President Obama awarding Joe Biden the Presidential Medal of Freedom is the video we all deserve to see at the end of the day.

I swear that it seems that all President Obama wants to do these days is hit me right in the feels.

At this point I am just grabbing a box of tissues every time I see him step to the lectern.

You can literally FEEL the love between these two men, and watching them together is now like an antidote to the blues.

I am not going to bother telling you all that I am going to miss these two, because I think by this point we are all on the same page.

P.S. Here is Joe Biden's response after receiving this completely unexpected award.

This is the end. Pres. Obama leaves us all alone with this maniac. I wii remember everyone, particularly republicans, who support this aberration because they see something in it for them (as individuals).

If this was a democrat, I would be the same.

President Obama is not leaving us all alone. Did you watch his speech the other night? And, frankly, no Democrat would ever match Donald Trump in treachery or deception or gross ignorance.

"I had to get through those two debates." Yes, he did, Tundra Twat's first because they all KNEW she was an idiot, yet don't pick on the poor defenseless female. "You owe me," when he walked offstage, to his handlers.

By all means, $arah, slam them. Or is your PAC money so dried up that it will have to come out of your own pocket and mouth? In that case, sweet cheeks, better to let it go.

And the bar is now set so low for those coming in next. Even with all he promised on the campaign trail, the bar is actually very low for Trump, as well as Pence.

I'd actually say that the 'bar is so HIGH' for the Trump group to follow because of the outstanding job President Obama and VP Biden have accomplished with their leadership skills.

Trump and Pence have a LOT to live up to and follow, not 'less'!

After Jan 20th, President Trump will be presenting President Putin the "Presidential Medal of Freedom", an award bestowed by the President of the United States and is—along with the comparable Congressional Gold Medal—the highest civilian award of the United States.

Of course that's after he presents one to himself, First Ladies Melania and Ivanka, Donnie Jr, Eric, Barron and the outsider daughter Tiffany, David Duke and Steve Bannon

What incredible leadership we had in the White House for the past eight years. It saved us from a rampant "tea party" GOP intent on destroying this country. We will sorely miss President Obama, First Lady Michelle Obama, Vice President Biden and "Second Lady" Jill Biden. They could not have served is better.

Dumped inaugural parade announcer gets new job: report

The inaugural parade announcer who was recently replaced after 60 years on the job has landed a new role, according to a new report.

Charlie Brotman, 89, will comment on the Jan. 20 event as part of NBC4's team in Washington, D.C., The Washington Post said Thursday.

“I was down, I was disappointed, and I thought I would be doing it for the next 100 years,” he said of getting replaced last week. "Now I’m not thinking about the old news. I’m only thinking about good news.

“Now, I’m all young and excited again. It’s a new day. Instead of talking to a few thousand people I’m talking to a few million people.”

NBC4, which is NBC’s affiliate in the D.C. region, said Brotman would draw on his deep knowledge of past inaugurations during next week’s event...

President-elect Donald Trump’s team decided last week it would not use Brotman’s services, breaking a tradition that began with former President Dwight D. Eisenhower in 1957.

The president-elect’s staff instead opted for Steve Ray, a 58-year-old freelance radio announcer.

Brotman on Monday said finding out he had been replaced for the 12th inaugural parade was “really terrible."

“I was disappointed because I thought I would be the announcer, and then when I read the email, I thought I was going to commit suicide,” he told CNN.

"I looked at my email, then I got the shock of my life. I felt like [former boxer] Muhammad Ali had hit me in the stomach.

OT, but we saw France’s conservative candidate Marine Le Pen having coffee at Trump Tower Thursday, and the fact that she was there was brushed aside when reporters tried finding out. The reason is now available at the top link here. The person who spoke to the reporter was happy to blab. Read through and reach the bottom, and you’ll enjoy a video of Trump in his man boobs glory. I’m also including a link to articles about Marine Le Pen and her father Jean-Marie, who she forced out of the party in order to detoxify it because her father’s anti-Semitic statements had gone too far. Among other things, he dismissed the Holocaust as a “detail” of history. Of course, neo-Nazis who are younger know when they should keep their mouths shut. But Marine Le Pen has made her own statements that are pretty disgusting. I’m also pasting in a link to show what she has said about Muslims in prayer.

  26. I hope lots of people got to view the show put on to celebrate the opening of some sort of building (or something, I came in late) tonight.

What a spectacular array of talent! Many other tearjerking moments, like earlier with Joe Biden.

Cameras shot at Obama and Michelle grooving to the entertainment, bodies enthusiastically (but elegantly) moving to the terrific music.

I got an awful mental image of TRUMP trying to act like he was enjoying something so cool...clapping off the beat, looking like a spastic, waving his little hands around like a loon.

(Sigh) What a tragedy America is in for.
