NSA chief states unequivocally that Wikileaks helped "a nation state" influence the presidential election.

Courtesy of Quartz:

The head of the US’s National Security Agency said Nov. 15 that a “nation-state” consciously targeted presidential candidate Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, in order to affect the US election.

In response to a question, Michael S. Rogers, a Naval officer and NSA director since 2014, said on stage at a Wall Street Journal conference that Wikileaks was furthering a nation-state’s goals by publishing hacked emails from the Democratic National Committee and Clinton’s presidential campaign weeks ahead of the election.

“There shouldn’t be any doubt in anybody’s minds, this was not something that was done casually, this was not something that was done by chance, this was not a target that was selected purely arbitrarily. This was a conscious effort by a nation-state to attempt to achieve a specific effect,” he said.

Rogers did not name the nation-state in question, nor elaborate on the effect it sought, but he didn’t have to.

This, this is what we should all be focusing on right now.

Donald Trump did NOT win this election.

He allowed, or perhaps encouraged, the Russian government and Wikileaks to steal it for him.

Not only that but for reasons which are currently a little fuzzy right now, the FBI also participated in this, let's face it, act of cyber terrorism.

Now the only question remaining is what are we going to do about it?

If you mean the foreign influence on elections... sorry, but Karma's a bitch. I know it doesn't make it right, but ffs the US has been doing it for years in order to elect leaders in the middle east and beyond who were friendly to US interests.

Only difference was this time we were on the receiving end, and it was also against Russia.

They've certainly managed to destabilize our country with this little gambit. Can we please stop giving them what they want, take it on the chin, and pull our country together?

Yeah, Trump's a disaster waiting to happen, but contesting the election results is a disaster that *is* happening and it breaks my heart to see my party do this. We were supposed to be the mature ones, the ones that followed the Obama's lead and showed how class and grace was done.

AP's vote count updated at 6:26 PM is still more than 2 million votes lower votes than at Cook Report. Why would their information be different? Wasserman doesn't show us his equations, but I'm wondering if his spreadsheet is showing a sum of counted votes plus an estimate of the split of the estimated outstanding votes, not the actual current vote total i.e. a running projection, not the real-time vote count. Because the truth matters.

Perhaps the AP has some sort of guarantee from- or 'special relationship' with- the Trump camp. Perhaps Putin is also involved. Perhaps that's where the misinformation will come from.

Rep. Elijah Cummings (D-MD) is demanding answers after President-elect Donald Trump tried to jeopardize America’s biggest secrets by taking his son in law, who lacks national security clearance, into the President’s Daily Briefing.

In a letter to vice president-elect Mike Pence, Rep. Cummings wrote:

      cummings-trump-letter

As the Congressman said, Trump is very cavalier about who should have access to the nation’s secrets. It is common sense that even a child can understand. People who do not have security clearance should not be sitting in on the president’s daily briefing. President-elect Trump is already making decisions that are jeopardizing national security.

I can absolutely picture a foreign state (particularly one that plays games with the concept of democracy at home) strategizing ways to influence the outcome. Hmmm. Let me count the ways:

    1. Plant lots of "disinformation" all over the net so people do not trust the normal journalistic channels.

    2. Have an army of paid folks trolling social media so they sound like just plain folks supporting and reinforcing the viability of your candidate. (Hey, the internet is international, so you can easily do this from home! - did you see those Samantha Bee interviews from Russia?)

    3. Hack into the email servers for the opposition. Even if you don't find anything useful, make threatening suggestions that you have and then time the release to maximize the impact. When you release, make sure it's tons of stuff, so no average person could have the time to wade through it. You know the media will scour through it looking for sensational headlines - it's what they do best. Even if they write reasonable articles, the headlines are all that will stick with lots of people.

    4. Get the FBI (not sure how they did this one, but it smells) to issue a letter suggesting all that innuendo about the opposition being a crook might be real. Do this late in the campaign so it will shock the opposition, reinforce the negative view and then leave little time for a turn around.

    5. Pick a few key states. The Electoral College means you don't have to target many. Forget those where the opposition is obviously going to win by a huge margin. You just need a few - like Ohio, North Carolina, Michigan, Florida. Play some games with the results there. If they have computer voting, all the better. REMEMBER, those with computer voting don't really have a way to do a recount, so it would be fairly easy to hide. (Read this article for some ideas about where this might have happened): http://www.rawstory.com/2016/11/something-stinks-when-exit-polls-and-official-counts-dont-match/

Of course, you can count on all the usual Republican tricks to help you too. I mean the voter suppression laws, the gerrymandering, etc.

And the Democrats played right into it as well. They decided to try to focus on getting their policies out there and did not do much to respond to the attacks on the integrity of their candidate. When all the "misinformation" was being spread, they did not scream loudly that it was NOT TRUE. In particular, I'll bet if you asked the average Trump voter, they would tell you that they were SURE that the following statements were true:
    - Obama was the worst president ever and had damaged the US during his term.
    - Hillary was a criminal who should be imprisoned and was clearly not an appropriate person to become the president. Not only that, she was going to be Obama part 2.
    - Donald Trump was "not a politician" and he was going to Make America Great Again.

So, there you have it. And why wouldn't they be able to do it again next time?

Ethnic Votes Stolen in Crucial States
Help Fix US Election For Trump
    Reveals Greg Palast

Veteran election investigator Greg Palast has uncovered the sickening truth. I spoke to Palast about evidence of widespread systemic election rigging, robbing black, hispanic and asian American voters of their right to vote in crucial states. – Enough votes to swing the election away from the Hillary Clinton victory predicted in polls – explaining suspicious exit polls inconsistencies – and towards a shock result for Trump and Republican victory in the Senate.

