Donald Trump thinks that former President Obama is behind the White House leaks and angry town halls.

Courtesy of CNN:

Trump was asked in an interview on Fox News' "Fox and Friends" if he believed Obama was responsible for the town hall protests against Republicans this month.

"It turns out his organization seems to do a lot of these organizing to some of the protests that these Republicans are seeing around the country against you. Do you believe President Obama is behind it and if he is, is that a violation of the so-called unsaid presidents' code?" Trump was asked.

"No, I think he is behind it. I also think it is politics, that's the way it is," Trump replied.

Trump then discussed the leaks that have disrupted his first month in office.

"You never know what's exactly happening behind the scenes. You know, you're probably right or possibly right, but you never know," Trump said in the interview, a clip of which was released Monday night. "No, I think that President Obama is behind it because his people are certainly behind it. And some of the leaks possibly come from that group, which are really serious because they are very bad in terms of national security. But I also understand that is politics. In terms of him being behind things, that's politics. And it will probably continue."

Gee, it couldn't simply be because you are an incompetent moron could it Orange Hitler?

When asked to give himself a grade on his presidency thus far he gave himself an "A for Achievement."

THAT kind of cognitive dissonance is what inspires leaks, NOT President Obama. Who, by the way, just returned from an extended vacation.

However I have to tell you that if it turned out that President Obama WAS behind the leaks and rowdy town halls that would increase my admiration 100 fold.

  1. Poor thing just cannot comprehend that not only is he deeply disliked and reviled but that people can and do organize and act on their own volition/volution (?) without needing some glorious leader masterminding it all.
We're going to make him so sorry he ever even thought he could be president.

Everyone go to WH.gov and under participation, you can take a survey about Dear Leader and what he should address tonight. There are also TWO comment spaces. Now, I may have gotten myself on a no fly list for being honest,. but I don't fly often anyway! It was fun to troll the survey, which so skewed to Trump it's almost silly.

Someone who has made one of his signature campaign pledges to deport undocumented residents has no right to complain when his own wife's status is questioned, especially when there is evidence that she worked illegally.

Sorry, Donny, but the rules DO apply to you and your family, despite what you may believe.

Newt Gingrich: ‘Independent’ Investigator Needed for Trump-Russia Probe

Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich wants a special investigator to review the Trump team's alleged contact with Russian officials during the campaign — one of the few prominent Republicans calling for such an examination.

Gingrich, when asked about the use of a special prosecutor Tuesday on Fox News, advised President Donald Trump to "take a lesson from the past" and assign a "very smart, independent person" to take on that investigatory role.

"Maybe somebody like Michael Mukasey, former attorney general [under George W. Bush] — put them in charge of the whole project, and say, you know, there are questions here, the country has questions, the media has questions, even members of Congress (have) questions," Gingrich said.

Shadow President Bannon Is Getting Cold Feet About Repealing Obamacare

Taking healthcare away from key supporters, it turns out, is not a great strategy.

More than a month into an era of unified, Republican-controlled federal government, the party's hamfisted efforts to finally repeal the Affordable Care Act are going about as swimmingly as they did during the six years that elapsed since the law's enactment. House Speaker Paul Ryan has finally unveiled his proposed alternative, which is functionally an eight-step program for screwing over poor people in the cruelest possible manner, but now some prominent voices within the White House are apparently starting to get cold feet. The Washington Post reports that Shadow President Steve Bannon has joined Jared Kushner and Stephen Miller in urging Trump to consider the "potential political costs" of repeal. White nationalists: Can't win with 'em, can't win without 'em!

The Washington Post reports that Shadow President Steve Bannon has joined Jared Kushner and Stephen Miller in urging Trump to consider the "potential political costs" of repeal. White nationalists: Can't win with 'em, can't win without 'em!

The crux of the White House's reluctance appears to stem from their dawning realization of just how damaging wholesale repeal could be for their staunchest supporters. Despite his strenuous and nonsensical objections, Trump prevailed in the election thanks to razor-thin margins in only a few key states, and he lost the popular vote by some three million votes. His plummeting approval ratings are already breaking all kinds of approval rating records that presidents really don't want to break.

Meanwhile, studies indicate that the vast majority of those who would be affected by the Republicans' healthcare reform proposals would be working-class whites without college degrees—the exact demographic that put him over the top on Election Day. Repealing Obamacare is no longer just a fun slogan for the Trump administration's lackeys to yell about in between leading "Lock her up!" chants on the campaign trail—instead, it's a looming political reality that could have a profound effect on the extremely fragile coalition that delivered Trump the presidency.

The Fight for Obamacare Has Turned

The campaign to let 20 million Americans keep their health insurance is working.

It still has a long way to go, and it’s not guaranteed to succeed. But the progress of the last couple months is remarkable.

