Donald Trump responded to news of a North Korea missile launch by holding public discussion with Japanese Prime Minister at Mar-a-Lago. Can you say breach of protocol?

Courtesy of WaPo:

As a Mar-a-Lago member, DeAgazio already had remarkable access to a president that day. He had earlier snapped pictures of Trump and Abe golfing and of the president and White House strategist Stephen K. Bannon schmoozing guests.

Now, as a national-security crisis broke out in front of him, DeAgazio continued snapping pictures — and posting them on Facebook.

“The President receiving the news about the Missile incident from North Korea on Japan with the Prime Minister sitting next to him,” DeAgazio wrote as the caption for a photo he posted on Facebook at 9:07 p.m. Eastern time on Saturday.

Later, he posted other photos of Trump and Abe’s discussion, including some that seemed to have been taken from just a few feet away. Those photos have now been seen around the world, providing photographic proof of this unusual moment.

“HOLY MOLY !!!” De Agazio wrote later, when he posted those closer-up photos. “It was fascinating to watch the flurry of activity at dinner when the news came that North Korea had launched a missile in the direction of Japan. The Prime Minister Abe of Japan huddles with his staff and the President is on the phone with Washington DC. the two world leaders then conferred and then went into another room for hastily arranged press conference. Wow.....the center of the action!!!”
Here is DeAgasio posing with the guy holding the key to starting a nuclear war.
And here is Trump appearing completely oblivious to the kind of danger he could potentially be putting our country into by conducting these conversations in an open area surrounded by people without a security clearance.

As you might imagine the intelligence folks are less than thrilled with Trump's nonchalant approach to  security concerns:

Security experts have said this casual approach to national security discussions was very risky. The two leaders could have discussed classified documents within earshot of waiters and club patrons.

Those cellphones-turned-flashlights might also have been a problem: If one of them had been hacked by a foreign power, the phone’s camera could have provided a view of what the documents said.

Gee, no wonder they don't want to trust him with any classified intelligence briefings.

President Obama's official photographer weighed in on this as well.
Let's face it, President Obama did EVERYTHING better and more professionally than this shitgibbon.

Oh come on, we all know the real national security breach was Hillary’s secure, never hacked email server.

What is the problem with a few waiters viewing top-secret documents, they probable don’t read English anyway:)

What could possibly go wrong posting a photo of the guy with the nuclear codes, not like the ruski’s and other terrorists are going to kidnap him or anything?

Gotta love that photo with trump posing, always looking for another “Kodak moment”.

Maybe this will put a stop to all his expensive trips to FL !!! How many spies and terrorist groups are applying for jobs at Mar Lago?

Obama Accomplished Way More In His First Month Than Trump

I'm jumping the gun a little here, but I'd like to remind everyone that during his first month in office, Barack Obama:

Signed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act.
    Banned torture.
Signed a $787 billion stimulus bill.
Sent 17,000 additional troops to Afghanistan.
Ended the month with a net job approval rating of +27 percent.

Donald Trump still has a few days to go, but so far he has:

Reporters turn on each other over Trump

After president calls on two questioners who fail to ask about Flynn, reporters from other outlets cry foul.

Reporters expressed frustration with President Donald Trump and anger toward their fellow journalists after Trump managed to avoid addressing the question of the day at his Monday press conference with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau — the fate of his national security adviser, Michael Flynn.

At the afternoon briefing, Trump called on reporters from local Washington television outlet ABC 7 (owned by Sinclair Broadcasting) and The Daily Caller, a conservative news outlet. Most reporters were eager to ask about Flynn and whether he still has the confidence of the president after reports that Flynn had secret discussions with Russian officials and appears to have misled Vice President Mike Pence about those discussions. (Senior Counselor to the President, Kellyanne Conway, later said on MSNBC that General Flynn does enjoy the full confidence of the president, though White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer also told reporters the president is "evaluating the situation.")

But the reporters from ABC 7 and Daily Caller did not ask about Flynn. ABC 7 asked about whether Trump has confidence the Northern border is secure, considering Canada is more open to refugees than the United States, and The Daily Caller asked what Trump considered the biggest national security concern.

