Remembering when we had hope.

The other day this song popped into my head and I suddenly remembered how inspired I was at the promise of a better tomorrow in America.

These days I know we often feel such despair that is it hard to remember when we had hope.

Well we certainly did and this song was our theme song.

So you take a moment to hear the words and remember how inspired we were to stand up for our country, stand up for our freedoms, and stand up for ourselves.

"Always remember that no matter what obstacles stand in our way, nothing can stand in the way of the power of millions of voices calling for change. Yes we can."

Little Miss Ivanka tweeted that we must have 'religious tolerance' as Americans. It did not go well..."Tell your father" was the HUGE response. Hope? This family hopes to rake in as much cash from the taxpayer as they can get away with, and based on the new GOP policy of "anything he does is fine as long as we can gut American government forever" they will get away with everything.

And Eric is gloating about all the money that will be in the Trump coffers by selling access to his Pop at Mar-a-lago over the next few years. (Eric's big mouth just can't shut up about his family's success at grifting!) So they'll make a fortune (illegally of course) all the while the US taxpayer doles out an enormous sum to keep Secret Service personnel at Trump's Florida pleasure dome most weekends and at the Trump Tower in NYC where we support our petulant new first lady and her son in their isolated splendor.

In the meantime, the environment will go to the dogs, climate change will continue totally unabated, national healthcare will only get worse, and the ordinary taxpayer will have to foot the bill for enormous corporate and individual tax deals for the very wealthy.

And religious freedom? Why that only belongs to the true Trump believers!

And we thought that the Bush administration trounced on the Constitution! They were rank amateurs compared to the Trump administration with its total disregard for the Constitution and the rule of law.

A good morning rant! Just the way not to start the day.

Like many so called friends of the trumps, a day in life without money will be very hard for them to survive. I bet that they would do anything and everything to keep that gravy train running. Including stealing an election or two.

the real reason for the rally ! terrifying
it was a Bannon plan to whip up base support in order to presure those in congress who may be thinking of defecting and not following orders - more of these types of events are in the works

Daily Kos has an article about his being scared of ghosts in the White House. Fun read and comments hilarious. The man child is seriously unhinged!

Oh I believe that. The Der Spooken's von handlerump ghost are stirring, lurking and stalking the rigger in charge along with his operatives. Mysterious events will occur until the Ghost of Justice take over. He should be scared, Americans feel their Ancestors screaming, and they are extremely angry. Bad actors 4tran and bots they are caught.

    1. DHS could do it. They already have pretty much carte blanche to do whatever they want.

But Milo is White an is Bannon's best buddy.

This article on TPM has a glimmer of HOPE for us, in that it just might contain the beginning of a scandal that could topple Trump.

The new story explains that a group of Trump operatives, including top lawyer Michael Cohen and fired former campaign manager Paul Manafort, along with a pro-Putin Ukrainian parliamentarian named Andrii V. Artemenko and Mr. Felix Sater are pushing President Trump on a 'peace plan' for Russia and Ukraine.

Cohen recently met with Sater and Artemenko; and Cohen agreed to personally deliver the peace plan (actually a sealed envelope with documents detailing it) to the President when he met with him at the White House. Cohen says he left it with General Flynn days before Flynn was forced to resign.

After the lawyers got involved, Trump said he barely knew who Sater was. But there is voluminous evidence that Sater, a Russian emigrant, was key to channeling Russian capital to Trump for years. Sater is also a multiple felon and at least a one-time FBI informant.

Like many shady things about Trump, it's likely going to be hard to prove direct collusion with Putin for money, but if this ever blows up, it could become grounds for impeachment

Donald Trump Channels Adolf Hitler to Attack the ‘Lying’ Press

The Führer turned it around to include anyone in the German press who disagreed with him – at least until he had made the German press entirely state-controlled – a state of affairs Trump has already shown he desires.

As The New Yorker observes, “’Dishonest’ and ‘lying’ are Trump’s go-to insults when talking about the press.”

Watch Trump’s complaints about a “rigged” and “dishonest press” courtesy of The Washington Post:

Bizarre. He went on a tour (the only reason he stayed more than 15-20 minutes) of the museum and then had to stand in front of a friggin' podium with the seal of the president on it (does he carry a fold-up seal in his pocket wherever he goes?) and make a prepared statement. WTF? He couldn't go to this museum about the history of black Americans and make comments that came to him spontaneously and that spoke from some kind of emotional place revealing that the visit meant something to him. Much of his first remarks were thanks and credits given to people who had made the museum happen--as if this were some business of his having its grand opening. Then came the canned meaningless words and that freaky use of the word "love" that he likes to use. And he made sure to deal with criticism by tossing in a comment about Jews. This guy is such an f'ing moron. Any president going to the museum could have stood in front of people at the end of the tour and spoken sincerely and meaningfully about what he had just experienced. That includes W. But Trump, nope.
