Melania Trump files lawsuit against news outlet for alleging she was an escort because...get this...it prevented her from profiting off being the First Lady.

"Allo, do you like this outfit? It can be yours. Do you like me? Make me an offer."
Courtesy of the WaPo:

An attorney for first lady Melania Trump argued in a lawsuit filed Monday that an article falsely alleging that she once worked for an escort service hurt her chance to establish “multimillion dollar business relationships” during the years in which she would be “one of the most photographed women in the world.”

The suit — filed Monday in New York Supreme Court, a state trial court, in Manhattan — against Mail Media, the owner of the Daily Mail, said the article published by the Daily Mail and its online division last August caused Trump’s brand, Melania, to lose “significant value” as well as “major business opportunities that were otherwise available to her.” The suit said the article had damaged her “unique, once in a lifetime opportunity” to “launch a broad-based commercial brand.”

“These product categories would have included, among other things, apparel accessories, shoes, jewelry, cosmetics, hair care, skin care and fragrance,” according to the lawsuit, which was filed on Trump’s behalf by California attorney Charles Harder.

Neither Harder nor the White House responded to requests for comment late Monday. Harder has represented several high-profile clients, including wrestler Hulk Hogan, who won a $140 million invasion of privacy verdict against Gawker last year.

So she is not suing because she feels she was personally defamed, and that her image as First Lady has been unduly tarnished, but instead because she cannot turn a profit while serving her country?

So to be clear Melania Trump is upset that allegations that she was once a prostitute are preventing her from continuing to prostitute her name and image for money?

Do these people even hear themselves?

  1. Anonymous2:12 PM

Soooo the Trump family is not patriotic? They just wanted to make money from the White House?

    1. Anonymous3:14 PM

Is her first "lady" line of products going to be made in America? HA HA I bet not.

    2. Anonymous3:19 PM

Are they saying that those lesbian porn nude photos did not hurt her "image"? Her claims of being a "supermodel" were just so much hooey also, too. Along with her 2 university degrees, and the fact that she speaks 5 languages. Too bad one of them is not English. She looks like a cold, calculating bitch.

    3. Anonymous6:32 AM

They'll be made in Gchina, just like the rest of their crap.

  2. Anonymous2:14 PM

I hope they don't settle before trial. Let's get some discovery going! How about those immigration documents, and what about those 'agencies' she worked for? Somebody somewhere knows something...

    1. Exactly! It would be interesting to see her tax returns for her pre-Donald years. Did her modelling actually bring in much money?

    2. It's a form of nuisance suit that hreatens to keep suing and making life hell for entities until they cave. Trump's MO.
I do like this blogger's take though!

    3. Anonymous5:41 PM

I think this is the equivalent of Palin's Wild Ride: the one topic Mrs. trump number 3 will never shake off. Ugh.

    4. Anonymous6:32 PM

      No kidding about tax returns.

Hackers, where r you on that tax return wikileaks?

Kanye West Deletes Tweets Supporting Trump

The rapper who told fans at his concert last year, "If I were to have voted, I would have voted for Trump," seems to have changed his mind.

On Monday, traces of Kanye West's support for President Donald Trump and the references to his Trump Tower meeting had all disappeared from his Twitter timeline.

West hasn't spoken — or cryptically tweeted — about the matter, but according to TMZ, Trump's executive order restricting people from seven majority Muslim countries from entering the United States is among the reasons West scrubbed the tweets...

    1. Anonymous3:22 PM

Kanye is trash, crazy trash with the same mental illness as Trump. It's rather sad that he has become the voice of a certain segment of the younger generation but I believe that his 15 minutes is ending.

  4. Anonymous2:20 PM

    Not the same?

    1. Anonymous2:35 PM

      Nope. Separate suit.

"Still, the most notable thing about Melania’s suit isn’t its thinly veiled effort to launch an assault on freedom of the press. It is that it’s so intent on doing so that it willingly embraces a grifter theory of the presidency—one that President Trump may soon have to fight in court. While the commander-in-chief insists, out of constitutional necessity, that he will not use the presidency to enrich himself, Melania has frankly acknowledged that she planned to make money off of her husband’s office. So long as it helps them take down a media outlet, the Trump family is apparently happy to drop the pretense that they’re not using the presidency to line their own pockets. Their shamelessness would make a Kardashian blush."