Reporters from across the media spectrum reacted with shock and frustration.

It would appear that the press conference was a set up and that the two reporters selected were instructed in what to ask. So now we have scripted press conferences. Just great. Imagine how the GOP would react to a Democratic president behaving this way!

And of course now the WH is saying that Trump had already talked w/ people about the missile launch indoors and what we saw was some minor followup kind of thing. Someone will be able to piece together a timeline of Trump's activities to know if there's any truth or realistic possibility that this outdoors moment wasn't the first he'd heard about the missile launch.

What Happened While Trump Was Tweeting
I’ve assembled a starter list of topics editors could load into reporters’ firing chambers. In no particular order, these vital stories deserve billing as top news instead of under-news.

Former Campaign Manager Paul Manafort’s Russian Entanglements. Remember when the campaign ejected Manafort from the cockpit for his foreign business connections? As recently as November 1, the FBI was making inquiries. What’s up with that?
How Deeply Is Comrade Trump Invested in Russia? As the New York Times recently reported, the president has been on the hunt for Russian deals for three decades, yet he claims no exposure there. “I have no dealings with Russia,” he said. Does that mean he struck out? Or was his denial about dealings with the Russian government? Trump has pursued deals there, staged his beauty pageant in Moscow, and Trump Tower houses many a rich Russian. A rich plot for the right tiller.
Deutsche Bank AG. Trump and the bank—Germany’s largest—are restructuring his $300 million in debt, according to Bloomberg News, to “reduce any conflict of interest between the loan and his presidency.” The bank also lends to Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner. The bank’s fate “is important for Trump’s corporate health,” Mother Jones explains. And yet the bank also faces a gigantic penalty “related to mortgage-bond investigations,” Bloomberg reports. Will his Justice Department pull punches?
Non-Disclosure Agreements. Trump aides secretly enlisted Capitol Hill aides to help draft the executive order that curbed immigration—and persuaded them to sign NDAs. The subterfuge should have made congressional Republicans hopping mad, but they seem to have largely rolled over. Will there be any blowback on this attempt to bottle up accountability and information?
Ivanka Trump. She appears in many pictures of important White House meetings. What role is she playing in the decision-making? How is she avoiding conflict of interest? Remember how furious Republicans were when Hillary Clinton assisted her husband early in his official duties and decision-making in his administration?
What Is Melania Trump’s Immigration Status? Remember last August when Trump said his wife would hold a press conference to discuss her legal immigration status? Spokeswoman Hope Hicks confirmed that promise. Never happened. If he’s going to be such an immigration stickler, shouldn’t she answer questions about how she got her green card?
Trump’s Creditors. Trump’s Income Taxes. Who are they? In the first presidential debate, against Clinton, he indicated he would release a list of banks he owes money. “I could do that very quickly,” he said. But as Mother Jones reported, he hasn’t made good on that offer. Likewise, where are those tax returns he said long ago that he would release? I read those stories. See also his conflicts of interest and the emoluments violations.
Trump’s Health. Even for a 70 year old, he looks overstuffed, rheumy and flush. If he were a horse, I wouldn’t bet on him to leave the starting gate, let alone run the track. We’re owed a better account of his health than the “excellent” report the New York gastroenterologist gave us.

The missile was launched at what was 5:55 PM Saturday Eastern Time. It was 7:55 AM Sunday in N. Korea. The UK's Independent says that the launch happened "about one hour" before that scene at the table. So, it is possible that Trump knew about the launch then, as the WH is now claiming? What was he acting like in that hour or so of time? Are there pics and witnesses that can show that Trump was doing this or that during that time and appeared not to have anything on his mind other than hanging with Abe? That's what I want to know--I hope people are really checking into this. Reuters wrote that the video showing the Trumps and Abes on the Mar-a-Lago steps was taken just before dinner. I'm curious about the rest of the timeline. I think the WH is lying about Trump having spoken to people already indoors before we saw what happened outside. It still doesn't excuse that any type of meeting happened outside in that public area. Nuts.

