Trump's pick for deputy Secretary of State, John Bolton, thinks he knows who is behind these Russian hacks, President Obama.

Courtesy of TPM:

Donald Trump’s reported pick for deputy secretary of state alleged Sunday that reports Russia intervened in the U.S. presidential election may be a “false flag” planted by the Obama administration.

“It's not at all clear to me just viewing this from the outside that this hacking into the DNC and the RNC computers was not a false flag operation,” former U.S. ambassador to the U.N. John Bolton said in an interview on Fox News.

Bolton questioned why FBI Director James Comey said the agency did not find any “direct evidence of foreign intelligence service penetration” in its review of Hillary Clinton’s private email server, but found “cyber fingerprints” while looking into alleged hacks of the Democratic and Republican National Committees.

“The question that has to be asked is why did the Russians run their smart intelligence service against Hillary's server but their dumb intelligence services against the election,” Bolton said.

Why did Comey not find “direct evidence of foreign intelligence service penetration?”

Because she was smart enough to have a private server and they could not find a way to hack her that's why!

How hard is that to figure out?

But no it makes so much more sense that the President orchestrated a hack of the State Department, the DNC, and the Clinton campaign in order to help the guy who accused him of not being born in America to win the presidency.

And THIS is the guy that Doanld Trump feels should be second in command of the State Department?

Trump is just going to (figuratively) beat people senseless, to the point where they just tune him out. It's just hard to believe how power mad the Republicans are - to the point that they allow Russia and a money hungry thin skinned vengeful vulgarian to take over the US. By the time Trump and Putin are done, the US will be weakened in every way.

"One final consideration: Trump and his transition team have been coy about whether they actually plan to nominate Tillerson, so his name might just be a trial balloon or a decoy of sorts for Trump to stake out a negotiating position. For instance, if Trump were interested in choosing former U.N. Ambassador John Bolton as secretary of state, who himself could face a difficult nomination, retreating from Tillerson after floating his name could make Bolton appear to be more of a compromise choice."

That's OK..he just tapped Perry to run the Dept. of Energy. Perry, wh is bbeingpaid $236,000 a year by the people trying to run the Dakota pipeline through fresh water sources. I wonder if there will be more contentious TV than the conformation hearings for this pack of unqualified dimwits that Trump is so proud of?

But factual answers to you, the real loser.
Hillary 2,842000 more votes than Con Don.
And she didn't use compromised machines.
The real comfort if any is that Trumpettes will suffer too.
Donald doesn't care two hoots about you. You may smugly think that you are insulated by money or pull, but you aren't immune from what the wilderness will do to your quality of life.

    4. 46th on the list of presidents.

That landslide mandate? 45 presidents got more electoral votes than Trump including Warren G. Harding and William Howard Taft not our best presidents. But not *THE* worst. That used to be George W. Bush. But no longer. It's now Donald John Trump and he hasn't even been inaugurated yet.

I have only one thing to remind Trump of: Tilden. He won the electoral college AND the popular vote, but Rutherford B. Hayes was still President.

Trump has lost the popular vote by almost 3 MILLION votes. No "winner" has lost the popular vote by such a YUUUGE margin.

So no mandate for the Orange LOOOOOSER. 54% of the voters didn't vote for him. An even larger MAJORITY of the country can't stand him.

He has and will maintain the LOWEST approval rating of any president in U.S. history. And we've had some pretty awful presidents.

Bolton is one of the Neocons who demanded we go to war in Iraq in spite of no clear and present danger.

All they had were rumors and fabricated bullshit, and Cheney, Bolton, Wolfowitz, Feith, and others pushed Bush into launching a TWO TRILLION DOLLAR MISTAKE

It cost the lives of 5000 American troops, injured many more, and resulted in the entire mess we now see with Isis, Syria, and the threats by Iran.

Bolton deserves to be tried in the Hague and found guilty of crimes against humanity.

He's a chicken hawk bullshit artist and is a despicable human being.

Bolton was my brother in laws boss. It was my brother in law that put those words in bushes speech that led us into that war. I am so ashamed of him. It has caused a division in my family. They had our children slaughtered on the battlefield for oil and $. Bolton is an Asshole.

It was also those very neocons that ended up in a Washington think tank and started this Muslim thing based solely on Obama middle name,Hussein. So,we shouldn't be surprised with this coming from asshat Bolton.

I think that Bolton is a lunatic, plain and simple. For the life of me, I cannot understand why Trump, who knows absolutely nothing about anything, is surrounding himself with such destructive people. Doesn't the 21st Republican Party have any potential leaders who know how to make things better and not just worse? What is wrong with them?

I have Trump fatigue already and he isn't even president yet. I'm frustrated by the hypocrisy the Republican Party is exhibiting. After decades of Republicans saying russia is the boogeyman they now are fine with Trumps numerous ties to Russia, Russia hacking into the DNC? They don't care or they down play it. It boggles my mind. A part of me will be happy when this blows up in the Republicans face.

Trump's choices overall have been horrendous, of course, but what kills me is his f-you attitude toward the American people with the EPA choice and now SOS and Bolton. He's completely ignoring any dissenting voices, any concerned voices. He's saying that not only does he not care what opposition there is from government people who are very in-the-know about these guys, but he also doesn't care what the citizenry thinks. And every choice is so against everything Obama worked to attain. Plus now Bolton is pretty much accusing Obama of being the hacking situation's source. Next step would be for Trump to pick someone who wouldn’t just suggest that Pres Obama committed some crime, one that is a fact and that everyone knows about, but s/he’d insist that Pres Obama absolutely did it. What pres-elect keeps nominating very questionable people and now even one who is suggesting that the current pres has created this story about foreign hacking? This is absolutely disgusting behavior by Bolton but even more so by Trump. At this point, as much as BO cares about this country and puts the country before all else, I wish he’d say an f-you to Trump and never take another one of those calls that Trump says they’ve been having. I wish BO would just write him off and tell him he’s on his own. I mean, come on! The pres-elect hiring someone who just goes right out and says it’s most likely that the Russian hacking is just something contrived by our present POTUS??!!

This is a serious request: Can anyone recommend a good book that explores, in a political, social, psychological way, why republicans are so fact-averse? I have my theories, and I've read articles that explore this, but I would really like to read an in-depth analysis of this phenomenon.

Not sure about books, but I can give you a one word answer that explains why maybe 70% of Republicans/Teaparty/Trump fans are fact averse:

      Religion

OT, but too laughable. I was just watching GMA and they talked about Melania's case against a British mag. She's claiming defamation and that the escort story caused her to have a nervous breakdown and she refused to go back on the campaign trail. It's fine for Trump to accuse Obama of not being an American and to try ruining his life, and it's fine for him to do the same kind of thing to Hillary, and not to mention all the lies he has said about so many people over his lifetime, but this thing with Melania is a no-no. it's a no-no when she had a past history that was shrouded in secrecy and lies about when she came to the US and when she worked, and of course there were nude photos of her everywhere. And we all know she met Trump and sunk her old model claws into this guy who had a playboy history. It's disgusting that the Trumps are pursuing this defamation case.
