Donald Trump press conference was a shit show. Did you expect anything else?

Damn he literally called CNN "Fake news."

Some of the takeaways include the fact that he finally admitted that Russia hacked the DNC, more or less:

“As far as hacking, I think it was Russian,” he said. “But I think we also get hacked by other countries and other people and I can say that when we lost 22 million names and everything else that was hacked recently, they didn’t make a big deal out of that, that was something that was extraordinary.”

So yeah he admits we got hacked by Russia, but thinks other hacks were worse.

As if anything could be worse than a hack which helped him to win the presidency.

He also said, that “Russia will have much greater respect for our country when I’m leading it than when other people have led it.” “You will see that.”

Yeah, I think he is confusing "respect" with "control over."

Trump also made a yuge show over signing his company over to his kids, and even had his attorney take the mic and assure all of the reporters that there was nothing to see here and everything was just fine, no need to investigate.

“I could actually run my business ... and run government at the same time,” he said. “I don’t like the way that looks but I’d be able to if I wanted to.
Also not exactly true.

But it was his attacks on the media that were the most shocking part of this:

“I want to thank a lot of the news organizations, some of whom have not treated me well over the years, a couple in particular, and they came out so strongly against that fake news,” he said. “I have great respect for the news, I have great respect for freedom of the press and all of that, but I will tell you there were some news organizations … that were so professional, so incredibly professional.”

Later on, he called BuzzFeed, which posted a document which it says is the dossier about the Russian information, “a failing pile of garbage,” and also criticized CNN for publicizing the reports on Tuesday.

CNN reporter Jim Acosta attempted to ask a follow-up question, but Mr. Trump repeatedly shut him down.

“No, not you, your organization is terrible. Quiet. Quiet,” he said. As Acosta continued trying to ask a question, talking over another reporter, Mr. Trump continued: “Don’t be rude. Don’t be rude. Don’t. Be. Rude. I’m not going to give you a question. You are fake news.”

Damn! I had never see anything like that before!

In one breath he tells the news organizations that he respects them and in the next he is essentially insulting a news outlet to their face in front of  their peers.

Usually a newly elected president has a honeymoon period with the media, but this guy  is telling them to go fuck themselves right out of the gate.

I have to say that I have watched street brawls that were not as ugly as this.

I can only imagine how much worse it gets from here.

If you noticed, his sons actually started the clapping and folks in his crowd followed their example.

I hope the media folks weren't clapping! All we could see were the 'backs' on the broadcasts of the event.

And CNN never put out that typed report that Buzzfeed supplied. All they did last night was talk about some basics that were in the report, and CNN was very careful and had four writers, one of them Bernstein, on their own story. Trump is attaching Buzzfeed to CNN to try to delegitimize CNN. CNN wnated to ask Trump today what in their report he was calling inaccurate. And they wnated to verify if the FBI is working on checking into that report, if Trump's intel brief last Friday had included all the details of that 2-page addendum, and to ask about whether Congress is taking the report seriously. Those three things were what the reporter was going to ask Trump about, the guy told Wolf B right after.

The majority in America know Trump to be nothing more than a liar and fraud and the worst white guy in our country to lead us down the path to destruction and more wars. As well as the spread of hate and fear and likely war within the country! He will 'dictate' and not be democratic in his leadership!

Trump presser rattles Chuck Todd: ‘I am struck at how normal crazy looked’

...NBC host Chuck Todd reacted to President-elect Donald Trump’s press conference on Wednesday by lamenting that “crazy” had become the new “normal.”

“I was struck big picture-wise of how normal a circus is now to us,” Todd said. “This was a circus. We’ve never seen a president-elect, a transition like we saw today.”

“The press conference gets interrupted, you have a lawyer in here [who] does half legal talk, half political spin,” the NBC host continued. “I’ve never seen that, using the lawyer to say, ‘He’s here to make America great again. And oh by the way, I’m going to play constitutional lawyer.'”