He keeps having these so-called round table meetings and for PR releases a couple minutes of video where he makes yet another meaningless statement and then says, hey, how about if we go around the table and everyone introduces themselves? And that's what we see on TV. We don't see any real meeting and don't know how long that lazyass stays. Well, here's an example using his 2/13 schedule. His time at that "meeting" with women in business was from 12:15 to 12:50. Wow, barely over a freaking half-hour.

" In between entertaining the prime minister of Japan and handling a national security emergency in public view, President Donald Trump decided to crash a wedding being held at his Mar-a-Lago club in Florida on Saturday. It wasn’t just any wedding though: The groom is the son of a donor who gave $100,000 to super PACs supporting Trump’s election in 2016."

(So, were the wedding guests vetted?)

"Trump’s use of Mar-a-Lago as a weekend presidential getaway has drawn criticism for multiple reasons. The federal government must foot large bills that go directly into Trump’s pocket to cover security and lodging. Since the club is private property, press can and has been restricted from it in ways not allowed at the White House. The club doubled its membership fees in January from $100,000 to $200,000. As for new and existing members, their names are not disclosed ― allowing anyone with $200,000 to get anonymous access to the president.

Sens. Sheldon Whitehouse (D-R.I.) and Tom Udall (D-N.M.) have called on Trump to release the Mar-a-Lago membership list to show the public who is directly paying him to get special access at this private club."

"Trump’s big super PAC donors have already reaped rewards from his administration. Not only did the president pop into Lindner’s son’s wedding, but he also hosted billionaire casino oligarch Sheldon Adelson for a private dinner at the White House and nominated billionaire Joe Ricketts’ son, Todd Ricketts, as deputy commerce secretary. Adelson and his wife, Miriam, donated $25 million to support Trump through Future45, while Ricketts gave $1 million to the same group."

    Trump Has Done Almost Nothing

Tune out the noise coming from the White House. So far, very little has actually happened.

Just weeks into Donald Trump’s presidency, you would think that everything had changed. The uproar over the president’s tweets grows louder by the day, as does concern over the erratic, haphazard and aggressive stance of the White House toward critics and those with different policy views. On Sunday, White House aide Stephen Miller bragged, “We have a president who has done more in three weeks than most presidents have done in an entire administration.”

But Miller was dead wrong about this. There is a wide gap, a chasm even, between what the administration has said and what it has done. There have been 45 executive orders or presidential memoranda signed, which may seem like a lot but lags President Barack Obama’s pace. More crucially, with the notable exception of the travel ban, almost none of these orders have mandated much action or clear change of current regulations. So far, Trump has behaved exactly like he has throughout his previous career: He has generated intense attention and sold himself as a man of action while doing little other than promote an image of himself as someone who gets things done.

It is the illusion of a presidency, not the real thing.

The key problem here is understanding Trump’s executive orders and presidential memoranda. Trump very quickly seized on the signing of these as media opportunities, and each new order and memo has been staged and announced as dramatic steps to alter the course of the country. Not accustomed to presidents whose words mean little when it comes to actual policy, opponents have seized on these as proof that Trump represents a malign force, while supporters have pointed to these as proof that Trump is actually fulfilling his campaign promises.

Neither is correct. The official documents have all the patina of “big deals” but which when parsed and examined turn out to be far, far less than they appear.

Moby, Yes Moby, Claims to Have Secret Intelligence Info on Trump

All the distressed Democrats out there can kick back and relax, because the minority party has a plan for regime change in Washington, D.C. How do we know this? Moby, of course. The DJ, activist, and proud vegan is claiming to have insider information about what anti-Trumpers in the Beltway and beyond are doing to long-con the new commander-in-chief out of office. He’s not naming any sources, but according to the electronic-music performer, everything you read in that salacious dossier from a former British spy is true, and there’s a secret widespread movement to get Trump impeached. Since social media is where all the big influencers break news of national import these days, it’s unsurprising that you can find Moby’s Deep Throat–esque revelations on Instagram. Print this out and save it for posterity should the world crumble sometime in the next four years.

