George W. Bush's take on the Trump inauguration: “That was some weird shit.”

Courtesy of New York Magazine:

Following Trump’s short and dire speech, Bush departed the scene and never offered public comment on the ceremony.

But, according to three people who were present, Bush gave a brief assessment of Trump’s inaugural after leaving the dais: “That was some weird shit.” All three heard him say it.

A spokesman for Bush declined to comment.

"Declined to comment" is political speak for "Yep."

I still hate him of course, but that is still a pretty accurate summation.

"yep" that is some weird shit floating in the swamp alright. Some "real" toxic shit.

  2. I dislike him too, but he IS funny. He could have said "no" to Cheney's clusterfuck. He didn't, and we know what happened. Halliburton got 38-39 billion.

Oh and don't forget the revenge on daddy, chaney, rummy. 911. Those wall street brats and defense contractors have friends in toxic places and in exchange for weapons, money and food the dirty deeds done cheap. And we see it again today from the nasty dirty liars of this president and entire cabinet.

I'm looking forward to the day President Obama explains this outrageous legal mess to America that we must now clean up. His voice of reason and hope is needed now. When trump and stumps resign we will need a beacon of hope and light to move forward. Just as our ancestors did.

With all due respect, I disagree that it is President Obama's duty to explain anything. He served us nobly; let him enjoy his new endeavors.

As for "beacon of hope and light," do you want another Reagan? ;-)

I did not read duty on that comment. I kinda think all living usa presidents in time of crisis must interject or offer opinions to the usa citizens that elected them. America needs leadership and there is none currently sitting in the white house. Those of us who actually love America and what she stands for cannot sit idle on side lines. Including President Obama, President Bush, President Clinton, President Carter and Vice President Biden. All should speak at the appropriate time.

That's about the only time you'll see a smile on evil old Cheyney's face.
Note that NO ONE sitting around W helped him with that rain poncho. Not even his wife.

Baby bush is the class clown. He giggles and makes us laugh. He was a puppet for daddy and chaney war games. If you check into it. You may find that Bush and Chaney are silent partners in the oil swamps of Russia too.

Bush is a just a doofus. Cheney is the truly evil one. That, of course, doesn't resolve Bush of responsibility for his egregious mistakes.

  6. Anon 4:48, I also am looking forward to POTUS Obama's words of wisdom. However, I heard last night that he has retreated to the Tahitian island once owned by Marlon Brando to draft his book. He's giving a month to the task.

So we'll probably have to wait.

I cant blame him. In order for him to help America he must focus and find the right place to write that book. Trump alone will cause his own dismay and doom. Many ethical people are working on behalf of the American people today.

I too want to help America. Where can I find a private island to write my memoirs, while Nero fiddles and Rome burns?

I didn't support the Bush presidency, but there is something about the guy that is cute. He has a terrific sense of humor. Cheney was the asshole in the Bush administration - not Bush!
