Historically civil debate between opposing presidential campaigns devolves into verbal food fight.

Here is more courtesy of The Daily Beast:

The intention of the panel, moderated by journalists including BuzzFeed’s Katherine Miller and MSNBC anchor Andrea Mitchell, was to gather six senior members of Team Hillary and six from the Trump camp, have them sit directly across the room facing one another, and have a calm, collected conversation about the behind-the-scenes moments of the 2016 race.

Instead, the moderators had trouble even keeping the panelists focused on the questions at hand, because the two sides would not stop sniping at and taunting their political rivals during the event.

“I would rather lose than win the way you guys did!” Jennifer Palmieri, the communications director for Hillary for America, shot at the Trump team seated a few feet away.

“How exactly did we win, Jenn? How exactly?” Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway fired back, noting that “I have a smile on my face at all times.”

Palmieri proceeded to bash the Trump campaign and its chief executive (and Breitbart News honcho) Stephen K. Bannon as a vehicle and emboldening power for America’s “white supremacists and white nationalists.”

“Are you gonna look me in the face and say I ran a campaign that was a platform for white supremacists?” Conway angrily responded.

Palmieri told her, plainly, yes.

“Are you kidding me?” Conway asked incredulously.

Not only is she not kidding, she is absolutely right. As anybody who paid attention to this election already knows.

In fact if it had been me on that stage I would have followed that up by reminding the Trump campaign that they could not have won without interference from the Russians and the FBI's James Comey, making their victory perhaps the most un-American "victory" in history.

While this Harvard debate is usually quite civil, reports that I heard this morning put much of the onus for it going off the rails on the Trump campaign folks, who apparently heckled CNN chief Jeff Zucker for the channel's supposedly biased Hillary reporting, and Nate Silver for getting his polling wrong.

This was one of Kellyanne Conway's shots at the Clinton campaign:

“Hashtag-he’s-your-president, how about that?” Conway told the frustrated and defeated Clinton crew. “We won.”

So yeah I think it was Trump's basket of deplorables once again demonstrating how they earned that title.

Both Kellyanne Conway and Donald Trump make me want to slap each of them across the face! They are nasty people and the thought of Trump taking the oath of office irritates the heck out of me! He's not going to abide by the rules, so why would he bother?

We are all going to so badly wish Hillary Clinton was the head of our country. Hopefully, Trump will be impeached quickly after 1/20/17!

Especially wonderful is that fact Hillary took the popular vote from Trump by a landslide (over two and half million votes)! That, in itself, is driving him nuts! His thoughts of being the fair-haired boy are far from accurate!

    HE IS A LOSER!!!

  2. Anonymous8:54 AM

Fuck Trump! He's not my president.

    1. Anonymous9:25 AM

      I agree 10000%.

    2. Anonymous10:42 AM

Mine neither. I like the way some are referring to him as "PGOTUS." The PG is for Pussy Grabber. I will never refer to him as POTUS.

  3. Anonymous9:04 AM

So Don the Con is draining the political swamp and installing the TRUMP Billionaire's Yacht Club on the Potomac.

    RJ in Brownbackistan

    1. Anonymous11:18 AM

He had to drain the swamp so his cabinet could crawl out of it easier.

Civil?" Hubert Harrison, a black socialist freethinker in Harlem during the 1910s and ’20s was an exception. He saw it as his duty to bring freethought to African Americans, whom he believed should be most desirous of jettisoning Christianity because the religion had historically strengthened both slavery and Jim Crow."The Black Panther Party for Self-Defense and the American Humanist Association were also notably not Christian. But it wasn’t until 1989, when Norm Allen, Jr founded African Americans for Humanism, that there was an explicitly secular organisation for blacks. Black Atheists of America and, more recently, Black Nonbelievers Inc, as well as local groups such as Black Skeptics Los Angeles,
"argue that religion hurts the black community by promoting sexism, patriarchy and homophobia."‘for many black atheist women, atheism’s appeal lies in its deconstruction of the bankrupt mores, values and ideologies that prop up patriarchy, sexism, heterosexism, racism, white supremacy, imperialism and economic injustice’. What we need is grit and involvement in the struggle, not a tribe satisfied with the empty promises of scriptural WHITE noise." BLM

    Hey VG

Here's a new USMC motto -- soon to be adopted by the entire Defense Department:

"Be polite, be professional, but have a plan to kill everybody you meet."

Similar to ours in Vietnam -- "kill 'em all, let god sort them out".

Sooo... the marines now rule! Watcha think about the new SecDef

Hey if I felt this was fair and square and that trump was a decent businessman? I would be on board. But it was not an ethical primary, campaign or outcome for both camps. BOTH had issues, both are a problem. But trump had his so called various questionable religious connections, riggers, hackers, wiki, snowjob, con way, man fart, cannon, data breechy, privacy breechy, radicals, terrorist, liars, cheats, thieves, hatefuls, extortionist, felons, racist, ignorant and mental ill. It is acceptable the way the US president candidate spoke of us citizens, women and men. Just like a lousy soap opera, reality show an out of control train wreck, fire, massacre, takeover, bomb and crime. And over half of voters are suppose to be excited and happy about that? REALLY?

    1. Anonymous10:46 AM

Exactly. And the other side refuses to acknowledge any legitimacy to the other side's thoughts and feelings.

