Here is irrefutable evidence that more people are opposed to him and his policies than are supporting him and his policies.
And remember, this is JUST in DC.
There were huge protests like this all OVER the country.
So riddle me this Batman. Exactly how did this guy win more electoral votes again?
P.S. This protest yesterday, counting just the participants in the United States, is now being estimated to have included an astonishing 3.2 to 4.2 million people. Making it the largest protest in American history.
That's right deplorables, the largest protest in US history was against YOUR guy.
And that does not even take into account the number of people in other countries that also protested.
We were 7,000 strong in Ottawa, the largest protest march ever held.
ReplyDeleteThat's a great turnout, thanks to Ottawa for joining in! I marched in Austin and was rejuvenated by all the young women and men marching. While we didn't have the numbers of some places it was over 40,000 strong, some say closer to 50,000( hard to judge exactly because many didn't sign in because they lines were swamped and many joined us along the route. Some even marched Friday afternoon and Saturday.
DeleteHeartfelt thanks to every single person in this world that marched. To see this kind of support, well let's just say, I don't easily cry. I will never forget the millions of faces.
DeleteAnd to all of the other countries, you guys make some damn good signs! Not that the US didn't go above and beyond.
"The final national crowd estimate is that somewhere between 3.6 million and 4.5 million people marched across the country in Women's March On Washington.low-end estimate is 3.66 million marchers. The high-end estimate is 4.57 million. Whether it is the low or high estimate that is accurate the Women’s March On Washington shattered the previous record for the largest one-day protest in the United States."
DeleteThe Women’s March low-end estimate is more than three and a half times bigger than ANYthing that has ever been done before in the United States of America."
Wow, Barbara, I didn't know you were from Ottawa. I always enjoy your thoughtful posts.
DeleteI'm from Denver. Hello to Canada! I've been to Banff and to Cape Breton, the people were wonderful!
...in Ottawa. So, so cheered by the protests around the world and in America. Time to fight back. Here are some photos. We are not alone.

