Trump claims that he does not care that no big stars want to perform at his inauguration. "Parties aren't his thing."

Courtesy of TMZ:

Donald Trump's inauguration is going to be "strictly traditional" and the President-elect has no interest in courting big Hollywood stars or entertainers to hobnob or perform at the events ... TMZ has learned.

Sources involved in inaugural prep tell TMZ ... Trump is hardly engaged in the party planning at all. We're told he does feel, however, the parties should not be "over the top," but he's leaving all the details to others.

One Trump insider says the Prez-elect is "obsessed" with energizing American business and industry ... the parties just aren't his thing.

Yeah parties aren't his thing.  Right.

Trump loves parties, and everybody knows it. Hell he even showed up to a party that he was not invited to.

The source also claimed that Trump did not want a bunch of "big names" at his party because they certainly did not help Hillary's campaign to succeed.

Please, does anybody really buy that?

No Trump is being pissy because no A list celebrities want to perform at his inauguration/white supremacist cross burning on January 20th.

Obviously nobody who did not like having celebrities around him would have hosted a show called "Celebrity Apprentice."

Personally I find this hysterical.

The guy is so thin skinned that I dread the first time that some foreign leader snubs him or hurts his stubby vulgarian feelings.

"When it comes to hot-button issues around race, gender or general hatred of liberal ideas, that’s where you get a cohesive set of opinions from Trump voters."That’s why it’s important, especially for journalists, not to assume that the phrase “drain the swamp” is meant by Trump, or heard by his supporters, as describing the influence of special interests or lobbyists on Beltway politics. Yes, that’s what most politicians mean when they use that phrase, but there’s reason to believe that for Trump, it’s a vague phrase that allows his followers to define “the swamp” however they want. And what they really want to do is HATE on liberals." Alexandr Dugin, who bluntly defines “the swamp” as anti-racists, humanitarian liberals and LGBT activists."Drain the swamp” started out sounding like a catchy way of describing the undue influence of the rich and powerful, and no doubt many people who use it intend it that way. But it’s time to admit that it’s morphed into hateful rhetoric that has terrifying undertones"

Also Two Hollywood sources believe Trump is wishing for Gwen Stefani to perform at the inauguration, and mentions they are desperate for A-liners.

The question is will Trump and his wife (who will be visiting Washington DC) will have the nerve to get out in the parade and walk like President Obama and First Lady Michelle did? If it looks like they ate too much, it probably will be from the bullet proof vests?

Here's a good idea going around on FacePlace:

You may have heard that the Trump people are freaking out and frantic that the performers for the Inauguration will be limited to Kid Rock and Ted Nugent.
So.... You know what would be really smart? If there was a televised "freedom concert" with celebrities (Madonna, Katy Perry, U2, John Legend, Common, Sting, Harry Belafonte, Herbie Hancock, Ziggie Marley, Paul Simon, Bruno Mars, and others come to mind) that aired at the same time as the inauguration. Imagine how furious "Tiny Fingers" would be. He would totally lose all the ratings.
And what if all the proceeds of the concert went to: Boys & Girls Clubs of America, the ACLU, Planned Parenthood, Lambda Legal, NAACP, CAIR, MADD, GLAAD, CAAAV, DRUM, AADF, The Innocence Project and so many more non-profits?
Alec Baldwin should MC the event dressed as Trump as he does on SNL.
COPY & PASTE to your timeline if you like the idea! (Don't share - copy and paste instead. If you share, many people won't be able to see it. This is from a woman named Mary Davis, who posted it on her Facebook profile. You can edit the celebrities and the nonprofits listed to your liking.

He was so all-talk about how his convention would be unlike any other and he was going to have such great talent performing there, and then no one wanted anything to do with it. And the talk about Marc Burnett being involved died down--he couldn't have that and such a failure of a production after all. Same thing--Burnett included--is happening now. Once Bocelli said he'd not perform, we know Trump accepted that he was in big trouble now, and he's totally changed his tone.

If true, we know it's only because Trump will want to have no performers (other than the kid and pry some military personnel and country music yahoos singing the Natl anthem) rather than a skimpy lineup. Donald Trump Once Allegedly Asked If It Was "Wrong" to Be "Sexually Attracted" to Ivanka

The line was reportedly deleted from a Washington Post column before publication.

"This isn't the first time Trump's questionable references to his daughter have surfaced. He said on the Howard Stern Show in 2003 that "she's got the best body." The next year, he was back on Stern agreeing with the radio host that she was "A piece of ass." Howard University's band used to march in inaugural parades but they're passing this one up as is at least one other Washington DC area high school band that has performed in past inaugural parades. Members are concerned about racism. I don't blame them.

I think there are usually military bands in the parade so I'm sure that they'll participate. Whether the cadets (or midshipmen) in the various academies like it or not, Trump will be their commander-in-chief so, if their bands march, they'll be in the parade.