As a woman I've been appalled but have been able to see that sexism is still a basic of being a Republican. But the blatant racism? What kills me most is that they can't even hear a single statement from people of color that have a different perspective.

This country's pathetic. Well, half of it.

  7. Anonymous9:45 AM

Wow, never heard of a previous president going on a victory tour.

    1. Anonymous5:23 PM

Can you image, they would have a senate investigation to see how much money was spent.

    2. Anonymous3:44 AM

Whose paying for his "victory tour"?

  8. Anonymous10:49 AM

Better check the bible that he puts his little hand on when being sworn in to make sure it's not a copy of Mein Kamph.

  9. Anonymous10:53 AM

Conway is such sewage. I disliked her before this election, but she has really outdone herself and shows that she has no scruples and no moral code to want to emulate. She will say and do anything. She will go on to do his forever. I know we say not to judge a person by her looks, but the only thing that can make me feel any better, since she will go on to continue being the poison that she is, is that she has to live with the fact that she is absolutely hideous looking and I will never have to be her and look in the mirror.

    1. Anonymous11:11 AM

That ugly face reflects her black heart. No morals whatsoever.

    2. Anonymous12:03 PM

      A resounding amen+10,000!!!!!

    3. Anonymous3:43 AM

Conway has at the same maturity level as Trump - a fourth grader on a very good day and a four year-old on other days.

  10. Anonymous10:53 AM

The crowds will not be as large as what he was use to! Plus, he's such a horrible speaker. Repeats himself constantly and continues telling the crowd how important he is and how he won in a landslide!

He actually lost the popular vote to Hillary Clinton by a HUGE margin and it's driving him nuts. Damn, but I so wish Secretary of State Clinton was going to be our POTUS. Trump will never fill the spot and hopefully he'll be impeached quickly.

He is a dolt, physically unattractive, overweight, boring, ego driven, insecure, a horrid public speaker, not bright, reactive, angry, hateful, a racist, a liar, not fact driven and has to be constantly reassured.

He'd be a total pain in the ass to be around (on a constant basis) would be my guess. Feel for his family members in having to always put on a united front for the boy/man that is their father.

I so hope the media drops the constant coverage of him! I've already stopped watching CNN, many of the MSNBC shows and FOX!

Can't help but wonder what kind of inauguration ceremony/celebration Trump and his minions will be putting together? Especially since he doesn't follow traditions!

I'm predicting it will come off as a 'circus act' or be extremely ostentatious!

He will NEVER be my potus and I'll NEVER look at him as representing me or refer to him as my potus!

    1. Anonymous1:02 PM

I, too, am sick of the constant, constant, constant, smearing of Drumpf's god-awful face and voice on the damned TV, no matter when you turn it on.

Further, the Drumpf female supporters on panels can make you throw up and wreck your brain cells if you don't shut them off.

Sheesh! What happened to sanity and courtesy. The damnable right wingers cannot shut up long enough for the hosts or anyone else to put in an intelligent sentence.

Shut the TV off. Robbed of decency and decent reporting - only news reports run the pussy grabber on a split screen ad nauseum! What the hell?

  11. Anonymous10:54 AM

    DIVERT >MAKE MONEY> #TrumpLeaks
"t turns out the president-elect gave Carrier $7 million in taxpayer money and he owns stock in Carrier’s parent company, United Technologies.
The Trump administration is going to be corporate owned, corporate run, and will use the powers of the federal government to benefit corporations and special interest.

  12. Anonymous10:57 AM

It is a money making scheme. Every time he flies in the tRump plane, he makes $$$$.

  13. Anonymous11:19 AM

We are a banana republic and an idiocracy.
    Not mutually exclusvce apparently.

  14. Anonymous11:56 AM

ma palin should be frothing. Hagatha stole her act and perfected it. Getting paid a whole lot more for sure. Looks like old don prefers the blonde gals who look like his favorite blow-up dolls more than the aging school-marm look that palin favors.

  15. Anonymous12:44 PM

Gee, hag women, why is your candidate fighting the recounts so aggressively?

Hashtag maybe he's not your president?

    I smell a rat.

  16. Anonymous12:50 PM

Turns out that 300 of the 1100 jobs were never going to Mexico, and over 1000 more jobs are still going.

The deal is not set in stone

    1. Anonymous3:42 AM

I bet the part of the story that is costing Indiana taxpayers $7 million is the part that will remain "set in stone."

  17. Anonymous1:33 PM

"who apparently heckled CNN chief Jeff Zucker for the channel's supposedly biased Hillary reporting"

This video bears re-posting... Blitzer partying, dancing, drinking, and singing along at the Democratic National Convention.

What a maroon. Not biased my ass.

  18. Anonymous3:31 PM

According the to website for the Harvard forum, it will be broadcast on CNN sometime on Sunday.

  19. Glad there's at least one Democrat willing to put aside political correctness and courtesy to tell these Deplorables exactly what they are.

Kellyanne may think she can pull the wool over the eyes of her Deplorables but everyone isn't that stupid and she was facing some of the smartest people on the planet. And unlike politicians, they had nothing to lose.

Personally, I don't think they went far enough.

I'm with adding Russian hacks, Wikileaks and James The Seditionist Comey.

They should have laid it all out in no uncertain terms.

OH, and Steve Bannon is a NAZI!

Don't feed the trolls!
It just goes directly to their thighs.