'after spending the weekend talking to friends who work in dc i can safely(well, 'accurately'...) post the following things: 1-the russian dossier on trump is real. 100% real. he's being blackmailed by the russian government, not just for being peed on by russian hookers, but for much more nefarious things. 2-the trump administration is in collusion with the russian government, and has been since day one. 3-the trump administration needs a war, most likely with iran. at present they are putting u.s warships off the coast of iran in the hope that iran will attack one of the ships and give the u.s a pretense for invasion. 4-there are right wing plans to get rid of trump. he's a drain on their fundraising and their approval ratings, and the gop and koch brothers and other u.s right wing groups are planning to get rid of trump. 5-intelligence agencies around the world, and here in the u.s, are horrified by the incompetence of the trump administration, and are working to present information that will lead to high level firings and, ultimately, impeachment. i'm writing these things so that when/if these things happen there will be a public record beforehand. these are truly baffling and horrifying times, as we have an incompetent president who is essentially owned by a foreign power. -moby

If you accept the public storyline, National Security Advisor Michael Flynn's job now hangs in the balance because a) he discussed sanctions against Russia with Russian Ambassador Kislyak on the day President Obama imposed them (Dec 29th) and b) because he lied to Vice President Pence and possibly also Chief Of Staff Priebus about the topics discussed on those December 29th calls. Pence later put his own credibility on the line when he passed on Flynn's false assurances. But there are some pretty big problems with this account of events - and they all tie to whether President Trump knew about the Flynn/Russia back channel all along."

The Reality TV Star President is just giving us reality TV, as that is the only thing he truly knows how to do. This is the first season of Celebrity Apprentice White House edition, hopefully it will not be renewed next season.

But, but, but he didn't say "You're fired!"

There is more to this, more corruption. More Russia.

    YOOHOO DONALD,

    Michael Flynn resigned.

    Former GOP Vice presidential candidate/governor/mayor/
judge/faithful wife/Muslim hater Sarah Palin would be an excellent National Security Advisor.

Somebody raised the question of the foreign staff employed by Mar-A-Lago, or whatever it's called. Talk about a security risk. That whole Weekend White House BS is a situation just screaming for foreign mischief. As I believe I've mentioned before-we are so screwed. And..RESIST.
Oh. One more thing. I hope the dipstick posing with the nuclear codes is unemployed tonight too.

    that man is a moron

also a vindictive s.o.b. - he is refusing to approve disaster funds for CA
    http://occupydemocrats.com/2017/02/13/california-asked-trump-federal-disaster-aid-response-shocking/

According to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), “A major disaster declaration provides a wide range of federal assistance programs for individuals and public infrastructure, including funds for both emergency and permanent work.” It can only be issued when the disaster could overwhelm local and state capacities to respond.

An important side story: Trump said he would "defund California." Gov's request for federal emergency relief filed 3 days ago. No response. https://twitter.com/johnmyers/status/8302446018144

I'm so glad I canceled the fake news, the hacked satellite, phones, internet and representatives. I don't watch morning liars. Loud mouth con artist or corrupt media. The MEDIA enablers for trump for 2 yrs straight did not report on trump and friends. For 8 yrs straight the entire republican party of obstruction harmed our country. Each and everyone of them must be held accountable. Republicans are guilty of espionage and treason.

The minute I first read about that most unpresidential episode during the Florida "state" dinner I thought about President Obama attending the White House Correspondents' dinner so calmly and cooly and then going back to the Situation Room at the White House after having given the order to bring Osama bin Laden to justice. What a contrast! Not just in style, but in understanding about what being president of the United States means. North Korea's missile did not require that kind of public show!

Trump has absolutely no qualifications for the job he now holds and the GOP had better realize that reality before it's too late. What dunderheads, the lot of them. If this were a situation comedy, viewers would think that it was overkill, but it's our life now and it's not funny at all.

Nothing ever satisfies you libtards! smh

Did you ever stop to consider they picked Mar-a-Largo (Seminole for "fat old man with tiny, tiny hands') as a more secure location than the WPB Waffle House which was Emperor Drumpf's first choice?
