Psychologist calls Donald Trump a “paranoid, psychopathic, narcissist who is divorced from reality.” Oh, do people still not realize that?

Courtesy of Raw Story:

Appearing on MSNBC Tuesday night, a psychologist warned that fellow doctors have a responsibility to point out that President Donald Trump exhibits clear signs of mental illness and shouldn’t be trusted with the nuclear codes.

Speaking with host Lawrence O’Donnell, Dr. John Gartner claimed, Trump is a “paranoid, psychopathic, narcissist who is divorced from reality” who will put the nation at risk.

“If we could construct a psychiatric Frankenstein monster, we could not create a leader more dangerously mentally ill than Donald Trump,” Gartner began. “He is a paranoid, psychopathic, narcissist who is divorced from reality and lashes out impulsively at his imagined enemies. And this is someone, as you said, who is handling the nuclear codes.”

“I would argue to my colleagues that those who don’t speak out are being unethical,” he stated. “If we have some knowledge and understanding about the unique danger that Donald Trump presents through our psychiatric training and don’t say something about it, history is not going to judge us kindly.”

I saw this the other day and I thought it essentially confirms every fear that we have about Donald Trump.

If you combine the information provided by these mental health professionals to what we have learned in the previous posts down below and other information since the election, you cannot help but to be deeply troubled by this presidency.

Personally I try to keep a positive attitude and focus on all of the great protests and activism that I have witnessed since the inauguration. And that gives me real hope for the future.

However in the back of my mind is always the nagging question, will our responses be too little or too late to stop the potential devastation that seems to be looming before us?

All we can do is hope that is not the case, and keep right on working to stop ALL of his agenda items and blocking ALL of his appointees.

He is going to a republican conference to meet with big donors in FL on the taxpayers dime, just like he criticized Obama for doing.

But he has to be back in Washington on Sunday for the Governors Ball, so basically he should have stay in DC.

Unfortunately Gryphen, I don't share your optimism. Trump has surrounded himself with either "yes" people or other liars like Steve Bannon and Kellyanne Conway. And who knows how much damage the inexperienced and spoiled son-in-law will do?

Jeff Sessions Rescinds Obama Order Restricting Use Of Private Prisons

Jeff Sessions just gave his private prison cronies a pat on the behind by rescinding President Obama's order restricting the use of private prisons for federal prisoners and detainees.

As you can imagine, stock prices for those merchants of doom shot right up.

CoreCivic is what used to be Corrections Corp of America, an evil, disastrous, horrible company that has a longstanding record of mistreating prisoners.

But with all those deportations, I guess they're expecting to need those private prisons.

    http://crooksandliars.com/2017/02/trump-s-plan-make-private-prisons-rich

...The GEO Group and CoreCivic will be paid millions if not billions of our tax dollars via the Trump Administration. Trump will insist he’s keeping America safe when in reality he is tearing families apart, destroying our economy that relies on immigrant workers and business owners and creating an endless supply of clientele for private prisons.

Kansas Man Arrested For Shooting Middle Eastern Men He Thought Were Muslims

Last night, a 51-year old man sitting in a bar shot three Middle Eastern men, killing one and injuring two, before he went to another bar, sat down, and told the bartender he'd just shot a couple of guys.

According to the Kansas City Star, at least one witness heard him shouting for his victims to "get out of this country" before he shot them, apparently thinking they were Muslims.

They were not. Two of them were from India, and worked at the nearby Garmin facility.

...Hello, life in the times of Trump. According to the article, it's possible that the shooter had mental health problems, which of course is fine because gun ownership may no longer be denied to those with mental health diagnoses.

FBI refused White House request to knock down recent Trump-Russia stories

The FBI rejected a recent White House request to publicly knock down media reports about communications between Donald Trump's associates and Russians known to US intelligence during the 2016 presidential campaign, multiple US officials briefed on the matter tell CNN.
White House officials had sought the help of the bureau and other agencies investigating the Russia matter to say that the reports were wrong and that there had been no contacts, the officials said. The reports of the contacts were first published by The New York Times and CNN on February 14.
The direct communications between the White House and the FBI were unusual because of decade-old restrictions on such contacts. Such a request from the White House is a violation of procedures that limit communications with the FBI on pending investigations.

