Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive.

I will admit that some of this is a little exaggerated, but not by much in my opinion.

I really do think that Putin's incredible success with hacking lately is directly tied to the information that Edward Snowden stole from the NSA and then took with him to Russia.

    Secretary Hillary Clinton:
Internet- "And there was a debate immediately after the presidential election about Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton as a likely pardon candidate, even though Clinton has not been charged with any criminal offenses. This week, Obama spokesman Josh Earnest repeated the White House’s consistent position that President Obama has no interest in politically motivated pardons."

President Obama should pardon Hillary Clinton even though she has not been charged with any crimes. Why?

    1. As a a preemptive strike to prevent Trump from doing harm to her.

    2. Because President Obama owes it to her for the years of service she has done for our nation.

    3. For the years of service she has done for President Obama.

Why would Trump go after Hillary?

    1. To quote Omarosa Manigault: ‘Every Critic, Every Detractor, Will Have To Bow Down To President Trump’

“It is the ultimate revenge to become the most powerful man in the universe.”

    2. Because Putin would want revenge against Secretary Clinton for the troubles she has caused him over the years and his puppet Trump would do Putin's bidding and go after her.

    3. Also Trump is a known liar and is a very vengeful person. Even though he said he won't go after her, he will because he's evil, he has the power to get revenge and he will go after her for the trouble she has caused him and for damaging his image.

    4. Trump would also go after Hillary as a means of getting even with Bill Clinton for Bill damaging Trump's image.

I feel Hillary needs to live and enjoy a peaceful life without having to worry about Trump playing God the next four years. He should not be allowed to hold something over her head.

I feel that evil is now POTUS and revenge is his sayeth Lord Trump.

    1. Exactly.

Trump is devious enough to make nice and pretend bygones are gone, etc. until Obama is out of office and can't do anything.

Then suddenly the investigations are resurrected and she has four years of testifying before committees. And since he owns the DoJ and Congress how hard will it be for him to have her indicted even if there are no grounds? Trump can make her life a living hell.

Obama should do it just to maker sure that lying piece of orange excrement can't do a damned thing.

While he's at it he should do Bergdahl and Chelsea Manning. Manning won't be safe behind bars in an administration with Mike Pence in a position of power.

Russia owns Trump but we just don't know how. If he doesn't support and defend Russia while allowing them to do as they please in Europe and Syria, they will tell his big secret and much much more. Trump is defiant in his Russian allegiance - and that allegiance is greater than the one he holds for America. Will the Republicans find the balls to deal with him is the question. He is just this side of committing treason and he isn't even in office yet -- what does he do when he has that power is the question.

  3. no doubt, but snowden, from wherever they are hiding him in russia, tweets:

    1. Anonymous11:21 AM

"from wherever they are hiding him"
How ignorant. Do a little reading. Snowden moves around freely in Russia. He's not hiding or being hidden.

    2. Anonymous12:33 PM

11:21am He is "free" technically but he can never return to the US as he is exiled forever. That's still a rather pathetic existence even if his family and girlfriend can visit him.

    Washington Times
White House press secretary Josh Earnest said Mr. Obama is hopeful that Mr. Trump will follow long-standing tradition of not punishing political opponents through the criminal-justice system. He said all clemency actions go through a formal process, and that will remain in place until the end of Mr. Obama’s presidency in January....

He said Mrs. Clinton “has worked very hard over a long period of time, and we owe her a major debt for her service to our country.”

Mr. Earnest also said the president was encouraged by Mr. Trump’s “tone” in his victory speech early Wednesday, suggesting that the White House believes it’s an indication that Mr. Trump wouldn’t call for a prosecution of her when he takes office.

    1. He won't. Tradition means nothing to Trump. He does as he pleases. Always has. Expects to always get his way.

Trump will absolutely go after Clinton as soon as he's sworn in and Obama is out the door. Without a pardon she is fair game and red meat.

Mr. Obama has placed hope in Mr. Trump regarding Secretary Hillary Clinton

    @4:56 said:
"White House press secretary Josh Earnest said Mr. Obama is hopeful that Mr. Trump will follow long-standing tradition of not punishing political opponents through the criminal-justice system."

Keep in mind Mr. Obama that the man your placing HOPE in has swindled a lot of Americans who placed HOPE in making their lifes and their families lifes better by attending Mr. Trump's TRUMP UNIVERSITY and by Mr. Trump sharing his knowledge that made him rich.

These people took their life savings, retirement money and even borrowed money because they had HOPE and they trusted Mr Trump.

What did that hope get them?

  6. Anonymous5:37 AM

You might want to add, hackign into Vermont Utilities web to those targets.

