So it looks like Trump TV might still be a thing. Kinda.

Holy crap it looks like one of those open access shows they show on some obscure channel late at night.

Here is what Salon had to say about all of this:

The conservative online media outlet Right Side Broadcasting Network (RSBN), dubbed “Trump TV” by the Washington Post, announced this week that it is expanding into a 24-hour operation that will “be in the White House … at the press briefings” during the Trump administration.

Media Matters first reported the curious claim by Right Side Broadcasting Network host Joe Seales during the outlet’s online coverage of Trump’s “Thank You” rally in North Carolina on Tuesday night.

The pro-Trump website has live-streamed nearly every Trump campaign event, produced debate analysis with Trump campaign aides that streamed on Trump’s official Facebook Page, and even set-up a camera to capture transition efforts from the lobby of Trump Tower for its nearly 250,000 YouTube subscribers. Seemingly with the blessing of the Trump campaign, RBSN has set itself up as the official destination of broadcast counter news programming for the pro-Trump crowd.

“Anything that Trump does live we will be there,” Seales told his viewers Tuesday night. “We will be there at the inauguration, we will be in the White House, we will be at the press briefings. I promise you that. You can count on Right Side Broadcasting” he said.

There may however be a slight obstacle keeping "Right Side Broadcasting" from becoming the Trump administration's version of Pravda, the Standing Committee of Correspondents.

They are the ones who determine if an organization gets access to White House press briefings, and they only provide those to organizations that prove they are a publication whose “principal business is the daily dissemination of original news and opinion of interest to a broad segment of the public” and is “editorially independent of any institution, foundation or interest group that lobbies the federal government.”

You know that could prove challenging.

However then I remember when a certain former male prostitute named Jeff Gannon showed up regularly to Bush press conferences back in the day, and I think that may not prove such an insurmountable obstacle after all.

After all let's face it, Donald Trump is going to be doing everything he can think of to bypass the media which has proven to be so critical of him and find other ways to get his message out to his brainless supporters.

And a show that looks like it is being filmed in your parent's basement and hosted by a guy who looks like he was freshly plucked from a sport fishing reality show might just do the trick.

The Standing Committee of Correspondents won't be standing after trump gets in.

Does anyone wonder, except me, when microphones are shoved in NPM's face, if the ones doing it have any self respect being, in their head, a "true" journalist when all is said and done?

"If by some awful happenstance Trump shows up to be sworn in on January 20th, I will be there helping lead the national protest and non-violently disrupting the Inauguration of a man no one other than the electoral college elected — and I'll also be doing my own thing as a private citizen (activities I won't disclose now).

"I expect the Republicans to call a Saturday session on Jan. 21st and start enacting an assembly line of legislation, passing bills into law by voice vote, and rushing them up Pennsylvania Ave. for Trump's signature. This impending disaster requires everyone to get involved now — all hands on deck! This is not a drill!"

Trump Questionnaire Raises Concerns About Retaliation Against Energy Department Staff

Donald Trump's transition team circulated a survey asking for names of Department of Energy employees who attended climate change conferences. Legal experts question the new administration's motives

    1. Unless such questionnaires are routine and customary for incoming administrations, the Energy Department should tell the trump takeover (not transition) team to do their own fucking research. It would at least buy staff and researchers time to look for different positions.

  5. What makes you think there are going to be any White House press briefings? Trump has Twitter and this Red Neck Pravda on YouTube. That's all he needs.

By the standing committee's own standard Fox News never should have had a seat let alone the front row.

You just watch Trump fuck over the media until they cave and agree to bow before him and self-censor to only print/broadcast what meets Trump's acceptable standards.

At least I'll have Stephen, Seth, Bill, John, Samantha and Keith. Until their shows are cancelled and they are arrested and sent to the Gulag.

I'm the only one I know still boycotting the mainstream media. FGS there are good people still tuning in to Morning Jerk!

Herr Drumph IS a Fascist. He's replacing the media with his own news source. He's out to get the First Amendment. He's stacked his Cabinet with Know Nothings about governing but know a profit when they see it. For themselves. All the laws and regulations that have been painfully advanced re: the environment, women's rights, voters rights, old age security....it's all on the table.

I hope I live long enough to see retribution for his hubris and the stupidity of the American "base." I am an old lady. And I am pissed.

I'm a 72 year old elder woman and I will not let our daughters and granddaughters be taken back to the 1950s, which seems to me where according to Trump and his Cabinet of Deplorables are headed.

      this is not ok!

How much of Trump's audience will be left in two years after Trump and his fellow kleptocrats are through with them? His brand will likely be toxic by then.

Barack Obama is the one to watch.

I haven't read the article, I stopped reading Salon early this year because of their biased reporting. I never forgive that.

    1. With any luck the Republicans will poison themselves so much even the doofus Democrats will gain some seats in 2018 and unless they totally screw up might regain both houses and the Oval Office.

Of course, if the old guard hangs on all bets are off.
