Keith Olbermann puts to rest any question as to whether Russia hacked America in order to put Trump into the White House.

I have to admit I was a little hesitant to embrace this new Olbermann and his one man resistance movement, but he is growing on me.

As if to underline the very points that Keith makes in that diatribe, here is Vladimir Putin talking about how anxious he is to begin working with our new president:

Putin said Russia is looking forward to mending ties with the US after president-elect Donald Trump takes office in January.

"We are ready for cooperation with the new American administration," he said.

"It's important to normalise and develop our bilateral ties on an equal and mutually beneficial basis. We share responsibility for ensuring global security and stability and strengthening the non-proliferation regime."

Well of course looking forward to "mending ties" now that he has his puppet in place and knows that any deals he reaches with America will benefit Russia far more than they will benefit America.

Do any of you remember those old spy movies where the government head was replaced with a guy who had been trained by an enemy state to secretly take over and undermine their country?

Remember how we used to think that was far fetched and a little ridiculous?

Those were the days weren't they?

I don't understand why this treason was never an issue during the campaign.

What else is teflon trump going to get away with?

Steven Colbert mentioned that trump plans on using the emergency alert system to send out his tweets to everyone !!!

Can't block it. Let's see how long that lasts, seems like his 50 tweets/day insulting someone is going to interfer with the real emergencies, let alone the cost to users for his tantrums.

Glad I am still using an old cellphone with no texts.

    1. Text messages, not tweets.

Yes, he is going to abuse that system. And you can't block him.

I hope he continues to use Twitter, Youtube and Facebook. That way I can easily avoid him. When he's on TV I have to switch to HULU and watch a movie.

  4. The President-elect engaged the intelligence services of a hostile foreign nation to manipulate and affect the outcome of the US election. #TrumpisaTraitor #TreasonousTrump

Republicans Are Going To Take Your Healthcare Away And Give Insurance Companies A Bailout

Health insurance companies are warning that the system will collapse after Obamacare is repealed, so the solution that Republicans are working on involving giving billions of taxpayer dollars to insurance companies while taking health insurance away from at least ten million Americans.

    1. Anonymous3:55 AM

Of course they are. McConnell became a millionaire thanks to the insurance industry to name only one of them. I wake up in the middle of the night thinking that one day soon Medicare will have been reduced to a clip-out coupon in each Thursday's newspaper, one of which will pay $100. for the next heart attack or stroke providing the victim has never been treated for high blood pressure, etc.

What exactly is the purpose except to incite violence and stroke donnies ego.

How much is this costing us taxpayers to fly donnie to and from NYC with his own plane and secret service protection?

I sure hope someone is keeping an accounting of all this wasteful spending, can you image if a Democrat did the same !!!

Mika Brzezinski Says ‘I Don’t Think Racists and Bigots Voted for Donald Trump’

"So that accusation, I'm sorry, about having white supremacists and racism lead your campaign, is like calling all the voters for Donald Trump racists and bigots. They aren't. They aren't."

    1. Anonymous7:48 AM

Sorry, Mika. A lot of Trump voters are racists and bigots. Just listen to them.

    2. Anonymous8:33 AM

The democratic party believes they own minorities, especially black people, and can instruct them how to vote Beaglemom. Democrats are the inherent racist party.

    3. You wish, 8:33.

    4. Anonymous9:55 AM

That's an absolutely ridiculous statement. However I can see how minorities would have gravitated towards the Democratic Party this election cycle.

If I was a Latino I'd be a bit turned off by the candidate, and subsequently his party, when I heard him call Mexican people "murderers and rapists".

If I was African American I'd be wary of lending my support to the candidate that is endorsed by David Duke and the KKK.

These seem like very valid reasons to align with the Democratic Party.

    5. Anonymous10:27 AM

More minorities voted for the Democratic party.
That is because the Trumpist racist comments were heard. Racists can be identified everywhere now because the election from the electoral college; not the popular vote, gives the racists permission to bully and threaten.
      That is a fact jack.
Deal with it, you hateful spitball.

    6. Anonymous12:22 PM

Sorry snowflake, but your wild and incorrect assertions are most definitely not fact.

  9. Anonymous7:10 AM

“The bill has a giveaway to the gun lobby, cuts Medicare funding, raids the Affordable Care Act, takes health care dollars that should have gone to Puerto Rico and makes it harder for people with disabilities to get Medicaid services.”

Senator Warren did say that not everything in the bill is horrible, but only because Republicans are desperate to “buy Democratic votes. If this bill becomes law there is no question it will contain some real legislative accomplishments, but I cannot vote for this bill. I will fight it because I know the difference between compromise and extortion.”