People Are Big Mad Martellus Bennett Isn't Visiting Trump's White House, But Where Were They When Tom Brady Skipped Meeting Obama?

Was it wrong for the Patriots QB to pass on the then-POTUS?

As soon as the New England Patriots defeated the Atlanta Falcons 34-28 in overtime, to win Super Bowl LI in Houston last night, Martellus Bennett quickly stated that he wouldn't visit Donald Trump in the White House when the team gets honored there presumably later this year.

As divisive as Trump has been, we're not mad at the Patriots' star tight end at all.

Yet, Bennett was blasted by Trump supporters for his stance on social media.

Hold up, though. Where were these same mad keyboard warriors when Patriots superstar quarterback Tom Brady skipped out on the team's White House visit with Barack Obama back in January 2015?

That's what people wanted to know as they took to their Twitter accounts to air Bennett's critics out....

Tom Brady didn't go in 2015. Let MB do what he wants, he has a right to do so. #freedom πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‘ŠπŸ½

    3. Anonymous3:23 PM

Sportsball, who really cares? Bucha dumb meat heads that got a free ride in college so they can slam each other to the delight of "straight men" everywhere each weekend for 6 months. What a racket :-)

  7. Anonymous2:30 PM

We need to help this guy! He is 71 years old.
"A Maryland blogger has been forced to pay a “substantial sum” to Melania Trump as part of a settlement for a defamation lawsuit over an article containing unsubstantiated claims that the first lady once worked as an escort, her lawyers announced Tuesday."

If anyone know how to contact him, suggest he set up a gofundme for a random (wink, wink) amount. You know, the amount one might settle a dispute for...I bet many Americans would gladly support him!

    1. Anonymous3:25 PM

That "substantial amount" may be another lie from the tRump family. Everything they claim is exaggarated - BIGLY. I STILL think he was correct about her. Her modeling certainly could not have paid her living expenses in NY. Certainly, she was nothing special.

Patriots' Devin McCourty Will Also Skip The Trump White House Visit And Here's Why

First it was Martellus Bennett, now the safety will follow suit.

After the Pats scored a 34-28 overtime victory over the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI in Houston on Sunday night, Bennett immediately stated that he wouldn't visit Trump in the White House.

Hours later, McCourty shot down any prospect of meeting the ex-reality TV star-turned-president as well.

"I'm not going to the White House," the star safety said in a text message to Time. "Basic reason for me is I don't feel accepted in the White House. With the president having so many strong opinions and prejudices, I believe certain people might feel accepted there while others won't."

He added, "I can't imagine a way I go there."...

Perhaps the question that begs to be asked is will a fully intact championship sports team ever visit Trump to be honored in the White House?

Ask us and Bennett and McCourty's snub of the 45th president is just the beginning of athletes not messing with The Donald.

  9. Anonymous2:46 PM

    Good for her!

I thought you were an advocate for women!?

    1. Anonymous3:02 PM

Right. We're supposed to stand by a woman just because she's a woman and turn on back on everything else. This is not a case about justice for Melania.

    2. Anonymous3:15 PM

2:46 PM An advocate for women who go to jail, as I think that would be illegal for Melania to try to profit off the White House. Do they not vet these things before they are put out? I think more will be made of this, so much going on today but this will not be good for Trump.

    3. No one is an advocate for grifting the American people. That goes for female grifters too----or have you not been reading this blog?

    4. Anonymous3:18 PM

My eyes just rolled so hard I saw my brain.

    5. Anonymous3:19 PM

Are you really that ignorant, 2:46?

Man or woman, anyone who sees time at the White House as entitled personal profiteering should be tarred and feathered and run out of town (better yet, out of the country.)

You sound like a Palin - now that's a real insult!

    6. Anonymous3:20 PM

Advocating for women does not mean advocating for hypocrisy. A woman who sells the image of her nude body in sexual poses, and admits tbrough her lawyers that she intended to profit off her position as flotus (remember the brief post on the WH website hawking her jewelry?)is guilty of whoring her body and whoring her political position in the opinion of some-myself included. Just my opinion.

