Samantha Bee weighs in on the hiring of Stephen Bannon, and the other terrible choices Trump could be making to fill his cabinet.

Yes I realize that Ben Carson has now taken his name out of contention, but it's still funny to see him chasing after his luggage.

I almost forgot this show was on last night, and only caught it becasue I was channel surfing.

Glad I did though because Samantha Bee has a gift for putting things into perspective.

Which is important, especially since this guy is out of the picture.

The worst decision could make is not listen to Bill.

"Bill always campaigned as a guy who felt your pain, but Hillary came across as someone who was pissed off at her enemy [Trump], not someone who was reaching out and trying to make life better for the white working class."

B Clinton should know a president isn't directly responsible for a single race of people. But Hillary and Obama have both ignored how violence amongst black people and how they're not better after 8 years is a black mark on the democrats' record.

"Bill also said that many African Americans were deeply disappointed with the results of eight years of Obama," the source continued. "Despite more and more government assistance, blacks weren't economically any better off, and black-on-black crime was destroying their communities. He said Hillary should have gone into the South Side of Chicago and condemned the out-of-control violence."

Revenge is mine saith the son-in-law of the lord?

    It's getting confusing

Christie is in: Now, NBC News reports, Christie will bring “substance” and “seriousness” to the Trump campaign

But before that: "In 2005, as U.S. Attorney for the state of New Jersey, Christie successfully prosecuted Kushner’s father, Charles, for “crimes of greed, power, and excess.”

Sometime after the prosecution of Kushner's dad by Christie: "There does not seem to be any bad blood between Christie and Jared Kushner, however: In November, New Jersey awarded $93 million in tax breaks to a Kushner Companies high-rise in Jersey City."

Just months ago, Trump accused Christie of having committed a federal crime in covering up the Bridgegate scandal. Then he's back.

Then Christie is on Donald's campaign team

Then he disappears from Donald's campaign team. Who knows why?

Then he's back in. He's Donald's chairman of the transition team

    Now he has been demoted.
(Is he still on the team?)

Somewhere in there the son-in-law was added?

Coincidence, just about everybody close to Chris Christie on the Trump team has been dismissed.

If I misquoted, messed up or missed anything it is because I'm confused too.

    Gawker:
Donald Trump Appoints Chris Christie, Who Sent His Son-in-Law's Father to Prison, Chairman of Transition Committee

Biggest worry was the market and I've parked my more risky investments in low risk options. I'm only 50 and while I'm partially retired I have a good long time before social security and medicare are options for me so I'll worry about that when the time comes, as my father says you could be hit by a bus tomorrow, what's the point in worrying about things that you can't change.

This election was the catalyst that finally made me break with some toxic relatives, which feels good, although I would only see them twice a year when I go back east, those visits would inevitably devolve into political arguments.

Think for a minute about all of those groups of people who were singled out during Trump's campaign: African Americans, the disabled, illegal immigrants who are doing all the hard, "dirty work" that the rest of us don't have to do (bringing in harvests, cleaning, etc.), Muslim Americans, and on and on. Think for a minute what Pence would do to women's reproductive rights. It's not a bad thing to have some empathy.

Trump Wants Son-in-Law, the Literal Publisher of a Newspaper, to Get the Presidential Daily Briefing

The dysfunctional Trump transition of 2016 comes at you fast, in waves of willful inexperience, such that it’s hard to keep up. Ask Chris Christie. Donald Trump, president-elect of the United States of America in 2016, has indicated that he likes the idea of his family toting top-secret clearance. I mean, Donald Jr., Eric, and Ivanka, as well as son-in-law, Jared Kushner have all been named to the Trump transition team anyway so why not carve out seats for the Trump clan in the situation room while we’re at it?

Kushner’s experience inheriting lots of money, then claiming that being a New York real estate developer is a *real job,* along with his role as a publisher of a NEWSPAPER, ought to serve him well in this role that has absolutely nothing to do with either.