No, Canada, you are not alone and we are pleased to see that so many people on every continent feel the same way. People marched for all sorts of reasons, because of issues that mattered most to them, in sorrow that an election was stolen and that a potentially great woman president was refused the victory that had been hers, in fear that many good people will lose their jobs in federal agencies that have been truth tellers (NASA, NOAA, FDA, and many more) until now, in sorrow that the Constitution that we hold close to our hearts is already being shredded by the Trump administration, in deepest concern about the disaster that Donald Trump is bringing us all.
DeleteBeaglemom
Hahahaa. This is the exact logic of nutjobs:
Delete"a potentially great woman president was refused the victory that had been hers"
You just simply believe it was hers, a 'coronation' just to walk right on into. Hillary had the same thinking problem, which is why she lost.
"the Constitution that we hold close to our hearts is already being shredded by the Trump administration"
DeletePlease provide the exact parts of the constitution that have been shredded by the Trump Administration beaglemom. You made the statement, now back it up. Waiting to hear what parts of the constitution have been shredded in the last 48 hours.
Nobody owes you a fucking thing. I command you to shut the fuck up. I'm positive you'll get right on that, correct?
DeleteAre your guts green? Such a miserable human-like being.
10:11 -- Provision 37.19: "No elected official of the Government of the United States shall be admitted to any share or part of this lease benefit that may arise therein".
DeleteTrump hasn't divested his interests in the Trump International Hotel, for one, and has said he has no intentions to do so.
Meanwhile, his companies accept payments from foreign countries.
He is in direct violation of the Constitution from day one of his presidency.
Read a pertinent article in "The Nation" if you really want to understand. The Washington Post is informative on the matter, too.
Of course, I doubt you will. It's much more fun to insult people than it is to make the effort of actually learning something, isn't it?
Trump is POTUS because he won Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania, large industrial states turned into rusting relics and jobless magnets. People forget the steel plants emissions were choking the locals so regulations were put in place for cleaner air. The billionaires saw it was cheaper and more profitable to move overseas than upgrade the plants so they closed. Now new technologies slowly take over but there are only so many that can backfill the old sites with new buildings and jobs. Once your manufacturing base leaves you're screwed.
ReplyDeletetRump won because the Russians rigged voting machines and for no other reason.
Delete6:36, you're right. I wonder how many of those voters know Humpty Trumpty bought his steel for his buildings from China?
DeleteAdd to that the number of manufacturing jobs lost to advanced technologies like robotics and you can see more of why our high-paying jobs that used to exist are not open to the replaced workers. Younger ones, yes, due to trade skills that include those technologies, but the older workers? Not unless they willingly take retraining courses - and IF Humpty Trumpty doesn't eliminate the finances for the courses.
(Wouldn't THAT bite the asses of those who voted for him believing his lies about JOBS JOBS JOBS! I mean, come ON. Who was stupid enough to believe he would bring back the coal jobs when the market for coal is WAY down and natural gas is a better bargain anyway right now?)
Of course, there are other reasons as well, but those are the 2 biggest that I know of.
@6:46 -- May tRump's rump always sit on thorns.
DeleteI can only speak for MI because I live there. It was noted that the voter logs and number of ballots counted by machine did not match in Wayne County ie Detroit, major democratic strong hold.
DeleteTrump only won Mi by 10,000 votes, .1%. Whether he would have still won after a recount we will never know, but at least people might stop questioning his legitimacy. (except of course for the elephant in the room putin)
The republicans fought hard to screw up what few votes they did recount. Again leaving the question of what are they hiding.
The economy of Mi is based principally on the auto industry and all the companies that supply the auto industry, that collapses and the state is ruined.
The auto companies, not only have redesigned more factories using robots, but also move many factories out of state to places with NO UNIONS therefore less pay.
Trump is POTUS because he won on a technicality. Not because the people selected him.
DeleteBefore the next election, something has to be done about the voting methods used. Fix the gerrymandered districts, make voting easier for all citizens. Any candidate MUST show their tax returns, and have a LEGITIMATE medical exam. No more faked doctor letters. No REAL doctor would make a statement such as "If elected Donald J(ackass) tRump will be the fittest person ever to hold the office of president" The man is bloated, overweight and STUPID.
Deletelol none of that is going to happen 8:22, none of it. You know why? Because you are just hysterical Hillary didn't win, and there is no reason to change the whole process just because you are hysterical that your terrible candidate failed.
DeleteTechnicality 8:17? What technicality?
DeleteOh so full of doom and gloom! I bet this one is the life of the party.
DeleteYour hideousness trumps hysterical.
In real life, there are many reasons to question our voting system.
6:46am No, the voting machines were not rigged, that's one thing we do know.

DeleteThe technicality is the electoral college. It over-rides the will of the people if it differs from the will of the people. So, in this election, it did that. It voted for him over Mrs. Clinton who in this election was chosen by the people. That is a fact. More people voted for her than him, almost 3 million more. Had there not been the wrinkle of the electoral college, he would not be president. He was not chosen by the people, plain and simple. There was NO mandate, not even a small one. If he could acknowledge this FACT, and try to understand why he was not the winner of the votes of the people, and try to address the concerns of the majority of the people, he might have a fighting chance with the people. But, his fragile ego will never allow that to happen, so he has no chance. And, the protests and marches must continue to show how the people do not want him and his plans to mess with our country.

Kellyanne Conway snaps at Chuck Todd: Sean Spicer’s lies about crowd size are ‘alternative facts’
...During an interview on Meet the Press, Chuck Todd asked Conway why Spicer felt the need to berate the press over the weekend for accurately reporting that Trump’s crowd sizes were dwarfed by the attendance at President Barack Obama’s 2008 inauguration.
“Don’t be so overly dramatic about it, Chuck,” Conway scoffed. “They’re saying it’s a falsehood and our press secretary, Sean Spicer, gave alternative facts to that.”
“Wait a minute,” Todd interrupted. “Alternative facts! Four of the five facts that he uttered were just not true. Alternative facts are not facts, they’re falsehoods.”
Conway tried to deflect, but the host pressed on: “You sent the press secretary out there to utter a falsehood on the smallest, pettiest thing. And I don’t understand why you did it.”

