Kremlin now concerned that Donald Trump might be too unstable for them to control.

Courtesy of Raw Story:

While Kremlin policymakers preferred Trump over former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton — who has a far more contentious relationship with Putin — Trump’s radical reorganization of the U.S. government, without regard to long term outcomes, robs Putin of his ability to keep the rest of the world on edge.

According to Foreign Policy, “Trump’s revolution is also ushering in a period of turmoil and uncertainty, including the likelihood of self-defeating trade wars. Still traumatized by the disintegration of the Soviet Union, Russia’s present leadership has no appetite for global instability.”

“With Trump in the White House, moreover, Putin has lost his monopoly over geopolitical unpredictability. The Kremlin’s ability to shock the world by taking the initiative and trashing ordinary international rules and customs has allowed Russia to play an oversized international role and to punch above its weight,” the piece continues.

“Putin now has to share the capacity to keep the world off balance with a new American president vastly more powerful than himself. More world leaders are watching anxiously to discover what Trump will do next than are worrying about what Putin will do next. Meanwhile, using anti-Americanism as an ideological crutch has become much more dubious now that the American electorate has chosen as their president a man publicly derided as ‘Putin’s puppet.'”

So essentially the Russian government is upset because Trump is even more Putin, than Putin.

Once again, just like Trump voters, what could they possibly have expected?

Donald Trump spent his entire campaign showing the world that he was thin skinned, unpredictable, and volatile.

It is unbelievable, to me at least, that anybody could possibly have thought he would act in any other way as president.

It is however somewhat humorous watching the Russians, and of course the Trump voters, slowly coming to the realization that most of us reached over a year ago.

Corker: We Must Address WH Russia Ties So It Doesn't 'Destabilize' Country

...Corker told MSNBC on Wednesday that he's concerned about Trump's past comments praising Putin. He said that the Trump administration has evolved on several foreign policy issues, but that they have not changed their stance toward Russia.

"The one area where the evolution is not taking place is with Russia. Russia is not our friend," he said. "This relationship that seems to exist and seems to be preeminent and seems to be driving so much of the conversation within the White House, to me, is still not righted itself."

Contact between Trump campaign and Russian intel officials would be 'game changer,' Sen. Lindsey Graham says

Sen. Lindsey Graham today called for a broader bipartisan investigation if it’s true that Donald Trump's campaign communicated with Russians in the year leading up to the 2016 presidential election.

"If there's contacts between the Trump campaign and Russian intelligence officials outside the norm, that’s not only big league bad, that’s a game changer," Graham, R-S.C., said in an interview on "Good Morning America."

He continued, "Because if it is true, it is very very disturbing to me and Russia needs to pay a price when it comes to interfering in our democracy and other democracies, and any Trump person who was working with the Russians in an unacceptable way also needs to pay a price."

Russia tells White House it will not return Crimea to Ukraine

Russia said on Wednesday it would not hand back Crimea to Ukraine or discuss the matter with foreign partners after the White House said U.S. President Donald Trump expected the annexed Black Sea peninsula to be returned.

Moscow says an overwhelming majority of Crimeans voted to become part of Russia in a 2014 referendum wanting protection from what the Kremlin cast as an illegal coup in Kiev.

Ukraine says the referendum was a sham held at gunpoint after Russian troops illegally annexed the peninsula, that Russia-friendly president Viktor Yanukovych was ousted by people power, and that Moscow should return Crimea.

"We don't give back our own territory. Crimea is territory belonging to the Russian Federation," Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, told a news briefing on Wednesday.

The 2014 annexation prompted the United States and the European Union to impose sanctions on Russia, plunging Western relations with the Kremlin to their worst level since the Cold War.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY) on Tuesday shot down President Donald Trump's repeated claims that millions of "illegal" votes cost him the popular vote in the 2016 election.

"There’s no evidence that enough votes were stolen to change the outcome of the election," McConnell said in an interview taped Tuesday for MSNBC's "Morning Joe."

However, McConnell told Joe Scarborough that he believes voter fraud is an issue, even if it is not widespread.

Cincinnati Republican says it's time to impeach President Trump

...A president of the United States, on the official POTUS Twitter feed, assails a department store for dropping his daughter’s merchandise. On the same day, the Pentagon is looking to rent space in the Trump Tower. Trump’s son travels to Uganda to make a Trump business deal. And, of course, foreign diplomats will stay at the Trump Hotel. The cash comes marching in.

The phony legalisms Trump has said he used to “separate” himself from his businesses – though he still owns them and his sons are running them – will be cited to make this all acceptable. Horsefeathers. No ethical expert could say with a straight face that this is not a classic conflict of interest.

In any time except our post-factual era, no office holder, much less the president, could get away with any one of the dozens of dazzlingly illegal things Trump has already done. They would forfeit office immediately.

The leader of the band of Mad Hatters occupying the White House has already insulted allied world leaders, issued illegal and badly written orders, impugned a “so-called” judge appointed by his own party, and appointed the least-qualified cabinet ever. The first secretary of state was Thomas Jefferson. Trump appointed a big-oil executive with close ties to Russia. The first treasury secretary was Alexander Hamilton. Trump appointed a former Goldman Sachs exec who got rich foreclosing on homeowners. The national security advisor lasted 24 days.