Though the right (hot air) is trying to spin this as over concern, please remind them when you see such reponses of the YUUUGE federal case (literally) they made out of Hillary's emails and server. Use of the word "hypocrisy" highly appropriate and encouraged.

  7. Anonymous6:03 AM

Mr. Obama has HOPE in Mr. Trump.

A lot of hard working American contractors had FAITH not HOPE that billionaire Mr. Trump would honor his signed contracts.

These Americans had FAITH that billionaire Mr. Trump would reimburse them and not swindle them out of their time and their money used for purchasing materials and labor that went into building Mr. Trump's golf courses, apartment buildings and hotels.

A lot of Americans had FAITH that working hard and not HOPING for handouts would make their lifes and their families lifes better.

What did that FAITH in Mr. Trump get them?

Ya wanna get paid? Settle for less or sue me!

Donald Trump’s pick for attorney general, Jeff Sessions, is withholding decades’ worth of records from his career ahead of his Senate confirmation hearings early next month, according to an exhaustive report issued Friday by progressive advocacy groups.

    1. Perjury by omission?

      This will be fun.

Who's on the Senate Confirmation Committee? he better pray it isn't Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders and Al Franken.

You Could Have Bought A Ticket To Donald Trump’s New Year’s Eve Party

The Mar-a-Lago event raises more ethical questions for the president-elect.

Norm Eisen, who served as ethics counselor to President Barack Obama, had a one-word response to the spectacle:

    1. Anonymous7:24 AM

The president-elect is already personally profiting from the presidency, as Trump sold tickets to a New Year's Eve party that will be held at his private club and attended by the Trump family.

...It doesn’t take a presidential ethics expert to understand what is happening. Trump is selling his status as president for personal or family financial gain. The doors are not only open to corruption, but there is a big red neon sign hanging over the door that says graft here.

Presidential ethics groups and experts are warning that Trump is setting the stage for massive conflicts of interest, and have warned that the president-elect’s belief that he is above ethics laws is flat out wrong.

The presidency is for sale, and Donald is wasting no time before he cashes in.

    2. Anonymous12:36 PM

Wonder if he's savvy enough to either wand the attendees or send them through metal detectors? Probably not, just offering an open door to any old person who wants to come to a party in his home...his greed combined with his ego will probably be his downfall.

    3. All it takes is a three inch blade wielded by someone that knows what they're doing. It's not that difficult to get one through security. Especially when it doesn't have to be a knife.

"Independent estimates suggest that Republican plans would cause 30 million Americans to lose coverage, with about half the losers coming from the Trump-supporting white working class."Krugman points out, the modern GOP is philosophically opposed to the notion that the government has a positive part to play in people’s lives at ALL.

The lineup for the Inauguration Day weekend parade has been announced — and it’s pathetic at best.

    1. Anonymous7:55 AM

      the Utuqqagmiut Dancers of Alaska

      WTF? Nooooooooooooooooooooooooo...

    2. Anonymous7:56 AM

Native American Women Warriors of Colorado

      WTF? Nooooooooooooooooooooo.....

    3. Anonymous12:43 PM

      7:55am and 7:56am

Those two acts were noted as being at Obama's second inaugural but NOT performing for Trump.

    4. So what he has is basically an old white KKK rally?

Has he got ANY marching bands? Some red state aren't sending their college bands? The NFL can't supply him with anyone?

Trump’s inauguration weekend parade will be graced by groups such as the

Mid America Cowgirls Rodeo Drill Team of New Buffalo, Michigan

U.S. Customs and Border Protection Office of Field Operations. Yes, really. Perhaps the Border Patrol agents will be in the parade on a float made out to look like a border wall. Who knows?

Trump’s Inauguration Day weekend parade is also reportedly going to have as a part the Boy Scouts of America — a notoriously corrupt organization that fosters homophobia, transphobia, and cases of child sexual abuse.

Cowgirl drill team. Big surprise. Bet they're wearing skimpy outifts too.

Border patrolmen are going to march?

Boy scouts are going to march?

      What? Still no BANDS?

Football half time shows are going to be more entertaining. Even high school ones.

Maybe he can get the Rockettes to change ball kick down the avenue followed by the Mormon Tabernacle Choir marching to Come, Come Ye Saints.

      It's beyond disgusting and embarrassing.

      It's pathetic.

I can easily imagine Trump making a deal with Putin for help to get elected by playing dirty against Clinton. Trump would be focused on his gain without considering nor caring about consequences to others. He operates from an I win you lose mindset. The losers will be internationally.

The photo of a Trump Tower billboard above sleeping homeless children is real

    1. Anonymous8:37 AM

THIS is a caution: "We take it as fact when a Snopes or the reddit community calls an image Photoshopped. Why are we so enthralled to this new digital priesthood? And how indeed can we separate fact from fiction?"

