Russia owned news outlet applies for pass to be part of pool that follows Donald Trump around.

Courtesy of Politico:

The Russian state-owned news website Sputnik has applied for a White House hard pass and is seeking membership in the White House Foreign Press Group in order to become a part of pool rotations.

Sputnik, which Foreign Policy magazine described as the "BuzzFeed of propaganda," would be part of a rotating group of roughly 22 overseas outlets following President Donald Trump in his everyday interactions along with pool reporters from American print, TV, and radio outlets.

Andrew Feinberg, Sputnik’s White House correspondent, has been in talks with the WHFPG head Philip Crowther, who told POLITICO that if Feinberg and Sputnik complete the boilerplate criteria for being a member of the press group, there "shouldn't be any reason" they wouldn't join the White House press pool.

Sure why not?

After all how else will Vladimir Putin keep close tabs on his puppet and make sure that he is following his instructions?

Hey guys, remember when America was run by Americans?

Russia Detains Opposition Leader Navalny Amid Nationwide Protests

Dozens were arrested during the biggest anti-Kremlin demonstrations in years.

MOSCOW/YEKATERINBURG, March 26 (Reuters) - Police detained dozens of protesters across Russia on Sunday, including opposition leader Alexei Navalny, after thousands took to the streets to demonstrate against corruption and demand the resignation of Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev.

The protests, reckoned to be the biggest since a wave of anti-Kremlin demonstrations in 2011/2012, come a year before a presidential election which Vladimir Putin is expected to contest, running for what would be a fourth term.

Opinion polls suggest the liberal opposition, which Navalny represents, have little chance of fielding a candidate capable of unseating Putin, who enjoys high ratings. But Navalny and his supporters hope to channel public discontent over official corruption to attract more support.

REVEALED: Trump handed German Chancellor Merkel an invoice for billions ‘owed’ to US for NATO

When President Donald Trump met with German Chancellor Angela Merkel last weekend he had a present for her in the form on an invoice demanding hundreds of billions in money he feels is owed to NATO by Germany.

According to the Sunday Times, German officials admitted that chancellor received the invoice handed to her by Trump and called it “outrageous.”

“The concept behind putting out such demands is to intimidate the other side, but the chancellor took it calmly and will not respond to such provocations,” a German minister stated.

Following Trump’s tense meeting with Merkel — where the president refused to shake hands with her — Trump complained on Twitter that Germany was not paying it’s fair share of NATO expenses, leaving the U.S. to make up the difference.

“Despite what you have heard from the FAKE NEWS, I had a GREAT meeting with German Chancellor Angela Merkel. Nevertheless, Germany owes vast sums of money to NATO & the United States must be paid more for the powerful, and very expensive, defense it provides to Germany!” the president wrote over two tweets.

According to the Times, the President submitted the invoice requesting over $300 billion in reparations based on the Trump administration’s demand that Germany contribute 2 percent of their GDP dating back to 2012 — plus interest.

It will take years, if not decades, to regain the respect of the world after we get rid of this reprehensible excuse for a leader.

He has done immeasurable damage to our international reputation and relationships in addition to the destruction he's already caused here at home.

    3. The German parliament should take a page out of Donald Trump's playbook and say that nothing is owed, that the U.S. was paid more than they were worth for the services rendered and refuse to pay anything else. Just like Trump stiffs his contractors.

If the U.S. doesn't like it they can withdraw all of their military personnel from Germany immediately.

If they choose to stay, the cost of leasing the land their military bases sit on will be reassessed to reflect current real estate values and a bill will be forthcoming, payment to be made in in full in advance.

Trump is neither the only one nor the best at playing hardball.

Donald Trump’s Russia scandal explodes: Boris Epshteyn abruptly resigns from White House post

Trump-Russia may have a new prime suspect

Boris Epshteyn, the Russian immigrant who played a prominent role in Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign and then went on to take a high ranking job in Donald Trump’s White House, has abruptly resigned today without giving a reason. Epshteyn has had deep financial and business connections to his native Russia in recent years, and his sudden resignation today – as reported by CNN – comes as the Trump Russia scandal is exploding in real time.