And all that’s just at the time I write this. Who knows what happens next. Each new day is a new nightmare. We are still trying to digest one breathtaking assault on America when another is signed, issued, or Tweeted. All this amid constant lies. Constant. Lies.

...I am a lifelong Republican. I voted for every Republican presidential candidate from 1968 to 2004. But I have watched what once was a sane, center-right party go off the rails, first to the extreme right, then to wherever Trump is, which is in another universe.

It’s tough, but we must end this dangerous presidency. Trump must be impeached and removed with all haste. But only Congress can initiate the process.

Our congressman, Steve Chabot, has been busy defending Trump from the media, which is simply reporting Trump’s machinations. It’s time for him to man-up and start drafting the articles of impeachment. As I remember, he did it for Clinton for far less than Trump has already done.

Kellyanne Conway is Reportedly On the Chopping Block

Tuesday afternoon, Political Injustice learned that another top staffer may be on the chopping block. Sources say that Kellyanne Conway, Trump’s Counselor, may be the next one out after repeated gaffes and a blatant ethics violation within the last two weeks.

Update: 5:47 PM – Kellyanne Conway will be turning in her resignation sometime tonight or tomorrow per an unnamed source.

Update: 7:25 PM – If Conway does not turn in her resignation by tomorrow, she will be fired. Also, the administration may be forcing her out to take some of the attention off of Michael Flynn’s departure.

Update: 9:13 AM – POTUS had a change of heart overnight giving Conway one last chance but she is “on incredibly thin ice” after tweeting to a white supremacist.

CIA airing Trump ties to Russia to prevent blackmail – report

US intelligence figure said to tell Israeli counterpart publicizing information will leave no secrets to compromise president

The CIA has reportedly been working to prevent the possibility of the Kremlin blackmailing US President Donald Trump by deliberately making public everything regarding the president’s ties with Russia.

A report Wednesday by Israeli website Walla news’s veteran diplomatic correspondent Oren Nahari cited an Israeli official, who said a senior member of the US intelligence community told him the agency suspects that Russia has information on Trump that can be used to pressure the US leader. As a countermeasure, US intelligence operatives are quickly leaking everything they learn about ties between Russia and the Trump administration so that the information can’t be used as leverage against the president.

The report came two days after Trump’s National Security Adviser Michael Flynn resigned over revelations that during the transition period before the new administration took office he discussed US sanctions strategy with Russian Ambassador Sergey Kislyak, then denied having done so to White House leaders.

In January, days before Trump was due to be sworn in, US media reported that spy chiefs had informed Trump that Russian operatives were claiming to possess deeply compromising personal and financial information about him. Trump denounced the CNN report at the time as a “political witch hunt” and declared it “fake news.”

The Strange Case Of The Russian Diplomat Who Got His Head Smashed In On Election Day

How did Sergei Krivov die? And why did the NYPD close the case?

He was found just before 7 a.m. on Election Day, lying on the floor of the Russian Consulate on the Upper East Side.

The man was unconscious and unresponsive, with an unidentified head wound — “blunt force trauma,” in cop parlance. By the time emergency responders reached him, he was dead.

Initial reports said the nameless man had plunged to his death from the roof of the consulate. As journalists rushed to the scene, consular officials quickly changed the narrative. The anonymous man had not fallen dozens of feet from the roof of the consular building, they said, but rather had suffered a heart attack in the security office, and died.

By the time the man’s body left the morgue the next day, Donald J. Trump was president-elect of the United States.

Pretty much everyone involved in the spreading Michael Flynn scandal is telling easily disproved lies about it

“Borderline chaos”: Trump administration staffers are scared, are “in survival mode”
The constant leaks are starting to freak out Trump staffers

Three weeks into the President Donald Trump administration, staffers in his White House are telling reporters they’re scared.

One said that the atmosphere in the White House is “borderline chaos” and that “some staff is in survival mode . . . scared to death,” according to a report by Axios. Factors cited as causes for this panic include revelations that President Trump had been warned by former acting attorney general Sally Yates about national security director Michael Flynn’s dissembling and did not act on it, the revelation that Flynn had indeed talked with Russia about Obama’s economic sanctions, and the overall cascade of leaks that have come from the White House since Trump took office.

Not Only Did Trump Aides Communicate With Russian Intelligence, Money May Have Also Been Exchanged

...Flynn’s trips were paid for out of a dubious account, which has not been subject to a proper audit. At the same time, there seems to be very little in the way of expenditures from the Trump campaign connected with overseas travel, or anything close to it, according to publicly available documents.

Beyond the obvious fact that Trump was Russia’s horse in the race, they were also facing billions of dollars worth of sanctions, in a country that bribery is almost a requirement.

When you start looking at everything as a whole, it is unlikely that private donors put up the money for these trips, knowing what it would be used for. Instead, it is much more plausible that money was given to Trump’s representatives, facilitating these trips and who knows what other sort of expenses incurred.

