So how much damage has the Trump presidency inflicted on the country in just a little over six weeks? Wait, that much?

Together we'll destroy this country. That will show them, that will show them all.
Courtesy of the New York Times:

Giants in telecommunications, like Verizon and AT&T, will not have to take“reasonable measures” to ensure that their customers’ Social Security numbers, web browsing history and other personal information are not stolen or accidentally released.

Wall Street banks like Goldman Sachs and JPMorgan Chase will not be punished, at least for now, for not collecting extra money from customers to cover potential losses from certain kinds of high-risk trades that helped unleash the 2008 financial crisis.

And Social Security Administration data will no longer be used to try to block individuals with disabling mental health issues from buying handguns, nor will hunters be banned from using lead-based bullets, which can accidentally poison wildlife, on 150 million acres of federal lands.

These are just a few of the more than 90 regulations that federal agencies and the Republican-controlled Congress have delayed, suspended or reversed in the month and a half since President Trump took office, according to a tally by The New York Times.

The emerging effort — dozens more rules could be eliminated in the coming weeks — is one of the most significant shifts in regulatory policy in recent decades. It is the leading edge of what Stephen K. Bannon, Mr. Trump’s chief strategist, described late last month as “the deconstruction of the administrative state.”

Almost every one of these guidelines and restrictions were carefully designed to protect every day citizens like you and me and now they are gone.

This is not even taking into account the new focus on rounding up undocumented immigrants, the Muslim travel ban, and the attempts to repeal Obamacare.

We have heard over and over again that "elections have consequences" but I don't think that has ever been more apparent than it is today.

Getting rid of Trump won't stop these regulations from being repealed. I am sickened by this. Fear the reign of terror is just beginning.

You are right. This is the GOP Congressional agenda - gut everything good that has happened in this country in in the last 200+ years. Congress is especially bent on ending Social Security (brought to us by FDR, a Democrat) and Medicare (brought to us by LBJ, a Democrat) among other programs.

Pull all your money out of big banks, use local ones or a credit union. Do NOT get a mortgage with any huge banks even if it is cheaper. Cancel your accounts with Verizon and the other big telecomm companies and use other means to communicate. Smaller companies use their "lines" so it isn't like you won't get the coverage you need.

I was just thinking last night, "it's not even seven weeks yet?!" As one who has always clung to hope and the "glass half full" ideology, it's getting more difficult with each passing day.

Actually, he's spent his entire life deliberately hurting other people.

It's the only thing, other than media adulation, that brings him any kind of satisfaction.

We are have rapidly passed the point of humoring the simple minded in the white house. The simple minded that support him are part of the problem.
We must continue to resist in every possible way!
Trump/Bannon are trying to destroy the world!

I just read in the Wash. Post that the administration and the GOP Congress consider President Obama to be an "enemy of the state." It's Trump and his GOP minions who have willingly committed treason, not President Obama or the Democrats. It's Trump and the GOP that a want to shred the Constitution, no President Obama or the Democrats.

  9. So much so that Alec Baldwin isn't going to be doing Trump on SNL too much longer.

You left out a lot of the damage done and still coming.

The problem being there is so much of it, we are being so overwhelmed, you can't focus on it all. You keep being distracted by the next disaster.

They just used their "no backsies" rule to repeal overtime for workers. That means that regulation can never be put back in place.

    They are DESTROYING this country.

  12. Dolt45* & his krazy kriminal kabal are traitors, period. They have no allegiance to the US Constitution because they have NEVER read it! Lil Donnie thinks it has 12 Articles! 12!

For Twitler & his cohorts to knowingly falsely accuse Pres Obama of espionage is part & parcel of his whole delegitimizing of our country's first Black POTUS. They hate Obama because he is what they can never be: handsome, charismatic, intelligent, articulate, sexually attractive, and kind-hearted. They also hate the federal government because it has stepped in to help POC, women, LGBTQ community, non-Christians including *gasp!* atheists, the disabled, and the poor.

Dolt45* sees the fed government as a way to pad his pocket, line his wallet, & enrich his coffers. He cares not one iota for the American people, especially not the idiotic racist dupes who voted for him. He will not last long because he never learned how to play by the rules, to respect the law, and the care for the common good. He is a leach, too ignorant to actually be of some benefit to this country, too lazy to learn how to govern, too psychotic to put the needs of others before his self-aggrandizement. I can hardly wait for him to be removed from office!

"U.S. Customs & Border Protection said it does not contact travelers in advance of their travel out of the United States, according to an official who said any U.S. citizen with a passport may travel OUT of the country."This “review”of travel privileges is the most egregious act of Trump yet! It constitutes a greatest imaginable violation of Mr.Khan’s constitutional right of FREE speech."