Epshteyn was best known to the public as the comically inept Trump campaign surrogate who made a series of bumbling appearances on cable news networks. But behind the scenes, Boris – who was born in the Soviet Union and then immigrated to the United States in 1993 – was deeply involved with Russian financial interests. In 2013 he moderated a conference panel in New York City called “Invest in Moscow” (source: Huffington Post) which created such controversy for the city that Mayor Michael Bloomberg ultimately disavowed its sponsorship of it. In the same timeframe, Boris appeared in a YouTube video (link) in which he offered the Russian government tips on how it could win over more American money.

Donald Trump’s decision to give a prominent role to Boris was yet another instance of Trump loading up his campaign with people who had obvious ties to Russia.

Boris Epshteyn resigns from White House after claim he set up Donald Trump’s Russia Pee Pee Tape

Was Boris Epshteyn a Kremlin operative working against Donald Trump?

...When Nunes said a week ago that someone in the Trump White House is currently under surveillance, he would have been referring to Epshteyn. And if Nunes was subsequently fed intel revealing that Epshteyn was under surveillance because he was Kremlin operative spying on Trump the entire time, it would explain why Nunes flipped out and went running to Trump at his own career peril.

What many aren't understanding is that power is being consolidated behind POTUS. Investigations won't matter if he can get ahead of them.

This is a race at this point. Consolidation of power vs Russiagate collapsing on his head. When we told you POTUS is winning, we meant it.

"Reagan had one key quality that you don’t have:
He knew what he didn’t know."
"You knew the Republicans were full of hot air. They haven’t had to pass anything in a long time, and they have no aptitude for governing. To paraphrase an old Barney Frank line, asking the Republicans to govern is like asking Frank to judge the Miss America contest — “If your heart’s not in it, you don’t do a very good job.”
"As The Times’s chief Washington correspondent Carl Hulse put it, the G.O.P. falls into clover with a lock on the White House and both houses of Congress, and what’s the first thing it does? Slip on a banana peel. Incompetence Inc."
    "You got played.
It took W. years to smash everything. You’re way ahead of schedule.

OT?"The companies named did not immediately respond to requests for comment Sunday. They included ITT Corp., missile-maker Raytheon Co. and United Technologies Corp. Denver's Re/Max Holdings Inc., a real estate company, also made the list.

Another firm on the list, truck maker Oshkosh, has worked closely with Israeli armored products maker Plasan, including on the Sand Cat armored vehicle that is used by several countries, including Israel. The Israeli Defense Ministry is reportedly seeking to buy some 200 tactical trucks from the Oshkosh, Wisconsin-based company.

Kahr Arms and Magnum Research, two sanctioned firms which share the same parent company, advertise .44-caliber Magnum and .50-caliber "Desert Eagle" pistols — a product line that previously has been made in Israel.

Meanwhile, a senior Iranian lawmaker said Iran would consider a bill branding the U.S. military and the CIA as terrorist groups if the U.S. Congress passes a bill designating Iran's Revolutionary Guard a terrorist organization."

  16. Democrats are going to introduce the Mar-A-Lago Bill. No chance of passing. But it's defeat will just further demonstrate exactly what the Republicans stand for and who they work for. And it isn't the American People.

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/trump-mar-a-lago-act_us_58d72b83e4b03787d35949ad?section=us_politics

"Senate and House Democrats on Friday introduced the “Mar-a-Lago Act,” which would require President Donald Trump to provide visitor logs detailing who spends time with him at the golf resort referred to as his “winter White House.”

The bill — awkwardly named the Make Access Records Available to Lead American Government Open Act and referred to by the acronym MAR-A-LAGO — would require that the Trump administration publish visitor logs from the White House and any other place where the president “regularly conducts official business.”

Visitor logs at the actual White House are supposed to be maintained so the public can keep track of possible presidential meetings with people such as lobbyists, foreign representatives and heads of corporations. But so far, the Trump administration hasn’t made public White House visitor logs, reports NBC."

Next I'd like to see a bill restricting the bill on how many "vacations" a president can take in one year. I'm not talking official visits. I'm talking golfing weekends beyond the Secret Service budget. Sorry, but when it comes to spending taxpayer money, the president should be restricted to a budget just like everyone else.