    7. This has nothing to do with her being a woman. It has to do with her wanting to exploit her position as FLOTUS for personal financial gain (and open up all sorts of conflicts between the president acting for the good of the country vs the economic enrichment of his family). In other words, if one of the trump sons filed a similar suit, it would be just as wrong and disgusting.

      From Gryphen's post:
"So she is not suing because she feels she was personally defamed, and that her image as First Lady has been unduly tarnished, but instead because she cannot turn a profit while serving her country?"

    8. Anonymous3:25 PM

Personally I'm not so sure that's a woman because that face, it looks like a man, baby :-)

    9. Anonymous3:35 PM

      So many hypocrites here.

Of course I've been reading this blog, but sorry, I still have a brain and am not a blog cult member!

    10. Anonymous3:48 PM

I think Ms. Jenner stole her face and figure from Melania's nude photos...

    12. Anonymous5:36 PM

This reminds me of when the wingnuts whined that palin was "attacked because she was a woman." Women are people, which means many of them can be dishonest, greedy, racist assholes just as men.

I miss the Obama Family; at least they knew how to act in public.

    16. Anonymous6:44 AM

4:57. Yep,that's a dude. And now he's missing his time as a man.Is a switcheroo in the works??

    17. Anonymous7:52 AM

MY First Lady Michelle was always in demand for interviews and magazine covers. I don't see anyone breaking down doors clamoring for the "lady" in her gold-gilded tower!

    1. Anonymous3:46 PM

Over the decades, "Parade" magazine (with the Sunday newspaper) always did a big spread on newly-elected or re-elected presidents and their families. Nothing on the Trump home scene so far.

    2. Anonymous3:47 PM

Yeah, waiting for her to drop in on "Ellen" and start dancing. THAT would be something, huh? And when can we expect not my potus Donnie to break into song at the sight of his lovely classy third bride? I hear the WH corespondent's dinner will be VERY small this year, so small that Donnie will be throwing a tantrum and paying people to attend.

    3. Anonymous12:26 AM

Melania says "how much they pay me?"

    4. Anonymous7:54 AM

Yeah, I'm waiting for this so called first lady to begin the appearances on all the shows and magazine covers.
It's been plenty of time to have made at least a few appearances. Hmmmm.

  11. Anonymous2:56 PM

Her "Melania" brand jewelry and skin care is now gone. There really is no Melania brand anymore. That argument is a fail. And she is not supposed to be making money off of being FLOTUS. The Trumps are disgusting.

If only no pilot and attendants and press were on Air Force One one day and just the Trumps were on it and the plane disappeared. If only.

  12. Anonymous3:00 PM

Listening to the court hearing. Trump's lawyer was pretty bad and often had no answers, but the Bush-appointed judge keeps interrupting the WA-MN lawyer and seems bent on finding a reason, namely that he doesn't think the ban causes all Muslims to suffer (to which the lawyer said that's not a necessity) to vote in favor of Trump. So, a 2-1 vote, it's looking like.

    1. Maybe Brady drove to New York to check out Apple's new watches?

    2. Maybe because Brady is good friends with Trump?

    3. Maybe because Brady had to work out?

Did Tom Brady skip visit with Obama because he's mad at the White House?
    By John Breech / CBSSports.com
    April 27, 2015 09:52 PM ET

When the New England Patriots took a visit to the White House on April 23 to celebrate the team's Super Bowl win, there was one notable absence: Tom Brady.

According to the Patriots, Brady skipped out on the White House visit because he had a previously planned "family commitment."

As it turns out though, Brady wasn't with his family when the Patriots went to Washington DC on the morning of April 23.

According to ESPN.com, the Patriots quarterback was actually at Gillette Stadium getting some stretching in while the rest of the team was visiting with Obama.

Less than 24 hours later, Brady was at an Apple Store in New York City checking out the company's new Apple watch.

Looks like Tom Brady showed up at the Apple Store in NYC to check out the Apple Watch (H/T @katjasherlock)

    2:11 PM - 24 Apr 2015

So if Brady had time to workout at Gillette Stadium AND drive to New York City to shop, you might be wondering: Why didn't he make the trip to the White House....