The uphill battle for Warren and Democrats not in thrall to the gun or pharmaceutical industry is primarily one of appearance; no Democrat or Republican wants to be seen opposing a “21st Century [cancer] Cures Act” no matter how dangerous it is for consumers and patients.

Next week the early Christmas present to the pharmaceutical industry goes before the Republican-controlled Senate where Elizabeth Warren already revealed she is not looking the other way or voting for it. If Senator Warren has any success in blocking the bill in the Senate, something looking unlikely, it may be the last real legislative battle Democrats get to participate in.

    1. Anonymous3:52 AM

I found this story to be particularly offensive. While I think that all bills going through Congress should pertain to the subject at hand, I think it is especially true with this one. Most Americans have been somehow touched by cancer: if not themselves, then someone in the family or a friend or a relative of a friend. To add gifts to big pharma, the gun lobby, and deep slashes to Medicare, the ACA and Medicaid means adding things that could never be passed independently because WE THE PEOPLE would not approve them.

Kellyanne Conway melts down after Clinton staffer calls out Trump’s courting of ‘white supremacists’

    1. Anonymous7:48 AM

Oh goodness gracious, somebody doesn’t like being called on her shit, and that somebody is named Kellyanne Conway. Fresh off essentially telling a female child to fuck off because the kid dared to ask what it’s like for a woman to work for a guy who professes his love for non-consensual pussy-grabbing, and also maybe groped a lot of women, Conway went to a forum at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government, a post mortem of the 2016 election featuring the people who ran the various campaigns, and shit got REAL:

    2. Anonymous7:52 AM

The strangest criticism of the media, however, was by Trump’s former campaign manager, Corey Lewandowski.

His complaint: Journalists accurately reported what Trump said.

“This is the problem with the media. You guys took everything that Donald Trump said so literally,” Lewandowski said. “The American people didn’t. They understood it. They understood that sometimes — when you have a conversation with people, whether it’s around the dinner table or at a bar — you’re going to say things, and sometimes you don’t have all the facts to back it up.”

    3. Anonymous8:19 AM

Seems like she has been pretty quite since the rigged election.

    4. Really?

      What did they do?

Pour a bucket of water on her?

    5. Anonymous3:20 AM

Omarosa melted away among all the special Trump snowflakes when her work was done? OR maybe her liaison work with the nonwhite religious (cough, cough) groups will continue for Donald as needed but with a fairly frivolous title and some power ($$$$$)?

Quotes from General James Mattis, Trump’s Pentagon pick

"You go into Afghanistan, you got guys who slap women around for five years because they didn't wear a veil. You know, guys like that ain't got no manhood left anyway. So it's a hell of a lot of fun to shoot them."

    1. Mattis will have to get permission from his Parole Officer to relocate to D.C.

      Bwa ha ha ha!

Kellyanne Conway answers questions no one asked to avoid grilling over Trump’s ‘illegal’ votes claims

  13. Anonymous7:40 AM

His passion is inspiring. We cannot stick our heads in the sand and say, Oh, he's exaggerating, oh, it can't happen here. I wish more of the media would be as outraged, and some actually are becoming so. We need to be afraid, but our fear needs to be targeted toward action. Here's that tired old quote: "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good (wo)men to do nothing." Don't quite know what to do yet, but I can't just sit still for the next four years and see my country raped and pillaged.

    1. Anonymous8:30 AM

You confuse passion with carnival barker like salesmanship in an attempt to regain his viewership. He is just giving you what you all want to hear, and how you want to hear it, and that is about it. For Keith, the IMer types are easy marks, like shooting fish in a barrel.