    2. Anonymous4:14 PM

I'm in India, and there are homeless people sleeping EVERYWHERE! This picture isn't unusual. I don't think people in the US understand the level of poverty in other parts of the world. It's grim

    Putin’s No-Longer-So-Secret Weapon

  18. Anonymous7:53 AM

“To that end, my administration will be providing a report to Congress in the coming days about Russia’s efforts to interfere in our election, as well as malicious cyber activity related to our election cycle in previous elections,” Obama said."

  19. Anonymous7:55 AM

Putin could not have imagined in his most megalomaniacal dreams 15 years ago that he would play a considerable role in putting a new American administration in office. It became an increasingly real possibly as the Russian hackers took reading our mail to another level.

The big shift came as the Russians went from simply gathering our secrets to then making them public in such a way as to influence American public opinion and therefore the course of our democracy. Putin must marvel at the fervently patriotic, flag-waving Americans who shrug at the near certainty that a foreign power had subverted the electoral process that is at the heart of America’s true greatness.

"I will admit that some of this is a little exaggerated"

No Jesse Griffin, this is yet another fake story promoted by you. Anyone who watches the interview between Carlson and Greenwald will recognize the NYmag article is a fabrication of how it really went.

In particular, this statement in the article, "An enormous amount of public evidence supports the conclusion that Russia conducted the email hacks. " is completely untrue. There is no public evidence that supports that conclusion.

And the diagram, which you fail to identify its source, doesn't go with the article. It's an invention promoted by a Ukrainian dissident.

You'd become a propagandist, but now you're a proven fake news promoter who should be shut down.

    1. Anonymous12:53 PM

Basically stated the information considered "proof" of the attacks and the hacking is classified and it's likely that the public will NEVER see it. Doesn't mean it's fake, just means it's not for public eyes.

    2. Anonymous1:22 PM

      Fuck off asshole.

  21. And Snowden has the nerve to ask for amnesty and a pardon to come back.

Don't forget, the Chinese has the opportunity to copy all of his stuff before he ended up in Russia. So both the Russians and the Chinese have those documents.

Piss on Snowden. Let him rot in Russia.

    He's a TRAITOR.

    1. Anonymous9:50 AM

Yes, he is, and he should be hung.

    2. Anonymous11:17 AM

"So both the Russians and the Chinese have those documents. "

The recent report from the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence about Snowden verified he brought no devices into Russia that contained the documents.

Democrats have a new "thing" for calling people they disagree with "TRAITOR". Watch how often you read it in 2017. Nobody's going to do anything to Snowden.

    3. Anonymous12:58 PM

Snowden provided some very valuable information to us, the public, regarding how our data is mined by the US and other governments, however, our government didn't really appreciate how he went about it and he'll never be invited back, still many of us were grateful for the knowledge that basically our government and many others are looking at everything we do online and on our phones. Good to know, even if we can't do anything about it.

    4. Anonymous1:18 PM

Former CIA operative Bob Baer is shocked that President-elect Donald Trump and his Republican allies are ignoring what he calls “forensic information” and “computer DNA.”

“I think he hacked the elections,” Baer said of Russian President Vladimir Putin. “The FBI came out today and put out a report. This is forensic information. He manipulated our election and now he’s manipulating our politics. The fact they didn’t expel any American diplomats from Moscow and he turns around and says, ‘Trump is just the man we can deal with,’ this is just extraordinary.”

Baer went on to say that he’s never seen anything like this in his many years working in national security.

“And the fact that Trump has not reacted is incredible,” he continued. “This FBI information is forensic. It is the same sort of evidence they send people to jail on. It is computer DNA. It is indisputable at this point.”

    6. They canceled Person of Interest too soon.

You think the have to mine for stuff? Do you have a Facebook account? Twitter? Pinterest, Imgr, a smartphone. Do you allow location services? Does your laptop accept cookies from browsers?

We GIVE them tons of data. They just have to access it.

Look how easy it was for them to hack the DNC. You think they have to get into secure NSA files to gather valuable information. All they have to do is bring together all of the tiny threads and weave them together to form the correct picture.

Sure there are some ripe pickings in those secure files. But that doesn't mean there isn't juicy stuff elsewhere easier to access.

BTW did you know you have a 50% chance of being in a police database? They're including ALL driver's license photographs in their databases now. Sometimes they're even mining facial recognition from ATM cams and other security cameras. You don't have to commit a crime. If a camera has a picture of you, you could be on file with the authorities. Virtual line-up. What are the chances an innocent person could be identified?

Snowden took a laptop with files with him. Don't tell me it was a clean harddrive except for his Christmas list.

They've identified about 5,000 files that he likely took with him.