"So Tom Brady couldn't attend, huh? So Tom Brady couldn't attend," Smith said on the April 24 edition of First Take. "But was he there in 2001 when George W. Bush was president? Yes. Was he there in 2003 and 2004? I'm not sure about anything, I'm just simply presenting the question because I got a problem with the fact that the franchise quarterback... the face of New England Patriots, the future Hall of Famer and all of this other stuff. Tom Brady can't do anything wrong. He passes gas as perfume, OK. That's how untouchable Tom Brady is but when George W. Bush was president in 2001, 2003, 2004, Tom Brady was there. Tom Brady was there at the White House celebrating."

Smith seemed to insinuate that Brady didn't show up because Obama's president.

    1. Anonymous3:45 PM

Well, he is a RW nut job. I was so hoping he'd lose on Sunday.

    2. Anonymous5:19 PM

Poor sucker Brady missed out on the best President ever. Brady's loss.

    3. Anonymous3:10 AM

Maybe he felt comfortable with Doofus Dubya, but is intimidated by the highly intelligent Barak Obama? Also, too he seems to have as much respect for females as his good buddy tRump. One actress was pregnant with his first son, when he ditched her for the model he married. Classy guy. She was a prize too, lived with Leo DiCaprio for several years until he decided she was too old for him. Perfectly matched couple, no high standards for either of them.

    4. Anonymous6:02 AM

Yeah, don't forget that he's married to an immigrant himself. His past-it 'supermodel' wife is Brazilian/German. She's not one of those dark skinned Native Brazilians, no nuh-uh. Wonder what kind of upbringing she had, to agree with brady's me-me-me kind of outlook on life?

  14. Anonymous3:05 PM

Could we just please call Melania the Third Lady?

    1. Anonymous3:43 PM

      Good one!

    2. Anonymous3:43 PM

We could, but she is NO lady. Third Mistress? Oh no, there were others before her and after. Let's see, Mystery Mistress.

    3. Anonymous4:31 PM

Agree completely. In March of 2006, when pregnant with her son, Melania tweeted a pic of her pregnant at the back of their plane. She was nude, but covered in some areas with gold paint. Donald was there in a high end car. The pic was taken by Annie Leibowitz and was to be published in Vogue magazine.
Apparently that is ok. Classy, not. This pic has pretty much been scrubbed from the internet, but I found one.

      10 cats

    4. Anonymous3:13 AM

So, Malaria was still advertising her "wares" even when pregnant? Classy. tRump always goes for "class". Problem is, the classy women can not stand him. Princess Diana thought he was creepy, sending her flowers constantly.

  15. Anonymous3:12 PM

She won the case and was awarded a substantial amount of money.

So while she goes forward with her plan to run a business out of the WH (trump tower branch), at least until the ethics office gets a hold of her, why doesn't she pay for her own security.

Obviously she plans to pimp out the position of First Lady, what a crass, disgusting family. And no she is not Jackie Kennedy.

    1. Anonymous3:26 PM

No, she won a separate suit against a 71 year old blogger.

    2. Anonymous3:44 PM

I read that the blogger settled. No case would have been tried by now. And I feel sorry for the blogger. Is she going to sue every outlet that published her photos? At what point does she become responsible for her actions, for the implications of those actions? During the campaign, her husband promised a press conference to detail her immigration records and another to explain her non-education records. Nothing happened. Celebrities aren't owed the same privacy as ordinary citizens; brazenly showing oneself for profit should certainly limit one's privacy rights.

    3. Anonymous4:21 PM

She doesn't need the fucking money but it's the trend now to soak the bloggers dry. (Gawker eg). Melania should give the blogger settlement money to charity, but she might not get the concept. So she should give it back to the blogger if he promises to join her in a campaign against cyberbullying.

    4. Anonymous4:29 PM

      Settled for attorney fees.

WHat do you think of this re: Murkowski, Gryph?
I am deeply suspicious that Senators Susan Collins’s and Lisa Murkowski’s votes against Betsy DeVos were not courageous and principled. Rather, I believe that they may have been just the opposite – cowardly and cynical. After all, if they really wanted to block DeVos they could have done it in committee. McConnell may have granted Collins and Murkowski permission to vote against DeVos, knowing their votes were not needed and recognizing that their constituents were strenuously opposed to DeVos’s confirmation.