    2. Yes WE'RE the gullible, easily manipulated ones.

The president-elect’s man is a kind of political John the BaptisT>In Bannon’s dark an apocalyptic world, where the heroes are few and the stakes are high, we’ve only a cadre of mavericks and truth tellers to protect us. They include Sarah Palin and Newt Gingrich and Lou Dobbs and Michele Bachmann. An important one is Robertson, the God-fearin,’ gun-totin’ patriarch of the clan; he’s the star of Bannon’s most recent film, “Torchbearer.” Add a little economic anxiety and anti-elitism (2010’s “Generation Zero,” which tracks the origins of the 2008 financial crisis back to Woodstock and the “narcissism of the hippies”). Mix it with a glowing appraisal of the Tea Party (2010’s “Battle for America,” which covers the rise of the Tea Party movement, 2010’s “Fire From the Heartland,” which follows “The Undefeated,” the 2011 work that examines Sarah Palin’s career). Long before Trump announced his 2016 campaign, Bannon was staking out the political terrain that would later become the familiar geography of his boss’s presidential bid."in Bannon’s filmic world, there are no shades of gray, only black and white, sinners and saints, demons and angels.“We priss around and parade our perversion; it’s being done in front of our very eyes. Depravity, literally. We are crutch-driven animals following our instincts.”“Murder is mainstream, we slaughter our own children,”
" “The Hope & The Change,” Sean Hannity “the most powerful documentary I’ve ever seen in my life.”
Four documentaries I brainstormed excuses to email my editor, begging off the assignment. But I was too far down the rabbit hole to stop.
In Sarah Palin.“The Undefeated,” it’s a passage from the Gospel of Matthew: “Every good tree bringeth forth good fruit. But a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit … by their fruits ye shall know them.” One-minute and 29 seconds into the documentary, we see images of cats licking themselves, apropos of nothing. Not 20 seconds later, a shadowy figure readies a handgun in front of a television screen blasting black and white static. a man handles a knife. Later, when we hear about how the left is attacking Palin, we see a door open in a bomber plane, and, is that a bevy of bombs falling out of the sky? Yes. Minutes later there is footage of a shark attack. It was, in a word, disorienting. In Palin, Bannon found his first vessel: a politician who could bind together the diverse strands of his political philosophy—a missionary missile aimed straight at secularization and crony capitalism. You learn more about the inner workings of Alaska’s budget process than you ever wanted to know. This movie was one of the few to be reviewed in the mainstream press, and not too kindly: “Its tone is an excruciating combination of bombast and whining,”
"out of the crowd comes this, like, bear [Breitbart] who’s squeezing me like my head’s going to blow up and saying how we’ve gotta take back the culture.”
Bannon boasted, “I’m the guy pushing a trillion-dollar infrastructure plan. With negative interest rates throughout the world, it’s the greatest opportunity to rebuild everything. Shipyards, iron works, get them all jacked up. We’re just going to throw it up against the wall and see if it sticks. It will be as exciting as the 1930s, greater than the Reagan revolution—conservatives, plus populists, in an economic nationalist movement.”“I’ve studied documentarians extensively to come up with my own in-house style. I’m a student of Michael Moore’s films, of Eisenstein, Riefenstahl. Leave the politics aside, you have to learn from those past masters on how they were trying to communicate their ideas.”In Trump, Bannon has perhaps finally found the subject of his magnum opus, his greatest muse since Palin." his shot at a wider audience, “the packs” he once shrugged off: It’s all of us."

Senate Democrats Tell Obama To SPILL IT DUDE On Russian Interference In Election

  16. There are too many connections not to raise red flags and I predict there might just be a major bombshell coming, this is far from over. The Russians do not play, and I think since Trump has been doing business in Russia and trying to put a hotel in Moscow for years, it's not a stretch to think some Russian Oligarchs have their hooks in Trump. The Russian mob makes Putin look like a Teddy Bear, Trump had no problem dealing with criminals in NY and Jersey so... Just sayin....

    1. There are a lot of sites for information which even if half are extremely slanted still give details of Russian alliances in so many aspects of Trumps dealings for years. Bigly web he has going.

    2. IF anything comes of the investigations it will be long after Trump is sworn in and nothing will be done about it. The usurper will be allowed to remain in office.

  17. If we were to get Ed Schultz and Keith O. back on MSNBC, we might have a fighting chance of some semblance of dealing with the rash of shit that the Republicans and Dominionists have ins tore for this country.

    1. Anonymous9:45 AM

      Schultz works for Russia Today

      from wiki:
On January 14, 2016, Ed Schultz announced he would start hosting The News with Ed Schultz on RT America, a cable news channel funded by the Russian government.[39][40] Since then Schultz, who was formerly very critical of Russian president Vladimir Putin, has expressed support for Putin and for Russian policies. Formerly highly critical of Donald Trump, he now praises him and criticizes Hillary Clinton.[41]

    2. Anonymous10:32 AM

Ed $chultz was the 1st Bernie Bro and I think part of the PROBLEM from the BEGINNING! HE Grated the Bern for MONTHS into running. I watched him almost daily. He left cable right after Bernie announced and fucked it up for HRC. $et UP?
      He i$ a "good old boy"!<DOG.

