Federal judge temporarily blocks Donald Trump's Muslim ban. Trump throws Twitter fit over it.

Courtesy of Politico:

President Donald Trump's travel ban executive order suffered its most severe legal blow to date Friday, as a federal judge in Seattle blocked the impact of the directive nationwide.

U.S. District Court Judge James Robart ruled in favor of the attorneys general of Washington state and Minnesota on a lawsuit they brought seeking to overturn the order limiting travel to the U.S. by citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries.

The ruling prompted a typically combative reaction from the Trump White House Friday night, but in a departure from recent patterns, the most confrontational language was quickly dialed back.

"At the earliest possible time, the Department of Justice intends to file an emergency stay of this outrageous order and defend the executive order of the President, which we believe is lawful and appropriate," White House press secretary Sean Spicer said in a written statement. "The president’s order is intended to protect the homeland and he has the constitutional authority and responsibility to protect the American people."

Spicer's statement was reissued about 10 minutes later to remove the word "outrageous."

Yes well maybe they can go back and edit the White House Press Secretary's statement, but nobody edits Donald Trump.
And which Middle Eastern countries would those be Donnie? Countries hoping to NOT be added to the ban perhaps?
For the record this "co-called judge" was appointed by George W. Bush.

And his ruling does NOT take law enforcement away from our country, however it DOES protect our Constitution.

As we know Trump really, really hates being told no.

Which is too bad really since it appears that he is going to be hearing a whole lot of no for the next four years.

The whiney little bitch needs to get the fuck off twitter because I don't give a rats as what is on his mind. Can you imagine if a woman took to twitter each time she was screwed bad in bed. That is exactly what Trumpster is.

    1. Anonymous12:37 PM

Hey, you may have something there. Every woman screwed by don could tweet about it. Don was a lousy fu*k. It was all about him. Tweet away girls.

Donald Trump signs executive order while admitting he doesn’t know what it says [video]

Donald Trump’s disastrous Yemen raid may have been attempt at getting Dubai golf course built

...Considering that Donald Trump’s decision to speedrocket the Yemen raid was inexplicable in terms of its long odds of succeeding and small gain for the United States, it must now be investigated as to whether Trump greenlit the operation as a favor to the United Arab Emirates in an attempt at getting his years-in-the-making Dubai golf course fast tracked by the UAE government. Trump’s decision to move forward with the Yemen raid was at best criminally negligent — and it may have simply been a criminal act.

We’ll leave it to you to make sense of Spicer’s rambling, which seems rather clearly posted at the behest of a berserk Donald Trump, whose aides are likely holding him back from his own Twitter account as we speak. But the bottom line is that Trump is losing this Constitutional fight and he knows it.

Bookies: odds of Donald Trump’s impeachment have skyrocketed over the past two weeks

...Just prior to Donald Trump taking office, the odds of his impeachment were pegged at four to one. But over the past two weeks, those odds have spiked according to online gambling website Paddy Power. The betting odds on Trump getting impeached are now two to one, making it far more likely than before he took office. Even with a Republican majority in the House of Representatives, Trump’s impeachment will be entirely a factor of how toxically unpopular he becomes, and the point at which House Republicans conclude they must begin impeachment hearings in order to save face and preserve their own chances of reelection in 2018. And these past two weeks have strongly upped the ante.

Gamblers will bet on anything—and they're having a field day with President Donald Trump.

The odds are now 2:1 that the 45th president will be impeached before the end of his first term, the online betting site Paddy Power reports. Before his inauguration, those odds were 4:1.

Rep. Joaquin Castro: House will impeach Donald Trump for ordering agents to defy court

...There are two key factors at play here. One is that impeachment does not equal removal. Impeachment hearings can be dragged out for a year or more in the House, and can be used to prevent a president from being able to accomplish much of his own agenda in the mean time. Whether or not the Senate subsequently moves forward with an impeachment trial, and whether or not that president is removed from office, may be secondary. So impeachment is not necessarily about swapping Trump for VP Mike Pence in the oval office; it’s more about crippling Trump.