‘Our first crybaby President’: Internet hammers Trump after he again whines about losing popular vote

...Since it seems that Trump still feels insecure that 54% of voters in the 2016 election picked a different candidate, the internet wasted no time rubbing salt in his wounds by mocking his popular vote loss to Clinton — and by noting that his 43% favorable rating is by far the lowest for any incoming president in recorded history.

‘It’s on!’: Tom Arnold claims Trump lawyers are threatening to sue him over ‘Apprentice’ tape claims

Comedian Tom Arnold caused quite a stir earlier this week when he talked about tapes he purportedly has of Donald Trump making wildly offensive comments during his tenure as host of The Apprentice — and it seems he’s got Team Trump’s attention.

On Twitter Wednesday, Arnold claimed to have received a voicemail from someone in Trump’s camp threatening him with a defamation suit over his claims that he has tapes of Trump spewing racial slurs and calling his own son a “retard.”

Rather than being intimidated by this threat, however, Arnold welcomed it as an opportunity for the entire country to see how Trump has treated people over the years.

The Apprentice was a scam put forth to the public in exchange for ratings. We were “entertaining,” and the story about Donald Trump and his stature fell into some bizarre public record as “truth.”’

“It’s basically about money-laundering” on the part of “especially but not only Russians.”

    Yikes.

And this man is going to become the leader of the United States of America in just over one month’s time? Seriously?

    Fascinating, and deeply tragic, report.

    The 21st Century Gold Rush

The biggest refugee crisis in recorded history has engulfed continents, swung elections and fueled the rise of nativism. It has also made a lot of people very, very rich. These are the stories of the CEOs, criminal masterminds, pencil-pushers and low-flying vultures who have figured out how to profit from global instability, also known as human suffering.

Republicans Think With Trump They Can Pass Anti-LGBT First Amendment Defense Act

...But now with the Religious Right’s “messiah” Donald Trump heading to the White House/Trump Tower, Sen. Ted Cruz and his fellow religious bigots figure they’ve got a lock on finally sticking it to the LGBT community. Hard.

Campaigning to win the Electoral College is much more difficult & sophisticated than the popular vote. Hillary focused on the wrong states!

Trump Thought ‘Draining the Swamp’ Was Cute Until He Was Standing in the Middle of it

Trump adviser Newt Gingrich told NPR’s Morning Edition today that Trump isn’t using “drain the swamp” anymore. “I’m told he now just disclaims that. He now says it was cute, but he doesn’t want to use it anymore.”

That might be because he has no intention of draining the swamp. Not that he did before, but it’s just a bit more obvious, as CNN’s David Wright puts it, “now that he’s knee-deep in alligators.”

Here’s The Law That Poses The Greatest Threat To Donald Trump
The Stock Act’s author explains the insider trading law will be extremely difficult for the next president to follow if he keeps his businesses.

By walking onto the inaugural platform outside the Capitol and putting his hand on a Bible on Jan. 20, Donald Trump may be stepping closer to committing a felony than he ever imagined when he launched his unlikely bid to become the nation’s 45th president.

That’s because Congress passed a law in 2012 called the Stock Act, which explicitly bars the president, members of Congress and senior executive branch officials from using their insider knowledge to make money.

...The law is clear in saying that the president cannot do anything that resembles helping friends, family members or himself to make a profit off of information he gains from doing his job.

“It’s the same as it applies to the American people,” said Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.), the lead author of the Stock Act. “You cannot trade on nonpublic information. That is a criminal violation of the law.”

“The president, the vice president, Cabinet secretaries, all of them have to play by the same rules as every other American,” Gillibrand added. “And that’s what the Stock Act ensures.”

    1. Republicans have a majority and they can repeal the Stock Act. (Then put it back in place when a Democrat becomes president.)

With a Republican majority in the House and Senate they will never impeach, investigate or in any way do anything to get rid of Trump. He is their wet dream president.

The parties “aren’t his thing” because they can’t get any A-list celebrities to participate.

They are stuck with poopy pants nugent, Chachi and his neo Nazi friends. Also his convention party was a bigly flop.

Also for someone who isn’t into parties, why the parade in NYC? (cost to taxpayers?), he didn’t even win NYC and the helicopter ride to DC?

If he can find a way to make money off the parties, there will be parties.

House Republican Says People Will Have To Use Less Healthcare After Obamacare Repeal

A House Republican is telling his constituents that they are going to have to spend more money, and have less health care after the GOP repeals Obamacare.

...Republicans are making it very clear that their goal is to make sure that they want to go back to a healthcare system where a medical emergency could kill or bankrupt you or your loved ones.

This representative (from my state unfortunately) brags in this interview about how his splintered and taped his child's arm and waited until the next day, when the child was probably still in considerable pain, to take him to the doctor. And then there was obviously an x-ray and the child's arm was tended to - by professionals.