Chris Wallace took reince priebus to task for over them whining about the inauguration numbers calling their arguments ridiculous
DeleteFACTS & NUMBER$ DON'T LIE-EVER.
DeleteIt is becoming clearer and clearer how needy this man is. He HAS to be the most popular man ever. The continuing evidence to the contrary is driving him crazy. So, "his people" tell him what he wants to hear to make him feel loved. But, then they have to go out and tell lies as they do to show him they are right.
DeleteThis is the saddest situation. He is seriously flawed, they enable him, and that is how they control him. Since they are the only ones he sees and talks to -- other than his kids -- who (seem to) love him.
Evil to the core, all of them. They coddle him and then, probably, tell him what to do. They are pulling the strings I betcha.
To see how really needy he is, and how sad that is to us all, just read what he said to the CIA yesterday.
http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news/ex-cia-boss-brennan-others-rip-trump-speech-front-memorial-n710366
It is all about him, it is always all about him. He needs serious help and his people are not going to do that.
Unless he can accept that more people genuinely voted against him than for him, and begin to ponder how HE can change to address their needs, wants, desires, there is no hope what-so-ever of this battle ever stopping.
BTW, he asked why these people didn't vote? Well, seems to me that the possible count of protesters in USA may about equal the counts on how many more voted against him than for him.
Alternative fact? There is no such thing possible. Facts are true and actual and therefore there can't be "another version" that is also fact.
DeleteThese people need to stop living in their alternative universe and live in the land of facts with the rest of us.
So it begins (hope, hope) -- the media manning up, or I should say, womaning up!
DeleteKellyAnn ConArtist and Reeces Pieces made the rounds with their agenda of lies, which was obvious if you watched more than one program, Instead of answering the “hard questions” Kelly Ann say “ lets talk about .... Insert lie... blah blah”
DeleteChris Wallace took Reeces pieces to the mat.
Kelly Ann was also spreading her lies on Face the Nation with John Dickerson.
She tried to change the subject by saying the media got the thing about replacing the bust of who ever, as her talking point the media lied about that so they lied about the numbers, even though the reported corrected his statement and apologized.
DeleteWith tRump it is all about "ratings" He still thinks the election was a reality show. Someone needs to clue him in on the REAL world. Donny believes his own lies, constantly. Imagine if it came about that Arnold got higher ratings for the crap reality show than Don the Con did? He would lose what is left of his tiny mind.
DeleteIt begins with Awareness, blossoms with shared enthusiasm, and flourishes with cooperative action. We marched yesterday, we spread the joy, and now, we will go home invigorated and empowered to take the next steps. Beyond the protest is civic involvement and rational persuasion. Let's use it to defy this administration without violence, and without becoming the thing we protest. Fired up and ready to go!
ReplyDeleteDemocracy has to start at the grass roots. If the local sherif in town is a voted-in racist regressive, or the anti-science school board is voted in by Creationists -- there is no democracy. It is local first, then national.
Delete6:42 Beautifully echoes my thoughts today.
DeleteBarbara Carlson..and that is exactly what we have to do!
when our locally elected Sheriff became too authoritarian in his use of power, we first took to being witnesses to all police actions, so that we could see for ourselves how things were being handled (not just letting the media tell us what the truth was). Then we kept up the scrutiny, fairly applied, until the next election; whereupon, we voted him out. And the man we voted in was fully informed of our various points of view. Civic duty in action in small town U.S.A.
DeleteBecause they showed up to protest but not to vote.
ReplyDeleteHahaa exactly.
DeleteGryphen: "Here is irrefutable evidence that more people are opposed to him and his policies than are supporting him and his policies."
Um, yeah..... Thats not real evidence though Gryph, that is better termed 'Gryph pretend evidence', which isn't based in reality and doesn't hold any value. What this really shows is a bunch of crazy women who assumed that it was Hillary's turn, and they are ultra pissed off it wasn't. Awe too bad.
So Gryph when are you getting your balls cut off and growing your hormone tits? It is pretty obvious that is what you really want.
No, the people who marched voted and I would guess that almost all of them voted for the winner, Hillary Clinton. These were well-informed, serious and concerned citizens on the streets yesterday. In foreign countries there were similarly serious citizens, but of other countries, who are concerned about the future of the world.
DeletePS By the way, my husband and I both voted - for Hillary Clinton - but that was not why we marched yesterday. .