(CNN) Donald Trump's son-in-law and close adviser Jared Kushner is at the center of the "infighting" inside President-elect Donald Trump's transition team, multiple sources tell CNN.

Trump, however, tweeted Tuesday night that the process was "very organized."

....Former Congressman Mike Rogers said Tuesday he parted ways with Trump's transition team, removing an establishment national security voice from the planning process of the next president's cabinet.
Rogers was told Monday on the phone that he was out, according to a source familiar with the transition. The source said this was part of an effort to replace the transition team members associated with New Jersey Governor Chris Christie, who previously headed up the transition

Report: Multiple NBA teams canceling stays at Trump-owned properties

ESPN reports that several NBA teams have stopped staying at hotel properties owned by President-Elect Donald Trump and that more teams are considering making the same move. From ESPN:
At least three NBA teams have stopped staying at Donald Trump-branded hotels this season in part to avoid any implied association with the new president-elect, according to league sources.
Sources told ESPN.com that the Milwaukee Bucks, Memphis Grizzlies and Dallas Mavericks have moved away from Trump hotels in New York City and Chicago, which bear Donald Trump's name through a licensing agreement.
Sources say that another Eastern Conference team contracted to stay at the Trump SoHo in New York this season has likewise already decided to switch to a different property in Manhattan when its current contract expires at season's end and that the Trump association is among the factors for the switch.

Donald Trump’s Transition Team, Or Lack Thereof, Is Causing Real Panic

The self-proclaimed government outsider is having trouble finding people to run the government.

    ASSOCIATED PRESS
WASHINGTON ― Donald Trump’s transition team is nearing a state of stasis, causing concern among both Democrats and Republicans in Washington that his White House will be woefully ill-prepared once he is inaugurated.

The primary cause, according to multiple sources, is the revamped leadership structure at Trump’s transition offices ― the demotion of New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie from the top post and his replacement with Vice President-elect Mike Pence.

On Tuesday morning, for example, the Obama administration alerted the press that it had not yet received a memorandum of understanding signed by Pence, which would legally allow the old and new administrations to begin discussions on how to hand off critical government functions. That document still hadn’t arrived by 4:30 p.m., and only later in the evening did a White House official confirm it had been received. The official noted that the language signed by Pence was identical to a memo signed by Christie, making the holdup all the more peculiar.

..... The disarray has left agencies virtually frozen, unable to communicate with the people tasked with replacing them and their staff. Trump transition team officials were a no-show at the Pentagon, the Washington Examiner reported. Same goes for the Department of Energy, responsible for keeping the nation’s nuclear weapons safe, where officials had expected members of the Trump transition team on Monday. Ditto for the Department of Transportation. Over at the Justice Department, officials also are still waiting to hear from the Trump team.

.... The transition dysfunction extends beyond failure to promptly execute a memorandum of understanding. According to several sources close to the Trump transition team and inside the Obama administration, the president elect and his staff have had difficulty finding able-minded Republicans willing to take on critical posts. One Democratic source, who like others would only discuss sensitive talks on condition of anonymity, said transition officials had been informally asking Obama political appointees to recommend Republicans to take over their jobs....

This is just a foretaste of the farce to come.

Ivana Trump, 67, suggested in an interview with the New York Post that her former husband should appoint her as the U.S. ambassador to her home county. She said she speaks Czech and is well known in her home country — and around the world.

      Jobs for:
      Ex-wife
      Son-in-law
      Sons
      Daughter
      KKK hero
      Friends

For some reason they let go of Christie's associates (something stinks about that)

To the person who is divulging details of nasty Clinton marital fights and how Bill blames Hillary for her loss, you are scum.

People who air other's personal, temporary dramas are scum and will never be respected.

It has been maddening to hear nothing much about all of Trump's abuse and to hear no discussion about how so many women accepted all that he had done and voted for him. Nope, I don't buy the "it was about jobs" excuse for voting for the animal, and I don't accept that we all need to be quiet now. I was glad to find this essay tonight:
