CHRIS JANSING: I want to bring in Liz Wahl, former anchor for state owned TV network Russia Today, who famously quit on air because she said she didn't want to be "part of the Russian propaganda machine." Thanks so much for joining us, and you know the way that they operate there in Russia. What do you expect to hear from there going forward on all of this?
LIZ WAHL: It was interesting to hear from your correspondent over there in Moscow because this is typical. Denial is kind of a, just the way that they handle news that is damning to them. And you hear this over and over again that there is no proof. We've heard this in terms of Ukraine where Russia became increasingly bold and aggressive in foreign policy. And denial is what they do, and there were little green men in Ukraine, occupying Crimea and the war in eastern Ukraine, they said they didn't exist, and they were fueling the war in Eastern Ukraine, they said that that was not happening. And perhaps most disturbingly, the repeated targeting bombing of hospitals, humanitarian aid convoy, of the White Helmets, of civilian groups. These are all things that have been happening and simply, you just -- excuse me -- you just get denials.
This needs to be talked about as often as possible in the public forum.
It is not ONLY that Vladimir Putin selected Donald Trump to be our president.
It is also that since he "won" the election, and even before, it has become clear that Trump is openly promoting and defending Russia, even going so far as to undermine the work of our national security experts when they reveal Russia's interference in the election.
Donald Trump is clearly Putin's "useful idiot," and he is doing NOTHING to hide that fact.
When Trump has to go to the bathroom, Putin has to pull his hand out of his puppet's ass.

Just was told Lapierre and some dude drooled over Todd Palin's hunting prowess. I do remember being a bit surprised when Todd went to SD with them 5/6 years ago to hunt on new land. Though todds a serious hunter.

DeleteMichelle Obama Tells Oprah: ‘We Are Feeling What Not Having Hope Feels Like’ (Video)
ReplyDeleteFirst Lady Michelle Obama said that she is “feeling what not having hope feels like” since Donald Trump won the presidential election.
The First Lady sat down with Oprah Winfrey for an interview that will air on Monday but was previewed on “CBS This Morning.”
“We feel the difference now. See, now, we are feeling what not having hope feels like,” Obama said. “Hope is necessary. It’s a necessary concept, and Barack didn’t just talk about hope because he thought it was just a nice slogan to get votes. He and I and so many believe that. What else do you have if you don’t have hope?”

ReplyDeleteIvanka Co-President?
Ivanka Co-First Lady?
Ivanka First Daughter?
NY Post:
Ivanka is the wild card of the Trump presidency
By Maureen Callahan
December 17, 2016
It only makes sense that such an unprecedented president-elect should have an unprecedented First Daughter. And to Donald Trump, Ivanka has long been first among equals.
Of his five children, she is peerless. During a family interview with Barbara Walters last year, Eric, Donald Jr. and Tiffany Trump all said Ivanka, 35, is their father’s favorite. When asked, years ago, how he ranked Ivanka and his other daughter Tiffany, Trump said there was no contest.
“Come on!” he said. “Daddy’s little girl!”
While the media has, as it should, assiduously reported on every official Cabinet appointment made by President-elect Trump, they have yet to vet the next administration’s most significant, powerful player: Ivanka. She’s not the first woman to sub for a first lady — most notably, Teddy Roosevelt’s daughter Alice did — but none had the influence Ivanka likely will.
Forget adviser: Ivanka, now moving her family to DC, may be co-president.
“The only phone call Donald would always take,” a Trump insider told Politico last July, “was Ivanka.”
Last week, Trump’s team floated Ivanka as inhabitant of the First Lady’s office in the East Wing. Ivanka also began personally lobbying Congress on child-care legislation.
Even if Trump’s wife, Melania, hadn’t announced that she’d be staying behind in New York City to see their 10-year-old son, Barron, through the end of the school year, the campaign itself proved that Ivanka’s opinions and advice, her branding and image, were prized most highly by Donald.
....In her speech, Ivanka sanded down the image of her father as a grotesquerie who rates women on a scale of 1 to 10, who has traded in wife after wife for younger, hotter models, who once boasted that Ivanka herself was so hot that, if not for biology, he’d be dating her.
.... Here was the 35-year-old daughter of a billionaire, wife of a multimillionaire developer, glossy and groomed and convincing a huge swath of the electorate that she understood their struggles.
Yet what does Ivanka Trump really believe? In the course of a normal campaign, a candidate’s spouse comes in for public examination. They make speeches, give interviews, do the ritual “60 Minutes” appearances — because, as the unspoken truth goes, no one has more proximity to a sitting president, let alone power, than the First Spouse...