While the Nation’s Attention is Focused On Donald Trump and His Staffing Issues, Keep a Close Eye On the Republican Congress

...When you have bad news or you want to sneak something by the general public, you usually wait until Friday evening to release it, while everyone’s attention is elsewhere. With all of the focus on Trump right now, even more than usually in the past day, Republicans in Congress are getting ready for something big.

Recent legislation submitted to the House of Representatives by Republicans aim to repeal Obamacare and eliminate the EPA. Both bills have been submitted to committees and may be discussed in the coming days.

This is the perfect time, if you’re a member of either party, to sneak something by while the media isn’t paying much attention to Congress.

In the coming days, there will probably be a flurry of legislation introduced in an attempt to keep it out of the watchful eye of the public. Some of it will be introduced according to the schedules of the sponsors, which just happened to line up with the Flynn scandal. Other bills though will be named something fairly innocent, but will hide something dangerous in the text.

Around 20 bills are introduced in the House on Wednesdays and close to the same number on Thursdays, it’s a safe bet that quite a few more than normal get submitted in the next two days.

Republicans are showing their desperation to defend the Trump administration from growing evidence of possibly treasonous contact between the Trump team and Russian officials during the presidential campaign — while Russia was hacking our elections.

We saw Donald Trump’s reaction this morning, moving from blaming Hillary Clinton to the ridiculous charge that it is President Obama who was soft on Russia.

Now Rep. Steve King (R-IA), appearing on CNN’s New Day wants you to believe that all this mounting evidence of a Russian attempt to influence our elections is nothing but a “CNN narrative.”

    Watch courtesy of CNN:

...What Steve King has done here today is prove that he is as dishonest as Donald Trump, and as big a hypocrite, and that like Jason Chaffetz and other Republicans, he will do anything in his power to shield Donald Trump from a very real scandal involving the national security of our nation – which, if you will remember, was the GOP’s alleged excuse for investigating Hillary Clinton 33 times.

Steve King and his fellow Republicans have shirked their duty and their oaths of office. They have turned their backs on America and on our national security – all for the sake of tax cuts for the rich.

‘He will die in jail’: Intelligence community ready to ‘go nuclear’ on Trump, senior source says

On Wednesday, former NSA intelligence analyst John Schindler provided some insight into the reaction of national security officials.

“Now we go nuclear,” he wrote on Twitter. “[Intelligence community] war going to new levels. Just got an [email from] senior [intelligence community] friend, it began: ‘He will die in jail.'”

“US intelligence is not the problem here,” Schindler added in another tweet. “The President’s collusion with Russian intelligence is. Many details, but the essence is simple.”

It might be humorous if it was so potentially deadly to We The People ( even the massively stupid ones).

Way too many of those dRUMPf voters are still buried in his BULLSHIT promises and alternate facts. So many others just don't care.

I agree with Gryphen that Trump demonstrated during his campaign what we could expect if he was elected. I can only add that his webs of lies were predictable to continue about his administration and others. I think Trump would not re
Ease his tax returns primarily because they would expose and disprove a mountain of lies he told.

Utah Paper Ups Pressure On Jason Chaffetz

      http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/salt-lake-tribune-jason-chaffetz-trump_us_58a34863e4b0ab2d2b198cd5?rln37r39moccgzaor&

It seems to work for the president of the United States, so, Jason Chaffetz may have surmised, it should work for members of Congress, too.

But explaining away an unpleasant occurrence by fabricating facts about those who oppose you is something the Utah congressman should investigate, not emulate.

After his unpleasant experience at a town hall meeting in Cottonwood Heights last week, Chaffetz had some reasonable points to make about how too many in the overflow crowd were apparently there to create a scene, not to have a reasonable give and take about important issues.

But right away Chaffetz went and spoiled his argument and his credibility by claiming, with no factual basis, that the raucous crowd was speckled with paid hecklers who weren't even from Utah.

This is a congressional district-size version of the president's oft-stated, never verified and wholly outrageous claim that the only reason he lost the popular vote to Hillary Clinton in November is because millions of illegal votes were cast.

      In other words, it's false.

  31. Gee, ya think?

You'd think a machine as experienced at this sort of thing would have identified this problem from the outset.

They might not have been able to control Clinton at all but at least they could have reliably predicted what she would do and prepared or countered it.

I think even the Russians are having some regrets over the Shitgibbon they put in the Oval Office.

The Russians were already experiencing "buyers remorse" at the time of the Democratic Convention..........too bad half of Americans were too dumb, too crazy, or too naive to have figured that out.

The brain-dead portion of our voters elected him because he was a familiar face and he fed them a basket of lies, kind of like what happened when they watched The Apprentice on their televisions.

Unfortunately many of them are too stupid to recognize what is happening now but hopefully more intelligent minds will prevail and tell this man that he needs to be fired.

Congress has had a holiday because of the Trump Attention Media Machine, however even they must realize at this point that allowing this to continue is actually weakening the country that they were elected to serve.

It was funny for a while, but now it is becoming dangerous.