“Before a single vote was even cast, the election was already fixed by Trump operatives,” explains Palast.

Now every single liberal blog and mouthpiece is blaming anything and everything as to why Hillary lost.

The reality is, peoples votes were locked in months ago. That didn't change. The silent majority stayed silent thru it all because the vitriol from the left was just that bad, but they sure did come out to vote.

Obamacare costs. Immigration. Soft on islamic terrorism. Staaaaagnant economy no matter what you are all claiming. Syria, Russia, is there some gameplan? No leadership. Zero. And many people simply couldn't stomach having to see Hillary every day.

Democratic and Republican politicians are two sides of the same coin. Americans have been divided and conquered over social issues. Meanwhile, Corporations (Military Industrial Complex contractors, Big Banks/Pharma/Media, Silicon Valley) have taken over. Their lobbyists literally write the laws that more often-than-not are passed with bipartisan support -- this bipartisan activity isn't headline-making news, however, because there's no drama there (and Corporations want to keep everyone in the dark). Americans need to come together and move forward on solving problems that they have in common. This will require conversation and empathy. And mass movements. You know, Nixon's tenure, on paper, was one of the most, if not the most progressive in history. Yet he was Republican, a misogynist, a racist, and a bigot. But the civil rights movement, the woman's rights movement, the native-American movement, and the anti-war movement, among others, were effective in bringing about change: end of Vietnam war, start of the EPA, passing of OSHA, etc. C'mon! Read up! Get informed! Take action!

Despite Donald Trump’s panicked tweets over the past 24 hours, two things have become clear since last week’s election: 1. The Trump transition is going horribly wrong; 2. The weight of the presidency is steamrolling the president-elect, and he hasn’t even been sworn in.

A new report from Reuters on Wednesday only confirmed this reality.

According to the news agency, Trump seems to be botching his first post-election visit with a foreign leader, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, by leaving Japan’s government in a state of confusion about the meeting’s details.

    The report:

One day before U.S. President-elect Donald Trump’s first meeting with a foreign leader, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, Japanese officials said they had not finalized when or where in New York it would take place, who would be invited, or in some cases whom to call for answers.

The Clinton Campaign Was Undone By Its Own Neglect And A Touch Of Arrogance, Staffers Say

    1. "In the closing weeks of the presidential campaign, Hillary Clinton’s staff in key Midwest states sent out alarms to their headquarters in Brooklyn. They were facing a problematic shortage of paid canvassers to help turn out the vote.

For months, the Clinton campaign had banked on a wide army of volunteer organizers to help corral independents and Democratic leaners and re-energize a base not particularly enthused about the election. But they were volunteers. And as anecdotal data came back to offices in key battlegrounds, concern mounted that leadership had skimped on a critical campaign function.

“It was arrogance, arrogance that they were going to win. That this was all wrapped up,” a senior battleground state operative told The Huffington Post.

Several theories have been proffered to explain just what went wrong for the Clinton campaign in an election that virtually everyone expected the Democratic nominee to win. But lost in the discussion is a simple explanation, one that was re-emphasized to HuffPost in interviews with several high-ranking officials and state-based organizers: The Clinton campaign was harmed by its own neglect."

"Last year, Ed Mash decided to run for city council here in Nelsonville, a poor city in Ohio’s poorest county. He believed his small Appalachian town had been forgotten by the political class. Recently retired from a corrections job, he had all the time in the world to shake things up. “People aren’t listened to, there are no jobs in this town, and we’re going bankrupt,” he says. His four-word campaign slogan summed it all up: “Had Enough? I Have!”

A few weeks later, Donald Trump announced he was running for president. Mash didn’t care for the real estate mogul’s personality ― “I wouldn’t have him over for dinner,” the 54-year-old says ― but much of what the Republican candidate railed against, from NAFTA to illegal immigration to political correctness, resonated. He and Trump practically could have swapped campaign slogans. Mash backed him immediately: “He came right out with the same beliefs I had.” "

"What happened in a place like Nelsonville last week may have shocked a lot of operatives, journalists and pollsters, but it didn’t surprise locals who knocked on doors ahead of the election. That includes Lori Crook, who volunteered for Clinton. She grew up in the area, spent 20 years in New York City, then returned in 2010 and now lives in a small bungalow not far from the town square. Six days after the election, her front porch was piled high with sad-looking Clinton-Kaine signs.

“In a nutshell, her campaign here was saying, ‘You like Obama and his ideas. Then you can have more of the same,’” Crook said. “But that sold her short, and it wasn’t enough. ... They were here to reach the base and get out the vote. But there was no real attempt to have a dialogue.”

Clinton did roll out a plan to revitalize parts of Appalachia hurt by the loss of coal jobs, built on infrastructure spending, the reclamation of old mining sites and new tax credits. Like most Clinton plans, it was steeped in policy and detail. The question was whether anyone actually read or heard it. Taylor Sappington, a 25-year-old progressive who ran with Mash for council, recalled Clinton speaking about the plan when she made a campaign stop at a brewery down the road in Athens. Beyond that, he didn’t hear much about it."

The complaint is not about Hilary. It is about the deviated Republican party in general, the obstruction and destruction of America for over 20 yrs, the liars, the hacking and espionage. Honestly how do they consider themselves law and order and religious?

Electoral College will do the right thing. And the Justice dept will do the right thing. And the Federal Election Commission will do the right thing and by law and order Secretary of State and First Lady Hillary Rodham Clinton will be awarded Electoral and Popular Vote making her the First Woman President of the United States of America.