ReplyDeleteConway: People Expect Trump 'To Be The Only Big Man In The Equation'

Senior Trump advisor Kellyanne Conway said in an interview Sunday morning that White House press secretary Sean Spicer wasn't lying about crowd size at the President's inauguration—he was just giving "alternative facts."
"On this matter of crowd size, I think it is a symbol for the unfair and incomplete treatment that this president often receives," Conway told Chuck Todd on MSNBC's "Meet The Press."
"You did not answer the question of why the president asked the White House press secretary to come out in front of the podium for the first time and utter a falsehood," Todd interrupted. "Why did he do that? It undermines the credibility of the entire White House press office on day one."
"No, it doesn't. Don't be so overly dramatic about it, Chuck," Conway replied. "You're saying it's a falsehood, and they're giving Sean Spicer, our press secretary, gave alternative facts to that. But the point really is—"
"Wait a minute. Alternative facts? Alternative facts?" Todd interjected, looking incredulous. "Four of the five facts he uttered were just not true."

Look at those numbers of people! And remember some that may have made the journey to DC chose instead to attend marches closer to home. At around 2 PM, March began as all this people plus the many on the mall alreasy because could not get to rally began to pour North across mall to Constitution Street. So large, had to take an unplanned route and many side unplanned routes were created by marchers just because no place to go.

DeleteSecret Service slaps down White House claim that ‘magnetometers’ shrank inaugural crowd size
ReplyDeleteAt a testy Saturday evening press conference, newly minted White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer offered a pair of novel defenses for the apparent small size of the crowds attending the inauguration of Pres. Donald Trump.
“This was the first time in our nation’s history that floor coverings have been used to protect the grass on the [National] Mall,” Spicer said. “That had the effect of highlighting any areas where people were not standing, while in years past the grass eliminated this visual. This was also the first time that fencing and magnetometers went as far back on the Mall, preventing hundreds of thousands of people from being able to access the Mall as quickly as they had in inaugurations past.”
However, CNN’s Jim Acosta spoke with a representative of the U.S. Secret Service, who said “no magnetometers were used on the National Mall for Trump’s inauguration.”

yabbut there were probably a lot of guys that stayed home. They were worried about the magnetometers shrinking their huge junk. You need to add a few hundred thousand to the inaguration total attendence to account for this shrinkage!

As America enters the Trump era, cast members from SNL bid a sad farewell to outgoing President Barack Obama with a moving version of ‘To Sir, With Love’ to end the show Saturday night.
ReplyDeleteStanding before a simple black and white portrait of the president, cast member Cecily Strong began the song made popular by pop singer Lulu in the 1967 film of the same name that starred Sidney Poitier as a black teacher in a rough and tumble British school.
Strong was then joined in harmonies by Sasheer Zamata and, as the song concluded, Strong held up a coffee mug, saying, “We got you a mug. It says ‘World’s Best President.'”
“Thank you, don’t go,” Zamata added.

DeleteYeah, Reince...spin away, but that won't change facts. I know Trump and his administration expect us to believe what you say instead of our "lying eyes," but here's a lovely time-lapse video from PBS showing the sun rising over the National Mall, the crowd's arrival, AND its departure.

