up to hacking. He emphasized that there’s currently no evidence that machines in key swing states that went to Trump were hacked, but that it’s necessary to examine physical evidence to make sure they were not."

"New York magazine’s Gabriel Sherman previously reported that the activists said electronic voting systems in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania produced discrepancies that hurt Clinton.

The academics presented findings showing that in Wisconsin, Clinton received 7 percent fewer votes in counties that relied on electronic-voting machines compared with counties that used optical scanners and paper ballots. Based on this statistical analysis, Clinton may have been denied as many as 30,000 votes; she lost Wisconsin by 27,000."

And in an the enemy of my enemy is my friend, Jill Stein is in a position to challenge the votes and demand a recount in the three states Hillary needs. Clinton won't do it so Stein is stepping up.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/jill-stein-election-recount_us_5835e45be4b09b6055fffc64

"Green Party presidential nominee Jill Stein is pushing for vote recounts in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania, three traditionally Democratic states where Donald Trump did much better than expected on Nov. 8.

Trump pulled off historic upsets that night in Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. Michigan has yet to be called, but he is projected to win there as well.

Stein’s press director made the announcement in a Facebook livestream on Wednesday afternoon. Her campaign is now accepting donations for the effort and calling on supporters to provide $2 million by Friday afternoon. Its statement references “compelling evidence of voting anomalies” and “significant discrepancies in vote totals” in the three states.

The news comes days ahead of the states’ deadlines to file recount requests. Wisconsin’s deadline is Friday; Pennsylvania’s is Monday and Michigan’s is Wednesday, Nov. 30.

Stein’s call follows a Tuesday night report in New York magazine saying a group of election lawyers and computer scientists have contacted Hillary Clinton’s team to advocate for a recount of the votes in those states."

(Do I think a recount will give Hillary those three states? No. Do I think it will show anomalies? Yes. Do I think they can prove voter tampering? Maybe. But it won't matter. In an election tainted with Russian hackers and FBI interference, if that doesn't force this election to be declared a fraud, these recounts and even proof of tampering in three states aren't going to do it either. We are going to be stuck with Drumpf and the Republicans will simply improve their methods for 2020.)

  33. First, I have read more pieces recently about why we shouldn't use the term "Alt Right." This from Think Progress:http://www.dailykos.com/story/2016/11/22/1603206/-Think-Progress-Will-No-Longer-Use-The-Term-Alt-Right-We-Shouldn-t-Either

Second, I know someone who sounds a lot like this lunatic so when I read her crazed word salad I can usually understand the rambling. But this "Young Conservative" piece is so over the top that rereading it several times for content makes me dizzy. WTF?!

I couldn't get past the first sentence.

How's that swampy changy thing goin' for you Sarah? All the lobbyists, cronies, Wall St and Washington insiders chosen by Herr trump?

The only person that he could chose that would actual be an outsider would be Sarah.