Have you all forgotten about Giuliani counting down the hours and Trump's daughter-in-law crowing about what they had up their sleeve....? The FBI and the Trump campaign were in on it together. Any bullshit about the FBI not cooperating with Trump is just that.

White House panics, asks FBI to lie to public about Donald Trump-Russia scandal. FBI refuses.

FBI refuses White House request, leaks exchange to the media instead

If you’ve been wondering just how thoroughly Donald Trump and his White House are now feeling the heat over the Trump-Russia scandal, we now have tangible proof of how desperate they’ve become to put the genie back in the bottle. White House chief of staff Reince Priebus called FBI Director James Comey this week and asked him to lie about Trump-Russia. Comey refused, and the FBI then apparently leaked the exchange to the media – and it appears Priebus broke the law in the process.

...But even as this was all playing out publicly, Reince Priebus privately reached out to the FBI twice to try to shut it all down. The first time he asked FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe to publicly announce that these phone calls between the Trump advisers and Russia never took place. This of course would have been a lie, so McCabe refused. The second time, Priebus asked FBI Director James Comey to tell reporters off-the-record that the phone calls never took place, in the hope that the media would stop pursuing the story.

In both instances, the FBI said no. And considering that CNN is now reporting the details of those two interactions, it appears that either Comey or McCabe or someone close to them in the FBI has leaked the incident to the media. CNN says that Priebus violated “decade-old restrictions” by reaching out directly to the FBI in such a manner, which makes it sound like he broke the law. This leak shows how desperate the White House has become over Trump-Russia, and how little interest Comey and the FBI have at this point in bailing Trump out.

This article in the Washington Post today got me frightened -- it illustrates that crazy man and his equally crazy followers. Made my stomach churn. His need to be loved is so intense that there is no telling what he will do to fill it, especially what he will do to those who love him and never will.

You just know that his on-staff groupies are controlling him by "loving on him" all the time to get him to do what they want him to do about taking down our government. Just frightening, all of it.

A Presidential Humiliation As Nearly 60% Americans Of Think Trump As An Embarrassment

A new Marist Poll found that Donald Trump is worse than unpopular. By a margin of 58%-33%, respondents described President Trump's conduct as embarrassing.

...According to The Marist Poll, “Trump’s job approval rating is upside down with 41% of voters saying they approve of the job he is doing and 49% reporting they disapprove. Democrats, 81%, African American voters, 74%, and Latino members of the electorate, 63%, are particularly displeased with how Trump is doing as president. To make matters worse for the president, close to six in ten Americans, 58%, say his conduct makes them feel embarrassed while only 33% report the president’s actions make them feel proud.”

The rest of the Marist data lines up with what other polls have found. Trump’s entire base of support consists of Republicans (85% approval), conservatives (72% approval), and evangelical Christians (64% approval). Only 38% of Americans have a favorable opinion of the President, and 55% believe that Trump is not honest and trustworthy.

The fact that Americans are embarrassed by their president gives Democrats a powerful tool to argue against Trump’s policies.

Trump Waste Of Taxpayer Money Sets A New Record With 4th Weekend Trip To Florida

President Trump will once again spend the weekend at his Florida private club, as his 4th straight taxpayer funded trip will set a record by spending more money on travel in a month than former President Obama spent in a year.

...Trump is heading back to Palm Beach, FL to meet with donors, “The party’s biggest donors are gathering in Palm Beach for a retreat organized by the Republican National Committee, and the president has been announced as the featured speaker, according to people with knowledge of the plans. A number of senior administration officials will also attend the retreat, the people familiar with the planning said, a key draw for the donors.”

Taxpayers will now be paying for Donald Trump and senior administration officials to meet with Republican donors in Florida. It is not a coincidence that the RNC is holding the donor retreat on the weekend in the same city as Trump’s private club.