I was in DC yesterday for the march. There were a million people there. What you do not see from the photos are the SIDE streets, which were also full of people. We arrived at 1000 and could not even get to the mall. We were with a crush of people at 3rd and Indpendence until 1pm. We were able to start marching by taking mutiple jammed side streets and cutting onto the route about 3/4 of a mile into it. I think many in the mall never even got to march to the WH, or if they did, it was until much later. We reach ed the WH at 3:10 and walking back to union station we saw the parade continuing, plus many side streets full.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, not going to let any media or Trump rewrite the truth. I'd say every person there voted in November and those that did not could not because of measures to make it impossible for them to do so.
It was an inspiring event. Everyone was nice and kind, even when you were literally pinned against a stranger and could not move. No one I saw panicked or was short tempered. Just calm and determined. People were kind to the elderly and pregnant, making room for them as able.
I'm proud of every single person in DC yesterday.
I posted elsewhere in this thread, and can echo every word. We got in early enough to get through the mall to near the Air & Space museum, but from 10a onward it was so jam packed, people could hardly move in any direction if they wanted to. I've never been in a crowd like that: I spent 5 solid hours standing, hardly able to move. If there had been the slightest agitation or provocation, things could have gone very wrong, very fast. I did not hear an unkind word, or see an inconsiderate act, all day. I didn't even hear a single baby cry...and I confess that I thought the people who were there with infants were kind of insane.
DeleteThe DC Metro did release ridership figures: ridership on Saturday rivaled that on inauguration day in 2009, and blew the previous day's ridership out of the water. (The ridership for tRump's inauguration was lower than ridership on an average Wednesday. SAD.)
ReplyDeleteTheir gaslighting isn't going to work this time. We have ample evidence of their lies. We ALL saw with our own eyes all those empty stands, the empty parade route, the half empty National Mall. They cannot refute these lies anymore.
This is the first test of the administration. And they are failing MISERABLY.

The dRUMPf machine has shredded the constitution. Contact your representatives, DAILY!
Also, several people, including me, who were vigilant about any "funny stuff" going on stated out loud that if there was violence or terrorism, it was NOT NOT NOT going to be started by anyone from "this group". The cops were also definitely on our side as was the national guard. Winking, smiling, being gracios, calmly answering repeated directions questions and bathroom questions. They totally got us and knew we were well behaved women/men/kids
ReplyDeleteI saw somewhere that the NY cops were friendly to marchers. Possibly because they think or know that tRUMP has organized crime connections?

ReplyDeleteThe Latest: Trump changes course after denouncing protesters
The Associated Press
Trump tweeted Sunday morning that "Peaceful protests are a hallmark of our democracy."
He then continued, "Even if I don't always agree, I recognize the rights of people to express their views."
That came less than two hours after he first denounced the protests, which drew more than 1 million people. He tweeted he was "under the impression that we just had an election!" and adds: "Why didn't these people vote?"
tRump should face the facts. Putin is NOT in control of everything. He "fixed" the election with rigged voting machines, voter intimidation and propaganda, but we have minds of our own. We want QUALITY people in office, not riff raff we are addled with. Donnie threw Malaria to the wolves, having her test run the jewellery sales on the WH web site. Next would come Ivanka shoes, Donnie's steaks, water etc. It failed. What a family of grifters, unfit to inhabit the WH. Maybe he KNOWS this and that is why he wants to stay in his gilded penthouse in NY, close to his Russian friends.