“So I am struck at how normal crazy looked to us today. I mean, this was just a crazy scene. This is the normal of Donald Trump.”

According to Todd, the press conference benefited Trump because “it made the press look disjointed, unorganized.”

“It was a performance for his supporters and his people,” he remarked. “If you’re looking for answers out of Donald Trump, it’s the one-on-one interviews. And I don’t just say that because I’m biased about one-on-one interviews on Meet the Press. It is just, he is very good at deflection.”

If you take the reports that Russia has incriminating material on Trump as reasonably credible, I would ask you to look at things from Putin’s perspective.

Let’s say you wanted to undermine US foreign policy, you wanted to do so through undermining their government, and ensuring it is too dysfunctional to executive any effective policies against Russia: such as military or diplomatic maneuvering.

Let’s say you were quite successful at this endeavor. So successful, in fact, that you got a guy elected that wholly contradicts the will of the American people.

How then, could you make that success even bigger?

I suspect this could be a plausible move by Putin: Close to Inauguration Day, either the day of or day before — close enough that there would be no stopping Obama stepping down and being able to use his executive powers — Putin releases all the incriminating material they have on Trump.

But wouldn't the incriminating evidence be more potent if the threat of releasing it continued into Trump's actual (gasp! it's so hard to write) presidency? He could then get the Trump (gasp! again) administration to do his bidding more easily. At this point, nothing looks good.

Probably the most fascinating part of this document is the inside look at Putin’s inner power circle. Many foreign policy laypersons probably assume that Putin’s hold on power in Russia is absolute. Nothing can be further from the truth. Like all dictators, Mr. Putin relies on the support of his inner circle. And the intel in the report reveals some very specific examples of a rift within his circle regarding the DNC hacks. By July 2016, for example, the document reports “extreme nervousness” about the increased attention the hacks are starting to get in the US media, and that leaders within the Kremlin were getting anxious about political blowback and that things were “starting to spiral out of control” (and if they thought that in July 2016, just imagine how they’re feeling at this very moment).

And, then I read today's issue of the Alaska Dispatch News (Anchorage newspaper) where I found a half-page ad showcasing Donald Trump with the caption "Alaska will thrive under a Trump presidency"!

That is total baloney! He will NEVER do that in our state because he is a racist, vulgar, inept, a blowhard, ego driven, ego maniac, control freak, sexual predator, liar and pro Putin and Russia!

Do you really think HE is really going to enhance the oil industry in Alaska? The price of oil is down and won't rise enough for a long time to be profitable for the oil companies to drill in Alaska. The large oil companies have basically left our state (not drilling new fields) and have no interest in us at this time. Alaska is NOT profitable to them and the layoffs show it in Alaska! Look at our unemployment ratings too....ours is much higher than the national unemployment rate! Alaska IS in financial trouble!! The Republican led Alaska Legislature led us into this mess - review the facts folks!

Trump was initially shown to have the majority of the vote in Alaska when he ran for potus, but that figure was later changed (as to absentee votes and initially questioned ballots) that reflected Hillary Clinton as the winner! THAT which was a HUGE deal and change for Alaska! A Democrat won in 'what was thought to be' a Republican majority state!

Change is coming to Alaska and Republicans in our Alaska Legislature, cities and communities are going to fight us every step of the way. Watch them - counter them, put out the facts to counter their misstatements or lies and most especially, do NOT reelect them!

Alaska is in the midst of turning blue and that could not be happier news!

Trump will NOT be good for Alaska - he's one of the most corrupt and disgusting Republicans in our country!

He will dictate and try to rule our country! Be ready to stand up and fight him and his governing methods! We are ALL going to need to be extremely vigilant!

Asked what " she would do if she had all that cash on hand: “Give it all to the homeless—NO, I’m KIDding!” she answers, shrieking with laughter. “Let’s see, I’d just have a few houses, in like the Bahamas and London. He keeps dissing the Dems and Dem voters via the DNC/Dem party references, as well as disses of Hillary, and he keeps referring only to how wonderful the states are that he won and how he'll help his voters. He has no sense of what unifying and being presidential means. Every time he talks about what he'll do as pres, he still speaks in split terms. He is still in campaign mode, but I think he really only cares about being pres to his voters.