    1. Anonymous9:59 AM

If they don't impeach him soon, there is this possibility now, too...

    2. Leland1:58 PM

PLEASE! Not that! If they want to refuse an order - and an illegal order IS reusable! - they should let him know that when ordered and then resign. If enough do so, the Congress - even the repubes! - may get off their asses and ask why?

A coup would set an incredibly dangerous precedent for the future!

Steve Bannon hires two racist Breitbart writers for White House policy positions

With each passing day it becomes more clear that Steve Bannon is now running the White House and Donald Trump is just sort of there. Bannon is now on the National Security Council, while Trump doesn’t even bother to show up to the Situation Room during military operations. But in a sign of just how thoroughly the former head of white supremacist propaganda site Breitbart is now taking over, he’s hired two of his fellow racist Breitbart writers for White House policy positions.

Trust Records Show Trump Is Still Closely Tied to His Empire

    1. Anonymous7:39 AM

Why isn't impeachment action taking place just on this matter? The Democrats, et al, need to go after his fat ass and get him the Hell out of office.

Trump is Satan himself and will continue spreading hate, lies, racism, and pure evil upon our country and world! The country sorely needs to obstruct every step he takes in his dictatorship! He does NOT represent the majority of Americans!

    2. Leland9:53 AM

7:39, I can spot two reasons right up front for it NOT being done. One, the repubes haven't reached their limit yet, and two, they don't really WANT to impeach - yet.

Yes, there are definitely things he should be impeached for (even if the trial doesn't happen), the repubes don't WANT to do it, as I said. And before some troll jumps in and asks me "such as", the order to ignore federal courts should be enough.

He needs to get this major point (among others) branded into his brain: This is a country of LAWS and the Justice department does NOT interpret laws, it's supposed to enforce them.

    3. Anonymous10:54 AM

David Corn's Twitter is one I follow and there's an article mentioned there by Derek Kravits that discusses how that witch Ivanka still hasn't done any of the paperwork she was supposed to do for stepping aside from the biz. And yesterday she was a fixture, complete with cardboard place card, at the econ advisory committee. And of course there's Eric with his big bill to the taxpayers for his latest jaunt. And Donny's charging the Red Cross $300,000 for their ball tonight. He's costing us 3 mill for his weekend vacay and he can't even let the charity go on for free. He just has to pocket cash every opportunity. The Trumps just keep doing whatever the hell they want. They are all corrupt and are becoming more so. Anymore, I can't help but fantasize about a Trump family plane crash.

    4. Anonymous11:58 AM

      Why not impeach?
I assume it's because the basket of deplorables is loving every second of the train wreck. I heard one Tea Party twerp on the radio gushing, every day is like Christmas! These amoebic forms of life are a key GOP demographic. If the GOP takes action against Trump, their base will be reduced to the 1%, and that's not gonna win many elections no matter how much they gerrymander.
I'm more inclined to think TPTB will instead look for a way to take him out permanently.

  8. Anonymous7:00 AM

...U.S. District Court Judge James Robart, the judge Trump insulted playground style, was appointed by George W. Bush and confirmed 99-0. The American Bar Association rated this “so-called” judge “Unanimously Well Qualified” for the nomination.

This is the rule of law in action. It’s called a co-equal branch of government, part of our checks and balances.

But not for Donald Trump. The self-described “law and order” candidate and now president doesn’t think laws apply to him. He’s special, you see. If a judge doesn’t see things his way, and by his way he means an inept, bungled expansion of the executive office powers that would embarrass even W., then Trump responds by questioning the judge’s authority.

  9. Anonymous7:01 AM

enate Democratic Leader Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-NY) showed President Trump that there would be consequences for his outburst against the judge who temporarily halted Trump’s ban. Schumer said that Trump’s behavior had lifted the bar even higher for confirmation of his Supreme Court nominee.