DeleteUmmmm, we DID vote. For Hillary!
DeleteTo the tune of millions more than for you, Cheetos Face.
(Here's a funny one. Spell checker knows how to spell Cheetos. With an 's' on the end.)
I deleted this from yesterday's March thread and am re-posting here: I live in Northern VA and was at the March in Washington. People (men, women, children, of all ages, races, heritages, etc.) were kind, helpful, smart, strong, enthusiastic, respectful, and determined. The police officers did their jobs in a very helpful, respectful manner. I have to give them credit, considering the anarchists who showed up on Friday who (NOT as part peaceful protests, and against the momentum of the movement) attacked some of the officers and vandalized some businesses.
ReplyDeleteA UConn professor and others are keeping track of crowd estimates in the document below per this article: http://www.politicususa.com/2017/01/21/womens-march-biggest-protest-history-estimated-2-4-million-march.html
Doc:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1xa0iLqYKz8x9Yc_rfhtmSOJQ2EGgeUVjvV4A8LsIaxY/htmlview?sle=true#gid=0
DC estimates: LOW end: 500,000; HIGH: 1,000,000. I believe it’s at least greater than 500,000 per the data, photos, and communicating with people who arrived late and were backed up 1.5+ miles from where I was in several directions. Trump & company's measly 200,000 (probably less because the estimates were based on Metro ridership, photos, etc., and a lot of those folks in DC on Friday were protesting) can't touch this. Trump & company are lying out their asses about their own estimates. Worldwide protest estimates: 3.5 to 4.5 million.
In case you didn't attend or were too far away to hear, the takeaway message is that we MUST keep up the momentum and make our representatives, our government, work for us. Although some speakers expressed that we will work together with Trump if he listens to us and agrees to work for/with all of us, there is no evidence so far to indicate that he will (per the past and his Twitter comments this morning). And there was nothing conciliatory about any of this. EVERY WEEKDAY, we are supposed to make a phone call to a local or national representative (Congress, your own statehouse, etc.) as part of our daily routine to protest or tell our representatives how they should be working for us. Monday, call 202-225-3121, ask to speak to your U.S. senators' offices (they'll ask for your zip code), and tell them that you do NOT accept Betsy DeVos as secretary of education and that you do not want your senator to accept her, either.
Michael Moore (the speaker who informed us of the first the “assignment”) and others are supposed to have/give assignments every day so that people work in unison. Even if your representative is progressive, call anyway, as it keeps the switchboard VERY busy, which gets attention and disrupts congressional business. Moore stated that part of the decision earlier in the month to pull the changes planned by Republicans to the Office of Congressional Ethics (the office that conducts ethics monitoring on them their own control!) was due to pressure by constituents who called/jammed the switchboard.
You can also text "women" (whether you're a woman or not) to 40649 -- this is what they had us do at the rally -- to get on the email list for next steps. You'll get a request to send your email address.
Michael Moore made the announcement about the ongoing activism, and he and others (people and organizations) are supposed to have every day's "assignment" posted on their websites or Facebook pages, etc. I haven't seen anything yet; hopefully, that's to come.
Thanks! Done. Shared.