Collins and Murkowski can prove me wrong by voting against putting Tom Price in charge of Medicare, a program that he himself has proclaimed he wants to end. After all, bad as DeVos is, education is still largely a state and local matter. Not true for Medicare, which is a completely federal program.

How many lawsuits is she filing over the same issue?
On Sept. 1, Mrs. Trump sued The Daily Mail in a state court in Montgomery County, Md., and on the same day, the tabloid published a retraction. Last week, the Maryland court dismissed the case, saying it did not have jurisdiction. The new case against Mail Media, a corporation that operates the Daily Mail’s website, was filed in State Supreme Court in Manhattan, where the company has offices.

Mrs. Trump also sued a Maryland blogger, Webster Tarpley, who published claims like those cited by The Daily Mail. She settled that case on Tuesday, and her lawyer, Charles J. Harder, said in a statement that Mr. Tarpley had agreed to pay Mrs. Trump “a substantial sum as a settlement.”

Her business wouldn't have gotten off the ground. It would have been a failure from day one.

    Look at Ivanka's brand.

Even Trump's brand is taking a hit.

The longer he stays in office, the worse it will be.

If Melania wants to point fingers over her lost opportunity to be a multi-millionaire by launching her own line, she needs only to look at her husband.

If she can bring herself to.

    1. Anonymous3:54 PM

How can her, as rumored, FLOTUS agenda be bullying when she's married to one of the biggest? If she wants to make a statement, divorce his sorry fat @ss while he's in office. Else, she's just flapping her gums.

  22. Sean Spicer is an idiot.

I hope Melissa McCarthy is willing and able to keep portraying him periodically until Trump dumps him.

I wonder if it bothers Donald Trump to know that his wife's image has been ejaculated on? Or, perhaps he finds the thought of other men fapping over the image of mother of his son a turn on? Twitterers should ask him, or at least thank him! #twittertwat

    1. Anonymous4:14 PM

Good idea! I don't think any of us should let the Christian cons forget about Melanie's nude photos.

    2. Anonymous4:30 PM

      not many

    3. Anonymous3:20 AM

I saw her nude photos, and was not impressed. From the neck down (before tRump bought her fake boobs) she has the body of an adolescent boy. Those photos do not bother her "husband" he showed them to any visitor at trump tower. She is not, nor was she ever "all that and a bag of chips".

  24. Anonymous3:51 PM

Haters! Why are you dumping on Melania? She has an architectural degree with numerous skyscrapers and houses to prove it.

    1. Anonymous4:37 PM

I wouldn't cross the street to see her. Does that make me a hater? NO. Personal choice.

    2. Anonymous7:30 PM

Is Melania even able to spell the word "architecture"? Yeah, I didn't think so. Sad!

    3. Anonymous3:22 AM

3:51 She does NOT have any type of degree, she dropped out of college. All those high falutin' claims were quietly dropped from the tRump website, once challenged. He was already cheating on her when she was pregnant. That "marriage" was over years ago. If he had not had Putin;s help, and lost the WH, the divorce court would have been their next stop. I wonder where her parents, who live in the tRump tower, will go after the split? Her father was an officer in their local communist party, so maybe he can go home.

No sympathy from me, being a gold digger is hard work and she has benefited greatly from her poor decision.

Besides, their marriage is a business arrangement.

Call a whore a whore. If she wasn't before Cheetolini, she is now.

A spokesperson for her is now saying (according to the Wash. Post) that she never intended to profit personally from being First Lady. Hmmm. Her hand got caught too close to the cookie jar. Then why the lawsuits?

It is called perjury, they lied in court to win a verdict.

    2. Anonymous7:13 AM

Her defense in court was that the escort article harmed her because is harmed her business potential as first lady hawking her “products”, so if they are backtracking, they lied in court. Perjury.

      The blogger should appeal !!!

Hope Daily Mail uses her retraction in court against her.

She probable got a letter from the ethics office reminding her the position of FLOTUS is not to grift off the public.

And since she doesn't take her duties as first lady seriously, she should pay for her own security.