Watch As A Man Rejoicing GOP’s Obamacare Repeal Finds Out He Has Obamacare (SCREENSHOTS)

As you may recall, Trump supporters first started to question themselves when they realized that Trump was indeed serious about repealing the Affordable Care Act (ACA), otherwise known as ObamaCare. Earlier this week, the Senate voted 51 to 48 to move forward with the Affordable Care Act (ACA) repeal.

One Trump supporter rejoiced, praising Donald Trump for “fixing this mistake [with] only a couple of weeks left of Barry’s regime.”

Little did he know he was about to get schooled.

His friends clearly weren’t pleased with his lack of empathy for those who use ACA care, commenting:

‘Really cool of you to treat those of us who need the assistance provided by the ACA with such disregard.’

The poster then arrogantly fired back:

‘First, we’re talking about Obamacare, not the ACA. Secondly, my health insurance is through the ACA, so I’m definitely not the kind of person to look down on others from needing help… I’m just saying I’m glad this is finally happening because Obamacare was a failure from the start…’

...Still certain he is well informed and knows what’s going on, the poster retorts:

‘I’m not on Obamacare. My health insurance is through the ACA (Affordable Care Act), which was what they had to come up with after Obamacare crashed and burned as bad as it did. So I’m gonna be fine.’

Instead of going after the insurance companies, they punish the little people, such slime.

And this clueless moron is part of the problem, next he will want the government to stay out of his medicare.

This Is One of the Most Surreal Bits from Donald Trump's Bizarre Press Conference

...... But when Trump started talking about unverified details from Russia's alleged dossier on his behavior in a Moscow hotel room, things got weird.

TRUMP: Lemme just tell you what I do. When I leave our country, I'm a very high-profile person, would you say? I am extremely careful. I'm surrounded by bodyguards. I'm surrounded by people. And I always tell them — anywhere, but I always tell them if I'm leaving this country, "Be very careful, because in your hotel rooms and no matter where you go, you're gonna probably have cameras." I'm not referring just to Russia, but I would certainly put them in that category. And number one, "I hope you're gonna be good anyway. But in those rooms, you have cameras in the strangest places. Cameras that are so small with modern technology, you can't see them and you won't know. You better be careful, or you'll be watching yourself on nightly television." I tell this to people all the time.

But Trump’s condemnations of the press go much farther than a single report. Media bias and corruption have become a recurring explanation for stories the president-elect doesn’t like. And with a Twitter following of nearly 20 million people, he has a way of getting people to listen.

    ReplyDelete
  53. He's getting away with this and more. He'll fill his coffers and his family's and then walk away. We are all fools including the media. There is a lot of power there, but no one brave and strong to wield it, so Trump took it. We are going to lose a lot to this man even as we are now.

He has taken down Obama for all the good feel rhetoric See how much of Obama legacy remains within months of Trump, even days. We've lost this very badly. It will take years to regain ground. Look at the very few Democrat run states now. Maybe 4 with Democrats as governor and legislature to support. THis is a pounding suffered and a new order is here.

It needs to be noted here that there are a "majority" of Americans (over Trump!)in full support of President Obama! A majority that admires, loves and respects President Obama.

Plus, President Obama will be staying in D.C. and I'm sure will be countering Trump as needed or required. I will feel much safer having him there!

Trump has NOT taken down President Obama! Too many in our country will continue to support him as well as his outstanding two-termed presidency.

Trump is the one that will go down and I'm betting it will be in the first year of his presidency. Either via assassination or impeachment. The guy proves time and time again that he could care less about the laws or norms of a 'real' POTUS!

Also, President Obama's approval rating is far superior to that of Trump! There is little respect for Trump within our country! And, there will be less and less the more he talks and pulls his crap!