President Donald Trump questioned the more than 1 million people around the country who marched in protest of his presidency on Saturday and criticized the celebrities who joined the demonstrations.
“Watched protests yesterday but was under the impression that we just had an election!” Trump tweeted early Sunday. “Why didn’t these people vote? Celebs hurt cause badly.”
Millions of people around the world turned out for hundreds of simultaneous demonstrations on Saturday. More than 1 million people joined marches in the United States, including hundreds of thousands in Washington, D.C., for the Women’s March on Washington. Madonna, who performed at the rally in D.C., also delivered a profanity-laced speech.
“It took this horrific moment of darkness to wake us the f*** up,” she told the crowd. “And to our detractors that insist that this march will never add up to anything: F*** you. F*** you. … It is the beginning of much-needed change.”
Trump did not respond to Madonna’s remarks directly. Two hours after his initial tweeted response to the protests, the president issued a less divisive message.
“Peaceful protests are a hallmark of our democracy,” Trump tweeted. “Even if I don’t always agree, I recognize the rights of people to express their views.”
In between, the former “Celebrity Apprentice” star bragged about the television ratings for his inauguration.
“Wow, television ratings just out,” Trump tweeted. “31 million people watched the Inauguration, 11 million more than the very good ratings from 4 years ago!”
But according to Nielsen, Trump’s inauguration audience was significantly lower than the 37.7 million viewers who tuned in to watch President Obama’s 2009 inauguration.
Overall, Trump’s inauguration was the fifth highest in total viewers, ranking behind Presidents Ronald Reagan (41.8 million), Obama (37.7 million), Jimmy Carter (34.1 million), and Richard Nixon (33 million).
That's for TV.
He can't stand the fact that Obama's first inauguration beat him in those present so he has to LIE and say "four years ago" because, duh, second inaugurations are always lower than first.
Trump will be lucky to finish his term. He'll never have a second inauguration.
Let me count the ways that this inauguration was less "popular" than previous ones, especially recent ones:
ReplyDeleteFrom Rolling Stone:
200: The number of buses that have applied for Trump inauguration parking permits, compared to 3,000 for Obama's 2009 inauguration
1,200: The number of buses that have applied for parking permits for the Women's March on Washington Saturday
http://www.rollingstone.com/politics/features/donald-trumps-inauguration-by-the-numbers-w461705
And, TV ratings are out and guess what? Fewer watched this one on TV than Obama's first inauguration in 2009:
http://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-trump-inauguration-ratings-idUSKBN15600S
And, demand for hotel rooms was down vs for Obama, and maybe than for the march yesterday:
http://fortune.com/2016/12/05/donald-trump-washington-dc-inauguration/
The pattern is clear -- fewer people came to DC to see this man sworn in that did in 2009 to see the best president of our time sworn in. EVERY PIECE of evidence supports that.
And, we can't forget his abysmal popularity ratings, so far below any other president going into office.
He and his enablers really need to accept his unpopularity and figure out some way to deal with it -- and "alternative" facts or bullying won't do it.
MSNBC reported that for the march Sat 15,000 participants used airbnb, because the hotels were gouged 900%. Airbnb hosts made 4.9 million. Take that hotels.
DeleteJesus Christ. Just unfriended my best friend growing up - who needed an abortion her senior year, got one via PP and his it from her parents with my help...has a lesbian daughter...who is now a crazy RWCNJ. She posed that everyone who protested yesterday is having a temper tantrum like a 2 year old and get over it.
ReplyDeleteThese people aren't even work my time or memories.
We have work to do.
I have only unfriended one person off facebook this round of elections, I think I cleared out a majority of the creepers during the Obama yrs already. Of course I would have called her out on the abortion before unfriending her, but you must be nicer than I am.
DeleteI did type it 10:05 . I typed "Hmm, I guess you never had an abortion then?" But then decided not too - I don't know if she ever told her parents, who are alive still. So, I just decided not worth my time.
DeleteHey, I know someone who admits to having had 3 abortions, and she still voted for him. Other than this real weakness (for the repuglicans) she is one of the smartest people I have ever known. Is usually very factually oriented. But, she has Fox News on 24 hours a day and thinks the NYT and WaPo are too liberal. It boggles my mind.
DeleteI wonder how many tried to come and turned around due to crazy lines at Metro etc? I tried to cone in from Rosslyn at about 9:45 and there was a 30 min wait. Took metro opposite direction to Arlington cemetery and walked from there. Got there at about 10:30. If I was not fit, had kids with me, etc I could not have done that.
ReplyDeleteAfter hearing first reports of the crowds my niece and her husband decided it would be best if he stayed home with their young infant instead of trying to get through with the baby and all the things first time parents now haul around :) BTW, no dis meant at first time parents, but those of us with multiple children know that with each addition we carried less and less for the baby.
DeleteThe buses and trains in LA were filled with kids. Some had strollers but mostly they were being carried in slings or on shoulders. The ones on the way home looked exhausted but they weren't cranky or crying. The parents looked exhausted too, so I admire their determination.
DeleteI got there (near Air & Space) around 9am, close enough to big speakers but still nowhere near the stage. The mall and the streets packed in behind us in all directions, fast. There were mobs of people who got to DC but couldn't get within a mile of the rally stage. We heard later from people who had joined impromptu marches in other directions; a friend told me today that continuous crowds were streaming past where she was, towards the end of the official march route, for hours when I was still texting her that the official march hadn't started yet.
Delete500K is a low-ball estimate. People of all colors and faiths, from all walks of life. That tRump guy turns out to be a uniter after all.
He keeps proving over and over, we are right; he does not have the temperament or mental stability to be president.
ReplyDeleteAlready attacking protesters, didn’t vote, all celebrities fault.
Instead of putting on his big boy pants, acting like an adult and acknowledging the protesters and their concerns.
He puts on his bully pants and attacks and demeans, much like trump troll that comments on this blog. He sends out his spin-doctors to argue how large the crowds were at the inauguration, as if it was of great national importance. Instead it illustrates how insecure he really is.
Not only were there millions protesting in the USA, it was a worldwide event.
Little donnie thinks by winning the election he automatically get the respect of the American people and the world. It doesn’t work that way, he has to EARN our respect and so far he has everything to diminish it.
Missed Alec last night, but the putin sketch was funny!!