    3. 9:45
I did not realize that Ed had gone over to RT. I never would have thought that he would do that as he lives in an area that would maybe lynch him for that very caper. Detroit Lakes MN.
However, that area went for Trump this year and traditionally vote Democrat so this is something I did not see coming. Most around the Fargo-Moorhead area respect him for his positive switch to liberalism from a staunch Republican years ago.
I was thinking of the old Ed on MSNBC when I wrote that comment and was very wrong.
My husband knew him when he beat his first wife in Fargo as they both worked at the same television station.
At that point in time, he turned Dem and married again and was eventually picked up nationally.
Moral of the story: Never trust a guy who abuses women. That applies to both Ed and Trump.
Also, never comment on a guy you have not actively read for awhile.

    4. Anonymous11:19 AM

wow laurensd1 I didn't know that about him!

Bernie ran a good fight for the DNC nomination, unlike Hillary and Co that conspired to hand her the nomination. You do know that he was not running against her on the ballots on November 8th don't you?

Obama Blows Away Trump By Adding 178 Carrier Deals To The Economy In November

The economic growth under President Obama is the result of government working for the people. Trump’s Carrier deal is the byproduct of government working for corporations.

Many Americans who have taken the progress made under President Obama for granted are going to get an immediate shock when the Trumpanomics starts hitting them in the wallet. Those who don’t learn from history are doomed to repeat it, and enough voters didn’t remember the lessons from Bush’s Great Recession.

Trump’s Breezy Calls to World Leaders Leave Diplomats Aghast

...In a remarkably candid readout of the phone call, the Pakistani government said Mr. Trump had told Mr. Sharif that he was “a terrific guy” who made him feel as though “I’m talking to a person I have known for long.” He described Pakistanis as “one of the most intelligent people.” When Mr. Sharif invited him to visit Pakistan, the president-elect replied that he would “love to come to a fantastic country, fantastic place of fantastic people.”

...The breezy tone of the readout left diplomats in Washington slack-jawed, with some initially assuming it was a parody. In particular, they zeroed in on Mr. Trump’s offer to Mr. Sharif “to play any role you want me to play to address and find solutions to the country’s problems.”

    1. So now Trump is calling all of the countries in the world and offering to solve all of their problems too? Before he's even been sworn in or done anything.

Who does he think he is? Supreme Dictator of the World for Life?

  26. Has everyone moved their money from Banks to Credit Unions?

First step in starving the beast.

17 banks are helping to fund DAPL.

Here's a list. See if your bank is on it.

Tom Udall is pleading with Obama to stop the DAPL. Think he will?

"Sen. Tom Udall (D-N.M.) is calling on President Barack Obama to condemn the recent violence against Dakota Access Pipeline protesters.

“I write to urge your renewed personal attention to the pressing issues surrounding the Dakota Access Pipeline,” he wrote in a letter to Obama Wednesday. “There have been far too many dangerous violent confrontations between protestors and state and local law enforcement, with serious injuries resulting.”"

"Udall called the police at Standing Rock “overly militarized.” Their use of rubber bullets and water cannons appears to “violate civil rights,” he added.

The Standing Rock Sioux asked the Department of Justice to investigate potential civil rights violations by law enforcement in October, but the department has not taken action to look into this request so far."

"Udall is set to to become vice chairman of the Senate Indian Affairs Committee in the next Congress. He worries the pipeline dispute could “negatively impact federal-Tribal relations” if a “respectful resolution” is not decided, according to the letter."

  27. Best read I've had so far on how the Electoral College really needs to do their job.

"Before it’s too late, Democrats, Republicans, people in the media, and the general public need to screw up some courage and speak out forcefully to have the Electors do as Hamilton and the Founders would have them do: realize that the Electoral College was made to be a lifejacket to save the American Republic, not a straitjacket to drown it, and act accordingly."

And if it isn't obvious the Trump is going to drown the U.S. He's already messing with China with that phone call to Taiwan. There are situations he'll make even worse. And he's not even sworn in yet. His cabinet picks are a disaster.

These electors need to take a page from Schwarzenegger who said he is an American first and a Republican second. They need to vote country, not party.

"In this fast-approaching dark winter that so threatens our nation, a winter in which the fate of America hangs in the balance as much as it did 239 years ago, on another December 19, when Gen. George Washington and his nearly-beaten army arrived at Valley Forge, let us update Thomas Paine’s immortal words: “THESE are the times that try a nation’s soul. The summer soldier and the sunshine patriot will, in this crisis, shrink from the service of their country; but he and she that stand by it now, deserve the love and thanks of man and woman.” Those who fail to stand by their country now will have to explain to themselves and to posterity why they were so cowardly in this time of such obvious need for action."