Ivanka is going to have to decide, become daddy's first lady or run daddy's companies.
DeleteMy belief is that they are going to lie, say they put the company in a blind trust but never do it and give a new meaning to pay to play trump style.
Ivanka assuming First Lady duties is downright creepy. Then again, same for Melania.
DeleteNot bitter, just fact.
I truly feel sorry for Trump's youngest daughter! He literally places her nowhere when compared to Ivanka! Talk about a demeaning, fucking asshole and won't rank #1 in fatherhood anywhere in the country!

ReplyDelete“Prepare your breakfast, and eat hearty, for tonight, we will go to battle. This isn’t 300, but 538.”
Washington Post:
In last-shot bid, thousands urge electoral college to block Trump at Monday vote
.... The role of elector has intensified this year, in the wake of a bitter election in which Trump lost the popular vote by a margin of nearly 3 million and a secret CIA assessment revealed that Russia interfered to help Trump get elected....
..... “And can you imagine if the electors overturned the results? If we attempt to change them in anyway, you’ve got these far-right elements that are just going to go haywire.”
Mark Hersch, a 60-year-old Chicago-based marketing strategist, joined a group known as the Hamilton Electors, who have been organizing efforts to contact electors and change their minds. Before the election, Hersch said, the most political activism he had ever undertaken was planting a yard sign.
He said he believes the goal to deny Trump seems reachable if not probable. Rather than persuade an entire country, he and his allies must find 37 Republicans willing to vote for someone else, a tipping point at which the responsibility of picking the president would shift to the U.S. House of Representatives. No one knows for sure how many are considering alternate votes; estimates vary from one to 25.
The GOP-controlled House could vote for Trump anyway, but those trying to flip voters say there is still value in taking a stand. Hersch said he was inspired to continue to flip electors by the movie “300,” which depicts ancient Sparta’s war against a Persian army that outnumbered them 1,000 to one.
“I would like to think we would be successful, but if not, we need to do all we could to prevent this man from being president,” he said. Then he modified a line from the movie: “Prepare your breakfast, and eat hearty, for tonight, we will go to battle. This isn’t 300, but 538.”...
....The electoral college, he said he tells them, was “not intended to be a rubber stamp.” Otherwise, he said, the Founding Fathers would have tasked the responsibility to a clerk or simply used the popular vote as a way of choosing a president.
“I’m reminding them of their duty to think about their choice in a way that’s consistent with their conscience and the Constitution,” Lyman said.
So far, Lyman said, he has identified 20 electors who might be willing to vote “other than their party pledge.” He couldn’t name more than one publicly but insisted that more were out there....
....Vinz Koller, a Democratic elector from Monterey County, Calif., said he read Suprun’s column and started thinking about his own role in the college. It inspired him to support a new theory: If he could persuade other Democrats to abandon their Clinton votes, perhaps he and Republicans could agree on a more conventional choice — a la Ohio governor and failed candidate John Kasich — to vote for over Trump....

Trump Keeps It up on China and Drone, Says U.S. Should Refuse
President-elect Donald Trump continued to use social media to poke at China Saturday, saying on Twitter that the U.S. should refuse to take a drone seized in international waters after the Communist country agreed to return it.
"We should tell China that we don't want the drone they stole back. — let them keep it!" Trump said on Twitter Saturday night.
Trump's Tweet came after China's defense ministry said it agreed to return the drone, which was taken Thursday in the South China Sea, and after the Pentagon said it had secured the agreement "through direct engagement with Chinese authorities."
Earlier Saturday, before China's defense ministry announced it was returning the U.S. Navy Ocean Glider Unmanned Underwater Vehicle, Trump accused China of stealing the unmanned vehicle, calling the move "unprecedented."...
Trump communications director Jason Miller credited the president-elect with China's decision to return the vehicle, saying on Twitter that Trump "gets it done" — but there was no evidence presented or claim made that Trump did anything besides Tweet about the seizure.
It's often easy to put yourself in someone's shoes to gain compassion and see a different side. Rational do it with bristol when she's openly said she doesn't comprehend the "slut mentality" nor understand people who have casual sex and why that's fulfilling. That goes hand in hand with not understanding how people act so irresponsibly to necessitate the need for an abortion. She just has zero relatability to "free love." Same goes for people who can't see how stupid the Russia obsession is. I know obama has sounded out of his depth and lost. But he definitely knows there's no there there with Russia. And if Hillary blames a third party and not herself one more time, she will prove to be unfit for any public service position. Hillary, be like Sarah. Take responsibility and be a woman.
ReplyDeleteHey don't be fooled by the mentally ill baboon. Russia, China, North Korea and a few other communist countries and dictators are trump crow buddies. How to stir the pot of chaos? Trump owes these bullies money and America is the payment for now. UNLESS. Unless the safety net is exercised tomorrow, if not? take a look at all electoral voters because they are also involved and then Americans must fight to take back the country from communist invaders and Russian sympathizers. Treason and Espionage charges pending.