Watch: SNL ridicules Kellyanne Conway’s desperate climb to fame with over-the-top musical parody
In a fairly elaborate reproduction of a musical number form the hit play “Chicago,” Saturday Night Live mocked Kelyanne Conway’s obvious glee at becoming famous as the face of the Trump administration — while also making her appear desperate for the attention.
Using an appearance on CNN’s The Lead with Jake Tapper as a jumping off point, Kellyanne (played by cast member Kate McKinnon) fantasizes about being famous in a production number that includes an all-male chorus line, a hall of mirrors and an enormous red neon sign that simply reads: “Conway.”
Notable in the lyrics in the song Conway belts out, is the line: “And if it all goes up in flames/At least the world will know my name.”

Oi!
ReplyDeleteAgain, we're all falling for it. This bullshit about crowd size is a distraction. Trump doesn't want people to know that literally -- LITERALLY -- the first fucking thing he did as president was raise the cost of people's mortgages. One swipe of the pen cost millions of people hundreds of dollars a year.
Let's stay focused on what matters -- not the pissing match over whose is bigger.
Don't forget HEALTH INSURANCE.
DeleteIn the LA March yesterday, the first woman I talked to was there because of that swipe of Trump's pen on the mortgages. This woman was 63 and had never been to a demonstration in her entire life, but that did it for her.
Deletehttp://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/trump-cut-mortgage-insurance_us_5882765ee4b0e3a73568f0a4?tt04peymcm84r6bt9
Delete"With what may have been his first presidential order, Donald Trump made it more expensive for working- and middle-class Americans to buy their first homes. The move will increase costs for 750,000 to 850,000 Americans in the next year alone, according to the National Association of Realtors.
The Obama administration had said last week that the Federal Housing Administration would drop the cost of mortgage insurance it sells by almost a third to 0.60 percent. But after Trump took office, the Department of Housing and Urban Development, which oversees the FHA, told lenders the fee cut was off. The reversal of the reduction will mean that homebuyers who borrow $200,000 under the program will see their mortgage insurance fees go up by $500 a year relative to what the Obama administration had ordered, according to figures released by the FHA when the cut was announced.
The reduction was intended to help partially offset the cost of rising mortgage rates and was scheduled to go into effect on Jan. 27. The government sells the insurance in case borrowers default."
People trying to say that the press doctored photos of the mall showing fewer people at tRumps inauguration are just crazy. Here is a link to a time lapse video that shows the size of the crowds over the course of hours.

The higher quality version that PBS (and several other news outlets) has also includes the time stamp which would show it is authentic. The only way that the mall was full during the swearing in ceremony would be if all the white areas in the pictures were actually tRump supporters wearing their clan robes!
I heard they were crouched under the tarps because of the rain.
DeleteYeah, the Deplorables are really stretching incredulity to try to cover the ass (and ego) of Hair Furor.
Not tarps, mlaiuppa; white sheets.
DeleteMy only problem is the lack of a time stamp. To clinch the argument, posters should give the time or time as best they know it. Slate did this and it's pretty clear, DJT is full of shitte.
ReplyDeleteNo need for a time stamp.
DeleteThe internet is forever!
The new PEETUS' pic is taken 30 minutes before the swearing in ceremony and, in fact, that is the exact time stamp( 30 minutes before President Obama's swearing in) on the Obama inauguration photo that tRump stole.

And of course there was the voter suppression and disenfranchisement in the swing states.
We'll never know what other corrupt shit was going on with vote counts.
Bottom line, the most corrupt and illegitimate election in modern history. As more information is exposed (if Trump doesn't manage to suppress and hide it) it will be worse and worse.
But the damage is already done. Even if he's impeached, those executive orders he's quickly signing will still stand.
You are so right. Trump also had the enormous help of Comey's letter, the lies on Facebook and Fox and the Crossreader which threw out thousands of eligible names rendering them helpless to vote on election day.
