Major online advertisement service blacklists Breitbart for hate speech and inciting violence.

Courtesy of BBC:

A leading ad exchange has blacklisted Breitbart News, which until recently was run by one of US President-elect Donald Trump's closest advisers.

AppNexus said it would no longer allow Breitbart to sell ad space via its platform, after determining that the site had broken its code on hate speech and incitement to violence.

Of course Breitbart argues that this is unfair and that they "condemn racism and bigotry in any form."

To which AppNexus replied:

But a spokesman said a "human audit" of Breitbart had flagged several articles that had caused it concern because of the language they had featured.

"We use a number of third-party standards to determine what is and isn't hate speech, and if we detect a pattern of speech that could incite violence or discrimination against a minority group, we determine that to be non-compliant and we simply won't serve ads against it," AppNexus's spokesman Joshua Zeitz told the BBC.

"I'm not going to put the examples out there because I'm not going to engage in a tit-for-tat on what is compliant."

If anybody needs examples of Beitbart "condemning racism and bigotry" there are plenty of example available besides the ones provided at the top by  George Takei:

'The solution to online 'harassment' is simple: Women should log off'

'Bill Kristol: Republican spoiler, renegade Jew'

'Trannies whine about hilarious Bruce Jenner billboard'

'Suck it up buttercups: Dangerous Faggot Tour returns to colleges in September'

'Hoist it high and proud: The Confederate flag proclaims a glorious heritage'

'Gay rights have made us dumber, it's time to get back in the closet'

'Science proves it: Fat-shaming works'

"There's no hiring bias against women in tech, they just suck at interviews"

Boy their fight against racism and bigotry is just breathtaking don't you think?

I keep seeing families with 3+ kids and single-parent homes to be hurt by T's tax plan, not as bad as hillary's though.

As we hear Sarah breathing relief she's only had 2 dependents since 2012. And she only had 3 from 2009-2012.

My brother and I were discussing this new tax plan yesterday, and while I feel good about it he feels guilty because we'll both be enjoying max tax breaks and no way in hell did we vote for Trump.

I just told him to be okay with it because, well, unintended consequences, but he feels so bad that he's giving a bunch of money to charities this holiday. He got the conscience in our family I guess, bless his heart ;-)

your attempts to weave sarah into every thread has gotten to be pathetic as is your understanding of trumps tax plan.

We can't "hear" sarah breathing, she lives to far away nor can we "see" families with....

  3. Excellent.

Sometimes the only way to cut them off is to starve them to death. These hate sites feed on money.

So the Facebook Fake News won't be able to link to Breitbart. One by one, more Nazi sites will follow.

I guess if Zuckerberg can't follow through, the free market can.

I would hope after their dressing down the major networks and talent would also stop sugar coating the Drumpf administration and start to play hardball. But if the Times is any indication, they are going to roll over just like the Democrats.

AppNexus makes me hope there is still integrity and courage in the world.

House Conservatives Signal Donald Trump Won’t Have A Blank Check

Trump is about to find out how Washington works. Or doesn’t work.

...“If Trump doesn’t find a way to pay for it, then I think the majority of us ― if not all of us ― are going to vote against it,” Rep. Raul Labrador (R-Idaho) said, speaking of Trump’s yet-to-be proposed, potentially trillion-dollar infrastructure bill.

“He’s going to have to come here with some proposals,” Labrador said last week. “And we’re going to agree with some proposals; we’re going to disagree with other proposals.”

Echoes of 1930s Germany and 1950s McCarthyism abound as Trump builds his authoritarian presidency

...America under Donald Trump is entering an uncharted authoritarian era. Whether apt historical precedents are in the first months of Hitler’s rule in 1933 in Germany or closer to the 1950s anti-Communist witch hunts led by Sen. Joseph McCarthy, remains to be seen. But there are myriad events everyone is seeing and unfolding behind closed doors that are forming a prologue to Trump’s authoritarian rule.

Looking backward, people always ask if the course of history could have been changed. Many people would like to dismiss some of the recent events as bad dreams that will vanish if ignored, like last weekend’s neo-Nazi rally in a federal office complex in the capitol; like Trump taking to Twitter to denounce the cast of the musical, Hamilton, for openly imploring Vice-President-elect Mike Pence, who was in attendance, to honor America’s diversity.

But that becomes harder to do when the president-elect is appointing scarily intolerant propagandists and warmongers to top White House posts. It looks like Trump is posed to deport millions of migrants, roll back civil rights and go after his critics, by appointing race-baiting propagandist Steve Bannon as a top adviser; Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions as Attorney General; and Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn as top national security adviser, a man who supports racial profiling and repeats the lie that Islamic law is spreading across America. Trump seems to be relishing his unfolding role as an American strongman, as evidenced by his Sunday tweet: “General James ‘Mad Dog’ Mattis, who is being considered for Secretary of Defense, was very impressive yesterday. A true General’s General!”

