Donald Trump bizarrely triples down on his claim of being wiretapped by the past administration before then blaming any inaccuracies on Fox News.

Wait, so he claims that both he and Angela Merkel were wiretapped by President Obama, right before he throws Fox News legal analyst Andrew Napolitano under the bus as the source who suggested that the Brits did it?

The man is clearly insane!

Well at least at the end of this press conference he deigned to shake Chancellor Merkel's hand after refusing to do so earlier in the day. I wonder if Obamacare covers almost dying from embarrassment.

Better find out before it gets repealed.

What's that in the bible about killing, again....?

Pro life is just a term that WE let them get away with. Simple but true. WE let them get away with it.

Sister Joan Chittister is a Benedictine nun who uses the term "pro-birth" to refer to those people who are anti-abortion, but who care little for the welfare of the child and the parents after the birth. So she's not letting them get away with it. She's a powerful voice in the RC Church.

  7. So Trump's DOJ turned in his "proof" today to the intel committee. Nothing. It was probably little pieces of paper that Alex Jones had scribbled and drooled over.

    Something is going on though.
Jason Chaffetz actually said Trump should start acting like the leader of the free world (which he isn't) and he should watch what he says.
Tom Cole R-Oklahoma said Trump should apologize to President Obama.

      Yes there is.

Most health care professionals recommend plain soap and water to wash one's hands with. Soap by its very nature IS anti-bacterial.
The shit added to soap to make it 'anti-bacterial'(triclosan for one) is crazy-bad for you, and the environment. None have been proven to be more powerful than reg. soap in a reg. setting, nor have any of these additives been proven SAFE for long-term usage. Triclosan was originally used in hospitals.
Look up triclosan, if you feel like learning today. It isn't a specific anti-bacterial agent, it kill 'em all. Even the beneficial ones. It is considered a 'contaminant of emerging concern'.

Trump has picked a deeply disturbing hero

When Donald Trump recently laid a wreath at the tomb of Andrew Jackson, the 45th president was sending a message by choosing a hero.

It is difficult to imagine that this selection was the result of vast reading in presidential history. Rather, it was the appropriation of Jackson as depicted on the $20 bill — the long-haired, steely-eyed, bad-assed disrupter. The end of the effete, philosophical founding generation. The embodiment of a populism that venerated and served “the people.” The avatar of American nationalism.

This was, in fact, the way Jackson was viewed by many contemporaries, both supporters and detractors. He was the original, and prototypical, testostero-president. He took on the British, the national bank, the Congress, the early secessionists with a determined application of will and power. He consistently pressed the boundaries of executive authority.

...Jackson was the first president who made dueling, gambling and horse-racing parts of his public persona. He was prickly, demanding and mercurial. He was no stranger to sexual scandal. His opponents regarded his presidency as unimaginable, until he beat them.

Well, it's understandable then that Trump would want to be seen as the 21st century Andrew Jackson. I bet Bannon and his crew have been egging it all on. Someone may think that Trump actually read a biography about Jackson, or maybe a summary of one.

Rachael Donelson was't officially divorced from John Donelson, the jealous rager, but separated in 1790 when she and Andrew 'married'. Bigamy, then a legal marriage in 1794. And several duels fought and men killed on account of it. But jackson was famous for having a shitty temper, as well as being an ethnic cleanser.
Jesus, people, within 5 minutes you can read all about it on Wiki. Don't be part of the dumbing down of America. This is part of our country's history.
It was Andrew JOHNSON who was impeached. March 5 1868. DAMN IT, nobody is perfect and we all are mistaken from time to time. However, you CAN look things up nowadays easier than ever. Google can be a pal.

Sessions Justice Dept. rushes judges to 12 cities to speed up deportations

The U.S. Justice Department is developing plans to temporarily reassign immigration judges from around the country to 12 cities to speed up deportations of illegal immigrants who have been charged with crimes, according to two administration officials.

How many judges will be reassigned and when they will be sent is still under review, according to the officials, but the Justice Department has begun soliciting volunteers for deployment.

The targeted cities are New York; Los Angeles; Miami; New Orleans; San Francisco; Baltimore, Bloomington, Minnesota; El Paso, Texas; Harlingen, Texas; Imperial, California; Omaha, Nebraska and Phoenix, Arizona. They were chosen because they are cities which have high populations of illegal immigrants with criminal charges, the officials said.

A spokeswoman for the Justice Department’s Executive Office of Immigration Review, which administers immigration courts, confirmed that the cities have been identified as likely recipients of reassigned immigration judges, but did not elaborate on the planning.

The plan to intensify deportations is in line with a vow made frequently by President Donald Trump on the campaign trail last year to deport more illegal immigrants involved in crime.

The Department of Homeland Security asked for the judges’ reshuffle, an unusual move given that immigration courts are administered by the Department of Justice. A Homeland Security spokeswoman declined to comment on any plan that has not yet been finalized.

Under an executive order signed by Trump in January, illegal immigrants with pending criminal cases are regarded as priorities for deportation whether they have been found guilty or not.

That is a departure from former President Barack Obama’s policy, which prioritized deportations only of those convicted of serious crimes.

    ...More circular impressions:

White House Press Flack Sean Spicer quotes both Sean Hannity, who believes NBC is involved in “corporate jihad” against The Orange One and Tucker Carlson, who likewise believes NBC has it in for Agent Orange, rather than examining their own bias. But mostly Fox “News” has been pushing the idea that The Deep State is out to destroy the current administration.

Shadowy father and daughter GOP mega-donors invested millions in Stephen Bannon’s rise to power

On Friday, the Washington Post published a video outlining the connections between former Breitbart.com CEO and far-right Republican mega-donors Robert Mercer and his daughter Rebekah.

Robert Mercer is co-chief executive of the hedge fund Renaissance Technologies. He and his middle daughter Rebekah are political activists, donating massive amounts of cash to organizations, websites and politicians in order to advance their far-right agenda.

The Post‘s Matea Gold said, “Beginning in 2010, the family really intensified their investments in politics.”

The Mercers met White House senior adviser Stephen K. Bannon through Andrew Breitbart, the founder of Breitbart.com, who died in 2012. It was Breitbart’s death that effectively made Bannon the executive chairman of the website.

“Bannon and the Mercers collaborated on several projects together,” said Gold. “Bannon was serving both as their business partner on several ventures and effectively as their political adviser.”

The Mercers invested $10 million in Breitbart News, became principle investors in the data analytics firm Cambridge Analytica, and three other projects, including Glittering Steel film studios. The collective produced the book and film “Clinton Cash,” a hit piece disguised as a documentary about former Pres. Bill Clinton and ex-Sec. of State Hillary Clinton.

What sets the Mercers apart from other mega-donor dynasties, Gold said, is the way they have amassed such influence in such a short span of time.