Schumer reacted to Trump’s outburst against Judge James Robart in a statement:

The President’s attack on Judge James Robart, a Bush appointee who passed with 99 votes, shows a disdain for an independent judiciary that doesn’t always bend to his wishes and a continued lack of respect for the Constitution, making it more important that the Supreme Court serve as an independent check on the administration.

With each action testing the Constitution, and each personal attack on a judge, President Trump raises the bar even higher for Judge Gorsuch’s nomination to serve on the Supreme Court. His ability to be an independent check will be front and center throughout the confirmation process.

Senate Democrats are sending a message to the Commander In Chief. If the President is going to insist on acting like a child, he will be treated like a child.

    1. Anonymous7:34 AM

I support Schumer 100%. The members of the Democratic party, Independents and Green party need to save America from 'the evil one' and the Republican party ASAP. (Those in the U.S. Congress too - McConnell and Ryan most especially!)

Just look at the damage that has already taken place within our country and throughout the world. "The evil one" needs to be stopped immediately in representing our country. And, Republicans in the U.S. Congress need to lose their positions when they come up for reelection.

Impeach, impeach, impeach 'the evil one'!!!!!

    2. Anonymous8:41 AM

Evil one? Oh puleez. THat is far too powerful a term for a foolish putz like T.Rump. The petulant one, the childish one, the idiot are all more apropos.

  10. Anonymous7:02 AM

Hey, it looks like that judge is a white male. I wonder what reason Donald will find to attack him?

    1. Leland9:56 AM

      Good question, 7:02!

  11. Anonymous7:06 AM

Though entirely predictable, Trump’s reaction here is highly problematic. He is clearly unraveling at the protests and criticisms against him, and having actual judges rule against him is just too much. What will be really interesting to see is whether or not Trump tries to see how he can remove this judge, just as he did with the Acting Attorney General who said that his Muslim ban was indefensible in court.

Trump Tweets ‘We Must Keep Evil Out Of Our Country’ So Americans Tell Him To Get The Hell Out (TWEETS)

On Friday, Donald Trump embarrassed himself with a tweet, as is becoming a daily ritual, that was so stupid that seemingly all of Twitter could not help but come together to mock the orange sh*tgibbon in the White House.

Decision from “so called State Dept”

How is that vacation going for ya donnie?

State Dept. Reverses Revocation Of Visas After Judge Blocks Travel Ban

After a federal judge on Friday blocked President Donald Trump's order suspending the refugee program and barring travel from seven predominantly Muslim countries, the State Department on Saturday said it would reinstate visas that were revoked due to Trump's order, according to the Associated Press.

The State Department said it took steps to reverse the cancellation of visas after the Justice Department communicated with them about the judge's ruling on Friday, per AP.

Earlier on Friday, the State Department said it had revoked fewer than 60,000 visas due to Trump's order. However, a government attorney disclosed that the department had revoked 100,000 visas due to the travel ban. The State Department said that the attorney's higher number likely included exempt visa holders like "diplomatic and other visas that were actually exempted by the travel ban."

The Department of Homeland Security also said Saturday that it had suspended all efforts to enforce Trump's executive order due to the federal judge's ruling......

  30. Anonymous8:27 AM

Well, but he is appointing another a$$hole to be the boss of the DOJ, so they probably WILL invalidate the judge's ruling. And that judge better check for another job somewhere else... :(

    1. Leland10:28 AM

Sorry, 8:27, the Justice Department doesn't have the authority to invalidate ANY judge's ruling. They can challenge something in court, but they can't CHANGE a law or an order. Well, legally anyway.

Their own mission statement says it all: "To enforce the law and defend the interests of the United States according to the law; to ensure public safety against threats foreign and domestic; to provide federal leadership in preventing and controlling crime; to seek just punishment for those guilty of unlawful behavior; and to ensure fair and impartial administration of justice for all Americans."

I visited a 91 yr old and 87 yr old at the local hospital. I walked in and fox fake news was on. That disgusting station continues to harm and brainwashed old people, they harassed and threatened them for money and stole their final years with lies lies lies. This must be exposed and fox fake news nation must be charged with the crime of scamming the elderly.