The question is how far Trump will go to achieve his objectives at home and abroad, including putting the country on a path toward war. Historic comparisons are both useful and imprecise.

      http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/burrowing-democrats-trump-administration_us_5835e3b0e4b000af95eda5a1?section=us_politics

"There used to be a time when the big fear of homeland security officials was Soviet moles infiltrating American institutions. Now it appears to be that Democrats may be “burrowing’ into the Donald Trump-led government.

At least, that’s the concern of Rep. Mike McCaul (R-Texas), chairman of the House Homeland Security Committee, who sent a letter Wednesday to Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson seeking to purge President Barack Obama’s appointees.

“Concerns exist that Department of Homeland Security (DHS) non-career positions might be ‘converted’ to career positions,” McCaul wrote. “Known as ‘burrowing,’ this practice can damage trust with a new Administration and undermine its new priorities.”

As evidence for concern, McCaul points to two such conversions at DHS agencies in the Obama administration. He also notes a Government Accountability Office study that documented 139 conversions, including 17 at DHS. Those conversions, however, came in the final years of the Bush administration, when Republican appointees became permanent employees in the incoming Democratic administration."

CAUGHT ON CAMERA: Trump Supporter Goes RABID Against Hillary Supporters On Flight (VIDEO)
There definitely seems to be a new sense of entitlement among Donald Trump supporters now that he won the Electoral College count in the presidential election. They can’t exactly say he won via popular support seeing as Hillary Clinton currently leads by over 2 million votes.

However, these Trump supporting bullies are out there nonetheless, with seemingly a permission slip from the new bully-in-chief-elect, to be as awful to others as they want to be. After all, Trump was a bully to pretty much everyone and still won the election.

One of the most recent examples of this bullying behavior was caught on camera.

    1. If the electoral college doesn't do it's intended job, which is to prevent a minority of stupid voters from seating a tyrannical madman, then there is no reason to even have an electoral college.

Without an electoral college, the office would go to the winner of the popular vote: Hillary Clinton. Clinton also happens to be the most qualified.

If the electoral college is just going to be a default rubber stamp, they have no purpose. They're not protecting us from poor, uninformed decisions.

"The only defense of the Electoral College that makes any sense is the one the Founders offered—as an independent body capable of conscientiously preventing the majority of voters from doing something stupid. But never in history has the Electoral College actually served this function.

Now, in 2016, if the Electoral College wants to demonstrate its value, it can act as an independent body to conscientiously prevent the geographically-dispersed minority from doing something stupid. If it fails to do so—if the Electoral College can’t even protect us from the minority of voters choosing a terrible candidate for president—then what good is it? Why on earth should we keep it?"

Imagine you’re one of those folks who went to Trump rallies and thrilled to his promises to take America back from the establishment, who felt your heart stir as he promised to torture prisoners, who got your “Trump That Bitch” T-shirt, who was overjoyed to finally have a candidate who tells it like it is. What are you thinking as you watch this?

If you have any sense, you’re coming to the realization that it was all a scam. You got played. While you were chanting “Lock her up!” he was laughing at you for being so gullible. While you were dreaming about how you’d have an advocate in the Oval Office, he was dreaming about how he could use it to make himself richer. He hasn’t even taken office yet and everything he told you is already being revealed as a lie.

Remember Jim DeMint? His Fingerprints Are All Over the Trump Transition

Up until now it has probably been safe to say that DeMint had turned Heritage into a bulwark of what one might call the Ted Cruz brand of militant movement conservatism. But Heritage’s fingerprints are all over the Trump transition operation, per Politico:

    2. Good luck with that.

      https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-just-chose-his-top-white-house-lawyer-he-may-have-a-busy-job-201336934.html

"President-elect Donald Trump announced Friday that he had picked election lawyer Donald McGahn, a former chairman of the Federal Election Commission, to be his White House counsel.

White House counsel is usually an under-the-radar position in an administration, but Trump is bringing an unprecedented tangle of ongoing legal matters and potential conflicts of interest with him to the White House.

McGahn’s selection is not a surprise. He was reportedly the leading contender for the role and previously worked for Trump’s campaign and transition team."

He's dealing with Drumpf's 75 current lawsuits, all of the conflicts of interest, plus counseling Drumpf to avoid emoluments that could lead to impeachment.

What do you want to bet this lawyer will tell Drumpf he can do anything he wants because he's the president and the House and Senate are majority Republican. So no danger he'll be impeached even if he does break any laws.

“As far as the, you know, potential conflict of interests, though, I mean I know that from the standpoint, the law is totally on my side, meaning, the president can’t have a conflict of interest,” he told the Times this week. “That’s been reported very widely. Despite that, I don’t want there to be a conflict of interest anyway.”

Yeah, good luck with that. You better have a shitload of Constitutional lawyers on staff.

With Bannon now being Drumpf's chief strategist, I have to wonder if he isn't lobbying for her to get some sort of bone thrown to her from his administration. I suppose it will be a Romney situation with how many of Drumpf's other advisors will bad mouth her and stab her in the back. I'm not sure even Drumpf knows how incredibly stupid Palin is, but I'm sure Kellyanne Conway does.