Thanks in part to a surge of activism — town hall meetings, online postings, calls to Congress — the politics of Obamacare have flipped. Many Americans have come to realize that the care part of the law matters much more than the Obama part. As a result, the Republicans no longer have a clear path to repeal.

Uh. I don't think so. I think this is coordinated white supremacist, neo-Nazi behavior at its sickest. According to the SPLC, which follows hate them carefully, hate groups have proliferated and they feel empowered now given the sleepy campaign Trump led last year. Now that the GOP is in control, these people think they have free rein. Maybe they do; Trump's Justice Department sure is silent. Trump may actually not realize just who he's got working for him in the White House. I don't think he's very intelligent. But he certainly should start paying attention.

In fact, blaming this disgusting behavior on Democrats fits right into the 1920's and 1930's German Nazi playbook. Blame everyone else for what you're doing. Steve Bannon must love it.

This administration was crazy at the outset; now it's way beyond lunatic to seriously dangerous. If the GOP members of Congress have any regard for the Constitution, they had better wake up soon and start fighting for it.

Paul Ryan Sees Trump 'As More Of A Chairman'

House Speaker Paul Ryan (R-WI) said on Tuesday that he sees President Donald Trump "as more of a chairman" who delegates the details of his campaign promises to others.

"He's a business guy who came to office not as some policy wonk, you know, working in Congress on health care," Ryan said in an interview with TODAY's Matt Lauer.

"Doesn't it seem often, Mr. Speaker, that President Trump talks about big ideas without diving into the details of how to accomplish his promises?" Lauer asked. "Doesn't that frustrate you sometimes?"

"Not really," Ryan said. "I see him as more of a chairman, as a president — much like many successful presidents have been — where he gets people around him who are detail people who can execute those plans.”

Lindsey Graham Says Trump's First Budget Is 'Dead On Arrival'

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said Tuesday that President Donald Trump's budget outline is "dead on arrival" and that proposed cuts to State Department funding "would be a disaster."

"It's dead on arrival. It's not going to happen. It would be a disaster," Graham said.

He said that if Trump limits the State Department's ability to exercise "soft power" he is "never going to win the war."

"What's most disturbing about the cut in the State Department's budget, it shows a lack of understanding," Graham said.

President Trump just signed an executive order aimed at rolling back the Clean Water Rule. Rolling back the rule will leave Americans with dirtier drinking water.

We're doing all we can to save this clean water protection. Donate today.

The president's order directs the Environmental Protection Agency to begin dismantling the Clean Water Rule, which protects nearly 2 million miles of America's streams. President Trump is still expected to sign a similar order later this week directing the EPA to undo the Clean Power Plan, a policy designed to replace the most polluting power plants with clean energy.1

The president's disregard for these common-sense, popular policies is bad enough. But today's executive order appears to be the beginning of a much broader attack on our environmental protections -- one that surpasses anything we've seen in past administrations.

The president's latest executive order comes after the confirmation of Scott Pruitt as the new EPA administrator. Consider: A man who sued the EPA 14 times -- including lawsuits to block the Clean Power Plan and the Clean Water Rule -- is now in charge of the EPA.

The administration and members of Congress are also moving to cut EPA programs, put up new roadblocks to enforcing other programs, and slash the agency's budget and staffing. There's even a bill filed to completely abolish the EPA.2

As for the president? During the campaign, he said he'd like to abolish the EPA or maybe "leave a little bit."3

A little bit of protection for our environment? No matter who you voted for, that's not nearly good enough -- not when it comes to the people and the places we love.

The good news is that none of this anti-environment agenda will be easy to accomplish. Our advocacy and action can make it much, much harder for the administration and Congress. But we can't do it without you.

German Media Warns That The Right’s “Hitler-like Führer” Worship of Trump is Dangerous

...Writing of the relationship between Alex Jones and President Trump, Der Spiegel observed that Jones sees himself as the conspiracy arm of the presidency, “The unsettling thing about this, though, is that Jones has begun to treat his company as a sort of propaganda arm of the presidency, one that is mobilizing the infantry to save the homeland. This can be more dangerous than simply spreading a few unfounded conspiracy theories.”

“Together with right-wing nationalist websites like Breitbart News, Gateway Pundit and LifeZette, which also have good access to the White House, Jones sees himself as part of a right-wing front that aims to break the power of the traditional media,” The magazine warned in an article published on Tuesday.

“When Jones talks about the president, it sounds as if he were talking about some Hitler-like Führer. He refers to the first few weeks of the Trump presidency as a ‘total victory.'”

Speaking of “loony, marginal figures” who are being mainstreamed by Trump, they write, “There is no one this applies to more than Jones, the epitome of fake news.”

Alex Jones is a Sandy Hook denier, for example, to give you an idea of where his moral compass sits. Our President has been on his show, apparently not only not bothered by the cruel insanity Jones promotes, but indeed Trump seems to get his “facts” from Jones at times.
