Now we are hearing that ousted US Attorney Preet Bharara was also investigating new HHS Secretary Tom Price. And the plot thickens.

Courtesy of TPM:

Ousted U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara was overseeing an investigation into current Health and Human Services Secretary Tom Price’s stock trades when he was fired, according to an unnamed source cited by ProPublica Friday.

According to a source “familiar with the office,” ProPublica reported, Bharara’s employees were looking into stock trades made by Price, seemingly those that came to light during his confirmation process.

Before and during his confirmation hearing, Democrats accused Price of abusing his office for his own personal benefit, perhaps illegally.

Price bought stock in Zimmer Biomet the same month, March 2016, that he introduced legislation to delay the implementation of a measure that would have negatively affected that company.

So to be clear Preet Bharara was investigating Fox News for paying hush money to keep employees quiet about sexual harassment,  Donald Trump's ties to Russia, AND accusations of insider trading by the new HHS Secretary?

Oh yeah, he clearly had to go.

Her "coming out of the woods" is basically her asking us all to get along and realize that we're not so different and that both sides have more in common than we think.

Fuck that, anyone that voted for Trump is dead to me, including some members of my extended family.

Ain't no olive branch being extended here, I broke that thing in half and threw it away months ago.

Bless her heart for trying but I don't think it's going to work; the divide is too great, and the two sides are too ideologically different.

Where did TPM say that the lawyer was investigating Trump-Russia ties?

    Mexico 'too'
In a "hidden base camp of the cartel called Los Viagras—the name means just what you’d think"
"“Maybe Trump is not so bad after all,” the cartel commander told me after a lengthy debate about El Donaldo’s ironfisted agenda.
“Truth is,” said Gordo, “he sounds just like one of us.”

The problem is: How far do the tentacles of Russian influence reach into the members of Congress and the intelligence and justice systems?

Trump surely surrounds himself with god awful people! He truly is evil upon our nation and everyone needs to resist him as potus.

The media is finally doing its job in investigating him, finding things out that are factual about his background, etc. It's about time!!

Donald Trump Finally Pays a Price for His False and Reckless Words

As a Presidential candidate, Donald Trump led a charmed existence. Whatever he said, no matter how outrageous, it didn’t seem to hurt him. He could insult his Republican opponents, make misogynistic comments about female journalists, call for a ban on Muslims entering the United States, describe Mexican immigrants as rapists and murderers, trot out blatant falsehoods by the dozen, encourage the Russians to hack Hillary Clinton’s e-mail account—none of it proved damaging to his candidacy. As he famously remarked, it was as if he could go out and shoot somebody on Fifth Avenue “and I wouldn’t lose voters.”

Now things have changed. He might never admit it, but Trump has belatedly discovered a basic principle of politics: words matter. They matter so much, in fact, that they can make or break a Presidency. That’s why every one of his predecessors—during the modern era, at least—has chosen his words carefully. It took a few weeks for it to become clear that President Trump, as opposed to candidate Trump, would be subject to this principle. But, at this stage, there can be no doubt about it. Virtually every day brings a fresh example of his own loose words coming back to hurt him.

His over-the-top rhetoric and hyperbole played well with his ignorant and reactionary base, however world leaders and the citizens of the world's more educated and civilized countries are not as gullible.

Unfortunately Trump's displays of ignorance and bad manners reminds the rest of the world that America and her citizens are anything but exceptional, and in fact, a country that would elect a leader such as Trump is an example of a country that is in it's waning days as a world leader, sadly.

Trump's relationship with the truth is becoming a national embarrassment

Donald Trump's peculiar relationship with the truth -- his penchant for promoting unfounded stories and conspiracies theories -- represents not just a curious quirk or a character flaw. They are a much-practiced technique that has paid dividends as self-promotion in his business career and in his political rise. Over decades spent in the company of yes men and yes women, he has been able to fire off nonsense without question or rebuke.
But now he is President Trump, and his breezy spewing of falsehoods has become a national embarrassment --a threat to U.S. security and America's standing in the world.

White House officials have just had to apologize to the United Kingdom for smearing the British intelligence agency by making false statements . This is a sign of things to come.
Indeed questions about Trump's wiretapping allegations against Barack Obama, and Press Secretary Sean Spicer's regurgitation of Fox News commentary, came up during Trump's press conference with German Chancellor Angela Merkel Friday--further evidence that the rest of the world is paying attention. He took no responsibility and said if there were questions about the allegation, people should ask Fox News about it.
What should concern every citizen is that Trump's crumbling credibility will not be limited to him. America itself is losing credibility. If the president of the United States cannot be taken at his word, America's arguments on the global stage will be easily dismissed. This will have profound and very specific consequences as the country faces new and old challenges, which will require the support of other nations.

Network of wealthy Russians has sunk $100m into Donald Trump's luxury developments

The President recently insisted he has 'no deals in Russia' but investigations show lengthy list of major investments by Russian elite in his property empire

...The real number of Russian investors may be higher, as many of the properties were purchased through ‘limited liability companies’, which allow the owner to conceal their identity.

Nearly a third of the 2044 units within the seven Trump residential towers are owned by limited liability companies.

  11. Ya' gotta wonder how Martha "Kiss Trump's Ass" Stewart feels about Tom Price so far getting a free pass on jail time for more insider money than she did/hoisted.

On her November 16,2016 show she was excited to give him a chance in the WH as an entrepreneur. However, she did leave an open ended comment on Don's experience......

Stewart managed to become accepted in New York society even coming from a modest Jersey background by using any means possible. She is as self promoting and crooked as Trump is. Trump is not accepted as he is vulgar. Martha knows decorum. Neither are liked.

The Martha difference? A hellacious work ethic and oodles of talent. She was smart enough to surround herself with extraordinary talent, even though she would more often than not, take credit for her employees' accomplishments. (She started young. Martha once gave a neighbor girl the wrong ingredients for a cake recipe so she could win the contest herself in grade school.)

However, if the sky does fall and Price does some time, Martha would have a wealth of survival tips.

    And that's a good thing.

Young Americans: Most see Trump as illegitimate president

...That Trump is undeniably the nation's 45th president doesn't sit easily with young Americans like Anderson who are the nation's increasingly diverse electorate of the future, according to a new poll. A majority of young adults — 57 percent — see Trump's presidency as illegitimate, including about three-quarters of blacks and large majorities of Latinos and Asians, the GenForward poll found.

GenForward is a poll of adults age 18 to 30 conducted by the Black Youth Project at the University of Chicago with The Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research.

A slim majority of young whites in the poll, 53 percent, consider Trump a legitimate president, but even among that group 55 percent disapprove of the job he's doing, according to the survey.

Why are we even talking about this?

Drumpf promised us "the most corrupt administration in generations" and he's making good on his promise.

If you admit that Drumpf hid his agenda in rhetorical douchebaggery and consistent obfuscation you can't really complain when he does whatever the fuck his evil minions and cabinet secretaries want to do. That was implicit in his bullshit campaign all along.

Remember: Drumpf had higher trustworthiness polling numbers than Hillary before the election. Hopefully this country has a sense of humor over the next 4-8 years.
