John McCain challenges Donald Trump to produce evidence that President Obama wiretapped him or retract the accusation.

Courtesy of The Hill:

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) on Sunday said President Trump either has to retract his claim that former President Barack Obama wiretapped Trump Tower, or provide evidence of the allegations.

“President Trump has to provide the American people, not just the intelligence community, but the American people, with evidence that his predecessor, former president of the Unites States was guilty of breaking the law,” McCain told CNN’s “State of the Union.”

McCain said on Sunday that if Obama “violated the law” by ordering a wiretap, then "we’ve got a serious issue.”

“I have no reason to believe that the charge is true, but I also believe that the president of the Unites States could clear this up in a minute,” McCain said, adding that Trump could call the director of the CIA and the director of national intelligence for proof.

Like most of you I really do not have much use for John McCain these days.

But in comparison to other members of his party he seems like a hero.

Let's face it that is kind of like being the thinnest kid at fat camp, but currently he is about the ONLY Republican politician calling Trump out over his bullshit.

While I may not be his biggest supporter I do call John McCain's offices to express my thanks each time he speaks out against Trump. Same thing for Lindsay Graham. Any Republican who is willing to stand up to him needs of all the support they can get.

Trump will do nothing of the kind, and threaten/fire anyone who challenges him. Same old, same old. Sickening.
    What will stop this monster?

And to McCain -- this is the very least you can do for picking Palin.

McCain has a sense of decency and is willing to stand up for what is right holding Trump to an acceptable and lawful standard.

I am sick of the practice of demonizing individual's to manipulate someone else's plan is better. Let facts of proposals speak for a convincing argument.

McCain has proven many times over that he is republican to the core. He hugged W after his people accused him of having an illegitimate black child. He has said many insulting things about President Obama. Too little, too late, Johnny. Where were all these "heroes" BEFORE this stolen election? Meghan McCain, his daughter, said on TV that President Obama will be the "sorriest ex-president EVER" here does she get her info from, if not from daddy warbucks?

Did Trump ever give President Obama a public apology for giving all the racists in America red meat by claiming for 8 years that President Obama was not born in America?

    What about Sarah Palin?

Will Trump give the first African-American president an apology by claiming that the African-American president is just another criminal?

Why would they apologize for harm done to their target or pulling the wool over people's eyes when they gained financially and manipulated adoring crowds by turning them against their "competition". Their tactic of discrediting and diminishing others served their sick
Personalities. they lack a conscience of moral right and wrong entitled to say and do as they please to meet their ends destructively to others.

You claim the Republican healthcare is socialism, what about your President and the people he takes advice from?

Kellyanne's microwave sent me nude photos of her this morning.

She was covered in an orange color, sort of like she had been rolling naked in Cheetos.

POTUS has NOT donated any part of his salary, nor profits from government business. Nor does he plan to.

POTUS doesn't even care about fulfilling a campaign promise. Only cares that healthcare is "why people love me."

Sinking suspicion that Tran really did have an "appointment." Bannon wants this to be pretext for "security improvements."

What have we come to when American democracy sounds like revolution? We are losing ourselves to the tyranny of POTUS.

Question: Why should Humpty Trumpty feel he should apologize because McCain called him out? Remember that Humpty said he prefers his heroes didn't get captured.

" “I think [Trump] addressed that in his inaugural speech when he talked about shifting power outside of Washington D.C. back to the American people because for too long it’s been about stats … and it’s been about, what number are we looking at as opposed to what face are we looking at?”
"Trump’s big lies are bad enough because they subvert the truth and sow confusion. But Trump’s attacks on the institutions we rely on as sources of the truth are even more dangerous, because they make it harder for the public to believe anything."

  14. "Kellyanne Conway continued to promote President Donald Trump’s unsubstantiated claim that his predecessor, Barack Obama, ordered wiretapping of his communications during the campaign by citing “microwaves that turn into cameras” as a possible source of surveillance.

In an interview with the Bergen County Record on Sunday, Trump’s counselor claimed without evidence that the supposed wiretapping could have gone further and suggested that one method of surveillance could include “microwaves that turn into cameras.”

“What I can say is there are many ways to surveil each other now, unfortunately,” Conway said in response to a question about the wiretapping claims. “There was an article this week that talked about how you can surveil someone through their phones, through their — certainly through their television sets, any number of different ways, and microwaves that turn into cameras, etc., so we know that that is just a fact of modern life.”"

Yes, Kellyanus Conjob is back. But I think, after this, they'll stick her head in a microwave and announce that she is done.

    Jim Wright
"Last week in an early morning Twitter-Shitter Storm, Donald Trump accused President Obama of wiring-tapping the Trump Campaign
Then you never heard another word from Trump about it
In response, the House Intelligence Committee sent a letter to Acting Deputy Attorney General Dana Boente requesting proof of Trump's Tweeter claim. The Committee requested copies of any Executive applications for surveillance submitted to the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court, and any approvals of such surveillance by that same court. And any other proof that should be at hand (like Trump found some tapes in a desk drawer of the Resolute Desk or such like).
A copy of the letter also was sent to FBI Director James Comey.
Then Johnny Walnuts weighed in. Senator John McCain garrulously shook his gnarled fist in the air and demanded Trump produce proof of his claim. Yesterday on CNN McCain snarled in his best gravelly war-hero voice, "I think the president has one of two choices: either retract or to provide the information that the American people deserve. Because, if his predecessor violated the law, President Obama violated the law, we have got a serious issue here, to say the least."
The deadlined for Trump to produce the requested proof is close of business today, Washington DC time.
    Here's my prediction:
    Trump will not produce proof.
Trump will not retract his statement.
Trump will in fact double down on his accusation -- as Trump Spokesviper Kellyanne Conway already did this morning, expanding the accusation with vague conspiracy theories about smartphones and Smart TVs and magic microwaves that turn into James Bond devices. Note: it should be pointed out Conway caveated her statement by admitting she's not, in fact, "Inspector Gadget" so she's not an expert on how surveillance actually works but you should trust her on this subject anyway. Creationists don't have to understand science to know just how nefarious it can be.
Trump will not produce any proof, not today, not tomorrow, not ever.
The Conservative mob will regard Trump's non-proof as actual proof.
Congress will flap its flabby arms in confusion, shrug, mumble vague non sequiturs of indecision, and eventually do NOTHING.
John McCain will angrily announce he's very concerned. Very concerned goddamnit. Later an aide will quietly explain that Senator Walnuts is satisfied with the "evidence" and beside we need to focus on Syria or more aircraft carriers or some other thing that McCain is very concerned about.
And Trump will once again get away with it.
And Conservatives will nod and say, see? Obama. Told you."

John McCain has come out and asked for his running mate in 2008 to provide her college transcripts and proof of matriculation and also too the birth certificate for the baby born after labor on the plane....

Oh wait, that will never happen, and because McCain has proven himself to be such a rube he's never going to get anything he asks for in Congress.

    You had you chance McCain....
